Centrally located in Downtown. Nice staff.

Hotel was clean and staff are really nice and helpful. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Nice central location, close to many shops and eateries. We only stayed a couple of nights but very happy with our stay at Courtyard.
- 5/5
Location was great for where I needed to be. Things were clean and functioning. Staff was nice. Security was awesome. Big rooms with lots of furniture. Elevators weren’t great. One would get stuck every time. One didn’t seem to work at all.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
staff was super nice! no pool:(
- 3/5
Room smelled of urine
- 3/5
The best thing about this place was the valet staff - friendly and prompt. Other than that we found the place worn down and not particularly clean. We working stay there again.
- 4/5
Otherwise the room itself was great.
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff. Ice machines not on all floors (even floors). Because in city, valet parking only. A bit high but options outside of hotel (next block over). Walkable location. 1 block over, food trucks (nice options). Couple blocks down, famous independent book store.
- 5/5
No convenient self parking & valet is $52.
- 3/5
Average hotel, very basic with great location
- 5/5
Great staff. Very helpful. It was a pleasant experience.
- 3/5
Corner King room was horrible. One window 5x2 inside dark corner of building. Like a dungeon. Staff would not let me change rooms.

The Courtyard by Marriott Portland City Center is conveniently located nearby many bus and streetcar lines. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the room and amenities are in keeping with a hotel in this tier.

The bed was comfortable. That’s it. Almost everything. Let’s start up at the bathroom/shower. The shower head was leaking, there was no hair conditioner and no body wash. Now, the property had no parking. We had to pay for valet(I didn’t(About $55) “Breakfast” from 0700-1200hrs. Where? I didn’t see it.

Great location for walking around portland. Very clean and staff are amazing. Only real negative is the cost to park your vehicle. Very expensive!!

It’s close to downtown and walkable food locations.

Nice ad clean. Staff was nice
- 3/5
Wifi connection speed was not a speed to do simple tasks on computer. Options to upgrade for a charge but the basic was not good enough.
- 2/5
I am used to a better experience at Marriott properties. The internet didn't work for our entire stay. It took 30 minutes to get into our room to start because the keycard reader didn't work on the door. And the property just felt worn and in need of an upgrade.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing, having the valet parking was wonderful. Clean and comfortable. Will be back!
- 3/5
Room was not ready at appointed check-in time. Woman at front desk was rude and unapologetic. Was told I would get a text when the room was ready. Waited almost an hour and never got notified. Checked with a different person and managed to finally get our room.
- 5/5
The staff were excellent!!! I had a great time staying here. The restaurant that is within the hotel was amazing!!!

Muy buena ubicacion, cerca a todas las lineas del Max, no hay supermercados cerca. Personal amable, habitaciones y baños amplios, modernos y bien decorados.

Good stay for downtown Portland.

Very few breakfast options included. Only one waiter, so wait times were a bit long, but food was satisfactory. Waiter was very personable. We did not receive maid service after our first night. All of the staff, including valets were super polite.
- 4/5
The front desk staff was very kind and welcoming from the time I arrived to the time I left. The hotel was within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the Amtrak train station. Best of all, the nightly rate for my room was surprisingly affordable. I have stayed at the Marriott's other locations in the past, and I plan to do so again when I visit Portland next time. Though it looked like my room had been cleaned, I still found strands of long hair on the bathroom floors and bath tub. Not sure if this were overlooked by the housekeeping staff.

I and a lot of my people paid extra for the full breakfast, there was no breakfast and honored the voucher with an egg sandwich, I asked for oatmeal or a piece of fruit no can do. You have restaurant and don’t use to make you money. Bad business! Bad management! Rooms were spotless. It a shame. No coffee in lobby or urn of coffee , no cups.broken coffee machines and broken hair dryers. So security is good. So if you don’t care about creature comforts, it was clean but don’t expect a courtyard experience and for the price and added breakfast fees, 18 per meal , really I would go somewhere they don’t claim amenities, that they don’t have. The price would have been 200.00 less and I would have no expectations.

