The guest house is incredibly special. So beautiful — one of the nicest Airbnb like hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It was a tiny bit creepy for me because I’m pretty sure I was the only one in the house that night so I would caution solo travelers about that. But if you were going with a couple of friends, it would be perfection!

We had a wonderful stay. We eat a light breakfast, and they had everything we needed (oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, a great tea selection) in the kitchen. We parked on the street in front, but there is also a free parking area behind the building, accessed through an alley. It is walking distance to the two squares downtown, and there are several restaurants in a restored warehouse just a block away. We would definitely stay there again if we’re ever in Raleigh.

Love this option for a quick business trip

Other guests we encountered were lovely. We didn't meet any staff, but didn't need any!

Lovely modern, clean rooms & facilities.

This was a lovely place. Clean, spacious, comfortable bed and nice common space.

A great alternative to a big hotel. Immaculately clean w tasteful, minimalist decor. Although we didn't use the attractive parlor or dining room, we did have the breakfast room/kitchen to ourselves. I enjoyed looking out through the glass wall into the cozy but beautiful fenced-in backyard. That is, until the Musak kicked in at 7AM. It WAS very low, but does anyone want to listen to someone else's taste in music that early? I had to retreat back to my room. Pros: Very comfortable bed & linens, quality soaps & lotions, good coffee, great tea selection, automatic bathroom nightlight, super quiet, ample parking. The only negative (besides the lackluster breakfast) was the multiple reminders that it cost $25 to check in early. When traveling, it's hard to judge arrival time, so we walked around in freezing rain killing time til 4pm on the dot. No hotel or BnB does this. A bit off putting for $300.

Empty house- no one to greet us. Our room was very nice

The Guest House was the perfect spot for a quick overnight. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, house and room were clean. Great snacks and common area. Will definitely stay here again!

Stay was great - awesome staff

The split AC units were broken, and given how hot it was, functioning air conditioning was essential. They did add a window unit, but it was extremely loud—sounded like a jet engine—and made it hard to sleep. Speaking of sleep, the bed was very firm, which may work for some, but it wasn’t comfortable for me. The broken wall unit was leaking water near the door, which didn’t feel safe or well-maintained. They did offer to have someone come but I was going to be leaving early again the next morning and really just needed to relax. Another downside was the lack of a TV or any built-in streaming options. You have to log into your own accounts if you want to watch anything, which just feels like an unnecessary hassle for guests. Overall, the space itself looks nice and has kitchen amenities, but it wasn’t worth what I paid—especially considering I didn’t sleep well and nothing was offered to make up for the issues. I rarely get to travel, and this was a work trip that cost me a small fortune, so the experience was disappointing. On a positive note, the location is excellent. It's within walking distance to the heart of downtown, and right across the street is Transfer Co. Food Hall—a fantastic spot with highly-rated food options.

A lovely, relaxing, and very clean environment. Comfortable beds and attractive ambience and a nice selection broke the kitchen would highly recommend. Also a nice patio venue.

Everything was perfect!

We will be back. We have many friends that would love Guest House Raleigh and will highly recommend.

We loved our stay! All the extra amenities were great. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again

Nice homey feeling.

An adorable little oasis in an up-and-coming neighborhood. The ease of parking was phenomenal, and the check-in process (spoiler alert: there wasn't one) was the easiest thing on the planet; check your text messages for the code programmed into the door and walk right in! Completely contactless for those who love that sort of thing. If it wasn't for us arriving at the same time as another guest, we wouldn't have seen a single person for the duration of our stay. The room was comfortable, nicely decorated and had cute amenities. We were looking to stream a baseball game but needed a code to add the app to the television. All I had to do was text the number I was given, and I received a response within minutes. I think the only thing that could have been better was the speed of the water draining in the bathroom sink; you literally couldn't wash your hands with the faucet running for fear the basin would fill up and overflow; but nothing a quick drain snake or Liquid Plummer couldn't fix. It's an easy walk to The Lincoln Theatre, the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts and Red Hat Ampitheatre. It is definitely on our list for return visits to the City of Oaks.

Nice place. Remodeled very nice. Self-service with many of the items outside of the room - breakfast, etc. but all done very well. Somewhat like staying at a Bed and Breakfast without the host there. The room, the kitchen/dining area, common areas, and back patio were set up very well.
- 5/5
From start to finish, every aspect of our stay was perfect. The reservation process and communications prior, during and after our stay were excellent. Loved all the extra special touches and extensive guest guide with lots of local recommendations. Great location. Very quiet and private. We will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Well-run well-maintained property, largely self-service although help was immediately available by phone when we had a question checking in.
- 5/5
They made everything easy!
- 5/5
This is the cleanest place I've stayed, maybe ever. It's lovely, quiet and there's places to walk to. The bed, pillows and room are comfortable and it's also nicely decorated. This is a relaxing place to be. We live in the area but needed a break from home projects for a few days. Great choice. Ample parking, which is also nice in a city setting.
- 5/5
The only challenge was the hot water. Make sure you read the email they send! Their tankless water system requires that you turn on the cold water first and then turn on the hot. It took awhile for the hot water to get started but then was fine.

