Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its proximity to the airport and friendly staff, particularly Tina at the front desk. However, guests frequently express dissatisfaction with the lack of an elevator, hidden parking fees, and the absence of a continental breakfast. Some guests also report issues with cleanliness and maintenance.

Stay was great, need to work on free parking.

Staff was friendly and professional. Especially the front desk check in and check out. I would definitely stay there again.

Clean but aged hotel is convenient to the airport. Staff is pleasant and the shuttle was on time.

Súper cool
- 4/5
It’s close to the airport , so eep in mind that you’re going to hear planes. Staff were very friendly and my room was clean. it’s just an older hotel. For the price, it’s worth it
- 4/5
Hotel is fine. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. No breakfast and parking is extra with validation requirement before leaving the property.
- 4/5
A bit run down but clean. Very close to airport. Staff was helpful.
- 3/5
Make arrangements for parking before you arrive if you do park and fly
- 4/5
Acceptable place to spend the night before an early flight. They made shuttle arrangements but dropped the ball on my wake up call.

They give me a small room bad customer service.... N/A

Passable
- 1/5
Very old and run down. Our room had a very strong smell that gave us both headaches. Issues with booking car parking as well since we booked with Expedia for some reason. Shuttle was great, on time and clean and smell free.
- 2/5
The hotel room was in poor condition. The desk chair should have been thrown away months ago as most of the plastic had worn away. I had to struggle to get the shower control to work properly. The mini-refrigerator temperature control was not working properly as all of my food froze, even on the lowest setting. The staff told me they didn't have any other chairs to replace mine with.

Great front desk staff Very basic
- 4/5
Price well and Conveniently close to the airport. Shuttle available. Refrigerator and microwave in rooms as well.
- 3/5
No elevator for the second floor
- 4/5
Had an overnight stay and had to run to the front office 3 times to get my key to work again for my door and had witnessed others doing the same.
- 5/5
Always great to stay here and use their airport shuttle.

- 4/5
Staff was super helpful; I arrived hours before check-in, and they let me store my baggage at the front desk. Room was clean and A/C was great, there were a couple of spots in the bathroom that seemed a little run down, but just normal wear and tear.
- 5/5
It was fine for overnight stay before very early flight the next morning. Shuttle runs every 20 minutes 24 hours, which was very helpful, as I took the 3:40 AM to the airport
- 4/5
I arrived after 10 p.m. and went straight to bed. The shuttle from the airport came quickly when I called the hotel, and the ride back was also quick and uncomplicated the next morning.
- 3/5
Easy to get to, parking was validated and good wifi for working. The rooms are worn down and the door handles are a lift up which is strange but it worked for a few nights. It was close to a good Sushi restaurant and was quiet.
- 3.5/5
Bathrooms need upgraded. Kind of junky.
- 3.5/5
Nice staff, close to airport Bathrooms need upgraded. Kind of junky.
- 4/5
The room was clean. Website says there is a restaurant. There was none. That needs to be updated.
- 5/5
Stayed for a night on a road trip from wa to ca. clean, comfortable and the tv and shower worked. I personally couldnt ask for much more.
- 5/5
Ok
- 4/5
Easy parking, located close to the airport, good air conditioning. Good property for the price.

Great room
- 4/5
I liked that the hotel was of old construction and wasn't made of particle board like the new ones. I couldn't hear anyone walking in the room above me, doors slamming or what the people in the next room were watching on TV. Being so close to the airport and being far enough off the road I couldn't hear any noise and slept great ! The room was thoroughly cleaned and no complaints in that department. When I booked the room it said on site parking so I was surprised to find a metered parking drop gate that you had to get your ticket and have it validated at the front desk. I only left the property once but you had to do this as you came and went. I left at a different exit that I entered onto a one way and had to go miles to get turned around. It was 10$ to park for the night and I might of just missed this little detail when I booked. The parking lot felt secure and the whole area around the hotel was pretty quiet and not the normal criminal activity you might find in Portland. The linens were my only gripe about the room. They were worn out long ago. Threadbare with holes in my sheets and towels. A pretty insignificant thing to skimp on but kept me from giving an excellent review.
- 3/5
Proximity to the airport Staff didn’t really care whether you stayed there or not.

Proximity to the airport Staff didn’t really care whether you stayed there or not.

The room and stay were great. Employees were super nice! The only thing I didn't like was the fridge in my room kept freezing everything no mater what setting it was on.
- 3/5
The stub didn’t drain

