Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. The location is convenient, particularly for events at the Moda Center and the Convention Center. However, the hotel's parking situation is a common complaint, with many guests finding the valet parking fees to be too high. Noise and cleanliness issues are also mentioned in some reviews.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Convenient location
- High valet parking fees
- Noise and cleanliness issues

The location was near many fast food restaurants, bus stops and train stops. They charge a large amount of money for parking on site and it's valet only. We had to park off-site to afford to stay there. The breakfast and dinner offered is an additional charge and is also expensive. We had to go somewhere more affordable for our meals. The sofa bed was advertised as sleeping 2 but it was just a twin with one pillow and blanket. One of our kids had to sleep on the couch cushion on the floor with one of my pillows and blanket from the bed.

I wish that the bar had root beer
- 5/5
Easy Check in easy check out parking you have to pay so being a member save your pocket they had room service food was delicious maybe more soap in the room
- 2.5/5
Closeness to the Moda Center and the option for bar and breakfast restaurant I did not see until after booking there is no parking on site unless you pay for valet per night. Also, they charge 50$ per dog on top of the price of the room. Added an extra 100$ to the total. Not mentioned at time of booking, only after I checked in at the hotel

Very good

The wallpapers on the wall are falling off
- 2/5
Exited to use the bar and eat in the dining room, both closed apparently due to it being a holiday weekend ( It’s a hotel, people go there on holiday weekends) . So not happy Will reconsider my options next time
- 4/5
Too many homeless people on the streets asking for food or money.
- 5/5
Always a great place to stay while attending a concert downtown
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
Great experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Only down side was that the ice machine on our floor was out of order. The staff took care of that for me at the bar.
- 5/5
Hotel was great and the staff was really helpful, room was nice and clean!! I recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
It was a great spot!
- 5/5
Clean room and good food
- 3/5
Breakfast buffet is $20 per person and not worth it. The food was not good. Once you get there you have to pay for on site parking $40-50 depending on vehicle size which I was not aware of during the booking process. The hotel is updated and very clean. The rooms are upgraded and were very comfortable.
- 3/5
I thought the rooms were nice and the hidabed was actually comfortable. It said the room had a microwave but it did not it would have been nice to have that. Also the parking was really expensive. But in all it was a nice stay!
- 4/5
Convenient to the Moda center, it’s an easy walk before and after a concert, that’s why we stay here several times a year. It isn’t the cleanest, but the staff is wonderful and really the location makes it very convenient for us.
- 4/5
Parking from my understanding was valet only unless you wanted to park on the side streets. We paid the steep $43.00 for it since we were only there one night.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful with early check-in and friendly throughout. Close to arena for Blazers game.
- 5/5
Front desk staff is always super friendly! Makes the stay enjoyable.

Valet parking is great
- 3/5
This is the first time I've been to a Courtyard Marriot where it was valet parking only and they charged $48. That was ridiculous.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Enjoyed everyone we encountered. Front desk, valet, housekeeping, hostess at BLVD, etc...
- 4.5/5
Very comfortable room and super comfortable mattress. Clean and upscale room. Parking was a bit expensive.

- 3/5
Good location for the Portland Conference center, forced to pay $46 a night for parking, bed was old and very soft.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent from when we walked in to when we left they treated us great. We had someone with a hip replacement and they even tried to find her a cane and also gave her extra time to get around during check out. The person who checked us in was named Tegg* ( I could be spelling this wrong but they are super nice and worked the night shift during our stay) and was AMAZING- we had 34 people checking in unexpectedly due to a layover and then gave no complaints and all smiles. Best stay ever!