- 3/5
Clean room. However, the shampoo and conditioner containers in the shower were empty
- 3/5
Basic hotel, but good location for exploring the city,
- 2.5/5
The was no parking to accommodate my truck. It got broken into over the night and I had to buy a new window also
- 1/5
Upon arrival, the first room we were assigned was clearly not properly cleaned. There were visible toothpaste marks on the mirror, dust on multiple surfaces, a dirty shower door, and a noticeable mark on the TV. A maintenance staff member later confirmed that the TV was damaged, which resulted in us being moved to a different room. However, the second room presented even more concerning issues. In addition to a very poor view, the bed contained a comforter with visible blood stains. I immediately contacted the front desk, and while staff did bring replacement sheets, they did not provide a new comforter, the item that was actually needed. The linens were also left on the floor, and we were expected to make the bed ourselves. At that point, we were exhausted and had no choice but to sleep without a comforter. The following morning, I reported the issue in person to the front desk and was assured that everything would be fully replaced while we were out. Unfortunately, when we returned, we discovered that the same stained comforter had been placed back on the bed, simply flipped over. This was extremely upsetting and unacceptable. I then had to report the issue for a third time, and once again, no meaningful resolution was offered beyond providing replacement linens. The laundry machines were also dirty, so I had to go to a laundromat. At that point, I requested to speak with a manager.

- 5/5
The staff was very kind and went above and beyond to make our stay as wonderful as possible! They were very welcoming every time we arrived and departed the hotel! The rooms are a bit small but with how kind the staff was we would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Great hotel and location. I saw a bald eagle out out of my window one morning I was there!
- 5/5
Great for Downtown
- 5/5
Great service, accommodations, and cool bar attached.
- 5/5
Great location for what we were there for. Clean everyone was nice. I would definitely book this hotel again.
- 5/5
Clean room, very nice staff, very nice valet people!
- 5/5
Just had a quick overnight stay. No problems checking in. My room was very clean and the staff very helpful.
- 5/5
Stayed here before I believe a year and a half ago. Had a very good experience. This time was even better. I try to branch out to other hotels in this area but this one just meets all the marks. Nice clean room. Bathroom with an actual door. Valet service is really good. Front desk very accommodating.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and breakfast was excellent
- 5/5
Very walkable for what I needed. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Xavier and Caleb!
- 5/5
Room and staff are wonderful. Parking is only available by valet which is $75

The rest of the staff was great as well. The hotel was spotless and we enjoyed staying there.

We stay here often, enjoy the hotel and love the staff.
- 5/5
Best costumer service. The room was clean and very elegant. Parking was cheap with valet parking compared to other hotels. Definitely I will stay there again. Best decision ever🙌