Close to the airport and restaurants area. There was nothing that I didn't like
- 4/5
There was nothing that I didn't like
- 2/5
The room had a terrible musty smell. The bathroom needs updating. The bed was like sleeping on a piece of plywood. This was out 3rd time staying here and will be our last.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly. There's no lift to second floor so if you have bags or trouble carrying them up stairs then I don't recommend. Room was very poor condition, although clean. The door handles seemed to be put upside down so we had difficulty accessing entry. The bolt lock was coming off wall, cracked mirror frames, particle board exposed with nails on furniture, wet spots on carpet ( guess they just were cleaned?), just over all run down. Shuttle was easy, although we are disputing an overnight parking charge and we didn't have a car but have been told it will be reversed. Overall it's $100 for a clean place to stay, although the condition of the room gave initial doubts but for me friendly staff and clean is more priority. Can't say I wouldn't stay again but I now know what to expect from room.
- 2/5
The property is not kept up and could be much cleaner. To open the room door there was a "trick" that the staff had to show me. The door was not aligned properly so to open it you have to pull on the door and then push it up. Also the shower nozzle was loose it was difficult to turn on the water and I was not able to turn it back off. Very disappointed. Will not stay here again
- 1/5
Watch out for added charges like parking
- 4/5
Parking was easy only thing is when leaving the parking lot you cannot go back the same way as in even though the map says you can. Staff was very friendly and the stay was quiet.
- 3/5
I wouldn’t say it’s the worst place I’ve ever stayed. It’s serviceable if you need a roof over your head and a shower. But I would spend the extra 20 bucks a night get yourself breakfast and an updated room.
- 3/5
It's was fine. Quiet enough. Nothing to really say about it. An inexpensive place to sleep before an early morning flight.
- 3/5
The shower leaked under the wall and left a puddle of water next to the bed. The lady at the desk was on a personal call with we arrived and appeared to be annoyed that we were there to check in.
- 2/5
There are several airport hotels in same complex. Stay elsewhere
- 4/5
This hotel is fine to stay the night at before an early flight and is convenient to the park and fly place next door. This is a very basic hotel but was clean and comfortable; very close to the airport. I felt like my car was safe there.
- 5/5
I travel in and out of PDX about 10 times a year. Red Lion PDX is the best hotel for price, for EZ 24hr shuttle service, for great staff, and a nice collection of convenient microwave frozen breakfast and dinner options, and, the coffee in the lobby is ready at 4 AM every morning. Perfect for early shuttle/flights.
- 4/5
Was good. You do have to pay $10 for parking but was convenient next to the airport
- 3/5
Cleaning staff was up and at it early. I was hoping to sleep in a bit but they were making a lot of noise and I couldn’t get back to sleep. As I was leaving a cleaning staff member asked me you leaving now, to get into the room. Not how was your stay. I chose this particular hotel because I had a medical emergency on a flight into Portland and had to go to the ER after I landed. I got in late and was hoping to rest and check out was advertised as noon instead of 11. I needed some extra sleep before I could make a two and a half hour drive home. But the slamming of doors and giggling and talking by cleaning staff made that impossible. I expected some noises early in the Am and had ear plugs. But there didn’t seem to be consideration for guests who actually checked out late.
- 5/5
Yes parking was secure and A/C was comfortable
- 3/5
Physical condition of hotel needs work. Our key cards needed to be reset 4-5 different times because they randomly got demagnetized. Door to our room was physically difficult to open. Outdoor access door was supposed to be a card key entry, but they did not actually lock. Anyone could open the door from the outside. Front door staff were not attentive, carried on side conversations while checking us in and did not effectively address our key card concerns.
- 4/5
A good place to stay before a flight.
- 3/5
Really missed having some kind of breakfast room.
- 3/5
Place to stay if you need a room close to the airport. Air port shuttle service was a big plus
- 3/5
The building does not have an elevator and I was on the 2nd floor; the cart was unavailable when I had to change rooms due to a broken toilet. There was no maintenance on site the second time the toilet broke. The key entry to both rooms was a huge challenge. It took multiple times of trying to get the "key" to work, which was very frustrating.
- 2/5
The room had a strange smell to it, all of the furniture was old and beat up, and there were tears and holes in the curtains. Also lots of random stains on the floor. The sheets were clean, but very rough. I bought a pre-packaged muffin from the lobby that was covered in mold when I opened it.
- 5/5
Good area
- 4/5
Very old hotel, but the room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also nice, and had been remodeled. Only two floors but no elevator. Staff was helpful.
- 1/5
Did not stay due to parking fees
- 4/5
Very clean with a friendly staff. Coffee was good, airport shuttle was on time, plenty of parking and super easy property to navigate with pets. It’s an older building and not well insulated - still a terrific value and super convenient.
- 5/5
Conveniently located. Called hotel, and had shuttle take me back and forth between hotel and airport.
- 3/5
The hotel was just okay. It is an older hotel that has lacked ongoing updates, but it was the most affordable hotel in the area.
- 4/5
good place
- 5/5
Close to the airport. Great price for convenience
- 5/5
The ac was really loud but overall happy with my stay
- 2/5
The staff was friendly but the room was run down and the sheets felt like sand paper and the window curtain was hanging so that you couldn't close it completely.
- 3/5
I wouldn’t recommend.
- 3/5
The room was clean. Unfortunately I did not see there were no elevators and when I checked in and said that was an issue due to mobility I was not offered a room on the lower level.
- 3/5
Property was old, but also partially remodeled. Chair and headboard had scratches in it, as if a cat had stayed there. It was fine and fairly affordable for staying the night and heading to the airport.
- 1/5
What a joke stay at another hotel not in this parking area, stay away
- 5/5
Once I get to PDX from the east coast it’s always late evening and has been a long day and is three more hours to my destination. I need to break up the trip with an overnight at PDX, both coming and going. Red Lion has been my go-to for these twice annual trips for a decade.. Accommodations are very clean and comfortable, in-room amenities are adequate and staff are consistently welcoming and accommodating. I travel with my dog and area feels very safe to walk around with her. Appreciate the 24 hour shuttle service to/from PDX. Very much recommend.
- 5/5
Great for an overnight to catch early flight.
- 5/5
We stayed one night for the close proximity to the airport. There isn’t an elevator but the guy that checked us in offered to help with our bags if we needed it! They have a shuttle which is also a bonus! Room was clean. Would definitely stay again!
- 3/5
My only concern was the fact that guests have to pay for parking in the hotel premises. I find that very weird.
- 1/5
Horrible experience, hotel staff let protesters in the parking lot and did nothing to accomaodate relocation or partial refund.
- 3/5
Room was clean upon check-in but no room service in 4 nites. I found a maintenance lady to take trash and wet towels. It’s dated and has old furniture but clean and feels safe. One ice maker and business center out of order. The bed was comfy with good pillow variety.
- 4/5
It is a good hotel to use while traveling. It has a free airport shuttle, is clean and staff is friendly.
- 4/5
It was $10 a night to park and there was free shuttle service to the airport. Much better than parking at the airport.
- 4/5
Beds were really comfortable everything was clean... but staff needs to work on communication we asked about the parking cause there's a gate and the guy said he didn't know about the parking so we paid $20 extra to get out of the building after already paying $40 for 2 nights.. and the maids messed up our room number took all of our belongings to the front desk cause they thought we was only staying one night but mistakes happen I would definitely stay here again if it wasn't $20 a night to park there
- 3/5
Shuttle was on time to the airport.
- 1/5
Staff was nice, but building was very old and smelled like smoke even though signs everywhere saying no smoking, didn’t have an elevator had to carry full suitcases up stairs. You would think they would have an elevator being so near the airport. That I’m sure a high amount of people are traveling being so close to airport.
- 4/5
Parking was easy, and quickly validated as parking was in a closed lot
- 5/5
Clean room parking
- 3/5
It’s a confusing to you and get to the place. It looks like the entrance is to a different hotel and they have a parking meter for paid parking there and you really don’t wanna go in there because you think it’s the wrong hotel but it’s actually connected. They share parking ticketing meter. in my room, the heater didn’t work and the shower was only going to have pressure due to the Spicket, not blocking off all the water to the showerhead. I had to pay for parking twice when I left to go get dinner after I checked in only 10 minutes later, it charged me three dollars in the morning when I checked out I complained about having to pay the three bucks and the staff said it shouldn’t happen so I got validation again and I was checking out to leave to the airport I got charged $10. This is unacceptable for this location. I would not stay there again. And you really can’t go into complain because people are behind you in the spot of the line through either you pay it or try to get the four people behind you to back out. I think they know about this and I’m not properly validating peoples parking tickets for staying there. I mean it I had to pay twice within 24 hours of staying there. I’m sure other people are having to pay too. there is also mold in the bathrooms, venting system they plainly see.
- 5/5
Close by airport and Cascade station
- 5/5
Really enjoyed staying here thank you!
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
Friendly staff, plenty of parking near entrances and cool air in room. Wish the pillows were fluffier and the walls were a little better at isolating noise but for the price it worked great.
- 3/5
I chose this hotel as a single night stay leading to a very early morning flight for its proximity to the airport and reasonable rate compared to other hotels I have utilized in the past. I’ll spend the extra money in the future.
- 5/5
Nicely maintained
- 1/5
Beat up property. We had two queen beds and one of them was stained with blood or some sort of interesting stain. We were in a non-smoking wing, yet there was a smell of weed the entire time for some rooms. Not ideal with my two year old with us.
- 1/5
Worst, period
- 3/5
It’s worn, the room was clean though. The beds were very uncomfortable and where our room was located it was loud. Nobody really slept well and we probably wouldn’t stay again. We just stayed because we had an early flight out. The front desk guy was super friendly and the location to the airport was excellent.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
- 4/5
Good place to stay if your catching a flight early
- 5/5
No
- 1/5
Terrible TV didn't work. Room had ants and when I complained they said “yes our building has ants. I think it's built on an Ant hill.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable room and conveniently close to airport.
- 1/5
Was not up to expectations and expectations were not high for the price and location
- 5/5
Todo muy bien
- 5/5
The towel that I used still had another person’s hair. Room was clean, but the furnitures looked old. GREAT GREAT WONDERFUL front desk staff. The checkout was so easy. She told us we can just leave any time before 12 and leave the keys inside the room. Dog friendly-need to pay $15. $10 for overnight parking.
- 4/5
Good value with an older hotel. Good shuttle service
- 4/5
On a good note the bed was comfortable and room was pretty clean.
- 3/5
No breakfast
- 4/5
Clean room, nice staff.
- 3/5
No clean beds spread
- 3/5
Charged extra $10 a day to park in the parking lot... key card was finicky at best took multiple swipes to get into room and was rather frustrating.
- 2/5
Budget hotel. Run down and needs repairs. Staff was minimally helpful and had an attitude.
- 1/5
Shower didn't work properly, no matter how you pulled on the change knob, just a trickle
- 1/5
Non working toilet
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and helpful. 24/7 airport shuttle was appreciated. Room was clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
The front desk staff was the best thing about this hotel. O was gone from my room from 8:00am until 6:30 Pm and my room wasn’t cleaned when I returned. It is in great need of a makeover.
- 5/5
Great free shuttle service to a from airport. No coffee maker in room???
- 5/5
It was good
- 3/5
Beds and pillows not good. Property just basically got fresh paint but needed a much deeper rebuild.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and convenient airport shuttle
- 5/5
Ok
- 4/5
Always a great place to stay in close proximity to PDX.
- 2/5
Great basic room for the price.
- 3/5
First and foremost, the staff are incredibly helpful, and housekeeping does their best to keep the rooms tidy. Unfortunately, the building itself is run down, the carpets are thread bare, and the furniture has seen better days. In spite of no smoking signs on door, there's a pervading smell of stale cigarettes and marijuana smoke. Each room has an air conditioning/heating unit that cannot be turned off, and runs continuously unless you unplug it. Good water pressure, but no elevators to the second gloor. To be fair, the parking lot is gate controlled, and it is very close to the airport. Most guests seem to be passenger in transit.
- 5/5
Yes — great WiFi, comfortable rooms.
- 5/5
Red Lion PDX is my go-to hotel/parking/shuttle when flying in and out of PDX. Always clean, always helpful staff, 4 AM coffee in the lobby and shuttles that are 24/7 — everything I need — and reasonable prices too!!
- 2/5
Went to fill the ice bucket, came back and ants were crawling over my still packaged dinner, maintenance appeared to be done by drunk 6 year olds. You get what you pay for, and this place is cheap.
- 5/5
Clean room. Very friendly staff
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, and coverages.

