- Poor location
- Lack of hot water

Rooms smell like dog and the bathroom was far from clean
- 3/5
the property is in a railroad industry setting with a strip club on the upper road adjacent.. the rooms had what were nice and new furniture but has been used hard ..the desk chair had dirt and something on it , the bed itself had old dingy sheets with makeup on the pillowcase... I looked at the mattress after noticing all the obvious areas were bad .. and the mattress had red pink splatter stain on side didnt want to think of the two options of what it could be .. the mattress itself had hard springs . The bathroom .. well it appeared ok not great but ok until I put the small dingy towel on the hook to take shower and the hook dropped to the floor ..our window screen had a deep bend in it not to mention the air conditioner smelled musty and the screaming couple next door. with that said the lobby was clean and appeared nice, the female who checked me in was very nice yet didnt check to see that I had already paid for room on Hotel.com and charged my card ... I had to wait atleast 5 days before I recieved my $ back ..

Everything except Stephanie helms staff at night. We specifically stayed at this hotel because we used to stay at the best western in st helens but the last time we were there she robbed us. We couldn't believe she was allowed to work at another hotel. She sells fentanyl at work and allows her drug selling and buying friends to stay in the empty rooms for free when she's working and clean up after themselves before they leave at 7am. We ended up getting a second room during our stay and i think that room had been used that way since there was no tissue paper and a left over rose on the shelf and the bed looked sloppy. Made us feel violated and unsafe all over again. Everybody else was fantastic. The quicker you get rid of stephanie the better. She's dangerous. See above

Nice pool. The hot tub was closed for maintenance. It was one of the main reasons I picked that hotel, so it was definitely a bummer.

Decent option for economy choice, but overall bit run down. Our room had distinct dog smell and beds were kinda lumpy. Shower head was leaking and the faucet was weirdly loose (but worked). Pretty good breakfast! We didn’t use pool, but it looked okay. Not walkable area, except little convenience store, but about 10-15 min drive to a lot of things.
- 5/5
It was Amazing. Very good pool
- 4/5
The breakfast on 3 mornings was biscuits and gravy, (😐) sausage patties, no eggs of any type, waffles, cold cereal, and yogurts. I would have preferred more protein selection. Pool was fun for the kids and great place for walking rhe dog on grass and in the shade of the trees.

They charged my credit card $200 upon checkout. I went back, and they immediately started apologizing for the mistake and refunded the money. Scammers.

It was really nice and clean , I had no problems here , the AC in the rooms were nice , the breakfast was good , not too bad Didn’t have complaints

The staff were so friendly and the 24 hour pool The gym was blah

Clean room, good bed, plenty of parking, free breakfast, pool/spa & fitness room open 24/7, not really noisy The treadmill is broken and not in the fitness room despite there being photos of it. They said it will be replaced with a new one, but they don't know when.
- 3.5/5
Way outdated but the staff was great, and the pool/jacuzzi is 24/7 which is RARE. Pictures from booking.com are sleek and modern. Actual hotel is kinda from 20 years ago, relatively speaking.
- 5/5
Had a blast
- 3/5
Love the 24hr access to the pool and hot tub. The staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful. My only concern/complaint was the worn down quality everything is. I almost fell when the handle rail moved while I was entering the hottub. The breakfast wasn't all that desirable.
- 2/5
Upon arrival the clerk was nice and helpful. Only after taking my card, and completing my booking, they informed me the electronic key card system for the room doors was not working. They told me not to worry, and that they had a "backup" key card to get into the room. The problem is that the "backup" key only unlocked the door the first time it was used, and then the door stayed unlocked....for good. Which would be fine, if we'd have stayed in our room for the rest of the night, but we wanted to use the pool, or go to dinner, nope, the door doesn't lock. We couldn't just leave all our belongings in an unsecured room. After loading our bags back into the car and going to dinner, the manager had showed up to remedy the system issue. After it was fixed, the rest was fine. Oh, except for the little black-haired man, who yelled at us for removing one pool towel to walk back to our room. He was a little jerk. 1/10 recomend.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, great amenities.
- 4/5
Very conmfy
- 2/5
Check in was smooth and the staff was efficient, but not overly friendly. The room was dated and not the cleanest it could be. The pool bring opened 24th was nice, but there were wet dirty towels around, garbage, and a dirty bandaid outside the pool and hot tub area.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent, I'll comeback.
- 5/5
The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a fridge and microwave. It older but well maintained. Loved the pool and hot tub which was open 24 hours making it very easy to enjoy. Breakfast was typical with some hot items like eggs, sausage and waffles and many bake goods, cereal etc. Staff were nice and helpful. The hotel was about 30 minutes from the airport and easy to get to. It’s not a walkable location but a very short drive to the different neighborhoods of Portland where you could park the car and explore. It’s a easy drive to Multnomah which is a must see free attraction.
- 4/5
Very nice, clean room. Breakfast was a good variety of items and the pool was great for my kids.
- 4/5
Treadmill was broke. Not much around the area. But hotel was clean and nice. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Great stay for families with kids. Very quiet and great breakfast.
- 4/5
The room was clean, the amenities were nice. My only complaint is that the breakfast was not refilled when we went to eat. There was only bagels, waffles, and cereal or granola left.
- 4/5
Left a little garbage in cabinets
- 4/5
This was the perfect spot for a night at Portland before heading back home. We especially loved the pool and the pool schedule, and the breakfast in the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful--from the front desk to the housekeepers. We truly appreciated the hospitality.
- 4/5
Hot tub was not warm enough. 8 had to ask for towels 2 different times, ask to have housekeeping come in on the fourth day we were there and nobody showed up. On day two I staked the halls for housekeeping so I could get garbage bags and fresh towels. Besides that great place to visit
- 5/5
I will stay here again it was a great experience
- 2/5
No good experience in this hotel
- 2/5
The property is very old and needs updating. My room smelled like old smoke and the shower head was loose so it leaked. There aren’t any restaurants in the area either. The staff were very nice but I would look somewhere else.
- 1/5
This is an awful experience in which the hotel bed had bodily fluid still left on it. It was unclean unsafe conditions, and we actually had to go get a different hotel.
- 3/5
Pool is freezing.

