Across the street from the mall is convenient, the key cards are a bit sketchy ours ended up not working to unlock the doors late at night, they had to replace it. Other than that the rooms are nice I wouldn’t mind staying here for a couple weeks

The room was not clean at all. The thermostat appeared to not been cleaned in years, I hated to even touch it. Hair in the shower. You could tell housekeeping always does the bare minimum.

The countertop had marks all over it and one spot about 3" in diameter that was gauged. There was a smell of old smoke in my room, especially when the bathroom exhaust fan was on. I chose this hotel to save someoney but wish I would have spent a little more somewhere else.

The staff was friendly. Overall the room was comfortable and spacious. The room, specifically the bathroom, could have been a little cleaner. Additionally, there was a basket of dirty towels left in the closet.

We had a fire alarm go off twice. We had to evacuate the building. This was a huge inconvenience. The front desk guy panicked and didn’t know what to do.

Happy with our stay in Raleigh at Candlewood Suites in the 1 bedroom suite with our pet and very convenient to downtown, recreation activities and some family events. We will return when we need another stay in Raleigh.

Upon arrival the guest service was superb. They were fast, friendly and informative. My room was clean, very spacious and comfortable. I was actually surprised at the standard fridge and all of the cabinet space.. not to mention the two burners. The bathroom is stocked with Dove products!! The bed was very comfy. I will be staying here everyone I visit Raleigh

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and friendly but the hotel itself looks old and the room smelled like food.the room was dirty at the time we arrived it seemed like someone is not doing their cleaning job at all, the counter was dirty with food residues and the blankets had food stains and small hairs all over.

Staff was wonderful! Shout out Craig for being very friendly. My only complaint is how much noise is heard through the walls and ceiling. Definitely heard people above me clomping around late, and the refrigerator was loud in the middle of the night.

Everything was great, except for the odd smell in the hotel in general. Couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but it does smell old and a little musty. Otherwise, everything was great.

Room was ok, lacked dish soap for kitchen very watered down soaps so difficult to wash dishes. Hotel should do better in that area. Everything else was fine with room, comfortable beds and clean room.

Room was okay, very basic and did not provide access to standard needs such as an iron, hair dryer, etc. Many of items were clearly uncleaned such as the coffee pot with grimey fingerprints, the bath tub floor was BLACK from the bottoms of feet, etc. Another guest even tried to check in and their room was completely untouched by housekeeping. Not the best. This hotel was in a nice area and I didn't feel unsafe as a single woman staying alone.

It was a decent price for a last minute decision. Bathroom was clean. It smelled like dog pee, room looked unsanitary other than the bathroom, front desk was very rude

The kitchen was fully equipped. The refridgerator was loud. The bathroom had a very sticky floor and lots of stains on the quartz counter top and in and around the tub. The shower body wash dispenser was empty when we arrived. And when we needed clean towels mid week, they did not have enough available - we had to ask again later that day.

I come to Raleigh frequently to visit my brother, and Ialways enjoy staying here at Candlewood! The staff is so friendly, especially Nassim, and the bed is so comfortable. The room is always clean!

I've stayed here before and will always return. For a rate lower than most area hotels, I get a good-sized room with a kitchenette and good space to work in, with two comfortable chairs to read in. Outlets are well spaced, curtains shut out night and morning light, bathroom is fine. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

Pots, pans, dishes, etc. are good and useful, but some would work best in a regular oven than in a microwave. Icemaker is noisy, but they have a note on it saying to turn it off when you're there if it bothers you. There is a room where you can buy some basic food supplies, but grocery stores aren't too far away. There's also a good shopping mall nearby with a good variety of eating places. To get there, my GPS told me to turn at a traffic light onto a street name that wasn't what was indicated on the street signs, but I had seen a sign for the hotel and got there. There is no access directly off Lead Mine. The traffice getting out was a pain. There is a light to get you out onto Lead Mine, but the traffice backs up terribly for that light and also fills in all the turn lanes but for a right turn at the next light all the way back into the light to get you on that Lead Mine. I got a good laugh out of the recliner. It's too close to the wall and can be pulled away from that, but the laugh came when I came out of the recline position. It almost launched me out into the room.

