Great location, fun pool for the kids, good workout equipment, and a well stocked breakfast buffet.

The rooms are beautiful, quiet, and the breakfast is included. Downtown and barely ten minutes to multiple bars, restaurants and other establishments. Don't forget that you should Valet your car!!!!!!! My only complaint is that the valet is not prominently shown enough! I had already found a street parking spot before I walked up to the building and of course it was far too late then.

The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was big! AC worked well! Saw a cockroach in an elevator full of others on the way to breakfast. Opted to eat elsewhere. I told the front desk about this and they blamed it on their policy of being pet friendly saying the pets drag in pests. I have dogs and cats and they don't drag in cockroaches. Also had a small stain on my bedsheets.

Check in staff and valet staff were very friendly and helpful. The decorating scheme of the hotel was odd--lots of clashing patterns in carpet, wallpaper, and artwork. We were supposed to have our room cleaned on day 2 but housekeeping never came. It took 2 calls and a visit to the front desk over a few hours to finally get clean towels and the trash emptied. Other than that, it was a nice stay and close to good restaurants and Powell's Books.

The staff was very helpful with suggestions around town. I happen to have a small fall while exploring down town and they provided me with first aid items. Breakfast was great and had plenty of options for everyone. Really enjoyed our stay here.

The staff was extremely extremely nice and welcoming never been to a hotel where staff went out their way to.make sure we were happy. Cleaning is only every other day. You have to ask for room cleaning.

The room was small, but clean. We had a direct view of the furnace right outside our window so that was a little disappointing. However, we were not in the room a lot to even notice. The pool was great, the breakfast was great, but very busy. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The best thing in this hotel is the staff and the location. I didn't like that the clean the room and replacing the towels once every other day. The room was nice but the setup was horrible. If you like to watch TV you have to sit on the bed with no back support that because of the bed facing the windows and the TV on your left. My wife and me had to sit on the bed with very noisy bed because of the spring in the mattress making noise. Overall it's okay but never going back there.

Good value for money. Solid (room, staff, breakfast, facilities) all the way around. Mattress could have been a bit better (and toilet paper could use an upgrade).

Everything about the Portland Hampton Inn in the Pearl District was great! The pool was amazing for the children and the breakfasts were both delicious!! The location was also very walkable to many great restaurants and breweries!

Wasn’t pleased with the parking situation. I don’t understand why you don’t provide customer parking when you offer parking in your garage by valet. Is it just so you can charge more? $50 a day for parking seems a bit steep.

I loved this place the location was great! The staff were amazing! The only thing is valet parking on a Saturday while checking in. Luckily, I found a free parking space on the street and I was able to check my valet after at night time.

The General Manager was a really nice chap when I had a request about laundry, and Dan on the front desk was a dude, really friendly and helpful. The in-house Japanese bar-restaurant was also excellent. Highly recommend. The pool was fun and for Portland the area was nice enough, although to be honest I didn't feel particularly safe anywhere in that city.

This property is beautiful, large breakfast room, big indoor pool , and a great location. Located well in downtown Portland. We were able to walk to Powell's Books, the concert hall and a great dinner. Would stay here again for sure!

I would not recommend using their parking valet if you have electrical car as I was told the car will be charged by the morning when dropped the car (first come first serve was marked as when I dropped the car was confirmed charging is available), but when got the car, it was not charged at all, that could have ruined my trips as my plan was to drive long distance and more over when I let the Valet manager know, he refused to accept the mistake and instead keep saying first come first serve, which was not applicable at my case. Hotel refund the valet in spite of valet manager saying we can’t.

Pool and gym clean. Breakfast was hot and delicious, the crew was busy keeping things stocked and fresh on a busy weekend when we where there. The restaurant attached to the hotel is wonderful as well. Fresh delicious sushi and Asian creations. My only complaint is the price for the valet parking. $50/ day!! I'm sure the management can justify this, but I found a public parking lot a block away and paid $16 for overnight till 10am parking. During our stay, we did obviously see the unhoused of the city in the neighborhood, but never felt threatened or uneasy walking to and from the car. The neighborhood is well lit and street parking is free after 7p till the next morning at 6, so if you are up early, you have that option as well.

