Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its friendly staff, cleanliness, and central downtown location. However, some guests have expressed concerns about the state of the downtown area and issues with the hotel's air conditioning and valet service.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great downtown location. Bistro staff and bar is excellent. Food is mediocre. Only real complaint is their muti media platform is ancient. No streaming capability or TV program descriptions available. Very awkward. At least they finally added CC option. Parking is good. Rooms are very clean.
- 4/5
It was good for the price. A good location & the staff couldn’t have been better.
- 5/5
Was very convenient and a wonderful experience
- 5/5
Spent a few nights and based my stay on previous ratings, which were positive and accurate. Was traveling with my bike and the valet stored it in a secure location with the bikes they have available for guests. Ate a breakfast one morning at the cafe and the food was tasty and portions generous. Attentive and friendly staff. Definitely would stay here again.
- 5/5
Extremely quiet room, large bathroom with bathtub and shower, and larger room with a sofa…
- 5/5
Rooms are clean and bathrooms are large. I like that you can open a window for fresh air. The staff is professional and friendly.
- 3/5
This is a very old hotel. Rooms are dated, sheets are scratchy, mattresses worn in, TV is dish network with no streaming or guide, lobby coffee is taken away once a few guests finish the carafe, and gym is teeny. Hallways and doors are noisy with guests slamming doors at all hours of the night. Street below is noisy, too.
- 5/5
Perfect location and super welcoming staff
- 5/5
Great service and atmosphere
- 5/5
Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were spacious, quiet and comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff really make this place wonderful service and very genuine, also kindly upgraded our room as it was our anniversary. Excellent value for a big city Good sized room and bathroom with shower and bath Allowed us to use their microwave and provided us a kettle for the room for tea We couldn’t stay longer!
- 4/5
The reception staff were always 100% helpful with information, water, or anything we needed at our room. Valet always seemed on top of things except on the precise moment we brought in a rental car but I get a sense that they gave excellent service to everyone else the rest of the time. The one negative thing we found was the restaurant. The food was overcooked and the younger servers did not seem to be focusing on the work. There was a relatively older server that always seemed on top of things. But because our breakfast was overcooked, we opted to eat at the many other downtown spots with great service and tasty options.
- 5/5
Everything was clean, it felt cozy, warm and relaxed. Everyone was super nice. Best hotel experience.
- 5/5
The room was beautiful. The bed was very soft and comfortable. We parked at a nearby parking garage $14 for Saturday night (weekend rate). The room rate was very reasonable, but an added amnenity fee of $29 was added which covers a complimentary soda, gym use and some other things we didn’t want. I would rather they include this in the price rather than get hit with it at checkin.

Excellent room, wonderful staff, and a good restaurant.
- 5/5
This place was beautiful, the room and bathroom was very nice. The staff was attentive and kind and the bed was very comfortable! I actually slept well while staying here. The parking was the negative aspect because the valet was very expensive and street parking required waking up early to love the car, but regardless I would stay here again and would totally recommend it to others!
- 5/5
Our room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Staff were friendly and proactive in assuring our comfort. Great location to the riverfront, Washington Park, and several other locations we were in town to visit.

Favorite hotel in Portland

The bed was so comfortable. I spent most of the day inside after walking around the city. I slept like a baby. The location is central to everything you want to do in Portland. So close to the waterfront, the sightseeing locations (Powell's books, etc). The Happy Hour at the Bistro was great! Food was amazing and the cocktail of the day was a great way to end the day. Just perfect. Will definitely stay there next time I'm in Portland. The check-in was great. The girl who registered me told me there was a coffee machine, but didn't mention it was actually out of sight, under the TV. I didn't find it until Sunday morning, my checkout date.

Amazing place to stay and is my go to when I’m in town.
- 5/5
A huge thank you to Matty at the front desk for the outstanding hospitality. Truly topnotch service professional, kind, attentive, and made the stay even more memorable. One of the best parts is how convenient everything is. Bistro Alder right in the lobby has amazing food, and the hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to everything in the heart of Portland. If you’re looking for amazing hospitality, a cozy atmosphere, great food, and the perfect downtown location, I highly recommend Dossier Hotel. Can’t wait to come back!