Staying in this old but beautifully updated and restored home on a nice quiet residential street was a nice break from the hotel scene. Really loved it.
- 5/5
Had a great stay. Wonderful option walkable to downtown.
- 5/5
10/10 would visit! Can’t wait to come back!
- 4/5
Loved the quaint cozy bed and breakfast with easy self entry. Only drawback was the scent of sewer in the bathroom.

The Guest House was the perfect accommodation for our weekend stay in Raleigh. The space was so welcoming and clean. The location was convenient. The amenities were great. We will definitely stay here again in our next visit!

There is a reason this place has great reviews! I am very pleased with my stay here, felt private and spacious, parking was easy. I would definitely visit again! The umbrellas came in handy during my trip, the details are appreciated!
- 5/5
The home is beautiful very serene. Beds comfortable. Thoughtful touches, both in downstairs kitchen and our rooms. The parking in back was a lifesaver in the city. Enjoyed the outdoor space. All in all a very lovely stay.
- 5/5
This bed and breakfast is beautiful. Very peaceful decor. Extremely clean. Very nice toiletries and I am looking for a similar shower head for my own home after using the shower. Absolutely recommend!
- 5/5
I enjoyed staying at the Guest House very much. The property was well kept and maintained. It is located right around the corner to everything in Downtown Raleigh I will definitely come back and stay again while I am visiting North Carolina.
- 5/5
It was absolutely lovely. Close to everything but just far away enough to be peaceful and serene. All of the 5 star reviews are correct. It's a fantastic experience and I will absolutely stay here again. This was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.
- 5/5
It was extremely quiet and relaxing.
- 5/5
Self check in was seamless.
- 5/5
Fantastic guest house close to all amenities.
- 5/5
It we as excellent, the property is immaculately clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
First, I will say the stay was very good and look forward to returning to property. However, there are some quirks. 1) back door does not latch, thus never locks. I never felt unsafe, however a maintenance issue. 2) room was minimalistic cluttered, meaning no place to put suit cases. Another guest Allie is to see another room that had a lot of functional space. 3) dimmer switches, they did not always work, 4) portable AC. Basic, room needs done attention, not a lot, but show some love to it. Please consider these as tweaks and not as complaints. Location is great, out door patio fantastic, open space very comfortable. We are all over surveyed and everyone wants comments. This place should be a strong consideration for many reasons, but I think the room I got was more of a middle child syndrome.
- 5/5
It had an amazing setting and it was peaceful out there. And walkable from where I was going
- 5/5
Clean, easy, great staff service
- 4/5
This property was very clean and the design itself was minimalist-chic. The room was comfortable, extra toiletries were readily available onsite. My one major complaint is that the water gets lukewarm at best, never hot. Also, there are limited breakfast options - granola, yogurt, oatmeal and that’s it. I understand they are concerned with food waste but perhaps a solution would be to have a small but varied breakfast menu and ask for orders the day before.
- 3/5
Pillows were huge and uncomfortable. Breakfast was underwhelming. Super overpriced for the area and the amenities.
- 4/5
The shower faucet was very tricky to get to NOT leak constantly. minor, but annoying. Other than that, it was a great stay.
- 5/5
I flew in for a meeting, arriving at 10pm and leaving by 9am the next morning, so likely not a typical guest. There was really only one issue and that was the lack of an iron and ironing board in the room as would be typical for a hotel. There is likely one available, but i didn't ask. Other than this very minor issue, I liked everything about the property. The decorations and colors chosen are lovely and relaxing. The access after hours was simple and communication with the operators was more than sufficient. The property is less than a 15 minute walk to the convention center and an excellent alternative to the typical corporate hotels.
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful experience! A true gem in Raleigh.
- 5/5
The one thing that could be improved is the breakfast. It’s pretty much just a yogurt and would be great with some juice and bread.
- 5/5
Only stayed one night and wished we had more time. Beautiful property. Restaurants and historic district around the corner. Loved it!

Beautiful place & the perfect stay for Raleigh

great location and super clean!

Some mechanical noises to deal with.
- 5/5
Very clean and nice !
- 5/5
Scandinavian chic decor. Bright and clean. On street parking available, but park in the back as then there are no stairs to the back door. No issues with coded access. Other guests were quiet. As an older (senior)person, I had trouble understanding the shower. And had to google “how to use a Keurig coffee maker”. I may be the only person with those 2 issues, but a little card of printed instructions would have been an asset. Close to the downtown museums. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
This place is amazing! Clean, modern and welcoming-even if only virtually. I feel comfortable and happy after a long car ride.
- 5/5
I was so pleasantly surprised by this space. It was bright, very clean, and had complimentary items in the mini fridge and coffee bar. It was a contactless check in/out all done via text, which was so simple and minimal social interaction. They were always quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful room! Comfortable bed! Relaxing backyard!
- 3/5
The downside for us was the bedding. It was like a very rough linen, scratchy & very uncomfortable to sleep on. Also the pillows were terrible. One was complete mush & the other one was so stiff, it hurt my neck after awhile.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay at the Guest House and will stay here again. It was unusual that I never ran into a staff member. Everything was handled though text messages and door codes. This worked great for me, but was a bit unexpected.
- 5/5
Light-filled rooms, quiet area, outdoor seating areas, shared kitchen and sitting rooms. Really a lovely guest house and experience.