The hotel is good and well located.breakfast was good and had a descent variety. Our room was not cleaned even after reminding, there was some miscommunication. We were provided additional towels when asked. We were provided late checkout and our bags stowed for our late flight which was very helpful. The front desk staff Aliyah was very helpful and kind.

We loved the continental breakfast, one kiddo did wish there was bacon every day, but they rotate every other day. Pool was fun, a lil chilly though. Elevators worked quick which is always nice. Would definitely go back.

Property was in a great location, perfect for families. Rooms were big and clean. Staff was very friendly. The only downside was how incredibly loud the water features are in the pool so if you have sensory sensitive kids, keep that in mind.

Fantastic hotel! Especially for the rates we got in spring! Very nice accommodations, updated throughout, large suites, breakfast was very good and hot options seemed higher quality than other places we've stayed. Pool was perfect for families of all ages, fitness center had a good number of machines and a lot of free weights, and we loved the rooftop patio! We were able to obtain cheaper parking in a ramp a few blocks away. We will likely stay here again.

Digutal tipping system wouldn't load for me, and at check out, i asked the front desk about it. The two at the counter were able to pull it up on their phones, and decided it wasn't an issue. There was no other way to tip the housekeeper, and when I said I wasnt ok not leaving a tip, they said "its fine, not your fault" I said its your staff missing out on money, they might want to know, and they were so indifferent about it, it really left me with a bad impression. Valet was polite & very quick, super convenient. Pool was a HUGE hit with the kids. Housekeeping was supposed to come every other day, though never serviced our room. We had to call & ask the housekeepers in the hallways for extra towels & toilet tissue. The room was hot, and the AC seemed to be locked,

Location! In the Pearl District walking distance to Saturday Market, shopping, and many great restaurants. Not far from the train station, also. We may arrive by tran the next time. The hotel is clean and the staff was very helpful. Our room had a nice design. The complementary breakfast was OK, but not as good as the one at the Hampton Inn in Mexico City. We will likely stay here again.

Waiting for a half hour to eat breakfast because the line was so long was ridiculous. IT disrupted our morning plans on Friday, so Saturday morning we went down when it opened at 7 and still had to wait almost 20 minutes because of the line. You should plan on having it at more stations in the hotel or do not offer it and cut the price of the room

I booked this hotel for my son’s birthday weekend and specifically wanted two things: a pool and a decent complementary breakfast. The pool was fun for my kid and well-maintained with fresh towels on-hand. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked and of good variety, quality, and taste. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful, even offering the birthday boy a free treat from the concession area. We parked on the street next to the hotel for a reasonable fee and had no issues. Overall, it surpassed my expectations and we all had a lovely time.

The rooftop patio is a wonderful place to hang out and open a bottle of wine that you can buy at the nice world grocery a half a block away. My only complaint is that the bed in our room was a bit lumpy - the mattress seemed to be nearing the end of its useful life. But I'd stay here again and hope that the bedding gets updated.

Loved the stay, except when housekeeping knocked on our checkout day, they knocked and gave no time for us to respond before just coming in usung their key. It was laterally, knock knock, "housekeeping", door immediately opens. Luckily I was able to get up in time to stop them from coming in. Other than that, the stay was wonderful and the breakfast was great!

The bed was awful and very uncomfortable. There was no conditioner in the bathroom and when asked to fill it up they still didn't do it.

When we arrived in our room there was a machine sitting on the desk, it was an air cleaning machine. Next to it was a plastic zipper bag that normally holds a spare blanket- with no spare blanket. Our refrigerator didn't get cold and there were 4 charging posts that didn't work.

We had an amazing stay! The staff was so helpful and pleasant. The views from the rooftop patio were spectacular. We loved how easy it was to park and retrieve our car. The breakfast was delicious! The lady valet who got our car and helped us load our vehicle was outstanding!

