Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and convenient location near OHSU and the riverfront. The staff is often praised for being friendly and helpful. However, some guests have complained about the high cost of parking, limited breakfast options, and occasional issues with elevator availability and housekeeping services.

Staff and comfy bed were excellent

I like everything -- and disliked nothing.
- 4/5
I like the size of the room, and the pool I wish the pool would have been open later. And earlier and the breakfast was very minimal
- 4/5
Everything was great, staff helpful & friendly, breakfast was excellent, room was very clean. Great hotel close to OHSU cancer center. It made the OHSU visit much better.
- 5/5
Parking feels secure, not common for Portland, and is attached to the hotel. The street car is a block away and the river front park is about a block away too. Some nearby restaurants. Breakfast is included and decent with a good amount of seating. Only complaints is that pets are allowed which I don't love but our unit didn't have any weird odors or fur flying around so it was okay. Also, the neighborhood feels sketchy when it's dark as it's very empty of people walking around.
- 5/5
Bathroom, one person using it, it gets cold, takes time to recover. It would be nicer if they extended boiler size.

Nice hotel, staff were friendly and helpful for the most part. They had a restaurant on premises and the man who worked there was great. The suite was spacious and clean. Toaster did not work. When I got back home and reviewed my bill, I found charges on my credit card statement from the hotel of which I have no idea why. I am currently trying to contact Marriott about the charges, but have not heard back. Be aware, parking is $42 per day. I was irritated by housekeeping knocking on my door from 10 am on. Check out was supposed to be 12 noon, so why the continual harassment?
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. Everything was awesome!
- 5/5
The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice to start the day before traveling to our next location.. The parking was convenient while staying at the hotel.

Always love staying here great price friendly staff awsome rooms with everything u need
- 5/5
Room was very spacious and clean, staff were nice, the pool is nice but it’s too humid to the point me and my guests couldn’t stay in there longer than 10 minutes, the view in the suite was very pretty, it has good lighting all around and a nice little kitchen that comes with everything you would need to cook a meal, would for sure come back and get this same room, one of the only hotels with a suite that is worth the price!
- 4/5
Nice rooms comfortable beds. Our room had a kitchen that was nice. Didn't like that we had to pay for parking. That was an extra $42 that was un expected. Also they only had tesla chargers for Ev no adapters.

Excellent food, staff and locatin

The room was spotless, it included every amenity we could think of that we needed, and the free breakfast was outstanding.
- 4.5/5
Very cozy room. Felt like home. The location is outstanding. Just walk to the waterfront and a few minutes to shops and restaurants. On Saturday, my family and I walked to the Saturday Market. Only 15 minutes away. The daily hotel parking charge of $42 is a little steep, but I guess it comes with the territory in major cities. The carpeting in the common areas is really showing its age. It would be nice if it were replaced.

The Suite was huge and so nice having two bathrooms for our family of five to get ready in. The front desk staff was very helpful, parking was easy, and the breakfast in the morning was good. We also enjoyed the pool and snacks from their little market. The walk up the parking garage, but it really wasn't that bad. We did discover if you leave from the 2nd floor it could shorten the walk.

