This was the most run down hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Floors are dirty, rooms are dirty, no phone in room, tv remote won’t work (stuck w 1 channel), don’t clean room unless requested before 9am. Always people outside the hotel lurking around. Makes for an unwelcoming feeling. And if you book ahead of time there is no refund if you want to cancel and go somewhere else.

The room we were in was on the first floor. The people above us on second floor sounded like a herd of buffalo and every time a toilet was flushed or they used the shower, it sounded like a waterfall. Hard to sleep with so much noise.

I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights and I couldn't even stay. It is not wheelchair accessible, there is no jacuzzi to shut the bathroom door you had to stand in bathtub didn't matter as there was a hole in the door. Wheelchair wouldn't even fit into room. Smelly dirty carpet dark gringy rooms. Checked out right after I checked in accepted the penalty for early check out. Was told id recieve a refund for the last to days on both rooms but the mgr. And owner decided they would keep it all. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

The next room was adequate, quiet and comfortable. The continental breakfast was an absolute failure. We went in a little after 8:00 and there was nothing edible. The waffle mix was Nell. And only thing that was there to eat was yogurt. When we brought it to the attendance attention she put everything like donuts, waffle mix so we would have something to eat. We were there for only one night but our chances of staying there again is probably small. Nice location easy to get into and get out of. Just a few little glitches makes a big difference when there are so many different places you can stay.

We stayed only one night and had a function to go to so we weren't there much, and had to leave at 8:00 AM. We asked for a quiet room since we are light sleepers-and were pleased that the room was quiet. The carpet one the stairs and hallway was worn and didn't look as though it hadn't been vacuumed in awhile. In our room there was a candy wrapper on the floor between the bed and nightstand and more wrappers in the drawer of the nightstand, which made us wonder if how much attention was directed toward cleanliness. The staff were friendly enough and parking was easy.

The filthiest and scariest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Realized at midnight that the window to our room was completely broken out! The sink was also broken with a large rusted hole. The carpet felt wet and sticky. Transferred to a new room with ripped up carpet, what looked like blood on the curtains and holes in the walls.

This must be a hotel that is being remodeled, as the rooms were old and needed work. When we arrived, there were no toiletries and only 2 towels in the room. The room was hot as the heater was set to 75 degrees. When I looked for an iron to press my clothes, there wasn't one in the room. I had to go get one from the front desk, and it was only a half ironing board whose legs were broken. Breakfast was a standard continental breakfast but was not replenished for guess arriving later in the breakfast service and there wasn't much to pick to eat. Lastly, the attendant at the time of check-out could not provide a receipt and took my email, saying he would email it, but I never received it. I would not recommend this hotel.

Well it was the worst place Iv ever stayed. The outside looked unkept. Then when we walked in it smell musty and the carpet was dirty and coming up. Then we got the slide keys 2 one didn’t work. We walked into the room the carpet was dirty not vacumed well, the sink had spit and a burger blown into it and dried. The tub had a ring around it, the water didn’t get hot, the walls had finger prints on it, the bed sheets was dirty and no coffee pot, then the tv didn’t work right because the internet was to slow, then we had to replace the keys two more times. Then on our second day we were staying another night and the cleaner knock at the door at 9 am because they didn’t look at the map to see we were staying another night. Plus there were rat traps around the building. We will never go back.

This property is a little “tired” & could use some updates, but our stay was fine. We especially appreciated that the mini-refrigerator in our room was inside a cabinet, which cut down on the noise (in other hotels we’ve had to resort to unplugging the fridge ti be able to sleep). Also that during the complimentary breakfast the tv was set to a nice nature scene with pleasant, low volume music, instead of blaring news. The air conditioning in the room worked well, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was also very convenient for us.

Property is dirty! Looks like people are living there, there was a naked guy standing in the window when we parked, there is no hot tub dispite being advertised, they lied and said they didn't have a pool, then when called out about it they said it was being worked on. Hair in tub, dirt ring around tub, clothing tags in corner of bathroom. Cigarette butt under bed

The only thing I like was how pleasant the Lady at the desk she was kind and helpful. The carpet felt sticky and the tub has a ring in it. The room gives a weird smell. There’s no phone in the room. The carpet in the hallway and the lobby is very dirty. The owner should try to keep up with the cleanliness. The blinds on your window by the office is awful it’s broken. If all these things are taken care of people can have a pleasant stay at your Inn.

