Le Clos Grand

The staff were quite nice after warming up to us. We didn’t like that the pictures on Booking did not properly depict the property. Our room was very small and definitely needed some maintenance. We did not see the rooms in the Annex so, do not know if they were of a higher standard. A pool was advertised but, as far as we could tell, didn’t have any water in it. People booking need to pay attention to the hours for the restaurant! It must have been a lovely place in past years.

Location was great for stopping through. Car park was secure and they lock the gate at night Didn’t look much like the photos. I think maybe because it was winter ? The room smelt dusty. I booked this because it was cheap for the area and had free parking and pay at property. Probably wouldn’t stay again sorry

Evening meal excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Accommodation in need of repainting and updating. The shower/bathroom was particularly bad with mouldy grout, a light adjacent to the shower frankly dangerous and a colour scheme desperately in need of replacement.

Very basic and no frills so don’t expect too much. The cover photo glamourises the place but there’s nothing wrong with it here, you get what you pay for. Pool looked ok.

The hotel is ok for a couple of days. Good air conditioning in the rooms. The hotel has a nice garden with good shadows. The best is the quality of the restaurant food. Very affordable and delicious dinner. The swimming pool is a plus but only to be used for a short while because the space is very small around the pool. Enough parking with good shadow. The bathroom was outdated, and the paint was falling out. The shower head could not be fitted nicely. While the dinner is excellent, the breakfast is very simple and it misses some chess, ham etc. The pictures are a bit deceiving. The pool space is small, and I would not recommend it for longer-term holidays with kids.

Comfortable & homely good for a short stay. The hotel needs a large capital investment to bring it up to date as it is well worn & needs updating but OK for budget travellers.

The staff were particularly welcoming. The property was quiet. Evening meal was excellent. The pillows were soft- just the way we like them! It looked a little careworn. It would have been good to have had a window in the room, particularly as the air conditioning wasn’t working.

Quiet village location with nice garden & pool. Room had a balcony. Nice restaurant attached with good food & good service The tariff was very reasonable The part of the building we stayed in didn’t look anything like the photo on the website. On arriving we were told that the air conditioning wasn’t working although it was advertised as having air conditioning.Fortunately we were able to open the balcony door to let some air in overnight. The rooms are dated but comfortable.