Friendly front desk staff! Great location to OHSU, which is where we were going.
- 5/5
The staff was exceedingly friendly and incredibly helpful
- 5/5
We were there only one night and had dinner before we arrived. Not sure what restaurants are in the area. It has a pool and gym but didn't have time to check them out as we left early the next morning. The breakfast was the usual scrambled eggs, sausage, cereals, oatmeal, yogurts, bagels, muffins, waffles, toppings, juice, coffee. etc. very clean and well stocked. large sitting area. Our room was a small studio with a kitchenette, dishes, cups cooking utensils, small stove top and everything for eating in if desired. Microwave, full size refrigerator, and dish washer. Great for solo or couple. TV is set on a cabinet like shelve thing that separates the couch area from the bed area and the TV swivels so you can watch from the couch or bed. (Bring your NETFLIX password if you want to access it). We did not see the larger rooms, but this was great for our needs.
- 4/5
Great parking. Central location.
- 1/5
Horrible staff, not being clear, being told it was free parking to having to pay $39 a night, and being charged randomly for unknown charges while staying, stay far away from here, beds are so uncomfortable you can feel the springs in your back
- 4/5
Clean room, more, better, cooking utensils than I expected.
- 4/5
Front staff was good.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 1/5
The room was beyond disgusting. The bed had bugs in it as well as covered in hair. The toilet paper roll had clumps of hair on it and a used hair tie. The staff took an hour to get fresh linens to the room th fix the bed. The next day the kitchen cabinets were to be found full of hair like someone had shaved their head in and not cleaned.
- 2/5
Wait time too way too long wait time outside and inside
- 4/5
Easy check in and out
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all we would need to prepare meals. The staff was very accommodating. The proximity to the river offered a beautiful view and access to the river walk.
- 3/5
1. Bed sheets - while they had been through the wash, there was still a ton of hair imbedded in the bedding. Specifically the comforter. It may be worth looking into a different method of cleaning the comforters for a way to pick up the hair while in the washer/dyer. While it felt gross we knew they had still gone through a wash cycle. 2. The smell of the room - it was not a bad smell but it smelt so strongly of the person in the room before us. It may be beneficial to open the sliding glass door and air out while cleaning 3. The hair in the shower - there was still a layer of dust and what I can only hope was a beard hair and not a pubic hair on the shower shelving.
- 5/5
met all our needs
- 5/5
Everything was clean. Staff was awesome.
- 5/5
Loved the staff. Friendly and pleasant! Room was nice.
- 1/5
Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The hotel room was dirty and poorly maintained, and the breakfast service was subpar. I would suggest staying elsewhere.
- 3/5
Best place to stay if you’re going to OHSU Waterfront. Have stayed there 3x. Would continue to stay there.
- 4/5
Parking fee is too high!
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 5/5
This place was great. Great location. Super friendly staff. Great pool. Great breakfast.
- 4/5
Solid room
- 4/5
Hotel is in a good, central location. Rooms and clean and spacious. Comfort wise - the couch was terrible. It feels like it’s missing cushions, even though it isn’t. It’s just that uncomfortable! Same with the pillows on the bed. The bed itself was comfy, but the pillows made it impossible for me and my partner get a good nights sleep.
- 4/5
However- Cushions were missing on the sofa in the room There should be more gluten-free options for breakfast. ** Items should be clearly labeled "contains gluten " as well as eggs dairy etc for those of us who have food allergies !!
- 3/5
The hotel was great and the staff lovely but do not stay here if you are driving. Three cars were broken into in our stay including mine and my sisters. In my sisters case the thieves were so sure they wouldn’t be caught they unwrapped all of the things they stole then left them all over the stairwell when they didn’t want them. They only attempted to break my window and left dents behind. When we reported it to hotel staff they really just shrugged, making me think it happens a lot. There is no one watching the garage, nothing keeping random people off the street from coming in on foot and according to staff no cameras anywhere in the garage. Save the extra $500 it will take to fix your windows and don’t stay here if you have a car.
- 3/5
The breakfast had very few options. The menu needs serious revival. It was a total let down
- 1/5
Worst place to stay
- 5/5
Helpful staff
- 5/5
Breakfast was included. Options were good. The rooms are quite spacious, comfortable. Full size fridge in the room was fantastic. Looking forward to staying at Residence Inn's by Marriott in the future.
- 3/5
The television had no instructions.
- 4/5
Absolutely..would love to stay again 💯
- 4/5
The room was great. Comfortable and clean, just what we needed for our family get-together.
- 5/5
Love if they had biscuits and gravy, room clean and spacious
- 5/5
This hotel is nice and clean and have great rooms. We like staying here for appointments at OHSU
- 5/5
clean, proximity to waterfront park, free breakfast with waffles and sausage, very spacious, close to street car, decent sized pool, parking seemed safe for the area and collected to hotel. only negative is the area is a bit sketchy at night.
- 5/5
everything was lovely
- 5/5
The property was pleasant and suited to our needs.
- 5/5

Amenities were fantastic! Rooms were clean and spacious, lots of parking. Great location!
- 2/5