Great stay for overnight on travel unexpected delays. Near the (Amtrak) Union Station at the Pearl District. Very clean rooms, Wifi, frig, safe, and the hotel bar bistro is open until midnight. Good breakfast items (fresh fruits, very good brewed coffe) to get fueled up for next days travel or business.

Staff was courteous. Pulled out mattress to look for one of our items and saw that the area below the headboard had trash and dust. Pool is 83 degrees, no hot tub. Have to use valet at $48 a night because not too safe on street or open lots. Nice free breakfast.

We always stay here when we visit Portland with our small kids. We love the pool, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the valet parking is convenient and efficient! We enjoy the location as well, an easy walk to Powell’s Books and the cutest little grocery store, World Foods, is right across the street.

We didnt bring swimsuits but I wish we had as the pool looked very inviting. All in all, our stay was very nice. The only complaint was the toilet paper. It was very rough and dry like sandpaper. Please change that. We will be back.

We just spent one night in Portland and were happy with our accommodations at the Hampton Inn. The hotel is very conveniently located in the Pearl District, in easy walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. Staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet has lots of options.

Cost of valet parking was excessive and not well identified in the listing. Caught me by surprise, not a good surprise, and left me trapped with no alternatives. For my purpose the room, staff, amenities and location were up to Hampton Inn normally good standards. Just the parking that will lead me elsewhere for my next trip to Portland.

Stayed in a studio corner room and it was very clean and very spacious. Furniture and decor looked like it was newer. Also super quiet, I couldn’t hear any noises from other rooms or the hall. There’s a grocery store right across the street for any extra snack needs, as well as a sushi restaurant in the building that was superb. Check in and valet were both very helpful and polite.

People were amazing. The gentleman handling the front desk in the evening was friendly and on the second meeting remembered my name and used it. Alex, who was working the Valet Reception desk was friendly, professional, and a delight to chat with. The valet on Saturday morning was also super. (She appreciated driving our manual transmission car. For some, that would have been a huge issue.) It has been a minute since I have received customer care that was superb in every instance. Pool was perfect for kids. 4ft 10in at the deepest. Good Asian restaurant in lobby area. Changes the breakfast a little every day. Room service came and fixed the beds everyday and took our trash out. Great for having 2 toddlers. Within walking distance of a few things but not a far drive from the freeway. Didn't use valet and parked on the street and it worked out for me.

Everyone was super friendly. The pool was very murky and dirty. Seemed like the filter wasn’t working, and hadn’t been cleaned in a while. We all broke out into a rash, after swimming. They also placed a $100 hold on our card, which we were not expecting. No microwave in rooms.

The valet crew dented my car with their white garage door and I paid $48 per day for two weeks. I often found puddles of pool water in the elevators and I was stuck on the elevator one day. I had to notify the front desk multiple times to have them make my bed every two days and clean the room.

For downtown Portland, the staff kept the location clean and safe. We utilized the valet parking and was very grateful of the extra security measures including limiting entrance to guests only at night. We will choose this location for accommodation next time we need to stay in town for events.

The bathroom fan gave off a slight odor when turned on and the soap dish was dirty and had stains in it. The pool floor grate covers for the water spouts, tore off my 7yr old son’s toe nail when he walked over it, requiring first aid treatment.

Rooms were clean, bed was a rock, very uncomfortable hardly got any sleep. Outlets didn’t work near my bed. Automatic lights turned on in bathroom however it took 5 mins to turn off and in the middle of the night you don’t want lights on when trying to sleep! Customer service was excellent. Valet parking too expensive. Street parking is free at night until 8am.