Small space, horrible neighborhood, no microwave, and no availability to coffee until 6:30 am. Don't think that you can walk to get coffee in the am - dangerous.
- 4/5
It was a great location near the Moda Center

The staff was very friendly & accommodating. The room was very small. There wasn't enough space for clothing. We had a room with a King Bed, and it wasn't enough space for two ppl. We stayed 5 nights I was literally living out of my suit cases. Then the price I booked for grossly increased because of taxes and fees. Overall, the hotel itself was fair. The sofa had quite a few stains, the smalltrash cans didn't have any bags. I dumped my trash into the big trash can by the elevator, because the small room cans filled rather quickly. Food and Water was grossly overpriced. I went to the grocery store to get those items.

Everything was spot on...
- 5/5
Lovely stay. A bit expensive, but that is due to the event we were there for. Everything was spot on...
- 5/5
Room was perfectly comfortable and very quiet. The staff was always super helpful, very friendly cleaning staff, front desk and especially the valet.
- 5/5

- 5/5
The staff were nice, the food was amazing, and the stay was a whole pleasant vibe!!!
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Staff was amazing.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
The staff was truly excellent! Every single person from valet to housekeeping were so helpful and kind. We are coming back next month solely based upon the staff.
- 3/5
Everything was very average. No pool, feels like getting nickel and dimed, a typical free breakfast at most hotels cost $20 which is wild. Maybe if the whole place had been recently renovated and was extremely nice but still a low price then the nickel and diming could have been justified. But it was extremely average all around.
- 3/5
I did not feel welcome when I checked in or when I sat at the bar to order food from the bartender. I wanted room service but the bartender had me sit there for 20 minutes to wait for my food to bring to my room myself. And the food was not great, especially for the price. I don't think I'd stay here again.
- 5/5
Very clean and great price.
- 4/5
Rooms are nice , close to Moda
- 5/5
Room was super clean and location near the convention center was great
- 5/5
Great area close to moss.. clean rooms
- 4/5
Rooms are clean and staff are friendly. Just unfortunately, the neighborhood didn’t feel very safe
- 4/5
Our room was clean and comfortable, the valet was very friendly and helpful, so was the front desk staff
- 5/5
Staff was excellent especially Jade and Kelly
- 2/5
The place was much lower than courtyard standards. While it was in downtown, the place was deserted by 8pm on weekend, no-one at restaurant or bar. The room was not cleaned up on second day, it didn’t have safe in the room, coffee machine was very cheap, no cups, no laundry bags in room etc. they didn’t have self parking, only valet parking at $43 a night.
- 5/5
Clean
- 2/5
Trash cans didn’t have liners or anything to throw garbage away beds were some what comfortable but after a hour you kind just sunk into them and the noise proofing was not great at all other hotels I’ve stayed at have done way better granted it’s Portland but really if being in a hotel means hearing sirens all night and cars rev bombing I’d rather spend my money else where with better sound proofing and better bedding.
- 5/5
this stay was the best we've had in portland! the room was actually clean! the staff was absolutely helpful and amazing! friendly and conversational! even the Valets were outstanding! we cannot wait tonstay here again!
- 4/5
Everything was what I expected. good stay
- 5/5
The staff were all super friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was a short walk to the convention center. It was just me and my daughter there for a cheerleading competition, and I felt safe both in the hotel and walking to/from the convention center.
- 5/5
The bar tender, Jade, was AWESOME! The food was really good from the inhouse restaurant. The hotel is in a great location to activities and eateries. Very clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Nice clean quiet hotel.. staff was exceptional.. valet was great! Had dinner in the bar area . Exceptional!
- 5/5

- 4/5
It qas fine. The breakfast was a bit expensive
- 3/5
Staff was great, had enough amenities, but our room smelled really bad. It was a wet, musty smell and very strong.
- 5/5
Great rooms. Clean and comfortable. Bed was too soft and the show door didn't stay closed.