- 3/5
There is a $10 over night parking fee, I also got charged $3 for my parking time when I left to get dinner. If I knew that, I would have chosen another place that was $20 more and just down the street, it is twice the size, it has a living room. I turned on the air conditioner for heat, it is a bit louder than I've heard before from a hotel room. The bathroom is a bit small. Everything else is ok. The mattress is actually nice.
- 3/5
The room was in livable conditions, the bed was a little on the firm side, I prefer mine to be medium firm, but it wasn't terrible. I didn't see where the parking was $10+ dollars, I probably would have picked one of the other hotels that was $10-$15 more that didn't have parking fees. the bathroom was clean, but a little on the smaller side. The tv seemed a bit dated for size and style, but the hotel was booked for primarily and not a 4k viewing bonanza. The chair for the desk in the room was made from faux leather and about 15% of the faux leather had already peeled off.
- 4/5
Shuttle service excellent
- 4/5
Clean rooms always
- 4/5
Very comfortable bed, nice bathtub, quiet floor mounted heating and air-conditioning.
- 5/5
Yes, everything was perfect.
- 1/5
Good times
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the temperature was set perfectly. I had a long day of travel. I arrived in the middle of the night. The shuttle driver and the wonderful lady at the desk made my arrival and process seamless. I was able to get to sleep very soon after I arrived. In the morning the coffee was ready and waiting for my extremely early departure and I was taken right to the airport to get to my early flight.
- 5/5
Great staff and accommodating for close to airport convenience.

