It smells bad and not good for family to stay.
- 4/5
The employees went above and beyond when my son stayed there. I would highly recommend.
- 4/5
Restaurants closed. Need to update website to let people know it closed
- 5/5
Great for the price. The room was clean.
- 5/5
It’s was good
- 5/5
My stay here was worth it, complementary breakfast was a plus. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and ready upon our arrival so that helped out after a long morning of flying.
- 4/5
Nice to have car park. Easy walk to restaurants
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and organized. Beds were comfortable. Checking in was smooth, free parking, easy access to 405 which easily connects to I-5. Breakfast was good, coffee was good. There were other choices, bagels, cereals, yogurt , muffins, orange juice, fruit.
- 5/5
Staff friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The clerk was able to change rooms to accommodate our needs quickly at no charge. Clean rooms and more modern furniture and fixtures
- 5/5
Yes it’s in a nice busy area, didn’t get much sleep but that’s because I am not used to sleeping outside of my own bed
- 4/5
We would recommend this hotel. So close to OHSU. Not expensive but very comfortable
- 5/5
Arrived late but check in was easy and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was adequate.
- 4/5
The room was clean and servicable. The building could use sme tlc but was fine. We were traveling for an appointment at OHSU. So convenient. Drove past a couple of times so better signage would be helpfull but that seems to be a theme through Portland.
- 3/5
The staff was fantastic, this hotel will cover your needs if you are looking for a place to crash and enjoy the city for a night. Parking was easy.
- 3/5
Staff was the best par
- 5/5
Great place to stay and clean
- 4/5
3 minute uber from most clubs down town. Hotel staff very kinds and helpful with recommendations! Only complaint is parking sometimes runs out to side street parking if the parking lot is full
- 3/5
There was a homeless camp next to the property. We were greeted by the strong smell of marijuana in the hallway on the way to our room. The outside area was dirty. The hallway and rooms were very worn and dated.
- 4/5
Breakfast, not surprisingly, was meager. The only 2 hot options were a toaster for bagels and hot water to pour on instant oatmeal - no microwave available. Traffic noise even at night. You get what you pay for.
- 4/5
Great central location with free parking. Clean, comfortable. Pleasant easy check in. Restaurant/bar downstairs with decent burgers, cold beer, and friendly service.
- 5/5
Solid place with great front desk staff
- 5/5
Staff was amazing , Tony, Nathan, Jason & Jim … took care of every need and very professional and kind… definitely my go to place in Portland
- 3/5
Needed upgrades......old carpeting and curtains.....old stale smell.....would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Comfortable and quiet
- 5/5
Tony and Richard are great. 24/7 karaoke at the bar below the hotel. Clean, great location.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and clean. They also have cctvs for the parking area.
- 5/5
The staff is very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable of area. Room was clean. Nice continental breakfast. Easy access to the medical appointments we were attending. Would definitely recommend!
- 3/5
The staff were supportive and responsive. The building is old, shabby with stained carpet, old worn beds, bedding, and furniture. But location was great for being near downtown, museums, Park blocks. No support bars in bathroom for elders or disabled in first floor room.
- 3/5
It was what I expected the front desk staff made it a better stay
- 5/5
Check in was great. We arrived early after calling for an early check in and our room was ready. Our room was very spacious and clean. The desk staff goes above and beyond. We felt vey safe and comfortable.
- 1/5
Avoid this hotel at all cost. We left at 11:45 pm when we returned from a concert and had no parking. It is not a safe place. Hair in bathroom, stains on bedding. Expedia shouldn't even carry this hotel. Do not stay here, period!!! We drove 2.5 hrs home and lost our $ but our personal and car safety was more important.
- 5/5
easy to get to . many public transportation options. great bar and restaurant near by
- 4/5
Location location location meant a great deal for this trip.
- 4/5
This a no frills hotel. The room was very large, bathroom was very small. Being above the bar and grill meant music thumping until 2am. The pillows were absolutely the worst. We each, the wife and I, had four pillows. The flattest pillows you could ever imagine.
- 4/5
Staff were very friendly with great customer service. The parking fills up quickly as there is not a lot of spaces available. However they do have cameras overseeing the overflow parking area. I felt like the property could use some updating, but was clean and overall comfortable.
- 3/5
It was a good stay. the room seamed clean, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast could have been a little better, but it got the job done.
- 4/5
Very dated but Very clean & quiet. Great place to stay if you have loved ones at OHSU
- 5/5
The property was OK. The only problem is always like a second time I’ve been staying in this hotel is having issues for parking lot for disability. My daughter have a disability and I do have a hard time to park in this section.