Lobby had a broken tile so there was caution tape in the middle of the pathway. Rooms were ok. Bed was not comfortable at all and the yellow lighting was not great for getting ready.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Check in was. A breeze and valet parking was easy to access. There for a concert and easy walk to the Moda Center
- 5/5
The room was clean. Great location.
- 4/5
It's was certainly a nicer place than some other locations in Portland.
- 4/5
Great staff and location!
- 5/5
The hotel and the staff were absolutely amazing. The area was as good as it could be I suppose. The staff was amazing. I can’t stress that enough
- 5/5
Nice quick hotel near the moda center very loud in the morning with the traffic and near a hospital
- 4/5
Everything was great, except that we got the wrong room, we received a single instead of a double. Issue fixed quickly! Also, once in the shower we realized that there wasn’t any body wash!
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable.

The room smelled fresh and was very clean.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff with clean accommodations.
- 5/5
Everything was great! And loved the walkable location to Moda!
- 5/5
I like the fact that it was walking distance from the Moda center. Staff was also very welcoming.
- 5/5
Food was delicious at BLVD Bar and service was quick. You are also within short walking distance to many other food options as well as walking distance to Rose Quarter for concerts or games. Staff was kind, quick to help and make sure your stay is great. Shout out to Joel & Khalid for the Valet parking and always grabbing things if we forgot them. You two are the best!
- 5/5
My room was great! The room was very clean and stocked with the items it is supposed to. The water was good pressure as well as hot enough when I used it. The weather was warm outside so when I came into the room it was already cooled to a comfortable temperature. I was staying by myself for 3 nights. I had 3 sets of linens. Even though they “freshen up” every other day I did not need to. Facility was clean and presentable. The restaurant/bar was good drink and food. The breakfast at 6:30 am was great timing for the conference I was attending.
- 4/5
When we arrived the desk staff was very rude. Daniel had an attitude that we were wasting his time. It was so bad that my coworkers were afraid to ask him for anything. Thankfully the other agent at the desk was extremely friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Great location, accommodating, clean and quiet
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Most staff was oriented to details. Convinient and accessible location.
- 5/5
Gym was decent.
- 5/5
This place was perfect. The staff is exceptional. We'll be back.
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and professional. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are
- 2/5
The property was ok. The room I was in was VERY noisy with street noise. Lots of sirens at all hours of the night. I was astonished that I couldn’t park at the hotel unless I paid almost $50 a day for valet only parking. Street parking was free overnight but it was not a part of town that would be appropriate to leave a car out on the street, hence the valet parking. I was sort of sad that there wasn’t any food available that wasn’t ridiculously priced as well as having a bed that was really uncomfortable. For someone who was just getting sleep at the hotel as I went back and forth to Randall Children’s Hospital, it was probably ok. However, if you have to stay in the hotel for any time at all, I would definitely look elsewhere.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay
- 4/5
Will stay again and again
- 1/5
Noise above me all night, someone dropping something on the floor, couldn't hear the television due to loud sound, and my pillow and blanket had stains on them
- 5/5
It was good
- 4/5
The property would have gotten a five star rating but the parking is $40 per night, which is ridiculous. Everything else was great, including the breakfast. Also, the staff were friendly and professional.
- 3/5
It was just okay...not great, except for the blvd staff they were excellant,
- 5/5
The Bartender Jade was amazing!
- 4/5
Great!
- 5/5
Easy check-in, nice place, close to grab quick food. The valets were awesome about parking!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Great service. Clean and welcoming.
- 3/5
No parking other than valet parking. super sketchy area where break ins appear common. lots of street people around. very limited food options. (only place open after 11 was a run down Denny's that we waiting 15 minutes and were completely ignored. crackheads roaming the streets everywhere
- 5/5