- 3/5
The parking situation is tricky. No breakfast, advertisement eludes to a breakfast but its a concession stand that is overpriced. Will not stay there again.
- 3/5
Receptionist was very friendly and overly hospitable. She went above and beyond her duties to make sure our booking went as expected. She bent a policy to ensure we got our reserved room and were able to stay being respectful and flexible in regards to our financial limits.
- 5/5
Room as clean and front desk friendly
- 2/5
The room was clean, worn down but that’s to be expected, I suppose. What was frustrating about my stay was being charged per night for parking a vehicle and there was a $40.00 charge in addition to the room that I was told was a hold that would be refunded 3 days after I checked out. None of that was mentioned when I booked. I imagine they would still receive business if they were upfront about their costs at the time of booking due to their location being next to the airport.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was friendly and very accommodating.
- 5/5
Staff was professional and kind, room was clean.
- 5/5
Thank you for a Very Comfortable Stay.
- 4/5
JAVE STAY THE PAST 3 YEARS AT THIS PARTICULAR HOTEL AND SAME ROOMS GET NEW BEDS THAT ARE QUIET PKEASE!!!!!!!!
- 1/5
The cable didn’t work, it got stuck on 1 channel. Called front desk who said they couldn’t help because the maintenance guy was gone for the day. Everything is old and run down.
- 5/5
Red Lion has been and continues to be my go to hotel every time I travel to/from Oregon which is several times each year. I stay one night upon arrival and one night upon departure. Its proximity to the airport is excellent and shuttle service is provided 24/7. Room is always very clean and well equipped with amenities…microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, large TV with a numerous selection of channels to watch. Beds are extremely comfortable. Check-in is efficient and pleasant. Staff members are polite and friendly. There is not a restaurant on the premises however if one doesn’t wish to go out, there is a small shop next to the reception desk which contains numerous beverages, snacks, frozen dinners, instant soups, etc. for sale. I always travel with my dog and she is well treated and accommodated. I feel safe in the area while our walking her. I absolutely recommend.
- 5/5
Yes very clean