- 5/5
Check in was great .. staff was quick even though I arrived quite late. I asked for a specific room which they kindly held for me and merged two separate reservations s so I don’t have to change room whole here .. was awesome
- 3/5
It was what I expected for the price. There were a few holes in my blanket, some slow drainage issues in the bathroom sink and bath tub, but clean other than that. Nice central location! And it’s great that there is free parking but they should really do something about the bar patrons taking all of the hotel parking spots. Even though a parking permit in our dash was required, it didn’t seem to stop bar goers. We had to circle the parking lot all 3 nights until someone would eventually come out and leave.
- 5/5
Economical and clean
- 3/5
Ok for 1 night
- 5/5
I like that it's very close to the VA medical center, which is why I made the trip to Portland.
- 5/5
The desk staff was terrific. They are very welcoming and kindly answered questions about where to walk for shopping and using the bus system. The room was spotless, and, while there is some street noise from traffic, we slept soundly. The continental breakfast is not lush, but that is not as important to us as other aspects of lodging. Will stay there again if in the area.
- 1/5
the only good thing is Friendly reception, other than that No wifi signal in room, bathtub clogged, full of hair, next to mainroad noisy. and small toilet bowl.
- 5/5
Friendly greetings from the staff on each shift.
- 5/5
It was fine. Got the job done. Thanks
- 5/5
The “late” guy who worked until 7am. Encouraged me to use everything I wanted for the amazing breakfast! The coffee was fresh and so was the food. The afternoon gentleman when we were back to the room. He was also very friendly on instructing us on where to leave the key when we left ect.. all with a very warm, welcoming conversation. We will definitely be back if we have to go to Portland for my mother again.
- 5/5
In sum, it was a fair stay when you travel on low budget.
- 4/5
Close to everything, continental breakfast, affordable.
- 5/5
The staff is terrific. Thank you for allowing us to check in early. We were exhausted from being up nearly 24 hours after an emergency with our family member. The kindness youve shown us really mattered. Much gratitude.
- 5/5
A fully adequate low-cost option that is super convenient to OHSU.
- 4/5
This was a convenient easy place to stay for if you have a morning appointment at OHSU and are from out of town. Plan on getting breakfast elsewhere if you have a hearty appetite though. Staff was very kind and friendly. Hotel was surprisingly quiet for all the traffic and location.
- 1/5
Not enough parking. Area is not walkable. Bkf sucked and it's not a nice place, it's like a crummy motel with room doors from the outside.
- 5/5
It was fine. we had a snow days and it was very convenient. Right down the street from my job. Will definitely book again
- 5/5
Lots of traffic around, but excellent location and great staff. Overall a good value and experience.
- 5/5
Very good and convenient.
- 4/5
Centrally located and quiet.
- 4/5
Comfortable bed, 24 hour desk and decent AM coffee in lobby. Refrigerator and microwave. Convenient location to OHSU.
- 4/5
Quiet
- 3/5
Ok for a cheap night
- 2/5
Low level hotel. Old.
- 4/5
The staff was nice. It was clean cozy
- 1/5
The room was stale smelling, bathroom was not clean. Hair in the tub and sink. The beds are atrocious, so uncomfortable, unable to get a good night sleep.
- 4/5
So not bad, but not stellar.
- 5/5
For the price they are usually charging, it’s a great deal. Great location, great employees, surprisingly really quiet inside the rooms with moderately busy roads on all sides. Add Suki’s being downstairs downstairs with food, libations and tons of fun? One of my favorite spots to stay.
- 5/5
Google maps will not get you here efficiently, I felt like I was in a real life game of Mario Cart, finally took a wrong turn and ended up where I needed to be.
- 3/5
I don’t wish to answer
- 3/5
There's no window seal. Motor travelling by is too loud in the middle of the night.
- 3/5
Easy access to hospitals and diwntown. The end room, which we had, you could hear the freeway early in the morning, we did ok but if you are noise sensitive, bring earplugs.
- 3/5
Good for the price, bed was moderately comfortable. My only issue was we were in a room directly over the bar and from 11pm - 2:30am there was loud music and lots of other noise. We had stayed here once before and didn't have that problem.
- 4/5
Small rooms but close to where I needed to be
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Friendly staff and clean room!
- 4/5
Staff was great but overall property was not great
- 3/5
Hotel is perfect for short stays. Close to the City center of Portland.
- 3/5
Stayed here twice as had appts @ Casey Eye Institute so convenient location & dog friendly but property is in need of updating!
- 4/5
It was ok
- 5/5
Charge for parking was excessive and not identified prior to booking.
- 5/5
Great value for the area. dinning and bar downstairs.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly and the electricity worked. The TV was good. The bed was okay as far as comfort goes however, the bathtub did not hold water, so my girlfriend couldn’t take a bath, the water pressure was good and we have plenty of hot wate... But the carpet was very old and would buckle up in areas when we first entered. There was a heavy smell of carpet shampoo.
- 4/5
Suki's the bar under the motel was perfect for ending a long day with a quick bite to eat.
- 3/5
It’s a place to sleep, nothing special. The “restaurant “ is a 21 and over bar, not convenient for a family.
