I spoke to the front counter and left a very generous tip to make sure my room was cleaned and tidied up by housekeeping staff. They kept the tip and I came back later that evening to a messy hotel room that had not been touched by House cleaning.

The check in staff are always friendly and accommodating. The room rates are always perfect! The location is great to where I need to be while in Puyallup. The bathroom was dirty. The spill guard didn't work on the tub, water got on the floor and upon cleaning it up, the towel came up black from behind the toilet. When I mentioned this upon checkout, it was almost like an inconvenience. The mattress was also lumpy and not comfortable...probably at the end of it's lifespan.

Air conditioners have something wrong with them as they’re extremely noisy and then it goes away and comes back. The exhaust fan is squealing beyond what anyone could deal with. When my deposit got put back in my account. It was short about fifteen dollars. I called to see what was going on.And I was told that there was something on a linen but was never told exactly what it was. However, the bath mat towel when we arrived had a black mark on it and we just used it as it is on the floor and as a bath mat. Most likely, I am being charged for that. As nothing else stands out, that could have anything on it. A pretty ridiculous to take money out of my pocket. And not tell me why I was never informed.I had to call multiple members to find out why I was short money. Then, to be told it was because of a linen thing, and being charged fifteen dollars for a towel that costs probably half of that. Also the door in the entry of the room you have to really slam and push it.Because the door is coming away from the door jam.

The updated WiFi works great! I have a kitchenette unit, it is very spacious, and very easy to use appliances. The bed and pillow are heavenly, and this is a huge must for me as I suffer from neck and back issues. The staff are all very accommodating and friendly. I will say, if you don’t like the sound of sirens, this wouldn’t work for you, as there are plenty, due to being right next to the local hospital.

Fresh Paint and some new furniture, can’t hide the lack of love this place so desperately needs. The place is old and is in need of severe overhaul. The door to our room looked like it had been kicked in numerous times and no longer could sit tight against the frame. The outside noise and cold air blowing in kept us up most of the night. Housekeeping looked like they did a drive by when they cleaned. Lots of hair and dirt still in the bed and in the bathroom. Pay the the extra 30 and stay next door…

Furniture in room was already broken when we checked in. Not slightly, the frame was barely attached to the bottom of the dresser. The in room phone was plugged into itself, not the wall. When I tried to fix that, I couldn't find the phone jack at all! The staff was never outright rude, but both front desk people I spoke with seemed like they would rather be anywhere else. In the morning, the attendant seemed annoyed she had to put her phone down and stop texting to assist me. Our reservation was booked online, and there was no security deposit mentioned, but it was required to stay. After checkout, I was informed it would take 7-10 business days to refund. Overall, it was a room for the night when we needed it urgently. If there are any other options, they'll probably be better.

I have never known road noise until this place. I could not sleep at all. I had the fan on as high as it would go - still tooooo loud. Finally started dozing off at around 4am. The fire alarm went off at 4:30. For a while. The phone doesn't work in the room. Took a bath to get sleepy and the handle to turn the water on fell off in my hand. It was a nightmare. Is it Wyndham? Travel lodge? Base Camp? Who is the company who is responsible for this mess?

The okay: the road noise is a lot but I'm a light sleeper, and with my white noise app I was able to drown everything but ambulance sirens out. I know the hotel cannot help this (and I don't fault them for it) but something to consider when booking a hotel. They have complimentary ear plugs at the front desk if you ask. The only negative: our room was a little chilly. We were able to warm up the room through the thermostat but it took an hour or so to get to a comfortable temperature. I normally sleep warm so this was unusual for me. The hotel could probably replace the door seal to help lower the draftiness. Overall it was a good stay. We will consider returning

This hotel is a destination for HorrorCon/WA Expo events and walking distance (you should expect that nearby traffic will be loud at night through - you are right next to a hospital btw!) Severe weather in late October - knocked out the power for 3 hours, next time we mite bring extra lamps, was not so bad however the mini-fridge/micro/tv were not on a surge protector as it turned out. Power came back on and we heard frying electrical noise and burning smell. Front desk super friendly to offer to swap out replacement fridge right away. So main complaint is no surge protectors for bad weather each year. Great beds and marshmallow cloud pillows, with microwave and fridge in rooms. Will be back again.

Close enough to walk to the Fair and not have to pay extra for parking. The rooms look like they have all been uodated recently and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms are. The only issue i had was that the AC didnt seem to be working within a few min of our arrival as it was 74° in the room. I dis mention this to the ofice and was told to use the panel on the wall next to the TV which i did. The AC unit finally did come on once or twice for a few min each time but after we left and came back the temp was still 73°. Throughout the entire next day the room temperature never dropped below 73° when we went to bed that night. By that point we were leaving the next day but for someone who does not handle heat well at all it was extremely uncomfortable.