The manager was very helpful. The cleaning staff was very friendly. Room was very clean.
- 2/5
Staff was great. Room was clean and nice. Shower and phone were not working. Won't stay here again
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff. Very conveniently located
- 1/5
We arrived here and went straight to front desk. The guy did not even greet us. He asked for my ID and bank card, charged us without even explaining what are those charges and gave us our pass card. He handed it to us without even mentioning the room. We waited for him to at least show us which way to go but nothing so I needed to ask which way to. When we got to the room, it was so stinky. The room alarm clock went off at 6am and it was so loud outside throughout our stay. When we checked out, we stopped by the front desk and same attitude. No greetings, not a word, I asked if our parking ticket is validated and she was like rude and just said if there’s 2 bar codes meaning it’s validated already. How would I know those things? Anyway, both front desk at night and morning seems like need more training on how to welcome guests. Very awful experience.
- 5/5
The person at the front desk was courteous and professional and made the check-in a pleasant experience.
- 4/5
Front desk was very helpful! They validated the overnight parking, so free! Close to the airport and clean.
- 5/5
The room was great! I will be staying there in the future
- 5/5
Clean rooms and helpful staff. Major issue is no USB connections in room or lobby. None.
- 3/5
Kind staff and helpful. Property is dated with old cigarette smell in common areas but room smelled fine. No artwork on walls. Needs paint job and general improved upkeep.
- 5/5
Very clean and very quiet. Staff were alright but the housekeeping now them ladies freaking rock with cleanliness.
- 2/5
No breakfast, must pay for parking separately. Room flooded male staff member didn't offer to switch rooms until I demanded it. He was very unfriendly.
- 5/5
Very nice stay
- 4/5
The room/building was in need of some repairs, and we did find a plastic cover from a disposable razor on the floor. Not a big deal. But I have to say, we got a GREAT deal on the room! The beds were the MOST COMFORTABLE hotel beds I’ve ever slept on. It was more comfortable than my bed at home, and that’s saying something since you always look forward to being home in your own bed. The shower head was not one of those cheap ones that spray the water out like you’re being sprayed with a high pressure hose. It was wonderful, and the water was nice and hot. I would stay there again.
- 3/5
The front desk receptionist was really nice but this place has no elevator?!? I cant drag a 48 lb bag upstairs. I had no idea.
- 1/5
I booked the room for a park and fly option. They said I did the wrong website and did not have a parking space. I cancelled the room and went somewhere else and got a room and parking space for less money.
- 5/5
Front desk and shuttle staff were amazing, this was the most affordable stay I found near the airport.
- 5/5
Rooms were bery nice and clean. Friendly staff. Very comfortable beds. Hot hot water a plus. Would reserve agini!!
- 3/5
Fine for a cheap motel, staff was irritated and did not want to accommodate minor requests
- 5/5
Wasn’t a breakfast hotel
- 3/5
Bathroom door would not close partially, either shut tight or open 12". Bathroom itself worked fine. refrig and microwave were fine.
- 4/5
Close to airport
- 5/5
This was a very clean room
- 3/5
The staff was helpfull, the room clean, however.... the tub is missing a lot of enamel, and the office chair should be replaced as it is very tattered. It you would not have it in your home it you should not have it in a hotel.
- 4/5
courteous staff and clean room.
- 5/5
Room was OK and suited our short term need for a hotel near the airport with shuttle. We have used the shuttle service twice in 2 months and the service is on time and very eficient
- 5/5
I could not get in with out using the chair .way too
- 1/5
Unsatisfied
- 3/5
It was close to the airport and the shuttle bus was available at 3:30 am.
- 2/5
Nasty bathrooms water leaking
- 3/5
There was no breakfast. The room could use some upgrades. But all the staff were extremely nice.
- 4/5
No breakfast offered
- 1/5
During the night, I couldn’t sleep because the noise from upstairs all night.
- 4/5
Long day and arrived at 1am. Front desk agent was one of the best in all my travels. At 1am she was friendly, welcoming and had snacks available for this weary traveler. She is the reason I would stay again.
- 3/5
The staff was amazing. The building was old as well as the room, it was clean though. The cable barely worked, it kept glitching. The hall also smelled bad.
- 3/5
Parking. They said reserve then book parking upon arrival but that's only if you reserve directly through them.
- 3/5
Clean room. No elevator. Shuttle not well marked. Older worn building. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
The rooms and bathrooms are a bit tired, could use some updates, but price is good and would reflect upgrades if fine… so for the money it’s all good. Shuttle service was great for an early morning flight. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Check in was fast! Room was clean and surprised me with fridge, microwave, small coffee maker and desk. Bathroom surprisingly large in room with queen bed. Shuttle to airport was on time and fine. Parking was easy with ticket validated at check in or check out with large lot with good lighting. Pet charge only $15. Room price was a bargin.
- 5/5
Clean eazy checking in close by everything and airport
- 5/5
Nice and convenient
- 4/5
All of the above
- 4/5
Room was spotless, coffee maker was a nice touch. Bedding and pillows were very nice, bathroom amenities were an extra touch.
- 5/5
Thank you
- 2/5
Just very run down and loud.
- 3/5
All was good except the shower had very low water pressure… was little more than a trickle. While the sink had plenty of pressure.