Asked for a body wash refill since it's empty when I checked in, but they did not fill it.
- 5/5
Very good location, upscale property, good size room and bath. If you don’t want valet parking there is a parking garage down the street. I had a very tasty breakfast in the Bistro in the hotel. I would recommend it. We also stayed here in 2019, it is still a great place to stay.
- 5/5
Beautiful bathroom with full size products. Wonderful! We'll be back!
- 5/5
Stayed 1 night for business and it was amazing! Young lady at the counter gave an excellent referral to a cupcake shop around the corner which our customers loved!! Will for sure be back
- 5/5
Our room was clean and tastefully decorated. The staff were always asking if there was anything they could for us. When their top chef was on duty, the breakfast was great. Claudio parked and retrieved our car and was helpful with local advice. He set the good tone for all that followed during our stay. The front desk was friendly and flexible and dealt with my needs before and after my hernia repair surgery, making sure my linen was freshly changed on the day I left the hospital and returned to the Dossier. I've mentioned Claudio in this review yet there were many others who were very helpful too but I can't recall their names! All in all my wife and I had a very pleasant stay which helped my recovery go as smoothly as it did.
- 3/5
The front desk staff was nice and friendly. The location is also good. There was some construction going on nearby but overall nothing was disruptive. The part I dislike the most about the hotel is the cleanliness. The bed mattress was dirty with hair and stains. Disappointing.
- 4/5
Friendly and helpful staff, need more staff inn restaurant. Didn’t like 34.00 per day amenity fee that was surprise
- 5/5
Ideal location, friendly staff. Parking is valet only, $60 a night. You can text the valet when you are ready for your car. I recommend the Dossier to anyone who is visiting Portland
- 5/5
Great property and amazing staff specially Mica and Liza at the front desk. Clean rooms, comfy beds, nicely appointed bathrooms, great toilets.
- 3/5
The location within downtown was nice but hotel needed some sprucing up-new furniture, carpet, drapes, etc. Breakfast was good but with only one server, very slow.
- 5/5
We’ve been here 3 or 4 times now. Clean comfortable rooms, lovely staff (especially the valet/bellmen), apples and water everyday, and a great location…walking distance from so much like Pioneer Square, Powell’s bookstore, Flock food hall, etc.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Great stay. Walking to lots of restaurants and shops. Staff are always friendly. I stay here often.
- 5/5
It was a wonderful stay at Dossier. I enjoyed the hotel and the friendly, helpful staff.
- 5/5
Stayed four nights at the hotel. Staff is professional and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Downtown location is good with MAX close. Recommended
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
Had a few bumps with the front desk staff that I wish I could ignore but they did not resolve. There was no parking whatsoever. Room was pretty good for the price point.
- 5/5
What a charing hotel. Room was interestingly decorated and of a good size. The staff were helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
- 3/5
It was interrupted by extreme noise. We won’t be back. More cleaning is needed in the room, in regards to dusting. However, the hotel looks very quaint.
- 5/5
It was better than expected .
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly and great location!
- 5/5
Great location and easy stay. Really friendly staff and beds were comfortable and mostly quiet even being downtown. Had books in lobby to read which was cool.
- 5/5
Valet parking was a great bonus
- 5/5
Always love staying at Dossier. Great location. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
staff is it's #1 asset. It's muti media application and television interface is in the dark ages. Televisions were replaced with new LGs that look to be smart capable. However, no smart or wifi streaming functions are available. Not even a guide with program description. The info button on the remote returns a blank screen! At least CC is now available on all channels. My room also had a slow but tolerable draining shower. Room in need of remodeling. Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay.
- 4/5
Great stuff! Good service. Good for the price
- 5/5
Fantastic location
- 4/5
Staff was super friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
EV charging available. Fee for amenities unnecessary for people who don’t need the gym and bikes
- 5/5
We loved this hotel. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. Bar/restaurant was convenient and tasty. Also the beds were so comfortable! Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
- 5/5
Loved it all!!!!! Bigger coffee cups please though. In room and in lobby. Best shower in a hotel EVER.
- 5/5
The Dossier is in a great location for downtown Portland access. The condition of the hotel was pristine and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great central location was walkable to everything we wanted to see. Also located right near cheap parking lot. It only cost us $14 per day. Staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Great customer service and clean room, great amenities.