Great hotel for a quick overnight visit in the Portland area. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay, would definitely return
- 4/5
Quick check-in and stay, nice.
- 5/5
Friendly staff , hotel is I. A convenient area
- 5/5
Hotel staff was very friendly and efficient. From the front desk to valet parking staff. Excellent customer Service
- 5/5
The wonderful Staff and How Clean the Hotel is .
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 5/5
Great.
- 4/5
Property is great but the environment is not.
- 3/5
The coffee maker is a joke… over fills and is very messy. Lots of wasted room… the bath sink a wheelchair could not fit properly and use it. I don’t know why they put meni. The ada room, the front desk said it’ll be fine.
- 5/5
It was pretty good
- 2/5
AC/fan won’t turn off, was running all night. It was cold in the room. Overall it was decent. Really closed by to the Moda Center, quick walk.
- 5/5
Extremely friendly staff. A wonderful place to stay if you're seeing a show at the Moda!
- 5/5
It was a great experience
- 3/5
It was ok.
- 5/5
Staff were warm and inviting. Only had breakfast at BLVD but it was excellent and not overpriced. The market store came in clutch for some late night snacks and mid day soda's and beverages; and again items were reasonably priced. Location was convenient to transportation options to get you all over the city and just a short walk to the Rose Quarter area. Overall a great stay with memorable staff!! I look forward to booking this hotel again.
- 5/5
As expected
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
Bathroom shower water leak and fridge noise all the time. No one ask how was my experience when check out
- 5/5
We had a good night stay with our furbaby. Dinner and breakfast was really good. We even got a chance to enjoy the gym. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
I loved it clean and comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the forced valet charges. We parked our car, paid the valet only charge and car was now moved.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
Great location; can walk in any direction to different neighborhoods & options. GIANT rooms & beds--super comfortable. Some street noise, but hallways & interior of the property are well managed & quiet. And the old school NOON checkout is seen & appreciated!
- 2/5
Parking was really expensive for the stay
- 5/5
Good location for watch NBA game
- 5/5
this a nice well kkept property near the moda center we would stay here the next time we are in town for a game or concert
- 5/5
I like how central location it was and so convent . I was very impressed about the security of the guests . The breakfast was totally awesome and the dining for dinner was awesome it was the best burger.
- 4/5
It was great shower a little dirty. Greatest over priced. I won’t stay here again
- 5/5
Close to moda center
- 4/5
The facility was clean and seemed recently renovated, but there is no self-parking and finding parking on the streets is difficult especially with weekend events going on nearby.
- 5/5
No complaints. Everything is great.
- 5/5
Was good experience will definitely stay here again
- 4/5
Might note that you have to pay to park or leave your car on the street. Might of missed this during booking but wasnt happy about the extra $43 to park. Valet was cool though and excellent customer service. Better is better forwarned to this! Otherwise great place to stay!
- 5/5
Very convenient location if you are attending an event at Moda Center.
- 4/5
I come here everytime I go to a concert at Moda center. This hotel is great and very accommodating. I've been coming for over 5yrs and haven't had any issues. Super clean, love the noon check out!! Was able to check in earlier. The staff was very friendly!!
- 5/5
Have to use a valet or pay for street parking. First time I ever used a valet. Was pretty cool, but was $43. 😬
- 5/5
Easy check in. Very kind employees!
- 5/5
Great hotel and customer service! In town for an NBA game and this hotel was less than 1 mile from the arena. Had an amazing experience.
- 4/5
Great location, nice rooms and restaurant they did charge for a lot for parking, even if temporarily there loading and unloading.
- 5/5
Nice stay.
- 5/5
Close to MODA. Nice strong coffee in lobby in the mornings.
- 2/5
Our 2 rooms were clean, but a bit crowded with the large loveseat and ottoman and king size bed. Don't count on sleep; walls are paper thin! All night was awoken by trucks/noisy cars driving by, talking or ringing phones next door, people yelling outside too! Homeless man right outside hotel doors confronted my family (& 8yo granddaughter!) when our dog was urinating in "his grass." NOT SAFE! City allows homeless to camp on sidewalks 1 block from convention center and pretty much do whatever they want. DO NOT STAY IN PORTLAND OR THIS HOTEL. NOT SAFE.