- 5/5
it was a nice stay with a hot tub and breakfast. I was worried about the location at first, anywhere in Portland is kinda sketchy, but this place was in a good spot where we felt good about leaving our car.

The stay was great , the room could have been slightly cleaner

Staff was very friendly and breakfast has a good variety. Only issue would be the large gap under the door and everything can be heard from the hall and outside.

The room was not clean. It was very dirty. The carpets were dirty, around the toilet was dirty, the window sills had mold or were just very black with dirt. The vent in the bathroom had an inch of dust. The staff were nice. The breakfast was not great.

The hotel and room really had a bad odor. The breakfast was not hot.

All Perfect! Thank you!

Clean room beds are okay I enjoy the jacuzzi swimming pool and waffles with sausages and eggs front desk Margot very helpful
- 5/5
Really nice 24 hour pool and hot tub. Really appreciate that after a long drive and late check in. Bed was very comfortable and the Kuereg in the room is a nice upscale touch.
- 1/5
The room smelled really bad (like stale body odor)! We asked for a new room, but instead were given an odor neutralizer to spray in the room. We were exhausted so just dealt with the smell. In addition, the shower was missing a curtain liner, so we had water all over the floor. The tissue box was empty, and overall the room just felt dirty.
- 5/5
great staff and nice room
- 5/5
Huge, clean room, large pool and spa, friendly staff. Breakfast options are limited but free.
- 5/5
Traveled with family to spend the New Year. The area was safe, I actually accidentally left the trunk of my car open for a few hours 😅 there's a little store across the parking lot and it seems to stay pretty busy. I was very happy to see that nothing was taken from my car. The facilities were clean and the beds were sooooo comfortable. I had that good hotel sleep that is sometimes hit and miss when traveling. Staff was super kind, friendly, helpful. The stay here made our first time in Oregon just that much better. I will definitely be going back when I'm in the area again.
- 4/5
Room was clean but furniture could be updated.
- 5/5
My family and I had a great stay. Daisy ( I think that’s her name) she was amazing, very helpful in checking us in and out. Wish breakfast can be til 10:30am and housekeepers are quick in picking everything up at 9:30am.
- 5/5
Our double queen room was very comfortable and stylish. My kids loved the pool area, it was cleaan and well kept. The free breakfast also had a nice variety.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable
- 1/5
Wyatt wasn’t very helpful. Somehow my booking got canceled and it was a very unclear and awkward process to get things fixed. Wasn’t communicating anything, felt as if I was guiding the solution process. Also the room bathroom smells like mold. But the pool and hot tub is 24/7 which is rad.
- 3/5
Dated, bathroom was dirty,
- 4/5
Good breakfast
- 3/5
Staff was very courteous.. we really only spoke to one. Amenities could definitely improve along with the water pressure and size of the shampoo, soap, conditioner provided for the guests. Bed was soft and comfortable but the pillows were just very lumpy and fairly uncomfortable. Most of the furnitures in the room were really old. We stayed in a room that had a sofa and an office chair, and both upholstery were worn out and scratched up. Closer to the laundry, the smell was very pleasant, but the further you go from the laundry, there’s a lingering smell of an old mop that emanates from somewhere. There was a spider in our tub and again, the water pressure was very low. All in all, it did what it needed to do— provide a place to sleep at. But if you seek higher end amenities, this isn’t the place to stay at.
- 1/5
Terrible, stay away. The room with jacuzzi, the water that came out from the faucet is yellow, the bed is hard and pillow is very flat. Bedcover is very thin. Room smells dusty and 9 in the morning while we still sleeping, the house keeping start vacuum all the whole way with very loud vacuum noise and keep knocking at our door until I have to get up and tell her that we still sleeping.
- 5/5
Everything was fine.
- 5/5
Room was lovely. The only thing I could say is it'd be nice if there was fans in the bathrooms
- 4/5
Nice room
- 2/5
My room smelt like cigarettes. Didn’t trust the bed enough to even get in the covers. The entire hotel… lobby and all… Reaked like weed.
- 5/5
The room was great, the beds were comfortable. I loved that they put us near the door to the pet area.
- 5/5
Great stay as always
- 5/5
Great staff, good location for where i needed to go, bus ( though limited hours) directly in front of hotel, excellent hot breakfast, 24 hour indoor pool and hot tub, and a clean quiet room.