They advertised a price and I paid it online, But when I arrived they forced me to pay a 10 dollar parking fee per night. Hidden rip off. Too noisy due to airplanes and the heater barely worked but was noisy as all hell all night.
- 5/5
Front desk staff at check-in and check out were terrific in every way.
- 1/5
The clerk charged me 40$ cash did not give me receipt and didn't return upon check out i am sure it is on camera 5pm oh thanks
- 5/5
Shuttle! Shuttle! Shuttle! The only reason to stay at an airport hotel is for quick and easy access to flight. This hotel is the best! Lots of assistance in getting our rental car returned and providing shuttle back to hotel from car rental. Early morning shuttle on time and knowledgeable about terminals. Room clean and adequate.
- 4/5
For a personal rime getaway, it served its purpose.
- 5/5
We only stayed at this hotel for 7 hours and took the shuttle to the airport early in the morning, The front desk person was friendly and took our request for early morning shuttle to airport. The shuttle service was great and prompt.
- 5/5
Quiet. Close to airport. Shuttle nice
- 4/5
Stayed before. We couldn't take it moved motels.. Outside room was noisy as well.
- 1/5
The room was awful dark dingy in the bathtub you could stick your fingers through the holes where it has rusted through The guy who checked us in was not friendly at all and wore a Drucula Cape it was very not welcoming we turned around and said we would not be staying there the room was gross and the guy was rude
- 5/5
Clean quit
- 5/5
Good overnight before flying out
- 4/5
The moaning from my neighbor at 4am was impressive. Will certainly book again.
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
Decent room. Parking situation is weird.
- 1/5
The hotel was perfect. Check in was perfect. Check out was easy but the shuttle driver was kind of rude and drove like a crazy man. Not a safe driver. Drove on the bumper of other cars. Not cool. He easily could have caused an accident. He is the reason for 1 star.
- 5/5
Fine
- 4/5
Yes the room was cleaned.
- 5/5
Very clean room, comfortable mattress and fast shuttle service from and to the airport! Staff was very friendly and had a fast check-in and check-out.
- 3/5
A solid satisfactory airport hotel stay at a value price
- 5/5
Great location near the airport. Very clean room. Very glad I chose this instead of the Holiday Inn nearby. That was about $194 for one night - Red Lion Inn was only like $115. That's after an Expedia discount I had, but that discount was only like $25. $140 vs $194 for the same experience, I'll take $140 every time.
- 5/5
Clean and neatness of room
- 5/5
Clean room, accommodating staff, comfy bed
- 3/5
The room was good the staff was good. I just did t like having to pay $10 a night for parking
- 5/5
Overslept and front desk kept me from missing my shuttle!!
- 3/5
Staff was courteous. Room was clean, but located next to noisy linen laundry, and across from storage room which had no attempt made to close doors. Very un appealing. Room was nor ready on time. Shower water flow very weak. Maintenance on room needs attention to detail.
- 3/5
The room was fine but there was someone running around beside us that woke us up during the night.
- 2/5
I have stayed at a few Red Lion hotels and this one was by far the worst. Nighttime staff was ok. Morning staff not so great. Room was not ideal. Strange substance on the curtains, smelled like smoke, very uninviting shower. In the flight path so very very loud in the morning.
- 4/5
The only issue was that there was no food or beverages available in the food mart area.
- 3/5
The refrigerator kept making noise all night. Tv remote was difficult. Room felt clean. Staff was kind.
- 5/5
Super stay
- 5/5
Very convenient location.
- 3/5
The hotel atmosphere felt like a Motel 6. Staff were courteous but there are no amenities, nothing to create some kind of ambiance.
- 5/5
There was no breakfast but loved staying there price was great and hotel was very clean and supercomfy
- 3/5
Sad
- 1/5
This has nothing to deal with the breakfast they put us in a room that had cat's and i'm allergic there was also mold in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Shuttle eady. They stopped offering breakfast
- 2/5
No parking
- 4/5
Room nice and clean. Quiet. Nice place.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, large clean room, very close to airport
- 5/5
Very accommodating staff as well as professional and friendly. We arrived mid morning and we’re provided an upgrade and unavailable room to check in early. The shuttle drivers took us to the light rail station and picked us up. Very easy. Room was comfortable and clean.
- 5/5
we left too early for the breakfast.
- 5/5
Quick check in
- 5/5
Simple check in process. Clear instructions from staff.
- 4/5
The receptionist had her puppies with her. No problem there. After a long travel day though I don’t care about them, issues, how tired she is. I just want my room key and bed.
- 2/5
Elevator was broke. Bathroom door was so narrow I had to turn sideways to go in. Bed was not bad. Shuttle service to the airport was the best part of the stay.
- 1/5
To begin, the staff was very helpful and friendly. However the room had broken furniture, the curtain was stained, the bathtub was also stained and carpets dirty. We smelled cigarette smoke in the room. Never again.
- 5/5
Staff was awesome I forget her name but wonderful african american woman with a name starting with T helped us out especially with my sick wife and baby. It was memorable and we're so thankful.
- 5/5
The staff have been very accommodating
- 1/5
staff was rude
- 5/5
All the staff from check-in to the shuttle driver were very friendly. I would stay at this hotel again when I have the need.
- 4/5
The Room is Clean
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Amber was very helpful, polite and friendly checking us in. The location is very convenient to the airport and very reasonably priced. Parking is well lit and I felt safe leaving my car there.
- 3/5
It was ok for the money
- 4/5
Convenient hotel before an early flight. Shuttle on time in the morning. No food so we Uberate.
- 3/5
The room was good, but the gal at
- 5/5