- 5/5
I was hoping for a buffet breakfast but you had to order in the bar/bistro. Limited breakfast menu.
- 5/5
Wonderful for all the reasons!
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Staffs were super friendly and catered to our needs perfectly.
- 5/5
Helpful staff. Good value.
- 5/5
This place is awesome! It’s right in front of Pioneer Square, so you can easily get to everything you need. Plus, there’s a Tesla charging station, so you can charge your car while you’re here. It’s a great spot for a fun and relaxed day out.
- 5/5
Great stay. Staff was friendly.
- 4/5
Parking is difficult. Hotel/valet parking is $60 night, or you have to find a parking space on the city streets. Room was nice and clean. Classic style. Restaurant was better than I expected
- 5/5
Very clean and the staff were welcoming and professional. I would definitely be staying here again in the future.
- 5/5
Central location in historical building that is nicely renovated. Good size suite and decent amenities.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The rooms were as good as advertised and the location in downtown Portland was convenient to everything. I've stayed in other locations in Portland but from now on coming back to this hotel.
- 5/5
It was great!!!!
- 1/5
Valet was the worst and the bell service was terrible
- 5/5
Great location. great staff. Food is good.
- 5/5
Location was great, the staff were friendly, the room was very comfortable. I would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, clean room. I will stay there again when in Portland.
- 4/5
The room was 78 degrees when we arrived and could not get the room cooled down. We were moved to a different room which was cooler. When we checked out we heard another person who had similar issue.
- 4/5
The room was very comfortable and well-appointed. The hotel location is very convenient for theater and other downtown activities.
- 5/5
Great experience
- 4/5
Hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. Pinball room was cool. My 4/5 rating is because they emphasize that they are dog friendly but there was no place on or around the property to safely take our dog for potty breaks. Front desk staff directed us to a park 4 blocks away! If you know downtown Portland, you know that’s not a safe option at night. We also paid for valet parking but our vehicle was left at street level, near the entrance to their garage, around the corner from the main entrance.
- 5/5
Nice hotel.
- 3/5
The hvac didn’t work during our stay. They gave us a space heater, but unfortunately it only raised the temperature 2 degrees. It was a cold and rainy couple of days and it really affected our overall experience of the hotel.
- 5/5
The room is clean and staff is very friendly.
- 5/5
The restaurant is a little overpriced and the menu should have added Pancake and Waffle.
- 5/5
Great central location to shopping, the Pearl and transportation!
- 5/5
The on-site restaurant (Bistro Alder) serves very good food — a definite highlight of the stay. The lobby is small and simple, yet cozy and personal. This hotel doesn’t feel like a large chain hotel—that’s part of its appeal. It stands on its own, with its own character and strengths. At the end of the day, people want a clean, quiet hotel where they can truly rest, along with helpful staff—and this hotel absolutely delivered on both and much more.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and I always will come back to them. Very friendly staff and hotel it self very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
We stayed here only one night for a concert but loved the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming
- 5/5
Yes , room was spotless. Staff was great !!
- 3/5
This is not a luxury hotel. It's fine. Not much service
- 5/5
Great staff and cool vibe right in heart of city.
- 5/5
Spacious room, friendly staff, great location.
- 4/5
I liked staying here. The room was spacious (1808). It could have been more clean, there was a collection of dust in the bathroom overhead vent and stains on the baseboards in the main room. The shower pressure was good but the shower head was at an annoying angle. The bed was ok. Not super comfortable or uncomfortable. The towels and linens did not smell so clean but looked clean. One of my towels had a hole in it. I'd say that they could improve the quality and smell of the linens. The view from my room was great. I liked the style of this place. I could hear cars from street below at times during the night but I was smart to bring a portable noise machine and slept pretty well with that. I'll probably be back. Great location.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel if you want a nice, low key stay where people stay out of your hair. You check in and the staff are very helpful of you ask for something but if you don’t ask, they stay out of your hair. It’s almost like no one is even there…not a lot of traffic. Not sure if that sounds cool, but it was really nice. Everything was super clean and sleek and cozy. Not a luxury 5-star, but it’s pretty darn nice.
- 4/5
Amenities and great front desk