The accommodations were great! Staff was friendly. The room was clean. Easy access with plenty of parking. We were able to have our dog stay with us and there were areas to walk her and a park nearby.

- 5/5
Love that the pool is 24 hours!!! Our room was clean and bed was comfortable. It was a wondeful stay !
- 2/5
The toilettes in the bathroom were mismatched brands. The house keeper came into my room unannounced and without permission. At breakfast time the same woman had all ten children with her running around and playing in the breakfast area. Overall a terrible experience and waste of my money.
- 1/5
Terrible
- 5/5
The internet service was nice. We enjoyed our stay in the comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and staff. It was very clean. The pool wasn’t the cleanest but what public pool is? The bathtub was nice, and how big the room was, was amazing. It’s not in a great spot, but it was nice staying there.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing !
- 5/5
Spent my birthday weekend there great place
- 2/5
Really strong smoke smells in the room. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, we just needed a quick place to stay while in town for less than 24 hours but was surprised at how much the room smelled like smoke. The staff was great- very helpful and friendly at check in and brought a cot for us. The area is industrial so didn’t feel very safe.
- 5/5
Everything clean and great except room 317 need clean sweep on the wall corners that had a webbing. Had a small spider crawl on my hubby’s leg the second night he woke up and killed it. Please inform staff to sweep in all walls. Thank you. Other than that all’s good and yes will stay again in the future if no webbings!!
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff. Nice breakfast options.
- 4/5
It was an older building, but well cared for and a wonderful staff. The pool area was very clean and hot tub worked great. It wasn’t an industrial area, which I did not expect but everything was fine.
- 2/5
Old and dated. Dark and dreary and in a questionable location regarding safety.
- 5/5
But I really appreciate it about this hotel in addition to how helpful and friendly all of the staff were, is that everything was in working condition. I had a light bulb going out in one of the lamps and it was fixed by the time I came back for dinner. There was a lot of thought put into this place. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that had laundry facilities and they were really nice.
- 5/5

The pool and hot tub were super relaxing and fairly clean. As for the room istelf, it was nicely set up and it looked really nice.