The staff were extremely polite and helpful, and I appreciated the fresh brewed coffee available in the lobby throughout the day. The location is also a major plus. You’re right in the heart of Portland’s vibrant Pearl District. There’s an amazing convenience store directly across the street that sells all kinds of food, beverages (including alcoholic ones), and even has a fresh food counter with baked goods and hot meals. When you step out of the hotel, you’re just a short walk from the most hustling, bustling part of the Pearl District, making it perfect for exploring the city on foot. A major highlight is the on-site restaurant, Ginza, known for its delicious Asian fusion cuisine. You can walk straight into it from the hotel lobby, which is incredibly convenient. The rooftop sitting area is another fantastic touch—great for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. Overall, this hotel is a wonderful facility with top-notch amenities, a perfect location, and exceptional service. Highly recommended!

Overall it was a nice stay. The bed was too firm though, and the pillows too small and soft. The toilet paper was also not great. The breakfasts were good, with a good variety and decent quality.

Review based on a 5-day stay. Overall - Good Hotel. Good Breakfast (fair number of offerings), perhaps a few more items in the selection would have been nice. Few healthy options (apples, banana, and oranges). Why not add tomatoes and cucumbers or similar items? Front desk service was excellent some days and fair the other days (hit or miss). The pool was nice (some days it was warm and all amenities were working and other days the water was cold and the amenities were turned off (hit or miss again). Room cleaning is provided every other day - which could be a hassle if you run out of things like toilet paper. (Advice to hotel - if you have reduced room cleaning, provide more than 1 spare roll of toilet paper in the room). Portland is a traditional large city on the West Coast with significant homeless and other impacted people. The area around the hotel has significant homeless people, drug users, and obstacles (e.g. broken glass bottles). The area in front of the hotel is quite safe and clean. If you use a private car, you won't have any issues. We like to use public transportation to explore the city. Walking to the nearby Tri-Met station that services the hotel, you will find significant numbers of homeless and other interesting scenes. My advice is to travel in groups if you choice to use public transportation. We traveled all over the city in the day and in the night, in a group of 2 people, and had no issues. Perhaps carry an extra apple to give the needy

WE always stay here when we spend the night in Portland. Price is very reasonable for the area in the Pearl. As an example, of their hospitality we always stay there on our anniversary every year and they sent up a small bottle of sparkling wine, candy and some cookies AND a card with the signatures of the staff. By all means please consider this hotel on your next trip to Portland.

Room condition was fine. A lot of stuff went wrong. We walked into a room full of stuff and luckily noone was there. After that they had some more difficulties in finding my account so they out me in an upgraded room. They once again almost took me out of that room because of the miscommunication between the front staff. And then it took a while for maintenance to get our controller working since that didnt work so we had to wait a while for that as well. Walking into an occupied room has happened for the second time whike staying with hilton. Im not mad but i was just disappointed because im always a loyal customers to hilton. We had a wonderful stay for a family birthday trip to the zoo. When the staff heard it was our daughter's birthday, they decorated the room before our arrival, making it so memorable for her. The pool was a hit with the kid friendly features. The staff was so friendly and accomodating. We will stay here again!

It's been a few years since i last stayed here. The property is in good condition, but my experience was mixed. The HVAC unit in my first room was a little noisy and they upgraded me to a mini-suite down the hall. Unfortunately, that room's toilet failed the next morning, but it was promptly repaired when I reported it. The rooms were generally clean but the showers in both rooms had traces of mold in the corners of the shower floors. The staff were very helpful and promptly and positively responded to all my issues. The location can't be beat; it's in the middle of everything, and close to Portland Union Station. So despite my mishaps, I would stay there again.

My shower gel soap wasn’t refilled. The hotel needs to have only Adults hours for the pool and the gym. Too many kids at the pool and the gym at all times. Unfortunately, I will not stay again.

It’s what you’d expect from a Hampton Inn. The beds were super hard. Front desk at night wasn’t all that welcoming or friendly. They keep the hotel locked all day long so that made me feel uneasy about the neighborhood.

Overall average stay - The facility is safe and friendly. The room was not cleaned sufficiently. There was a swab on the floor behind a garbage can and the entry floor area was sticky with debris all over. Possibly just an oversight as I was allowed to check in early.