We arrived Saturday night and asked if the advertised pool/hot tub are working. The pool was seasonal and no hot tub onsite. I'm very disappointed at this point, and begrudgingly pay for the reservation. We went to the room and the first thing in the door I notice the sink has black stuff smeared in it. My wife said, "If they can't clean that, what other things are dirty?" We made our way back to the front desk to ask for a refund. Front desk guy calls his manager and speaks to him in a foreign language. He then tells me I need to get my refund from Expedia. I call Expedia and and I explain the scenario. He calls the front desk guy for more details. Expedia guy then explains to me that since I paid at the front desk and not through the site they would not be able to refund my money, but the hotel should. The front desk guy said I would have to talk the Manager on Monday because he couldn't get ahold of him, then same manager he talked to 10 minutes earlier. I graciously left the room keys on the counter and left with my wife to go find another hotel that was more reputable. This hotel should be avoided!!

We reserved a king size bed 4 months ago. When we checked in, they didn't have one. They offered 2 queens for the same price. Four months should have been enough time to let us know they didn't have what we reserved. The carpets in the public areas needed vacuuming and/or a good cleaning. The bases of the lamps in the room were dirty. There was no clock. The tv and remote were confusing. Staff were friendly.

The location was good. close to I 90. That is literally the only reason I can imagine that ir's still open. The smell in the room was awful and there was what we thought was a large stain on the carper between the bathroom and sink. Once we went to get ready for bed, we realized that the "stain" was actually where the carper was wet and our socks were now soaked in some "questionable brown liquid." My husband had to turn the water valve on because someone had shut it off and we couldn't wash our hands I don't usually write reviews, but felt like I needed to warn about this place.

The hotel is extremely run down. It is NOT clean. It was very late at night when we arrived. Our room smelled very funny. The sheets were dirty, so were the towels. We didn't dare take off our shoes. We slept with the window wide open. The room was in poor condition. We asked the staff to change our bedding and our towels. The woman either didn't speak great English or pretended not to. She kept saying "housekeeping issue", and it was busy for the weekend but it actually was still a Thursday night. They gave us one extra towel and changed the bottom sheet off the bed that was stained. We asked for a refund so we could go somewhere else, she didn't understand. We couldn't find an available hotel in close proximity so we were out of luck. After a lousy shower, we put our street clothes back on in fear of opening our suitcase with our clean clothes. We slept in our clothes, and were fearful of bugs all night, (we didn't see any), however I felt itchy all night and all the next day even after another shower and clean clothes. After a very restless night, we left very early in the morning. As we were leaving, we glanced at the ceiling, and above the bed looked like blood splatters, or at least some sort of fluids all over the ceiling. I wish I could find something good to say, but there isn't anything. I usually am very understanding of things, but this was beyond imagination. This hotel is what nightmares are made of.

TV didn't work in the first room moved to the next, with 600 lbs of gear I had to move twice, a pet fee of 20$ staffs English was terrible. After checking in the next day, was asked if I paid the pet fee again. You can't look that up or ask the morning person? The room card would not work after the first use, had to continually go back to the desk and asked for a new key to be made. In all, I stay at motels very often and this was one of the worst. Will not be coming back. And again, the pet fee was never mentioned in Expedia. Was only mentioned when I went to check in. I believe on Expedia that all fees are paid through the app

The fact that I could leave the next morning. I booked 3 rooms with 6 queen beds 6 months in advance. We got to the hotel, they only had 2 of my rooms available on complete opposite ends of different hallways, room 123, and room 151. My 3rd room was not available and we got room 217, 1 king bed instead of 2 queen and and 2 kids had to sleep on the floor. Room 151 was the okay it was basic it was way better than room 123. Room 123 smelled of pure URINE the beds were yellow under the sheets, but the smell was coming from the carpet like maybe a dog was in there for a month without being let out and thats not an exageration, The window was wide open with the screen popped off when we entered the room, window also wouldn't lock so we were terrified someone was going to come in all night. Although the king bed was nice it was all the way upstairs away from the other rooms, it didn't fit the 4 people that the room was supposed to house, and the window wouldn't lock, and there was no screen, very scary with small children. Also my husband went down for breakfast and when he got back had to wake me up because the room key just decided it wasn't gonna work anymore. They claimed it was because it was a busy weekend. I understand that but when I paid for a 1 night stay at a hotel February 25, and the stay isn't until August 9th. You would think that they would have saved me my rooms before renting them to walk in customers..Very disappointed 0 stars I will never stay there again.

She responded in her native language which i didnt understood.

Windows are off tracks and often do not close properly, there was a hole in the bathroom above the shower head exposing pipes, and the website stated there was a hot tub for use and there is not. We didn't eat the breakfasts we were either already gone for the day or got up after breakfast was over. Would really recommend removing the fact they have a hot tub off the website, and do some updating.