- 5/5
Yes
- 1/5
We did not have hot water for 3 days. Kept being assured it would be fixed and it was fixed enough to be able to shower for 2 minutes before t turned ice cold again. It was a terrible experience
- 5/5
Room was very clean. My daughter loved the bed!
- 5/5
The service was prompt. Not that I expected it to be. But it was nice to know we weren't forgotten after hanging up the phone upon asking for a few extra towels, lotion, and such. Breakfast was what you'd expect of a full included continental breakfast. My only gripe was the $40.00 parking fee. But when you consider all of the pros: Very clean; professionally friendly staff; free breakfast; a pool & useful gym; noon checkout, all for an affordable price... it doesn't get much better. So even with the parking fee. Our experience was 5 star 🌟
- 5/5
We had a full kitchen in our studio room. Very clean and came in handy with the 2 kids. Staff were very friendly as well. My child was doing sleep study and the staff accommodated us by putting our room as close to his as possible.
- 4/5
Breakfast was great in the morning. Only down side is room was not ready by check in at 4 pm
- 5/5
We stayed in the two bedroom two bath suite and it felt like an apartment! Bartender at the bar downstairs was super friendly and seemed quite popular with other guest. The food from the restaurant was pretty mediocre and I wouldn’t eat there again unless that was my only option. The complementary breakfast is a typical hotel breakfast with eggs, meat, cereal, oatmeal, and waffles. Front desk agents and genuinely every staff member I encountered during my stay was very friendly and helpful. Hotel itself is less than a 5 minute walk to the willamette river and far enough from downtown that you don’t have to deal with downtown craziness but close enough that you can use public transportation to get there. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend especially if you’re looking to be in the city, but not wanting to feel like you’re right in the middle of everything.
- 5/5
The property was amazing it's like a little apartment which was really cool. I just wish for the breakfast option there was more than just eggs, waffles, and turkey sausage for hot food like an omelette bar would be cool but hey that's ok. 10 of 10 for hotel
- 5/5
Relatively healthy.
- 5/5
We seriously could just live here. The staff was incredible, from check in, to the bartender working. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were perfect. Super spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. Having a little patio was really great too! The free breakfast was a great addition, and had tons of options for everyone. Would absolutely stay here again!!
- 5/5
I like it was close to the trolley. I did not like they didn't have flavor creamer
- 5/5
Friendly service, comfortable room!
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, easy to find, and in a walkable area right by the water. The free breakfast was great.
- 5/5
I loved staying here. The area was nice and felt safe to walk around. They have a convenient parking garage which made accessibg car easy. Gorgeous vies along river of the infrastructure. Loved the bed and room to relax and rest. The room was as enjoyable as my time in the city.
- 5/5
Good place to stay.
- 3/5
The room was excellent, but the bed was very hard. We stayed here two nights and could not wait to leave due to the stiff beds. The property is local to everything you need. I just wish the beds were a little softer or had more cushion.
- 5/5
Clean attentive staff
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
The room was clean and spacious while the staff was welcoming and very helpful. There was a good variety at breakfast including pastries, eggs, and waffles. Parking was reasonable for a downtown hotel. The only downside was there weren't many convenient restaurants in the area.
- 5/5
Thoroughly delighted. Spacious. Great location. Clean. It’s got it all.
- 4/5
No Parking at the hotel. You need to pay 40$ only really bad problem… 40$ Marriot:(
- 5/5
Great staff and location
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Very helpful staff (we had bicycles that were moved in and out of safe storage each of four days), attractive interior, , decent breakfast, safe riverfront walking/biking path.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with decent breakfast. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. Location is far from the Pier but in a very beautiful area with parks on the waterfront a short walk away. Staff is extremely welcoming and cordial with plenty of smiles.
- 5/5
EXCELLENT
- 4/5
Really clean with friendly staff. Pool area was really loud with machinery echos, but pool was clean and well maintained. Parking was $39 a night and a little tight to get into. Large vehicles might have trouble. Breakfast was only fair so after two days we decided to go out to breakfast.
- 4/5
All the staff was VERY friendly, courteous & responsive. Really appreciate that! Another guest brought their dog & immediately left it alone in their room next door. The poor thing just kept barking. Staff tried to contact them, to no avail. As soon as I requested a different room, she immediately handed me a door key on a non-pet floor. Staff also had maintenance clear the bathroom sink & shower drains upon request. The breakfast offering was mighty impressive - SO many choices & plenty to go around! Great access to OMSI, which was our reason for visiting with our grandson. A dip in the pool & hot tub, nice view of the promenade across the street and a peek-a-boo view of the river, too! Overall, a very pleasant stay!
- 5/5
The Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. The location is perfect, close to important places. Breakfast was great, just what you need to keep on your day.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Great suites woth kitchenettes. Perfect for family.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
