It was new and very clean. Nice soft bedding. Decent breakfast and only 15 minutes from the airport. A little far from the city proper.

The bed was comfy. Employees were nice. Breakfast was decent. There was rotting food in the pool area. It wasn’t cleaned up, even the next day after we checked out. There were adults getting drunk in the hot tub all evening. I think some of them were employees. They just put up a sign that said “hot tub out of order” so no one else could go in. Food service Hair nets, crusty bandaids, and random items in the pool. It was disgusting. I brought my 4 year old here and left the pool. I only stayed here for the pool. Wish I would have stayed elsewhere. Also no one would fix our TV remotes so don’t count on watching TV while you’re here either.

We were there for 3 nights, no one ever clean the room we had to ask for more towels, I saw the cleaning lady ask if she was cleaning the room that day, she said yes, but never did she just add towels

Breakfast and checking OUT!!! The staffs response to moldy shower curtain, and dirty bed sheets, to potential guest, please be sure to read reviews about this hotel before deciding to stay! Also the pool and spa area are unsanitary and good luck finding a clean towel as this is one of the low budget holes that seem to scrimp and scrape by on the bare minimum. I was told to enter the green seaweed Spa and greasy pool at my own risk by the angry Ethiopian girl with braids at the front desk, she was SUPER RUDE! Management DOES NOT care about you as a customer and will write fake responses addressing your concerns but will NOT take any action. So if you are looking for a LOW budget Unfriendly hotel that only cares about their bottom line, then the Holiday Inn Express & Suites at Jantzen Beach in Portland Oregon is your absolute best stop!! Enter at your own risk! Thank you Jantzen Beach Holiday Inn Express & Suites YOU SUCK AZZ PLUS TAX!! And don't bother writing me back in response you know for a fact this is ABSOLUTELY TRUE and as a guest I was made to endure this HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE even after You had every photo and email. I was Told by the front desk when asked for clean sheets as stains were on my bed sheets super gross!!! to take my sheets off the bed and sleep on the mattress, when I asked for a non moldy shower curtain and was given a clean one but told to put it up myself cause they aren't maintenance

There was free parking. Room was not fully cleaned, I booked this because of the hot tub and it was not working in my birthday, there were screaming outside my room. Not a great experience.

We stayed two nights, the day between, housekeeping didn't touch the room. Room had a SINGLE trashcan that the three of us (me, and two other people) filled over the course of a day and a half. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall, bed sheets had weird stains on them and were not completely dry when put on the bed, when we arrived at about 1030pm and climbed in bed, you could tell the sheets were still semi wet, which wasn't the end of the world because we were exhausted after driving, but not an awesome feeling when you climb into a bed at the end of the day.

We always look for places to stay with breakfast and a pool. Both were great and as expected. Lobby had coffee and tea readily available too.

Breakfast was amazing. The lady running that dining room is so sweet. I did not appreciate the guy from the front coming in and yelling at her to hurry up when there was plenty of food available. So unprofessional and rude. Also nobody was available at the front when it came time to check-out.

Breakfast was good, staff were super nice lady with flowers in hair was so sweet! But the room looked ok but there were ants all over the room and the drain was clogged and the water built up in bath while showering.

I had a room that supposed to sleep 5 reserved, two queens with a couch, our flight had been delayed, I called ahead at 8pm to let them know we wouldn't be checking in until after midnight, and they could only find a room with two beds, no couch. Forcing one to sleep on the floor.

Hot tub was broken for 4 of our 5 days there. Our tv in our room stopped working after the 1st day. Staff told us our room would be changed, that the issue was addressed and that we would be credited or would receive points and none of this happened.

I was attending a seminar on the weekend and found the room clean and quiet. There were no unpleasant surprises, everything was as advertised, clean, quiet and comfortable.

Not great. The area was abandoned (empty store fronts/closed shopping area) with parked RVs on the street curb; so safety was a concern. In addition, the house keeper left the door open after cleaning. Our room with our belongings in it was left open for more than half the day. For what it’s worth, the breakfast was good. I would not recommend staying here.

The staff was outstanding. Despite a few hiccups, (Hot Tub not working, Room thermostat not working) the staff made it a great stay. The breakfast "Guardian" remembered us from last time and was engaging. I'll be back - hopefully the hot tub is fixed.

The only reason I chose this hotel was because of the hot tub. Guess what? They had a sign that it is out of order and to come back because of maintenance. We came back at night and still the same, we went to sleep and next morning still the same. Never staying at this hotel again, such a poor ownership. At least we should get an email indicating that during our dates the hot tub will not be available.