- 4/5
There was one person at the front desk that had exceptional customer service. He went out of his way to get me cup of coffee in the restaurant when i realized the the time had passed for the available coffee in the lobby. Going the extra step with a wonderful smile and personable manner. I'm just sorry i didnt think to get his name!

Another great stay at Dossier. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I appreciate the mini fridge, Nespresso machine, and the city views. Staff are very attentive and helpful.
- 3/5
Rooms need upgrade. Lot of items are not working and old and broken. Staff was really helpful but they were short on people too.
- 5/5
Great hotel, staff and location
- 5/5
Comfy room, fantastic staff, relaxing atmosphere. I don't know if there's a better place to stay in Portland.
- 3/5
Valet staff and front desk service were unprofessional to say the least, service was poor.
- 3/5
Dining room closed for breakfast on New Year's Day - part of the reason we chose this hotel for our holiday overnight in the city. Marty, however, was great!
- 5/5
Friendly kind helpful staff, great location, remarkably clean room. Just a fantastic stay!
- 5/5
Clean room, free upgrade at check in, great service! Friendly and helpful! Restaurant a great perk too!

Art on the walls, spacious bathtub, robes and they allow dogs - providing bowls and bed.
- 5/5
Always a great place to have our family stay.
- 5/5
Great service!
- 5/5
Clean rooms, the hotel staff if more than accommodating. Pleased to always answer questions about the near by attractions and never hesitant to ask if you need anything else. Will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
I appreciated the staff’s low key but friendly interaction style and loved the room.
- 4/5
Nice rooms not 5 star service
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful and polite
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff were all fantastic. The vallet working Saturday night was amazing and went above and beyond for guests. I have no real complaints and will definitely stay again.
- 3/5
Room was clean and the location is perfect being right central downtown. They have a pet option, which was great. They bringupmm m a doggie bed and treats and offer to help with anything your pet needs. My only issue was the desk staff. Somewhat beyond not exactly being helpful. As in, holding my deposit hostage for no reason. But I think the staff is great. Maybe I encountered one bad apple. But, would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Great front staff - comfortable beds
- 4/5
Breakfast was okay. They had a good carnivore option . Meat was okay .
- 5/5
Staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We loved the noon checkout.
- 5/5
Friendly front desk personnel.
- 2/5
NO HEAT!!! Both rooms 1609 and 1610. They had to bring in a space heater because the heat IS NOT working!! Imagine such cold weather in Portland Oregon!!!! Want compensation for such an experience!!!!! Or I shall post on internet!!!!
- 5/5
Excellent staff! Loved how everything was in walking distance as well.
- 5/5
Greta stay
- 4/5
We had dinner at the restaurant & it was excellent. The king mattress in our room needs to be replaced. The ride side had no support. Had to sleep in the middle for that after waking up in the middle of the night with my back in pain.

Best room in the house, Penthouse Corner King, who could ask for more? Actually, the best is the Dossier staff, friendly professional and always welcoming. Thank you for a great check-in!
- 5/5
Breakfast was great!
- 5/5
I loved having a corner room and the view was great. The front desk staff is always efficient and friendly. The person who was cleaning the 14th floor on Sunday, 11/23, was kind and I enjoyed talking to her. I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name but she was awesome!
- 5/5
This is my third time at Dossier and I always love the location and that it’s quiet and comfortable

Our favorite place to stay in downtown Portland.