- 5/5
I got a big room for my family with a kitchenette which is really nice for a very affordable price. Thank you La Quinta Portland NW for keeping us comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and great attitude. Same with my morning shuttle driver to pdx
- 3/5
For my third time staying at Laquita was just alright. My other two times were fantastic. My only gripe is the gentlemen running the desk around 8ish didnt seem pleased to be at work. There was no greeting or smiles. And when I needed extra towels it was an awkward exchange. I only day this to say the women who run the definition check in during the day are so sweet and welcoming. There is also now a homeless encampment on the sidewalk near the hotel.
- 4/5
Out on the road near the hotel were a couple of homeless camps, but they did not interfere with the smooth operation of the hotel.
- 3/5
Not as good as other LaQuinta hotels we have been to. We were told housekeeping is only every third day. This was not mentioned in the Expedia info. The hotel is old. We were in a basement room...no view. Very old. We were not told this on the Expedia site. The morning breakfast not as good as at other LaQuinta hotels.
- 3/5
Everything was good. Wish I had the room pre-booked before I stepped in. It was a furnace when I stepped in and it took forever for the room to cool on a hot summer night.
- 2/5
Aside from the fact that it is older and in an industrial side of town with nothing nearby, except a literal homeless camp, the customer service was the absolute worst. I am not at all demanding or picky, I knew what I was getting when I booked a La Quinta Inn for a last-minute and short stay. But, I was not expecting, nor did I appreciate the absolute blatant rudeness of the front desk staff. The dark haired short skinny male, wearing glasses, and earrings, at checkout 0245-0300 morning of Monday 28 July is the sole reason for the two star review. He is not at all a credit to your establishment nor does he reflect a desire to even work there. I saw cameras in the lobby, so I’m assuming our interaction was recorded if anyone would like to see him not even bother looking up as I stood at the counter directly in front of him for check out. You will see he only speaks when I say hi and even then he has an immediate attitude and sarcasm as if I disturbed his phone or computer time. Not a good way to start a day not a good reflection of a brand not at all ideal for front desk service he’s likely better suited for janitorial or food prep in the back away from the public. I would not stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone else at least the other things can be overlooked, but there’s no excuse for poor front desk staff in the hospitality industry.
- 3/5
Our room was not clean at all & outdated. We booked 4 nights there. I was disappointed in the room especially for the price. I try not to be too picky & don’t usually leave reviews, but they need to update or lower price some. It was not cleaned well. But I will say the staff was very kind and accommodating & they gave us a different room & made sure they cleaned it better! It was much better & the rest of our stay was good:). The breakfast was nice & the pool was fine.
- 5/5
Pool great for kids! Open 24/7
- 2/5
Room 224 had an inconsistent tap noise all time
- 5/5
Clean Comfortable Convenient Great Amenities 10/10 recommended
- 4/5
The location certainly suited our needs for the trip. While the beds were freshly made, the overall cleanliness could have been better, as the room's floor required vacuuming and the stairwell and hallways were in a rather poor state.
- 3/5
Hotel seems old and homeless was in the area.
- 5/5
All around good stay no complaints
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and comfortable, on the whole. The jetted tub in our suite was a welcomed addition. The curtains and bedding looked tired and the king bed wasn’t particularly comfortable. The room was quiet and once the front desk clerk got our TV working we were able to watch a few programs. The breakfast was adequate but some of those dining were obnoxiously loud. The only cleanliness issue we noticed was a few spatters of what appeared to be blood in the hall as we entered the building side door. When we left the following day it was still there. Beyond that, no complaints. The front desk receptionist was attentive and got us our room key and parking ID in record time.
- 3/5
Funny smell from microwave.
- 3/5
It was located in an industrial area surrounded by factories and warehouses
- 4/5
I stayed here for the Foot Traffic Marathon on Sauvie island. Hotel is 7 miles from the race venue. Very clean modern spacious & quiet. Nice indoor pool. Surrounding area is industrial but short drive to restaurants. Wish they had refillable soap & shampoo dispensers like other LQ otherwise excellent
- 4/5
very easy access to freeways. Nice a quiet.
- 5/5
We loved the 24 hour pool and the continental breakfast! Staff were also all very friendly, and it was convenient having a store across the parking lot.
- 5/5
Bed was actually quite comfortable and the room was cleaned well.
- 5/5
It was very good condition in reference to the price. I will definitely recommend it to anyone.
- 5/5
I liked the breakfasts, good scrambled eggs and sausage.
- 1/5
First of all, we walked into the room, and it smelled like mold and mildew, dewy wet. We looked at the bathroom vent, and it was completely stuffed with dirt and dust, and there was no air, stuffy breathing. Then my grandkids wake up to go to breakfast at 6:30 in the morning. Because they are on a routine, and there is no breakfast. Ready. The rooms are only stocked with decaf. Coffee and the sink in the bathroom would not drain. The remote to the tv would not work, even after returning it getting a new one and gettin batteries. The front desk said it works on the one out here, it dont.work in the room, different.setup. got.tired of dealing with it.
- 3/5
Uncomfortable bed, breakfast was nothing great.

The room was wonderful. Very comfortable beds and cleanliness. The tub was plastic and did.bend some but was a very nice stay with excellent hot breakfast.