Love this property! Close to everything.
- 5/5
Staff friendly. Great location.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Excellent location, honestly had no issues! Great place to stay when visiting Portland!
- 2/5
Bathroom was not the best but rather old and water puddles formed on bathroom floor when someone took a bath There was no microwave in the room but the staff provided us with one when requested. During breakfast they ran out of wheat bread on one of the days. That was a big deal for me since I am a diabetic and I don’t eat white bread. . The staff were friendly however. The bar lady was great.
- 5/5
Great location! Friendly staff and well maintained!
- 5/5
It was a nice experience.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and great staff
- 3/5
Staff was very nice and location was great. Room had an odd smell and after housekeeping it was still there. No conditioner in the shower before or after cleaning. Hotel only has valet parking for $52 per day but valet had car ready to go quickly when asked.
- 5/5
Breakfast at the social was amazing and staff was very helpful and friendly
- 5/5
Breakfast is additional, and there is no pool, but that's on me, since I looked up the wrong Portland Courtyard hotel. The room was good sized, and nicely done.
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 1/5
For the price per night, the hotel was NOT UP TO PAR!!! First night we had no tv channels, second night, the cable was disconnected and someone had to reconnect it and, the smoke detector was covered in plastic and someone had to come uncover it AND the cost of the valet per day was ridiculous. Good thing we found parking on the street every night.
- 4/5
rooms were nice and location was great!
- 5/5
Great location. I was able to walk to the beer garden and downtown area.
- 5/5
Great location! Within walking distance of so many fun things to do. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
Clean room an friendly staff
- 5/5
Nice place for the price.
- 5/5
Central location, staff were super helpful and very courteous. It was nice to have a room downtown for the weekend.
- 5/5
Place was neat and clean. Very conveniently located smack in the downtown area. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Easy accesss to public transportation too.
- 2/5
In my 32 years of life, I have never had another guest try to access my room with a key card that was given from the front desk. Somehow guest services managed to check in, around 4am, another guest with my room number as I was staying at their property this past weekend. My 5-year-old daughter and I were terrified as we thought someone was there to break into our room while we slept. Although my valet parking was waived, I have yet to see a refund for my stay that was discussed with the manager. I will not be staying here again nor recommending this property to my family and/or friends. That is a HUGE safety issue for guests that I feel someone should be held accountable because the system should have shown I was checked in the previous night for the entire weekend.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Amazing spot in Portland! Walking distance to everything, near the heart, and wonderful staff. Recommend.
- 5/5
Amazing location
- 5/5
everything was great
- 4/5
Clean room, helpful staff, close by shopping areas
- 2/5
I fell in shower and sustained severe bruising and extreme pain that limited entire vacation.
- 5/5
The staff were kind and the restaurant had amazing breakfast. The room was beautiful
- 3/5
Our stay was OK at best for how much was put down for the room. Basic amenities and rooms but there’s a considerable amount of noise bleed from the hallway and adjacent rooms. The check-in process was a bit of a nightmare due to their internet going down which made it extremely difficult to get settled/delayed when we could go up (+2 hours from when we arrived). The breakfast voucher doesn’t really make sense in what is and isn’t covered with each day of our stay ranging from $0.44-$20 depending on what you ordered from the adjoining restaurant. It was odd how staff couldn’t provide the breakfast vouchers for all of our days during check-in and required us to keep asking for the missing days. Although we didn’t valet there was a noticeable line and delay for getting the cars retrieved from the garage for other patrons. Not the worse place I’ve stayed but with the consistent inconveniences it makes it very difficult to rate the stay above average for the price.
- 5/5
The room was perfect and cozy! Staff was great with our requests. Right in the middle of everything to walk to.
- 5/5
Shops. Food. Parks. Views all excellent
- 4/5
Rooms clean staff was great no on site parking
- 5/5
Only thing i can complain is the bed it’s too hard not comfortable. but the water pressure i love it! and the staff
- 4/5
Customer service was great, valet was great. Hotel was clean. Even tho my room was clean, it did smell musty or like B.O. loved the walking distance to the food trucks.
- 5/5
The original booked room wasn’t available so we were conveniently rebooked and were extremely satisfied with the accommodation. The staff was amazing about all requests made and very properly cordial.
- 5/5
Great location for us. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff was friendly. We would stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean room, immediate area had a lot of drug issues and homelessness albeit none of them affected us directly and it appeared to be an issue across the downtown Portland!
- 4/5
We only stayed for 2 nights. Very friendly front desk and valet parking staff, they were all wonderful. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because on the last day of our stay, 2 of the 3 elevators were out of service, which caused a long wait line at the lobby. Also, when I was finally able to get on the elevator to head up to my room, the elevator was bouncing up and down and not level. Some people got on but most people ended up taking the stairs. I took the stairs up to my room on the 14th floor.
- 4/5
All of the above. Staff were wonderful! Not a fan of the valet parking though understand why.... but they were flexible about it.
- 3/5
The staff was amazing and really helpful. Unfortunately the issue started with only one elevator working 95% of my stay and I was on the 16th floor. Checkout time was quite chaotic. Then my shower water would slow down immensely when I was in for more than five minutes. Lastly the water at one point stopped completely and then came back on spewing brown water from the faucet while I was brushing my teeth. That was last morning there and was grateful. This hotel wouldn’t be my first choice when traveling to Portland again.
- 2/5
The hotel itself was good, other than having some low supplies in our rooms. The main concern was that both our cars that we parked down the block had the windows busted. I guess according to the workers this is a common occurrence. It just would have been nice to know ahead of time.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and welcoming, room was clean with an excellent view of the city