Broken items in the room like the toilet paper holder, door casing and latches, unclean or used bedding sheets, room is dusty and unclean, furniture is old and beat up. No coffeemaker in room, no blow dryer, no shampoos or conditioner, poor quality and questionable cleanness towels. Hallways are even worse. I doubt the carpet on hallway has ever been vacuumed or shampooed. Scratched walls have not seen paint for long, long time. At the time of checking out, they charged me $10/per night more than at the initial online reservation. Never again!

The next morning at the continental breakfast my wife had to make the coffee since the front desk person was not present for about 20 minutes. It was the same person from our check-in experience. In the room the window frame was broken in the center. The window wouldn't open. The smoke-fire alarm was not attached and stuck in a closet. The door frame was broken and if some one pushed firmly on the door from the outside it would open when locked. The sink didn't have a plug. At least the sheets and bed were clean.

I would never stay that this red lion ever. It was gross and dirty. No toilet paper in bathrooms when we checked in, had to wake up someone in my room to go to the front desk at 1am to get toilet paper to use. Key cards wouldn’t work, the maids key cards wouldn’t work, had to have the master (actual) key from the manager to get back into the room eveytime we left the room; even when returning to the the hotel with sleeping kids at 1am. No towels or wash clothes in the room when we checked in. The “breakfast” is a waffle maker, wal-mart brand yogurt, and mushy apples. Wall paper falling off the walls in the hallways, gross dirt carpet, the entire hotel smelled musty and moldy. The owners are clearly not taking care of the property. Not what I would expect from a Ree Lion Hotel, and not in a good way….. I’m wondering how they passed the health department expectation…. I will pay 60$ more a night to stay at the hotel a block down the the road….

I had booked 2 rooms. 1 for my husband and I, the other for our daughter and 2 grandkids. I booked each room with a king bed. We arrived and we were shown rooms with one queen bed. Then to top it off, my daughter's room wasn’t even cleaned. Trash was still in the trash cans. The bed was stripped of any sheets and not made at all. The comforter was rolled up and placed on the chair. The room was a disaster. And because there was no king bed, not all three of them would fit into one queen. There was also supposed to be a small couch in each room. There wasn’t. Only one very small chair. My daughter was upgraded to a two queen room on the floor above us. Which I was upset about, because I requested rooms next to each other. My husband's and my room wasn't very clean. It smelled awful. I wanted to change rooms, but my husband didn't want to make a fuss. I tried not to touch anything when I was there. I felt gross the whole time. Upon checking in, my daughter and I waited for someone to come to the front desk after ringing for service. When the person finally came, she had a thick accent and spoke low and fast. I am hard of hearing and when I asked her what she said, she repeated it and then proceeded to ignore me and talk only to my daughter. She handed my driver's license to my daughter and told her thank you, when I am the one who gave it to her. The lady proceeded to hand all paperwork to my daughter that I needed to sign. A chair was missing a wheel in our room. It was bad

The lady at the front counter immediately started to hell at me about giving id I stated I was grabbing it I just had few questions then she repeatedly saying it and being rude I then said this is not customer service I'm not going somewhere where someone yells at me. I asked if I cancel my room are you going to charge me anything she said no. I asked again are you going to charge me anything not a penny right. She repeatedly said no. I went to a hotel down the street the people where great and when I got up in the morning they charged me. I went back over there to the place that charged me and same lady was at the desk. I said what the heck. You told me you where not going to charge and she smiled and said oops. I then looked at the reviews which I should have done first and this place is by far the worst problems with fleas all sorts of problems. When you see the name red lion u expect a great place I can't believe cooperate is allowing this to be apart of a normal great place. I'm contacting cooperate about this hopefully they get ownership of this property and get to be the great place they usually are and get this bad pLace of there.

Worst hotel experience ever. Expedia shouldn’t be offering this hotel that shouldn’t be called a hotel but a homeless stay. We arrived at 11pm and as soon as we entered the hotel we noticed how dirty it was and run down. We walked into our room and noticed the room smell bad, sheets had holes, stains and worst of all blood. I went to talk to front desk and the lady barely speaked any English. My family didn’t want to stay because the beds and pillows were in terrible conditions, bathroom with mold and fungi, hair at tub and grime. I called Expedia because all three bedrooms we booked were the same way and Expedia promised to help but we had to stay because it was midnight and I was still on the phone with them since they had no response from the hotel because the lady didn’t speak any English. Next day we left at 9am to a different hotel and I am requesting a full refund, blood on sheets is a biohazard issue and not risking my family.