Other times, I had to ask for a different room because there was hair all over the sheets and it looked like they weren't even changed and the bed had been made with the same sheets from the last guest. When the rooms are "clean", the counters still aren't clean, the floor hasn't been swept, the carpet hasn't been vacuumed, the soap dispensers are empty, etc. I usually tip maid service $25 a week even though they only clean the room once a week at this hotel, but I've stopped tipping when I stay at this particular hotel--if I have to clean my own room when I check in, then it doesn't seem fair that I'm expected to tip for that. The front desk is always very nice about giving me a different room when I check in to find my allegedly ready room was never cleaned, but I will try to stay at the one in Apex if I'm back in town again for work because I can't handle how dirty this hotel is. Honestly, surprised with how much the room had to offer for a single. There was also a gym on the first floor, which is great if you find the time to utilize it. Overall, i enjoyed my experience and would book again if in town.

this property. was decent, they have really smalls beds. online it shows KING size available, but once there they state they only have Queen size, and when you enter the room the beds are truly DOUBLE.

No hot water. No ice machine. HVAC was either ice cold or too hot. Very hard to regulate. Room was supposed to be cleaned at least once while I was there (for a week) and was not. Had to pay in full up front, otherwise, I would have left after one day.

At first glance, my husband and I found the property excellent for our stay. While unpacking, we later found a number of cleaning issues that we had to take care of ourselves. Due to the inability to change rooms, we were refunded a portion of our stay which we deemed acceptable. After departing, I was pleased with how quickly the manager contacted me (because of my complaints) in order to address our concerns. She apologized and respectfully listened to my detailed discrepancies in order to resolve/prevent such undesirable cleaning issues for guests in the future.

The room we got was for handicap individuals and so everything seemed small and uncomfortable. It will definitely be more comfortable and suited for a guest who’s handicap.

I like the hotel in general. The location was great, right off the expressway. During my check in, the staff was exceptional. The next time I am doing business in that area, I will most likely choose the Candlewood hotel.

Clean place, excellent staff, very quite. I dont really care for window ac it blew directly on me all night. Vents dont adjust. One thing I would do is reexamine condition of white comforters. Even if cleaned dont offer menstrual stained comforters. Throw them out and reorder new ones. Its just nasty.

Even if cleaned dont offer menstrual stained comforters. Throw them out and reorder new ones. Its just nasty.

Always a pleasant stay at this hotel

Great stay for weekend getaway. Mall was right across the street, with great shopping and dining options.

Convenient only issue I had with the place was when checking out asked lady for a paid check n full receipt and she wouldn’t give it to me

The property was close to where we needed to be in a convenient area of Raleigh. Free parking was a bonus. The room was mostly clean, though a certain smell permeated, mostly in the hallways, more so than in the actual room.

Loved the room setup felt like home. Didn't like I could smell cigarette smoke through the AC vent and my room was non smoking. Overall the staff was friendly and the room was clean

Theirs hotel was nice for a one night stay. Was a little loud from outside traffic. Must be close to a fire station because we heard fire truck sirens all night. The hallway smelled a little funny and was dyed, but the room smelled fine and was clean.

Check in was smooth because of Hotels.com. Pleasant staff. Room was nice size. Shower was great. Kitchen/cooking equipment was a plus. Glass ware was a pleasant change from paper and plastic. Bed was very comfortable. HVAC keep the room pleasant during the day and night.

I traveled to Raleigh with my dog and this hotel was perfect. It was pet friendly without the high charges as most places have. The room was clean and spacious.