Thank you 😊😁

When I first arrived the employee was no where to be found and there was a long line of people waiting to check in, the bar manager had to come over and help us to the best of her ability and offered everyone complimentary wine while we all had to wait. I left and came back a few minutes later and there was finally an employee, he had earbuds in and was not helpful in the slightest. When checking in he gave me no information and charged me an amount higher than what my original booking was supposed to be without any additional information as to why the charge was so high. No information about amenities or check out times. One of the elevators was broken and there was about a 6 person line to even get onto one. After bringing my bags upstairs I went back down (after waiting forever for an elevator down) to go pay for valet since there was also no information about parking. When I spoke to the valet employee he told me they were full and I would have to park somewhere else and walk after I had asked to be charged for parking. When I asked about a refund he told me to speak to the front desk employee, after catching him in passing he told me he had no idea how to do that and I’d have to speak to a manager at some point. Luckily a young man working valet gave me a parking pass for free parking at a nearby garage, after my experience here I will never be coming back, and I’d advise other people to avoid this place.
- 1/5
ZERO STARS for the rest of our stay. The homeless outside scream and cause chaos all night long- which you can clearly hear! It’s absolutely awful. No security outside at all. The other guests near our corner king room were in and out all night, slamming the doors constantly! In the morning there was no coffee available, the front desk attendant went and retrieved another carafe and it too was empty. With no other options. The valet was unorganized and poorly ran. My vehicle was oversized for their garage- which we were not notified that this is an issue. We ubered back from dinner at 9pm and we pulled up onto two individuals we’re looking through my vehicle glovebox, while still parked on the street. He said he was looking for my contact information to let me know that they couldn’t fit my vehicle into their parking lot and that I needed to move to a unsecured location and pay a fee to that lot through a kiosk. I asked if my vehicle could just remain at the hotel entrance and he stated No, because it would get vandalized! I was beside myself. This hotel charges a lot for a room and offers no security or reasonable options. Do not stay here, the room is clean but the remainder of your stay won’t be worth it! We will not return to any Courtyard or Marriott EVER. Super ghetto like Super 8!

Nice room, good location
- 5/5
although it is near the old town, it is in a safe location. it has a walkable distance to downtown and a coupld of public transport stops. It has a refridgerator inside the room and a microwave in the lobby.
- 2/5
No true amenities in the room -- no access to snack or breakfast items, except as part of a full restaurant meal, no microwave, few towels, inconsistent room temperature control, filthy bathroom (long black hair on toilet and in shower, even after maids had cleaned).

Super clean, updated room and kind prompt staff.

Good
- 5/5
The staff was great, very friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
The staff was definitely kind. The room was beautiful and any bed was very comfortable. The glasses in the room had lip prints on them, the coffee was not replace, couldn’t connect to the WiFi and I was told on Sunday the restaurant/bar was closed for a private event and would open at 4pm and it closed at 4:01pm. The parking was extremely expensive, so I had to park two ahead just to pay $28 for overnight parking.
- 5/5

- 2/5
Underwhelming stay especially for the price but good location. Room had an odd smell. Valet parking is $50 overnight so prep for that. Staff was nice.
- 4/5
Comfortable bed and spacious room. But decent street noise level that might would have kept some people up. Good fitness center.
- 1/5
the room was filthy. the carpet, furniture, and curtains needed to either be replaced or steam cleaned because it smells musky. i should’ve been aware because the lobby/common areas were not very well kept. overall it doesn’t appear taken care of.
- 1/5
Toilet were not cleaned of my room for 7 days and they have only changed my bedsheet one time in 7 days but dust still remain on the bed. i had deposited 1200 USD at the time of check in is not credited back to me after check out, 955 USD waiting to be credited back to my account.
- 4/5
The room was ok. Hard to find and close the utility room

Great place. Thank you

Room is clean. Wifi on the 15th floor is not always reliable. Tried to use the wired ethernet instead, but could not get that working, either..
- 5/5
Front desk staff was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I forgot toothpaste and lotion and they had some travel ones which was nice. I would stay here again if I'm ever in Portland. Room was clean. Gym was solid.