- 5/5
I liked it and wish to retur
- 5/5
Nice close to airport
- 3/5
For the price it was alright.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and courteous, and then it was nice and clean.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Good stay
- 4/5
Airport shuttle was great.
- 3/5
the hotel appears to be in a constant state of repair. There were laundry carts in the hallway between A and B buildings, one might consider a fire hazard and blockage.
- 3/5
Noisy, but not from the airport. The party at the front desk went on until the wee hours, with lots of loud talking and music. You ask them to quiet down, and they blow you off. Stay somewhere else.
- 2/5
When we checked in the front desk person looked bothered to help.
- 1/5
The check in-girl (long black hair) was horribly rude. There's no elevator.. only stairs, which is very hard with a suitcase. The only reason why I chose this hotel is because it said it had an airport shuttle but apparently I can't leave my car here so what is good is the shuttle? Zero stars
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
NA
- 2/5
Bed was uncomfortable and there was no elevator had to carry three suitcase up the stairs room also was super hot despit having ac on
- 3/5
Staff said we dont have it
- 5/5
Good stay
- 5/5
I really liked how convenient it was and the airport shuttle, the people were super nice
- 4/5
Clean hotel with friendly staff. Very close to the airport which is good for travel but the planes were very loud however that could be remedied by using a fan noise app.
- 5/5
The room was clean and inexpensive. Front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. We will stay here again if we are in the area
- 5/5
I like the lady work on front deck last night she very nice and good service friendly thanks to her
- 3/5
Staff was complaint about wanting their break. Could not find the elevator. Entrance to facility was difficult to identify.
- 5/5
Convenient and comfortable. And free validated parking.
- 5/5
Friendly front desk at check in and out
- 5/5
Personnel very friendly, shuttle was excellent
- 4/5
Close to airport
- 3/5
The shuttle was prompt and the drivers were friendly. The room we stayed in was clean but the door was open a bit when we got to the room. We realized that the door just didn’t close unless you pulled it shut. That was a safety concern. The water pressure was very low. The price was fine.
- 4/5
Staff were helpful and kind! Place is a bit out dated but overall a good stay especially if youre flying its 100% worth the price
- 4/5
Staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Good place to stay if you’re flying out of Portland
- 2/5
There was a dog in a nearby room that barked off and on All night long!
- 5/5
The hotel was perfect for our needs of an affordable place for one night with a shuttle to the airport. Very no-frills, but was definitely worth the price.
- 2/5
There are signs everywhere that this property is declining, including sinks, plugging up and cracks in the wall. But the biggest inconvenience was that the guy who checked me in claimed that he set me up for a 3 AM shuttle and when I got up and got ready at that ungodly hour I had no reservation.
- 4/5
Many staff very kind and pleasant, one much less so. A good place to stay.
- 5/5
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is easy and convenient
- 5/5
Nice and clean hotel. Friendly staff and good location if you’re flying out. Shuttle service convenient.
- 5/5
4 am shuttle driver was super nice and helpful.
- 4/5
It was as clean as ever, fresh, lovely everything and helpful staff. Nice facility
- 3/5
This hotel is very run down. The lock on my room has been essentially ripped from the wall and broken, the hair dryer was broken, the tub was worn down and discolored and the place was over all beat up
- 2/5
The tv and internet were out. Someone was going through the dumpster at 3am
- 5/5
I travel to the central Oregon coast from the east coast twice a year for business. There aren’t a lot of direct flight choices from/to Boston. Red Lion is my go to hotel for breaking up the trip into comfortable segments. Upon arrival, generally late at night, I stay there before heading to the central coast the next morning. When returning to Boston, I stay there the night before my usual morning flight. Price is very reasonable, rooms are clean and comfortable, shuttle service is dependable, check-in efficient. Been doing this for nine years.
- 5/5
Amazing unless youre walking ,then its a bit inconvenient
- 4/5
It took 3 calls and an hour for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport which was only a little over a mile from the hotel. The photos online do not match the actual condition of the facility. The corner piece by the bathroom had been pulled loose and was held on by tape. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Overnight staff was excellent!
- 2/5
Problems arose immediately. The bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke, desk chair was broken, the ironing board was dangerous, the bed had stains and smelled of fumigation spray and the last straw was the shower. There was no water pressure. After my final straw they reluctantly "upgraded " us to a different room. This room was definitely better.
- 4/5
I really like this hotel. It felt very safe and the staff was extremely nice. I was a little concerned about the shower but that was the only thing I didn't like. Everything else was great
- 5/5
Nice place
- 3/5
It was suffice for a quick trip to the airport. It wouldn't stay long term
- 3/5
Getting a bucket of ice was quite inconvenient since the one near the room was not working. Had to go back to the front desk to get ice.
- 4/5
Had to go to lobby to validate parking. Reasonable for convenience to airport.
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. This was a good place to spend the night before a flight. It was clean and well furnished. There were restaurants nearby but not within walking distance. All in all, a good stay.
- 5/5
I wish that the front desk let me know at check-in that parking would be validated.
- 5/5
Nice
- 1/5
Unkind staff.
- 5/5
Airport shuttle
- 4/5
Clean room and friendly staff. No elevator
- 3/5
Very noisy. Safety lock on door was broken. No restaurant and limited food choices in food for sale. Did I say that the bed was sooo comfortable with?
- 2/5
Bathroom was so moldy and out of date would not use it.
- 3/5
It's ok. The staff is not too friendly but they are efficient. Also, there is no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage, don't let them put you on the upper floors. The rooms are clean and comfortable but you can hear everyone coming and going and all the outside noise. The plane noise is the least of all bothersome.
- 5/5
This is my go to hotel in PDX. Clean, efficient and quiet — and the airport shuttle is great too
- 4/5
No shops or restaurants
- 5/5
We have a large breed dog that was welcomed with a minimal surcharge. Our room was very clean and accommodating.
- 3/5
Area is not the best. Tough to get to.
- 5/5
The price point beats anything in the area. Friendly staff, rooms are nice. No fancy, doesn't need to be. The bed mattress slept very well. I'm very happy to utilize this place for future trips to Portland.
- 5/5
Love the hotel is in the middle of the city and has a target and cvs near by great restaurants options all walkable
- 4/5
I don't think breakfast is available
- 2/5
Towels were scratchy feeling and hair on them. Tub was cracked and rusty at drain and rest of tub was scraping out. I did not sleep well. Main room was clean. Staff was awesome.
- 4/5
The property could USA a little TLC, but it is very convenient to the airport, and reasonably priced.