The room was not as advertised. The property is located in an industrial area with very little services nearby.

Of the 4 days we were there, the room was never refreshed. On the second day to maid knocked but we asked if she would come back as we were getting ready to leave for the day. They never did. Had to go to front desk 3 times to at least get some fresh towels.....we didn't care about beds being made, but fresh towels would of been nice....
- 4/5
A decently nice place to stay. The smell of cigarette smoke in the hall is hard to mask but they're trying. Overall nice service and the pool and free breakfast were the highlight.
- 4/5
I had a really nice clean King room. I was a bit disappointed about the location of the room. I asked for a room on the main floor but I was hoping to get a room with the view of the parking lot of the hotel. I called them and asked to switch been since I started using the room already. I told them I would stay in that room. If you get room 204 it is facing the trucking business lot. The hot tub was very warm and the jets were working great. The food for free breakfast has some great choices. I would stay again.

I liked how the hotel is very tidy. Thank you!
- 5/5
Budget friendly, clean, well maintained
- 4/5
The ladies at the front desk were great , we had a problem with the maids though , as we told the front desk the night before we wanted late checkout for noon , the next morning maids are knocking on our room door 3 different times from 10:30-11:30 disturbing us when we had already notified the lady at the front desk the night before for checkout at noon . Lady at the front desk was great but the maids were disrespectful and the room we got was also loud cause it was facing a trucking rental lot and we heard tools being ran all night . In the garage even at 2 in the morning lol .
- 4/5
I felt safe, but I was also alert to my surroundings. It is off the beaten path, in my opinion, more so than I thought it would be. The room was fine. the staff was excellent.
- 3/5
The pool was decent
- 4/5
Was a nice hotel, in to of an industrial area.

.
- 3/5
Room wasn’t ready when we got there, had to wait an hour for our room
- 5/5
Easy pre-checkin and checkout. Had keys waiting at desk when I checked in, took maybe 3 mins. Very clean, stocked, friendly, lots of parking, easy to access. Great stay with my 2 teenagers
- 5/5
Quick, clean, value if work in area. Wish had a workout bench in gym though.
- 5/5
Safe area, clean, friendly staff, rooms comfortable. Great pool and hot tub.
- 1/5
The hotel rooms smells smoky and Musty. The bathroom ceiling had a water leak and the windows had mold. The staff was friendly but the hotel could use some upgrades
- 4/5
Did not clean our room the whole time. We were there, never offered us clean towels. The two days that we were there and our trash was never taken out the two days that we were there.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed that the pool/hot tub is open 24 hours. Staff were nice and helpful. Hotel is in the industrial part of Portland, so not much to eat immediately near it, but within a few miles there are a lot of options.
- 4/5
Reason for the overnight visit was due to a family member being hospitalized. Price was reasonable. Room was comfortable and surprisingly quiet even though our room was near the elevator and the site is near an industrial area with lots of semi-truck traffic. The only real negative was that in the kitchenette area, there was a dirty bowl left under the sink. Everything else was clean. There is an elevator but it is a long walk away from the main entry.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
The walls seem very thin and I can hear the noise from other rooms.
- 5/5
Quiet place during the night
- 2/5
Jacuzzi out of service which is why we booked at this location.
- 4/5
Absolutely love the 24 hour pool! The bed are super soft and comfortable. I had a TV issue and they fixed it right away. I would recommend this hotel to families with kids it was a hit for my kids 🙃
- 4/5
We had no toiletries in the room but later on after I asked for them I had to go to the front desk to get them. Other than that everything was ok. Beds and pillows not so good. Maybe too old.
- 5/5
The negatives are very small but worth noting. My room key lost its signal twice in 5 days, the soaps and shampoos are in VERY SMALL containers that need a magnifying glass to read and there was no light over the bathroom sink which is separate from the shower and toilet. Poor design. But I would stay again and Daisy behind the counter is a gem!
- 4/5

The only down fall was that the hot tub was out of order. I would have loved to soak in it. The ice machine was broken, but the front desk was helpful with that as well!

They extremely helpful, polite very customer service oriented. I would recommend the La Quinta Inn by Wyndham NW to everyone that wants only the best experience from their hotel stay in NW Portland

Hotel was good, area around it was interesting. Homeless camps along the main road to get to the hotel and just feet from the entrance. Only 2 places to eat in the area. Staff was great, room was clean.

Friendly staff, but can smell the air exhaust from the trucks outside. Ac needs an upgrade.