This is our second time staying at this location and we really enjoy it. Walking distance to coffee shops and short drives to bars and restaurants. Easy drive to freeways to explore other areas. The hotel staff was incredibly accommodating after Expedia did not book the correct room for us. There are no extra amenities like a pool, and room conditions could use some repairs, but nothing that impeded our stay in any way.
- 5/5
near water front, nicer and safer area of portland downtown
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, with a large suite to accommodate a family with 5 kids very comfortably. We have a view of the river and some city life which was nice to wake up to. The breakfast included was also well displayed and had a good variety. Will return to this place if looking in Portland. Staff was friendly and parking garage at hotel felt very safe to leave car in over night, worth the price. Cheaper than the local parking garages.
- 5/5
Comfortable
- 4/5
Great customer service
- 4/5
Very nice staff
- 5/5
Need to drive for store
- 5/5
The best place to stay in downtown Portland.
- 4/5
Confusing parking, but lovely rooms. Fun indoor pool. Only pub food in house but panini’s were good.
- 5/5
Excellent staff, great accommodations, close to OHSU tram
- 5/5
Everything was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. Very clean. Staff was very supportive and welcoming.
- 4/5
Like the pool and the rooms. Confusing parking.
- 5/5
The two bedroom suite is an absolute dream for traveling with kids. The accessible suite has a washroom with a roll-in shower that perfectly accommodates a crib, so a baby can sleep undisturbed while other guests can use the second washroom.
- 5/5
Great stay, down to the comfortable bed, clean room and great stay.
- 5/5
Not bad for Downtown Portland, actually the best place to be.
- 4/5
It was fine, served the purpose.
- 1/5
Front staff was rude. Told us we did not have a reservation. I got the manager, and she easily found the reservation. We were checking in an around 9 pm and were in a panic because they said we didn’t have a reservation.
- 5/5
Spacious rooms friendly staff convenient location....I would definitely stay here again
- 1/5
Man who worked the front desk was very rude. He did not want to help us check in. He said we did not have a reservation. I had to get the manager involved and she quickly found our reservation.
- 4/5
Only complaint I can say is the garage. The layout is horrible.
- 5/5
Great stay. Bed was super comfortable. Had all the amenities needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.
- 5/5
A spacious and well appointed facility, with attentive staff. The buffet breakfast was excellent. There was only two faults. The couch/hide-a-bed was so deep that it was impossible to sit in it upright, not a good feature for people with back issues. The pillows were too soft for side sleepers, and worse, one of the pair is stuffed with feathers, a bane for allergies.
- 5/5
Very nice I just get pretty irritated that you have to charge for parking when we pay so much to stay there more fruit for breakfast would be nice also
- 5/5
Very clean and modern. Friendly staff. Great room.
- 5/5
Nice clean room. Full kitchen is amazing. Housekeepers great and helpful with additional towels and room necessities. Good breakfast included each morning. Bar restaurant staff was great. Perfect place to staff if you have a family member at OHSU.
- 3/5
I know it’s only 4” but it makes a difference especially when that is what we sleep with at home. Our room (while a great size and was clean) we didn’t know had a rip along the edge of the screen door to the balcony, which let in a ton of flies when we left it open. There were also ants along the slider door moving into the main living space/kitchen. Upon check in, there was no information given to us about the amenities of the hotel (gym, pool, breakfast, main doors locking after a certain hour). Despite how busy and filled the hotel was, you could not hear anyone passing nor through the walls which made sleeping easy. AC worked very well. Kitchen accommodations were as pictured and kitchenware was clean. Fridges were equipped with ice makers, but the front desk was able to provide a bag the first night as we waited for ice to be made. Morning front desk staff and housekeeping were kind, and helpful. Evening staff were not as kind nor welcoming. Parking for this hotel was terribly expensive! $160 and I did not see security nor was there any attendant for the garage so the entry bar was just left up the entire time. Last year we stayed at the Hyatt just across the street and it was a far better experience and better condition of property than what we experienced here and they had proper king size beds.
- 5/5
I especially want to say that Gillian, who checked us in and we also talked to a few times during our stay at the front desk was amazing. She went above and beyond to make our stay feel special.
- 4/5
Property was clean and convenient to my appointment at OHSU. Unfortunately, we learned the property charges $40 per night for parking, so plan to add that to your room fee & taxes to get the true cost (about $250 for a king room).
- 5/5
Comfy / Clean / Good amenities
- 5/5
It is well managed and maintained. The room is very clean and nicely designed. It also has a balcony. The breakfast is good.
- 5/5
Great location on the Portland Waterfront with direct access to mass-transit.
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing from check in to check out, breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly with our fur baby
- 5/5
Great location, would stay again
- 5/5
Nice facilities, not much for nightlife around it (but it was in a quiet area that was easy to walk to the downtown from). We felt safe walking back to our concert and back.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 4/5
Good central location, parks nearby, fwy accessibke
- 5/5
Food awesome. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Thanks
- 5/5
Breakfast is included and had basic offerings. Coffee was good.
- 5/5