- 1/5
Despite its proximity to where I was getting surgery, I can honestly say I’ll never be back here again. TV is the size of a phone when sitting on the bed, wall AC/Heat didn’t heat up, outlets are in metal conduit on walls instead of inside, all the furniture was damaged one way or another, and it legitimately felt like the toilet was going to fall out from under someone and through our floor to the first floor room. I’m very surprised Best Western allows their name to be on this place.
- 1/5
Very old building and outdated. Front desk guy was pretty short and rude. They take a photo copy of your ID & Credit card (together) & keep it in a little folder on top of the desk within reach of the front door. EXTREMELY UNSECURED. When we questioned this the guy was EXTREMELY rude about it. The room itself was “okay” definitely won’t be returning. The ice machine didn’t work. The vending machine was very dated and limited (didn’t even have water) . Parking was super limited. And was told it was first come first serve. Street parking is not free!
- 4/5
It was clean. Some things were pretty worn. Not the worst place I’ve stayed. Definitely not enough parking. No where to park near the office so people got blocked in while others checked in. Couldn’t just checkout by phone so because of parking I had to lug my bags across one parking lot to the office then back across that and then down the hill to overflow parking.
- 5/5
This trip was an overnight stay to be close to the hospital OHSU for an early appointment next morning. It was perfect for that purpose. Comfortable bed, excellent service and decent coffee and continental breakfast. This is an older motel that has been nicely renovated but it does have that old building smell.
- 3/5
Location: If you are looking for a place to stay that is convenient to OHSU, this is probably your spot - unless you want breakfast. Price: This was a good price for a hotel with a continental breakfast. After experiencing the breakfast, I regretted choosing the hotel because I thought the price was too high. Cleanliness: This was a clean hotel. But don't expect room service to come check on your room for multiple day stays. They don't. Breakfast: They don't serve breakfast until 7:00 am. This is just really odd to me. I don't live in pacific time so 7:00 am is just super inconvenient. The selection was pretty minimal and not worth the extra money for the hotel.
- 2/5
Run down rooms, no usb charging outlet, uncomfortable. The night staff were friendly.
- 3/5
The room was tiny and the price paid for the room wasn't worth it. A motel 6 room would have been better value.
- 5/5
It was a nice clean quiet stay. Staff was very friendly. Great food and drinks right below the hotel. Will stay there again.
- 3/5
The staff was super friendly and welcoming plus they offered a continental breakfast.
- 5/5
The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The beds are really comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this motel.
- 4/5
It was very pleasant
- 4/5
The property itself was fine, the staff were very helpful and professional. However there are alot of homeless people who tend to wander onto the property. The staff does keep a close eye out for that and does a good job chasing them off. Overall i would stay here again in the future.
- 3/5
It's a cheap motel, not fancy but serviceable. About what you would expect for the price. My only real complaint was that it got noisy because I was in a room above the bar that's under the property and the room wasn't noise insulated so I heard the noisy people in the hallway.
- 3/5
we had two beds in our room my daughter -_in-_law . She was getting bitten by something so we had them change the sheets but that didnt help. We told them about it showed them the bites and the said cence we booked though you they could not give us any refund I was their because my son in is OSUHospital. so it wasn't a good stay.
- 4/5
good hotel, works just fine
- 3/5
Typical cheap and old hotel. Obvious water damage in walls that had an odor of mold.
- 1/5
The property was in a terrible location, the room was filthy, smelled of cigarettes, but the staff was very helpful and answered any questions.
- 3/5
Tub would not drain. Had to jiggle the drain to open. Terrible shampoo. Terrible conditioner. Shower curtain dirty like a cloth hanging down. I asked desk clerk when I checked in, it was kind of a not really friendly. And I asked her about it later, and she said well there’s just a lot of strange people like that around here. I said well I’m not one of those people.
- 2/5
Not value for money
- 4/5
Very kind staff each time I was around them. The room wasn’t the cleanest. I found hairs from previous occupant around the bathroom: on the sink counter and next to the rolled up plastic mat on the shelf on top of the toilet. The table in the room did not appear to be wiped down- it had lots of markings on it but the top of the dresser where the TV is appeared wiped down so I felt better putting my items on top of that and less on the table. The windows were not sound proof so I could hear the traffic outside on the street and the lighting in the room was very poor because it was all very bright. The free breakfast offered good, hot coffee but very limited food options with most items individually sealed.
- 5/5
Definitely will be back, really enjoyed our stay. Room and bathroom were very nice. Parking was great.
- 5/5
The restaurant/bar was amazing!!!!!
- 4/5
Rooms were smallish and the carpet looked old. Otherwise, the rooms were clean.
- 5/5
A pretty good budget option. The staff were nice and helpful, rooms and property were clean, everything was maintained. It’s very close to a very busy intersection, so that’s something to be aware of for light sleepers.
- 5/5
Close to the highway and city. Fast and Easy checkin and out.