It is located along side the freeway so it was quite noisy from traffic for most of the night. We had an issue with our room keys at the beginning but the staff were very quick to get us into our room. Things worked as expected, other than my door didn't close unless you slammed it, and housekeeping left it open one day. Fortunately, nothing was taken. The hotel looks nothing like the picture. It's old and kind of run-down. It's also right off a busy and loud road. The customer service was terrible, and the staff needs some massive training on the basics of dealing with people and problem-solving. Absolutely not. The room was dirty, socks were black. No outlet cover for tv, cords just hanging. Tv didn't work half the time. Coffee maker didn't work half the time. Shower faucet broke off. The noise from the highway is insane with loud mufflers every 5 cars and ambulances because the hospital is right behind it. Police activity is very present, even at the hotel where they showed up because someone hot boxed their room 2 doors down. Wasp nest right outside our room where wasps were crawling up under a crack under the roof so guarantee there is an even bigger one. They also overcharged me by $100 so I will be requiring a refund on that. No elevator, 3 floors up

For the 4 nights I stayed in Basecamp, not one time did housekeeping come and clean. The morning we were checking out housekeeping decides to come? We needed a place to stay close to the fairgrounds. The hotel was situated so we had an easy walk. The room seemed updated and the bed was comfortable. The outside stairs were at a slant as well as the walkway to our room. One major drawback was the traffic noise. I like background noise when I sleep so I was able to not be bothered except for the occasional ambulance. If you want a quiet room, don’t stay here

This was a one night stay and we weren’t expecting much upon arrival . Having said that everything was great until around 4 -4:30 am when the noise kicked in. This hotel is on a main road and next to a freeway entrance. It was like being on a speedway lol. It is also apparently close to a fire station because it was non-stop sirens. They need to work on their cleanliness. You could tell the toilet and tub had not been cleaned. The floors could have used a sweep and mopped. This room has no iron which was really inconvenient for me. I didn't turn on the TV so not sure if it was connected or not since I noticed the HDMI cord not plugged. The window had a stick which told me the lock wasn't very secure. I only got this room because I needed somewhere to stay for the night and be able to shower in the morning. If you're looking for a place to be able to relax this is most likely not the place. You can hear the traffic going by and several times you could hear the cops going after someone. The only convenience was it was near where I needed to be.

This is a no-frills motel with no amenities. Exterior is outdated but rooms have been updated and are clean. The only complaint we have is the busy street traffic noise and a hospital nearby with emergency vehicle sirens throughout the night. So light sleepers should avoid! This place was suitable for what I paid, $85, I didn’t have high expectations but I was looking for cheap. It was clean, staff was friendly but the front door was hard to deadbolt the lock so when I found the sweet spot the door left a gap enough that showed light coming from outside and the tremendous amount of traffic noise. Worse part of it was hands down in my 46 years on earth was the worst mattress ever. Like I said, I am cheap and I would stay there again.

They upgraded this hotel really well. The bed was nice, the bathroom was good. Our overall complaints would be that the heater didn’t work right and would switch to AC suddenly. Not the worst place, in fact it was my new favorite after a couple of stays but that changed when I was told I couldn’t check into an already-clean room just 45 minutes early without a $30 fee. The room was ready, I’m clearly just a tired business guy and not some sketchy tweaker, but that small consideration to customer happiness was thrown out for the chance to make a couple more bucks. I even asked her if the room was clean and ready, so that it would be no pressure on housekeeping, and she said, “oh yes. You just need to wait an hour or pay $30.” Ridiculous. So the search for a properly trained staff continues else where I suppose. Don’t even ask to get a room with a desk or chair, lol.

I stayed here for five days while my mother was in the hospital at good Samaritan. It provided a good economical solution for my visit. The room was pleasant and the staff were very nice and accommodating. The only problem was my neighbor on the third floor is someone that they have allowed to stay long-term And that person yelled at me using profanity because I slammed my door. The reason I slammed the door, which I shared with him is that it wasn’t locking.

Let me start with me and my family of 4 had a terrible time. I have 2 little girls under the age of 4 who need their naps and good rest. This room was so vulnerable to all outdoor noises, sounds, and lights that it was equal to have been outside in the street. The front door was not sealed correctly. You could see the light from outside shining through all 4 sides of the door including what ever smells, lights, or sounds were outside. The ac unit was the same thing. It wasnt sealed and you could see gaps everywhere which let in alot of things you just didnt want to drao with especially when paying alot of money. I spent 555 dollars for two nights that none of slept at all. I spent one morning at 5am in ky car to get an hour of sleep. It was more quiet in my vehicle than in our room. Id honestly like my money back. We were woken up so many times by loud trucks, reving engines, police sirens, ambulances and fire trucks. They also only provided us with 2 towels for a family of 4. It was dirty outside and very low budget vibe. I honestly would like my money back. Thanks for a bad time and now i need to take another day off work to get back the rest i lost on my vacation.

Location is on a very busy road where police, ambulance and fire sirens seemed to be going night and day. Scary people who were not staying there lurking around the very cramped parking lot. They key cards didn’t work 75% of the time and not just ours, other guests had were constantly in the lobby with this issue. Took 30 minutes to check in because the computer wasn’t working and there was only one staff that could do it who was constantly being interrupted about the keys cards not working or som other issue going on at the place