We had reserved the room for four people however the room didn’t even have four towels or four creamers for a coffee. We had to call help desk to get microwave.
- 3/5
Front office staff needs energy. They looked tired and don’t smile a lot.
- 5/5
My partner and I booked a weekend trip to Portland having never been and our expectations were absolutely exceeded. Valet was very kind and speedy with their service! Our room was very clean and cozy as well. Loved the location and would definitely recommend staying here if you're in town!

Room was clean but staff was unprofessional and acted as if they were hanging out at a friend’s house, not at work. Location was centralized but was in the middle am area that definitely needed door security.
- 5/5
Rooms were great!
- 4/5
Overall, this was a very comfortable property. Everything was available including a restaurant to eat breakfast in. Staff was congenial and valet service was excellent. The only complaint I have was that the elevator smelled like marijuana most of the time. I guess that is prevalent in Portland, but it wasn’t something we enjoyed.
- 5/5
Great location, walk to city center
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Clean room, staff, amenities
- 5/5
Everything about this place was great
- 5/5
great location, clean room, courteous front desk staff
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 5/5
Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming and the housekeepers did an amazing job at making sure my room was spotless!
- 4/5
Valet boys are excellence and very capable and kind
- 5/5
great place in downtown area near trimet train.
- 4/5
Staff was very courteous and provided great recommendations for food. Room was clean and spacious, but ugly view. Loved the Halloween decorations and Pac Man in the lobby.
- 5/5
Room needed better vacuuming but other than that everything is good.
- 3/5
the room was okay, looks decent with how clean it is, however we did find trash under the bed, we arrived late like 12am I checked in online got there and my room key didn’t work I went downstairs twice with this issue they then moved me to a different room finally it worked the next day we left in the morning and came back in the afternoon the room key didn’t work so same issue like the night before so that was very inconvenience, there wasn’t a microwave so it was a little annoying having to go down to the lobby to heat up food but other then that it was a decent stay the staff was nice
- 5/5
good
- 5/5
Staff was very accommodating and welcoming. Room size was excellent!
- 1/5
Coffee maker had a used moist filter still in it. Hasn't been cleaned. Found what appeared to be rat droppings in the sheets. Chips in flooring, caulking moldy, discolored and peeling
- 1/5
My main issue is that’s it’s ADVERTISED AS A FULL SERVICE HOTEL and it is DEFINITELY NOT!! THERE IS NO BELL HOP. So if you want to SHLUMP YOUR OWN BAGS UP AND DOWN then listen to the LIES ON EXPEDIA and ALL OVER THE HOTEL. There’s no ROOM SERVICE. The Diner has excellent food but terrible hours. Except for when I ordered fish and chips and ONLY GOT FISH FOR 22$. The customer service was good I guess but let’s face it they go to college to work in a hotel and so they need to know how to make someone happy. I stayed 3 nights and the rooms were not nearly as nice as on line- they were old, not that clean, and just OK. Not worth the $. I will be complaining. THEY TOOK $ day of arrival. Though advertised as in last day, they took WAY MORE THEN ON RECEIPT. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL. Expedia needs to help, contract is with them. RECEIPT ON EXPEDIA IS FOR 515$ is 52$ a day for parking VALETS ARE OVERWHELMED!! But ok… BUT THEY CHARGED $740 explain please … no mini bar in rooms and no extras on bill!!!! SCAM NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR A MARIOTT BONVOY MEMBER!! I am NEVER RETURNING TO POSSIBLY ANOTHER MARIOTT AND THEY WILL HEAR OF THIS
- 5/5
All the staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and tidy when we arrived with extra towels.
- 5/5
Amazing staff! Loved the valet service
- 5/5
Business friendly
- 5/5
Great place, friendly staff, would recommend to friends and family
- 5/5
Wonderful stay: quiet, centrally located and super friendly staff. Breakfast was terrific!
- 4/5
Staff was great the rooms were cleaned and overall had a pretty good experience.
- 5/5
Great time
- 5/5
Overall amazing stay & service. Wish there was more communication among the staff about billing options. I had to leave a staging deposit even though I did prior to my Expedia travel package. Just to later be informed I didn’t need to leave a stay in deposit. I hope this gets resolved as I would wish to come back and hope I get my deposit reimbursed. Overall thank you for the great hospitality.