This is a decent hotel for a nights stay. Stayed on first floor, there was a smoke smell in the hall, and when I got to the room someone had definitely smoked in there. I quickly changed rooms. The hall was somewhat nosey and people were in and out all night. Not a resort but ok for a night.

Hotel was located in a convenient yet safe part of Raleigh, North Carolina. The staff was exceptional, courteous, helpful, personable, and Moore.

We are always looking for pet friendly hotels and usually the rooms are small but this was spacious and exactly what we needed.

If you stay on the bottom floor may the weight room you wont sleep past 8-9am. Idk if it was the weight room or what but a door would open and shut very loudly starting around 8am and never stopped.

The people are very friendly, the room is very clean, the bed is very comfortable. The temperature in the room is sometimes hard to adjust. And I wish the TV was not in the corner of the room, but in front of the bed, I always stay at Candlewood when I come to visit my brother… They’re great!

I was very average the room took about 5 hours maybe five and a half hours to warm up but the AC and the heat if you turn it up to like 80 once it reaches 80 it's just off and blows cold air back in the room and then shuts off and then goes back to 80 then shuts back off and blows cold air back into the room so the heating unit in the room is very I guess they would say eco friendly but as into me if I want my room set at 80 I want my room set at 80 not 80 then go back to 74 or 63 and then go back to 80 where I got to be wrapped up in covers half of the damn night but other than that the room is very eco-friendly a bit small on my scale but it's doable very comfortable bed I like how secluded it is in the area so it's like a little hidden gem overall state is I give it a 4.2 out of five

The bed was comfortable and the room was fine. The room had been renovated at some point but still feels like a budget room. There were a few things that were damaged (a rip in the blackout curtain which was solved by taking a hanger out of the closet and clipping the two blackout curtains together in the middle to cover the rip) but otherwise it was very reasonable.

Excellent staff. Checking was very smooth. Super clean facility.

What we expected average and clean at a moderate price. Unexpected was the great work area and mini kitchen. The gym had really good equipment.

Mostly things were good. But the hallways and lobby stank terribly. The A/C in the unit was stuck on frozen and couldn’t be changed, even though the thermostat said it was. And the tack strip under the carpet between the carpet and the linoleum was done wrong so that when stepped on, the tacks poked into the bottoms of your feet. We were in room 223.

Check in was so-so. Not very friendly, didn’t tell me anything about the place (though I’ve stayed there once before but I wasn’t the one checking in then). Talked to me w a toothpick in her mouth. Room was fine. Seemed clean on the surface. Kitchen is stocked with most items you may need to cook with. Standard linens - not overly comfortable (bed linens and towels) If you want high quality this isn't for you. Convenient location.

The hotel room was relatively new and very clean. The hotel was located near a mall with many food options.

I love how close it is to everything! The hotel also has great amenities in the room. If you don’t like to eat out, you can cook an entire meal in your room.

We never stayed. Got to our room, had a funky smell. Put our things down, saw a dead roach on the bathroom floor. We got our things, went back to the front desk and got a refund and left immediately.

The only negative is that the carpet throughout the hotel desperately needs to be replaced, and does unfortunately give a bit of a grimey look to the interior. The rooms and all communal places though are diligently cleaned.

Nice sized studio for the price. The kitchen had many accommodations. The gym is attached to the laundry, so it was warm and there was limited cardio equipment.

Went down to Raleigh for the State Fair and had a good time. The hotel overall was good and clean.

Good hotel. Entering the room there is a strong odor of cleaning agents. One does acclimate fairly quick, though the odor did abate over my 3-night stay. The suite had cookware, utensils, and related items to which I was shocked. It even had a dishwasher! The bed I had might need replaced as it did feel worn and it was welcome to have a choice between soft and firm pillows (which were embroidered on the cover). Providing extra firm pillows would have better. Parking lot is well lit with LEDs. Should you have muddy shoes, outside the entrance there is boot brush device. A downside is that the hotel is close to a heavily travelled road, so entering/leaving can be a bit challenging.