This is a good option if you need to be close to the airport and want a few extras like breakfast and a pool. The location is a bit far from everything however if you don't need to be near the airport. There are very few dining options if you want to stay on the island and not fight interstate traffic. Room was large, beds were comfortable, and very quite at night made for good sleep. Overall I would recommend if you need to be near the airport or Vancouver.

This hotel is in the middle of a rough place of town...triler park on one side and homeless camp on the other. We didnt even stay...went in and cancelled our reservation.

They put me in a room with the worst view (all concrete roof!) even though they were pretty empty. And the front desk experience was just plain weird!!

Housekeeping and the staff handling breakfast were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was great with lots of options. Room and property was clean, beds comfortable. Not many unique dining options nearby, which was disappointing.

Out of our 8 days stay, our bedding didn't get clean!! The room was never cleaned either!! I've complained to the front desk, NOTHING was done about it! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! Homeless people digging through the dumpsters making you feel unsafe!!! I guess that's why they have a low star rating!! Don't book here!!

This place is an Oasis in this half of the island! Very clean and well staffed, the interior is upgraded so its a comfortable place to spend a night. The neighborhood is quiet and I found it quite safe.

Please avoid getting room on ground floor. We got room right in front of laundry room and hotel staff started talking loudly from 7 am.

Our room was pretty clean, however we did notice there was ants all over the place. Not just in our room, but in the pool, breakfast area.

We have stayed here before and decided to stop here on our way home from a road trip. The hotel was very nice and we liked our room. The pool was nice, but both times we went for a swim large families were in there and dominated the entire pool area. Also, there were nowhere near enough chairs. The breakfast was average, but when we first got down there with 30 minutes left, there were no eggs or sausages. We had to ask if they planned to restock the food. The TV was glitchy and we tried to call the front desk, but the phone in the room was not operational. We enjoyed late checkout with our membership.

The bed in the king suite is NOT a king bed, it was much smaller. Me and my husband were very uncomfortable. There was also a significant amount of noise above us and down the hallways until 3am so it was challenging to sleep. Otherwise the staff and cleanliness were great.

Room and property were clean, check in was easy and accommodating to our needs. Staff is always great to ask questions about the area.

One thing that was nice was the pool/hot tub area was open until 11pm instead of 10pm like other places I've been. Checkout was at noon instead of 11am like other places. The breakfast inn the morning was hot and ready which is always a nice feature. Staff was kind and always trying to make sure you were taken care of. The room we were in was a king suite. Very comfortable and clean. Definitely gonna stay there again!

Very clean hotel. The breakfast was great! Being dairy and gluten free I usually cannot eat anything off the complimentary buffets, so I was happy to see that they offered a dairy free vanilla milk that I used in my coffee as well as yummy hardboiled eggs and bananas. The staff did a great job keeping the buffet stocked. They also offered complimentary coffee, hot tea, apple cider and hot chocolate all day in the reception area. Our room was nice, we did have several small ants near the shower, but they were not the biting kind. The only complaint would be that our room backed up to the indoor swimming pool so when guests were swimming it was pretty loud. Not too big of a deal if you go to bed later after the pool closes. We did arrive after the snow storm so it was hard to get an Uber to come out and get us, we had Ubers cancel over ten times before getting one to pick us up. Overall a nice hotel, it is probably nicer when the weather is better and you can walk to the shopping center.

Nice, clean, well appointed and updated. Also nice that everything was open and worked like pool and jacuzzi and television. Breakfast was nice and dining area was updated. Good for the money.

This was a perfect place for my girls galentine!! Shopping literally two block away!! Amazing food and of you want the city life, then your not too far.

Overall a nice property, but the toilet seat was broken, and the bathroom was so small and poorly designed that you could only get to the toilet paper if the door was closed, but if it wasn't closed before sitting down it couldn't be closed because it was too close to the toilet. Also, the hand towel bar fell off and no one came to fix it. No VIP benefit received.

The walls are paper thin. We were put in a room next to the elevator, so i heard foot traffic and people talking outside the room constantly. The people on the next floor up had kids that were runni g and jumping, felt like they would fall through the ceiling.

This facility exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked into the building the staff was friendly and the lobby looked well kept. The lobby offered coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24/7. The room was very spacious. Beds were comfortable and the room had additional sofa bed, coffee table and desk and chair. The staff was friendly and very accommodating to our requests for additional blankets and toiletries. The complimentary breakfast was very good and changed daily. The indoor pool and spa was an added bonus. There was a small gym and laundry facilities. Overall me and my family really enjoyed our stay.

I've stayed here before and it's a good place to stay when you're in Portland and need a cheaper place out of the way to stay. That being said, it does feel sketchy even though you don't really feel unsafe. I also had a problem that 2 days they didn't do any kind of room service, and I really just got a towel thrown on the side table. I would definitely stay here again, and probably just request stuff ahead of time.