- 2/5
The staff was very nice and responsive. However, there was only one working elevator. The elevator was very slow, and there was no stair access from the lobby to your room. There was no hot water to shower with during our last night. The area surrounding is not very nice. We found needle syringes and trash everywhere. The hotel is pet friendly, but does not provide an area for your dog to go to the bathroom. You are forced to walk in surrounding downtown area just to take your dog to a grass area, which was not very safe or convenient.
- 5/5
Todo muy bien
- 1/5
Cops come through 1-3 in morning outside homeless sweep .Ordered from kitchen veggies were dirty cold. Parking was 43$daily
- 2/5
The cons: Poorly designed rooms: sink and shower were inefficient. The walls paper thin, so it's noisy. It's a high crime neighborhood. The hotel has no security officer on duty and anyone can enter the hotel lobby. The Hyatt nearby requires a hotel keycard to enter the lobby. While we were leaving, a violent and unstable homeless man entered the lobby and attacked the female receptionist on duty.
- 5/5
Great property and staff!
- 5/5
Super nice hotel with such a comfortable bed! We walked back from the Moda center at 10pm and felt perfectly safe. Clean nice area
- 5/5
Our stay was adequate for our needs. Just in town for a basketball game. Perfect location for walking to and from the Moda. I have only one complaint about this stay….the pillows are miserable. Absolute pancakes so I didn’t get a good nights rest. We would stay here again but I’d bring my own pillow.
- 5/5
It was a beautiful hotel
- 3/5
3 star hotel with 4-5 star prices! It was ok, probably won't stay there again. The staff were fantastic, the bed was clean and comfy and the location was perfect for our needs. However the area was super sketch after dark with meth zombies roaming all around constantly, we had intended to walk to a friends nearby hotel but it was absolutely out of the question. The room was dirty especially in high traffic/touch areas- I mean basic room cleaning should include cleaning the very obvious hand print off the bathroom wall etc... and the bathtub had some kind of staining in it. - just not what I expected for a hotel that cost me over $250 USD
- 5/5
Even though we arrived really late were were able to get snacks and water from the market pantry, and order room service the next morning. And the late check out option was great!
- 5/5
Very nice and safe place to stay with the elevator needing to use your room key
- 4/5
The restaurant was super basic. It looked nice but there was barely above continental breakfast level food. And there were no Bloody Marys! They were on the menu and there was no real explanation as to why.
- 5/5
Easy walk to attractions, great stay
- 3/5
Friendly staff.
- 5/5
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well maintained. There was some traffic noise, but nothing obnoxious. Only negatives were that parking options were limited to valet (at $50/day) or parking on the street and feeding the meter every five hours. Ice machine in the hall also seemed to be having issues one night. But would not hesitate to stay there again.
- 5/5
The valet service and hotel staff were friendly and accommodating.
- 4/5
Nice hotel but a lot of unexpected charges like parking. And the bar and restaurant were very expensive. 2 drinks was $45.
- 5/5
Convenient room.
- 5/5
Hotel was walking distance to the modea center . Very comfy, clean , and customer service was great as well.
- 5/5
Staff were awesome!!
- 3/5
This property states its pet friendly, but they have absolutely no area for a pet outside. We have a service animal but they still need to go to the bathroom!! And there was no where near the property to take them, if yhey would put in even a 5 x 5 grass spot it would help, especially if people are paying a $100,00 fee for them
- 5/5
Loved the room great service
- 5/5
The property itself was very clean. The area around it not so much. As far as our room, the toilet would not flush. I called the front desk and they had maintenance respond. They arrived within 5 minutes and fixed the issue so we thought. When we returned to our room that evening the toilet wouldn't flush again. I had to manually turn the dial inside the tank each time to get the tank to fill so it could be flushed.
- 2/5
Parking was terrible. $43 for valet and they close at 11pm… no where to park at 11 at night
- 4/5
The motel and staff were nice. Parking and being able to even get in to check in was a nightmare with all the events and people arriving at the same time. It would have been nice if the website listed that the parking available was valet and would cost almost $50/night.