Love the Bistro Alder. Clean room, friendly staff, close to destinations like Powell’s and Deschutes Brewery. Easily walkable city with decent neighborhood.
- 5/5
Got my parents a room here for my step father’s birthday. They raved about how clean, charming and well maintained the place is!
- 5/5
Staff was amazing! Location was perfect!

Only there for a few days, but was a wonderful time. Staff was always kind and informative if I needed something. The bar and restaurant has all amazing options of drinks and food

I have to give ultimate snaps to Mica at the Front Desk. His effusive and charming demeanor really set the tone for a wonderful stay from check-in. Fab location and extra spacious rooms.

Beautiful property in the heart of the city, everything was so close. Would 100% stay again.
- 5/5
Clean, nice staff
- 5/5
Great staff! Freezing room. Temp set at 65....and stuck. Space heater offered. Room cleaning by request only. Requested. But not cleaned. Oh well, we are pretty clean and we generated our own heat.
- 5/5
The Dossier Hotel is wonderful. Great value for the room…nicely appointed, comfortable, and quiet. We didn’t hear guests or any other noise during our 5 night stay.
- 2/5
I first want to say front desk staff was great, resteraunt staff was great. Valet- I am missing items from my car
- 5/5
Great property. Great rooms and views of city from room. Loved the king premium suite. Classy. Comfy bed and pillows.
- 4/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Fantastic location and the staff was wonderful. Room was super clean with wonderful views
- 4/5
clean and great location.
- 3/5
The ease of going places. The staff was friendlier, but we have to make our own extra bed for our son. Even after asking them for the next day they didn’t clean the room or make a bed. When confronted they said will credit resort fee for two days, but they never did. Also we have for things including coffee which was our. I say it is 3 star hotel. I won’t stay here again as I think I paid too much and didn’t receive the services.
- 4/5
Clean
- 3/5
The hotel was clean. It was very cold in our room. The heater did not work. When we called the front desk, they have gave us extra blankets but they were thin, itchy, and not something I wanted on my body. They looked like something you would find in an attic. I was very disappointed. We literally slept in sweatshirts. The second night I asked for front desk to charge my Tesla. Woke up the next morning and my car was not charged. This is a service they offer and it was not fulfilled as promised. I would not stay here again.

The hotel itself is a well taken care of older building, so that means more room, thicker walls, and a tub and shower in many rooms. Every interaction with the staff has made us feel welcome and that they genuinely want us to have a good time. It's our favorite place to stay in Portland.
- 3/5
The room clean. Staff were amazing. Grateful for the vallet and charging station for my Tesla. The robots self was absolutely freezing cold. The room never got warmed up. There was 2 flies in my room. And the breakfast comp was only for one guest which I thought was weird because it was me and my niece in our room so how come we couldn’t get two breakfast comp tickets.
- 5/5
Staff is amazing. Beautiful room great restaurant
- 5/5
I will always stay here when I’m in Portland. It’s easy to walk to restaurants and the hotel is quiet at night with comfortable beds. Furthermore, the people at the front desk reception are always friendly.
- 4/5
The room was clean except for the stains on the chairs. It had a bath tub with separate shower. You could walk to some restaurants. The front desk people were friendly. The restaurant's food was horrible and overpriced.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel.
- 5/5
Was very nicely updated, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
The shops near by where wonderful for dates
- 4/5
I liked the fact that this hotel is very close to the train and bus station. Commuting to and from the airport was extremely easy and convenient. The hotel is older, but it is pretty well maintained. The older restaurant was convenient and food was good. Daily happy hour was great. Staff from both the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff that are very courteous.

Really enjoyable stay, the room was excellent and the staff helpful and friendly.