- 4/5
The receptionist at our checkin was rough speaking, and didn’t mind sharing that she was tired, more than once, but she was efficient.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Close to airport
- 4/5
Worked out for us.
- 4/5
Closely located to the airport. Room was comfortable.
- 2/5
No escalators, had to carry my luggage upstairs. Hallway floors dirty, stained and torn. Smelled musty and one of the beds had a sinkhole in the mattress.
- 3/5
Yes
- 5/5
Staff at check in were friendly. Room was clean.
- 3/5
For a overnight stay good
- 4/5
Close to airport
- 4/5
Staff were great and the place is real clean. Only disappointment is the walls are very thin and the person next door coughed all night. Highly recommended wearing ear plugs.
- 5/5
Everything was nice
- 5/5
Excellent hotel for price.
- 5/5
Check in was easy. Our room was ready and as advertised.
- 1/5
During my stay on this property, I didn’t realize that it had poor reviews on Google. The room that I was placed in is outdated. The lock on the door was busted on the panel. The headboard screws are poking out. The furniture is very well used looks like the more popular red lions donated their older furniture to this red lion. Overall, it was just a really bad experience staying here. I do not recommend it to anyone.
- 5/5
Front staff was great helpful in places to eat
- 5/5
N/A
- 4/5
The property was fine, but the lady that helped me at the front desk was fantastic. I got in late and she had such a great attitude, and was very helpful. She was there still when i checked out early the next morning.
- 4/5
The property needs a bit of TLC, but it is very reasonable and convenient to the airport.
- 5/5
Clean property picked me up from the airport right away, last minute unplanned nights stay but they made it effortless
- 2/5
The biggest complaint is they even charge you for parking each night of your stay $10 each night.. which I find to be very much of a pain.
- 3/5
Property was clean other than the sugar ant crawling on the nightstand, and you know where there’s one there is a whole colony a short distance away. No elevator makes it difficult for an older individual to get their luggage up and down the stairs
- 2/5
Staff snapped at my brother twice during xheck in. There were several people in line behind me and she was working alone. My family felt uncomfortable sitting in lobby with staff member. I must say we returned our rental car tonite and the shuttle returned us to hotel very quickly.
- 4/5
Stayed one night. Nothing fancy
- 3/5
The bed ok but have couple chairs and loveseat very old I don’t want seat on it.
- 5/5
Staff are nice
- 5/5
I really liked the 24 hour shuttle
- 3/5
The bed is ok chair and loveseat very old I don’t want seat on it.
- 5/5
Free airport shuttle convenient
- 3/5
Staff was confused about ,how the parking worked
- 5/5
Hotel was perfect for our early morning flight out. Will definitely stay here again when in the area
- 3/5
Not dirty but not clean looking. Think it’s dumb to pay for parking if you’re staying at the hotel. Probably won’t stay here again.
- 5/5
Great property 1.3 miles from PDX. The hotel was clean. The staff was good. It served his purpose. The beds are super comfortable.
- 5/5
Great service
- 3/5
The staff member checking us in was lovely and friendly! The room however appeared clean until we noticed that the bathroom unfortunately was crawling with ants. Otherwise great stay
- 5/5
The bed was perfect. If you need a ride anywhere it’s provided. It’s obviously an older place but I’m an older person. It was clean quiet convenient and cheap!
- 1/5
Unable to get wake up call because phone doesnt work. Also alarm radio in room does not work. Was placed inthe last room, very far from lobby with cars parking right outside my window, so heard everyone locking there cars and talking. Rooms also verythin, lots of noise in hallway.
- 5/5
This property gives me exactly what I need , an easy place to rest between flights. And it is exactly what you pay for. No frills. Basic but clean and staff is professional.
- 3/5
It was great, but it was noisy, the jets started taking off at 6am & it was impossible to sleep through that.
- 5/5
The staff at the Red Lion when I went there were all just absolutely phenomenal, such lovely people to have real conversations with that make you feel at home. It’s not the fanciest hotel in the area, but you’re treated like a person rather than a client and I loved that.
- 4/5
Very close to the airport with a free shuttle. Clean comfortable surprisingly quiet room (there is a parking lot for 2 small hotels). Desk staff friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
The window was broken, toilet plugged, the door knob super loose. The room smelled and the front desk was rude. I did not sleep and will NEVER stay here again.
- 5/5
Great hotel good price
- 5/5
Clesn
- 2/5
Floor was so dirty I wouldn’t walk barefoot in room. Mattress was old and extremely uncomfortable. Hotel staff were rude and unprofessional.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience. Checked me in early when room became available. Customer service top notch..
- 2/5
When I checked in I was told that no parking was available.
- 4/5
Clean and quiet. Staff fast and efficient. Bathtub not good. Door swing inside - problem
- 2/5
Smelled like smoke in our room. Moved to a better one but still somewhat Smokey
- 5/5
The best thing!! The wheelchair shower in the accessible room! Thank you!!
- 4/5
It is listed on Expedia that there is a breakfast and they haven't served this since Covid. It was one reason I chose this property.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 1/5
Rooms smelled bad, very strong cigarette smoke, and dirty smell. The shower had black mold. Will never stay at Red Lion again.
- 3/5
No eating establishments and no breakfast options. Also parking fee charges separate from stay ($10/night). Really?
- 5/5
Property wss clean and front desk was helpful.
- 3/5
This is a pretty standard low budget airport hotel. You’re paying for convenience to stay close 2 mins away from the airport.
- 2/5
The manager was very understanding.
- 2/5
The building is old and the hallways smell like a dog that has been wet. The bed springs were so bad that it was very uncomfortable to sleep on.
- 4/5
Parking access glitchy.
- 4/5
Need more shuttle service if going to advertise it. It makes it seem better than it is.. You can't get a time slot until you check in and then you end up an hour earlier than you wanted when you're doing it to grab what little sleep you can. Should have stayed home and ubered
- 4/5
.
- 1/5
The water burnt my child’s hand. She had the water on warm while washing and when she put her hand in it had gotten so hot it BURNT her. Not just red irritated skin from hot water. It literally BURNT her.
- 3/5
Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Shower is a handheld only unless you are 5’ tall. Huge gap under door so any and all noise from hallway comes straight in room. Decently clean, super close to airport.
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable
- 3/5
Convenience. Get what we paid for.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable
- 4/5
We were flying back home and needed to stay overnight somewhere. The room was clean, it was a little pricy we felt for the accommodations. The staff were nice, I would say somewhat sloppy dressed, but were kind, and accommodating.
- 5/5
You have to go through gates to get a ticket at the hilton (shared lot) but not signed well
- 4/5
It was clean and the hotel staff was excellent. The place is a bit rundown and there’s no food or drink because they didn’t reopen their restaurant after Covid.