- 4/5
No
- 4/5
Room was nice, staff was nice! Pool and workout room were good
- 5/5
Such a friendly staff!
- 5/5
Breakfast was crazy due to big groups in town but hotel staff did a good job making sure everything was full and area was organized . The bar tender was wonderful and gave helpful tips of places around town and transit . There was some confusion on getting the correct change for the laundry mat and the front staff were not well informed on check in with a group rate procedure . The parking was a little tight if you are in a mini van or larger truck . Overall great stay
- 4/5
All said if you are going to OHSU this is a great location and hotel. My biggest complaint is the lack of bellmen. I saw a number of obviously more feeble people struggling with luggage.
- 2/5
I didn’t like that I found what I suspected was dried blood on sheets and pillows in first room, requested to change rooms. Then next day talked to manager, all they offered me was to comp my parking fees. Otherwise stay was Okay. But I recommend checking the bedding in the room.
- 4/5
This was ok for a couple of nights but I’ve stayed in better. After being there a day and seeing the area I would’ve chosen a different hotel. I thought I booked a river view but didn’t get one.
- 4/5
Nice clean stay but nothing really nearby within walking distance.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
They let us leave our luggage before we could check in so we could go to eat. Complimentary breakfast was good , we had eggs, sausage, yogurt, coffee and waffles. We were 4 so two slept on the queen bed and the other 2 people slept on a full size sofa bed. We asked for extra sheets. We stayed two nights. Thanks!
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 5/5
Pleasant experience
- 5/5
Was fine! Nothing within walking distance from hotel (that I saw) so needed to leave the area for entertainment. Hotel itself was great.
- 4/5
one of our rooms has a strong smell of deep frying which cause us to get a room switch.
- 5/5
Stayed her overnight after a friend's birthday party. Great location, close to the freeway so easy to navigate to, but well-insulated so you don't hear any noise. There is a nice riverfront path across the street that is very safe, and lots of nearby bars and restaurants. The continental breakfast is definitely one of the best I've experienced, and that includes living in hotels for three months last year while our home was being remodeled. Parking is $40 a night but that's not unusual for downtown.
- 5/5
Garage was awkward to drive in
- 5/5
This is a great property for a sparkling clean stay with great views of the Willamette River. The hotel is close to the river stroll that extends the length of Portland’s downtown. Even though it is next to freeway exchanges-it is quiet-the area is tucked away from through traffic. Several dining options including a great bar and bartender on property
- 5/5
handy to downtown, Hawthorne bridge, river front
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
Good place
- 5/5
The location is great and the breakfast was plentiful.
- 5/5
Not a great breakfast but everything else was great.
- 5/5
Loved the breakfast. Staff was attentive!
- 5/5
Breakfast was good. Staff was great especially housekeeping thank you for always being there when we called!
- 5/5
We love staying here!
- 5/5
Breakfast has no variety. More fresh fruits at least
- 3/5
False Fire Alarm in the night that no official clwa
- 5/5
Was great.
- 4/5
The hot water took forever! Parking was expensive!
- 4/5
Breackfast was too busy and not very nice
- 5/5
Great Hotel! Parking a little confusing but not bad at all
- 2/5
Room wasn't ready at Check In time. There was food under the couch.
- 4/5
Was an ok hotel. Definitely not up to par on cleanliness. The bedding for the pull out sofa had to be put on which was fine but it had blood on it. And the cupboard for dishes contained some random pill and a used tooth pick plus all the dishes needed to be washed before they could be used. The room was strangely both quiet and noisy. The soundproofing from the freeways and rest of the hotel was very good but the noise levels of the fridge and heating/cooling unit in the room were overly loud and my entire family was woken up at least once every hour because either the fridge or heating/cooling unit was kicking in. The room only provided 3 towels for 4 people. The pool never once had towels ready to go without having to request them to be brought up which meant dragging the kids down a floor to the lobby and then back up to the pool. $39 usd for parking that was not fully secured was a total rip off.
- 5/5
Very nice staff
- 5/5
Great place to stay with your family.
- 4/5
What we don’t like is the new couch. It couldn’t be more uncomfortable! Also, those are the worst pillows on the bed. Couldn’t you offer one soft and one firm on each side? Again! Super uncomfortable. Worst night’s sleep.

We loved this hotel. It’s right on the Riverwalk and so we grabbed Lime Scooters and rode all around the park and explored. passed a lot of dinner locations, stopped at Tide King and had an incredible dinner. Came back to the hotel where they have a little store with snacks, ice cream etc. Brought those to our room. Our room had a full kitchenette too! There is no ice on this floor, and if you cannot sleep in quiet bring a fan because the AC fan isn’t loud at all. Great property. we would stay again.

Only recommendation, bring your own pillow. Theirs are way too soft. Other than that stay was great.