Location: hotel location was great. You're very close to a lot of restaurants, bars, sight seeing spots and public transportation. Overall conveniently located downtown. Friendliness: The guy & girl at reception were really friendly and always said hi. Cleanliness: not the best our bed comforter had stains which looked like blood (pretty nasty) I think if you're the maid and see that you should replace it and management should update the linens they use as well. Nightstands were a bit dusty. I arrived Thursday night and the next day on Friday morning I asked is they could take out the trash and replenish the nespresso pods & creamer. Well I came back later in the day to find that they did not do it. The phone in the room was not working so couldn't call down to reception. The following morning (Saturday) I asked the receptionist to please have the trash taken out , get more coffee pods & creamer. The person who came did take out the trash and left coffee pods and creamer; however they just left it on the TV stand and didn't even replace the dirty mugs with clean ones. It was pretty disappointing, for $150-$170 a night I expected a bit more. Also we were on the 4th floor and the gym
- 4/5
Room was ok for the current year we are in it can be more modern and upgraded other than that the restaurant is very nice and the staff is also very nice the area is very convenient due to a lot of stores being at a walkable distance
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Was able to navigate downtown Portland on foot. plenty of dining options in the area. Hotel was quite nice!
- 5/5
Restaurant breakfast was delicious
- 5/5
The hotel was wonderful but I did not like the neighborhood
- 5/5
This was our first time at this hotel and all tough a little outdated it was perfect. Very nice and welcoming staff from the Valet Parking to the Lobby and Restaurant staff and that helped make our stay pleasant. They gave us free refreshments upon arrival, that was nice. Overall a beautiful hotel in the downtown area.
- 4/5
Restaurant needs more help. Two people is being very cheap and unfair to staff. Get it together. I was in the biz for a lot of years . Don’t be cheap to your staff and don’t make them slaved.
- 5/5
The Dossier's location provided access to much of Portland. Staff was friendly and provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Location seemed very safe. Overall great stay.

Beautiful room and hotel, staff was amazing and pleasant, they even brought up a bottle of sparkling wine for my wife's birthday.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was friendly and informative. Hotel and the room were very clean. Easy street parking near the hotel so I didn’t valet park, but parking personnel was friendly.
- 5/5
One of the better properties in downtown Portland
- 5/5
Cute, comfy room, clean and friendly staff.
- 5/5
I used to stay at this property when it was a Westin. It’s a great location, for example, easy walk to Powell’s Books and to all of downtown. The new owners have made it even better. The staff was friendly and genuinely attentive. I liked everything about my stay and will return.
- 5/5
The only issues I had was the water in the shower wasn't draining well and the tv remote was useless. Other wise, highly recommend.
- 5/5
My family enjoyed our stay in this well kept hotel located in the heart of the city
- 4/5
Solid

There were nothing amenities in the room and also in the lobby such as tea maker, microwave, and even the coffee was by fee. They didn’t give us the welcome drink, and finally they charge us about $67 for amenities which were not available. No toothpaste and toothbrush, in the bathroom. Overall, I don’t recommend that hotel.
- 5/5
The staff at the hotel provided incredible service and attended to our every need.

Very nice hotel. Would recommend. Be aware they only clean rooms on request for shorter stays
- 4/5
The location was good, the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is pubic transportation within 2 blocks and it was very easy to get around the city. We blocked the maid service on Friday and there wasn't any on Saturday.

After a 9-hour drive with my teenagers, we arrived around 9:30 PM. I was surprised by an added fee of $33 “resort fee” — not a tax, just a hotel surcharge. I had already paid $250 via Expedia and assumed that covered most costs other than parking. It felt just deceptive. Then things got worse. The toilet was backed up from the start. Someone came with a plunger and said it was fixed, but later it overflowed. I went back to the desk, but was told maintenance wasn’t available until morning and the hotel was fully booked — so we had to spend the night with sewage on the bathroom floor and no working toilet. In the morning, maintenance showed up unannounced while we were getting ready. He couldn’t fix it either, so we packed up and checked out — still using lobby bathrooms. At checkout, the front desk agent was unaware of the situation. She refunded the $33 fee, but nothing more. Expedia eventually got involved and helped with the refund, which I appreciated — but it shouldn’t have come to that. Mistakes happen, but how you respond matters. In this case, the hotel fell short.
- 5/5
The staff was incredibly friendly, the room was very well maintained and they were helpful when we requested a few extra items! The view from the room was beautiful, and it was in a great location.
- 5/5
Happy to have stayed here last minute. My son enjoyed the area.
- 4/5
Only complaint was the AC didn’t work very well. Temperature in the room was tolerable with AC full blast. Hallways were fairly warm and I would not have wanted to hang out up there. Staff was phenomenal.
- 4/5
Excellent central downtown location. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
Location was convenient to walk to eateries and public transportation
- 5/5
My partner and i stay here around once a year. The staff is always super friendly and now that they have an adapter for non tesla cars it's that much better.