And the amount of trash was unbelievable! Plastic water bottles offered to guests, when tap water was clean and tasty. Breakfast plates, bowls and utensils all plastic and placed in garbage with no chance to recycle or compost. This hotel is so far behind the times, we won’t return.

My group and I had several rooms and check ins, the staff at the front desk and valet were very welcoming and kind. The rooms were clean except for mine with the shower some dark stains in the shower from missed scrubbing I assume between visits. Everything else was great. The breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of options.

My girlfriend and I had never been to Portland before. We loved that the staff had put together a brochure of recommendations for food! That was one of the draws for us to visit. The staff themselves were extremely pleasant and helpful. We plan on visiting Portland again in the future and already know the perfect place to stay.

I stay in Portland frequently but had not stayed at the Hampton Inn Pearl District before, but it’s going to be where I stay from now on. It’s a beautiful property, right in the heart of the Pearl, surrounded by shopping and dining. The staff are so friendly! My room was immaculate. Best hotel in town for the money.

I had a wonderful stay at Hampton Inn in Pearl district and Kristine and others that are part of the staff here were wonderful people to talk to. Breakfast had wonderful options and roof top patio was lovely. Location is very versatile for this hotel and I enjoyed exploring much of the Pearl District on foot. Lighting in the bedroom is terrible. Bedside light is mounted so that it shines right into your eyes as you are laying in bed. Bathroom light is a motion detector, at full brightness, which goes on full blast if you need to make a nighttime trip to the bathroom. Television response time is very slow, making it nearly impossible to connect to and stream your own Netflix.

Hotel is very nice, reasonable rates for downtown. Have stayed here several times and will again in the future. Outside environment a bit difficult with all the homeless.

Stayed 2 nights here with my toddler & my mom. The hospitality was great, breakfast was OK… not the best as far as taste, but still had plenty of options to choose from. There was always fresh coffee at the entrance. My only issue was the AC in the room. It would turn on & off every few minutes. While trying to sleep it was kind of a distraction hearing the AC shut on and off. Other than that the room was very clean. I was able to login into my Netflix and YouTube in the room. Unfortunately, aside from the hotel stay I don’t believe I’ll visit Portland again. Downtown is not my cup of tea, the population of homeless really destroys it. Again, nothing to do with the hotel, but I just don’t feel safe strolling downtown with my toddler.

We came for the pool, which our kids loved (ages 4 and 6). The neighborhood has many restaurants, bars, markets, shops, and yes…some sketchiness. But we didn’t feel unsafe. It’s just a marbling of haves and have nots. Reminded me of Brooklyn. Lots of character.

It’s located in a well populated area so there are many walkable businesses around. The one downfall is that there is no parking lot. You either have to find street parking or pay extra for valet (they will park your car in a secured parking garage). However, I highly recommend the valet option. It’s an extra $48 but definitely worth it for security reasons. All you have to do is text a code to their valet number and your car should be down by the front entrance within 5 minutes. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay!

The staff is amazing. I didn't like that the maintenance guys got on the elevator with their dirty air filters while my family and I (18 month old, 2 month old) were also in the elevator, but other than that, our stay was amazing! We enjoyed every minute of it, so much that we stayed and paid for one more night.

Traveling from South Carolina, I wanted to stay somewhere safe, clean, and comfortable—with great amenities and even better customer service. This hotel checked all the boxes and then some. The staff was welcoming, the rooms were spotless, and the overall atmosphere made me feel right at home. I truly enjoyed my stay and had a great time exploring the area.

I liked that this area was walkable and close to restaurants, parks and a nice store to pick up food items. Only negative was no drawer storage in the room for clothes, only odd wire racks

Great Pearl district location and a nice newer property. Staff was great and the pool, work out room and large breakfast area were nice perks. Would stay here again for sure.

Nicest Hampton ever with the friendliest staff, not sure a great area imo! We walked through some very sketchy areas near the hotel! It all worked out though and the property itself was great!