Deceiving pics, no hot tub, no hair dryers or coffee maker in room. Carpets very dirty, stained & coming up. Mice in the outdoor pool area that came right up to people, trash & cig. butts by entrance. Chlorine tablet tossed in the pool not in a container, my son picked it up & asked what it was. 1st room, floor was not vacuumed, tiny round toilet with oval seat that moved way too much, no soap or extra toilet paper, & something smeared across one headboard. 2nd room no rack or bar in door of tiny fridge, single pane window track broken so window was falling in, dirty furniture, & no stopper in the sink. There was some soap/lotion/etc all different brands, & 2 towels for 4 people. Did get more towels. Asked about an elevator because spouse has a heart condition, no elevator. Walked past the front desk with our bags & the man there said “fat Americans” under his breath. There was a leak in the hotel so the water was turned off to the whole building for somewhere around 4 hours! No sinks & no working toilets! Plumber finally called so maintenance crew went next door for a case of beer & snacks! No A/C in hallways or lobby. Your GF option for breakfast is yogurt, everyone else can have donuts, muffins, toast, cereal, or waffles. Was really expecting a certain level of quality with the Red Lion name, extremely disappointed! We checked in and the front desk spoke very little English. Hard to understand but was patient because she was new. I asked for receipt several times and she said I would only be given one at check out, which I thought was odd because I’ve never been given one check out. I’ve always been one at check-in. We were given our room key and got ready to head out to our dinner/cruise reservations and saw the couch was covered in food crumbs and stained. On our way out we noticed the bathroom door was broken and laughed and decided not to close the door when in use because we didn’t want to get locked in. When we returned at almost midnight the hotel came to us and offered us a new room because they realized they mistaking gave us the room with the broken bathroom door but it was too late and we had our things still unpacked and we’re too tired to change rooms. The breakfast was not fully stocked and the hallway carpets had bleach stains. The King Size Bed was only nice thing about the stay. When I checked out they gave me my receipt and it had a room charge. I paid for my room IN FULL at booking on hotels.com as of today 7/22 I had a room charge for 86.10 from RedLion!

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for one night of our roadtrip and based on the online pictures we thought it looked fine. Upon arrival we were sorely disappointed and uneasy about our housing for the night. When we got to our room the battered and scarily scratched door set the tone for the night. In our room we were surprised to find a door to a conjoined room next door that was not in the room description. The room smelled of musty and smoke despite it being a no smoking area and lastly it seemed like we could hear the rest of the hotel’s inhabitants for the night in our room. Walls had no noise canceling elements and all this combined resulted in an anxiety ridden visit.

It was a nice spot that was easy to get into. The motel was clean and nice. I do wish that they had a soda pop vending machine.

Initial room was not cleaned, new room was old and dingy and needs major updates. Room was tiny for two queen sized beds. If it was relatively cheap would not complain but was overpriced for the condition of the hotel.

Stay away. First off there is no elevator to lug your stuff safetly up with. You get to take the stairs. Then yiure greeted by key cards that dont work on your door. Then you frustratigly go back, get a new key...then get in your room and find it to be an absolute mess. Ive included pictures of the room dirtyness and damage to walls. Beds where just springs. Staff also lives in the rooms on the fiest floor. Pool was not usable as it was blocked off.

The reception intentionally changed my room to a room with a broken window fame that would not close. The toilet did not work right barely flushing.

The room window frame was broken. Being on ground level this was a problem as it is not able to be locked and was literally falling apart. The room furniture was broken and many drawers wouldn’t even open, not that I use these anyways but thought to mention. The towels in the bathroom were dirty and felt damp like they had reused the previous guest towels without washing them. The floors above our bed were very squeaky and the occupant above us walked around all night! Interrupted our sleep. Supposedly there was a free breakfast, well couple pieces of bread for toast and waffles teamed up with a broken waffle iron proved to be the free breakfast. Overall just a grody place. Lack of options in our budget lead us to this place. For 100$/night it was in its own price level as all other were 200$+. O would rather have a clean place to stay with no pool or free anything to make up whatever costs associated to fulfill that level of accommodations. Shoulda taken photos of what this place really looks like rather than the fake pictures posted.

The room was not clean. It felt as if sand was on the floor, the carpets were dirty/stained all throughout the property, the male attendant was not helpful, but the female attendant was okay. The pool area was disgusting.

When we checked in and WV to our room we found food still in the fridge. Took it to front desk and all she could do was blame her housekeepers. Went back to room and found a bunch of garbage on the floors and stains on the wall and carbage can. They repaired a spot on the floor and it was done poorly. I would never stay there again.

Was great for an over nighter, which was all I needed, the only things were the tub drained rather slowly, and I couldn't get the tv to work, room 113