Central location
- 5/5
I really liked this hotel. It was very well maintained, had a friendly and accommodating staff, and a great location in the heart of the downtown area. I especially liked the large bathroom with both a stand-alone shower and a deep-soaking tub. A restaurant/bar next to the lobby added a convenient dining option.
- 5/5
It was really conveniently located downtown to all the places we wanted to go, the price was affordable and the staff were great.
- 5/5
The staff is very professional, courteous and helpful. Shout out to Sophie (or Sophia) at check-in/out and the gentlemen working the bar on Saturday night.
- 5/5
Quick but amazing stay. Bed was plush, shower was amazing, I didnt want to leave.
- 5/5
Staff was exceptional. I appreciated the blend of old world and new world interior design elements. Good walking distance to Major restaurants.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel for the price we paid. The place was very clean, the bed was amazing, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We only stayed for two nights, but we would definitely come back for a longer stay. That said, I do need to point out that the parking cost is quite excessive — charging almost 50% of the nightly rate just for parking feels a bit unreasonable.
- 4/5
Great property. People were nice.
- 5/5
Stellar service, beautiful views from the gorgeous rooms, and we can't wait to celebrate future special family occasions here! Oh, and the breakfast room service was outstanding!

Incredible one night stay for a music festival on the river, we were pleasantly pleased at the accomodations. It was out first time staying here but definitely not the last if we are in town again. Recommended for an overall choice stay situation.

The staff was super friendly as well as the valet. I will definitely stay here again. Dossier staff thank you so much for making my birthday awesome.

Great hotel! We liked the cozy design and the local art. It was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant had great food. The staff was very friendly, and the valet parking was an excellent added service. The location was convenient, but the staff also made it feel very safe, and the rooms were quiet. I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to others!

Friendly, informative and helpful staff, high quality, semi luxurious room, quite spacious and a lot for your money

Great location and wonderful staff. Our room was clean and nicely appointed. The restaurant was nice as well and had no problem letting us play some card games while sipping cocktails before the dinner rush.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay at the Dossier!
- 5/5
Sophie at the front desk was so incredibly helpful and kind.
- 3/5
Shower flooded but the bathtub was great. Bathrobes very scratchy. Beds comfortable though. Staff ok, but valet service could have been much better. Had to wait over 25 minutes for our car on a slow evening. To top it off it’s $60/night for valet parking. Public parking about two blocks away, and some of that area is sketchy.
- 5/5
Great room with views, plenty of light. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Around great location . Great staff and such a comfortable bed .

- 5/5
Great location in downtown! Very accessible to places especially with the free bike rental! Friendly staff with lots of nice places to share
- 5/5
Great location just off SW Broadway, within walking distance and/or Uber ride to most points of interest. The hotel is well maintained, valet parking is convenient, restaurant in lobby great for a meal. Staff are excellent - friendly, professional, and very responsive. I prefer the corner king, upper flow - never disappointed. If you want a view of Mt. Hood, request an upper floor room facing East. Looking forward to my next adventure at the Dossier.

- 5/5
Downtown location was really good and the staff were super friendly
- 5/5
My family enjoyed our stay at this property over a holiday weekend. The room was very comfortable and had good amenities. The staff was exception in responsiveness and service. We found the hotel to be well located from walking, driving, and public transportation POV. There were many popular shopping, dining, and visitor attractions in close proximity to the hotel. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit Portland.
- 5/5
Lovely staff that were very helpful. The communication was excellent and the hotel was very clean and spacious