- 4/5
Had a few issues but the staff took care of them right away. They are very friendly
- 5/5
The room was very clean as was the bathroom. Nice tv selection and beds and pillows were super comfortable. The restaurant food was very tasty. The staff were all super nice. Over all a very enjoyable stay!
- 5/5
Front desk was amazing
- 2/5
Parking option was only valet and the room was not super clean
- 4/5
Good location for my needs in the city. Good access for everywher i needed to go.
- 5/5
Nice place located in the City center...
- 5/5
My second time at this property and it is now my go-to hotel for Portland trips. Great staff, warm, welcoming, actually seem to care! FABULOUS that you can get food at10pm on weekends! Good food, too. This is the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in in a city. A staff member mentioned the building may have been a bank at one time, hence, thick walls! Comfy beds, a really good value. LOVE this place!
- 5/5
I had a great stay. The staff was very friendly and the area was nice. Everything was walkable
- 4/5
Refrigerator made noise had to unplug at 3am. Room was poorly designed with head of bed near door. Lot’s of noise as crappy room next to elevator
- 4/5
Friendly staff, walkable but homeless around the area
- 4/5
No breakfast included, walkable, and homeless around area
- 4/5
Easy walk to many downtown areas of interest.
- 5/5
Great hotel, but even better staff.
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable and served the purpose of a 1 night stay in Dwtn. Portland.
- 5/5
We love staying here every time we are in Portland!
- 5/5
Though the 2 lines looked long for check in, staff were fast, friendly and efficient! Our room was very clean, and bed was very comfy. Didnt use the $52/night parking. Instead, we paid $14 for parking that was about a 10 min walk away. Other than the ridiculous price for parking, our stay was fabulous and we'd book here again.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Usually a satisfying and nice clean stay when we are here, this was suprising. Housekeeping and inspectors need to be a little more meticulous and time allowed to scrutinize the room with flashlights. Dirty carpet around the edges of room, bed especially having crumbs underneath. Dirty bathtub, hairs in tub and on floor. Some areas in need of dusting but otherwise a nice stay. Coffee carafe in lobby ran out fast, thankyou to staff for offering to grab us to-go cups from restaurant right away. Great valet service.
- 1/5
We stayed in a room that smelled. I was concerned leaving my car all night.
- 5/5
Everything about my stay was excellent.
- 3/5
The first room we we given smelled like cat pee. We told the front desk and they do move us to another room. However that room also smelled bad (not as bad) and was pretty run down (broken tiles in the shower, carpet not great etc.
- 4/5
No pool or hot tub was kind of a disappointment. Parking was horrible. Room was clean and staff were pleasant.
- 4/5
Be aware of the $52 a day parking fee. Nice hotel but a lot of homeless around. Staff was nice.
- 4/5
Parking is impossible. Or valet parking is almost as expensive as the room itself. Driving in Portland is like trying to find the toilet in the dark. It’s a mess. Over all the hotel is very nice and has dining on the property. I would stay again but take a helicopter instead of drive.
- 3/5
Check in was quick and efficient, but we did not receive any information about the property. The valets were friendly and helpful, quickly parking or retrieving our vehicle each day. Couldn’t get the elevator to work; we weren’t told to use our room key for access. Bathroom fan and second light didn’t work. On of the lights in the room also wouldn’t turn on. Front desk simply said they would let someone know. We chose this hotel due to the location and dining/room service availability. Tried to go to the adjoining restaurant at 930pm, we were turned away (signs and website said they closed at 10). The next day we returned to the hotel after being out all day and tried to order dinner, the website said restaurant closed. When we went back downstairs to the restaurant there was a sign saying they were closed for an event and to ‘come back later.’ Overall there were several disappointments during our stay. We will likely choose somewhere else next time we’re in town.
- 3/5
My daughter was afraid to take the elevator because it was shaking when you rode it either up or down. The valet parking was overpriced at $52 per night. We will not return.
- 5/5
Great space and price for a short stay
- 5/5
Great price and location. Walkable distance to the shopping place
- 4/5
Clean room, helpful staff, good central location
- 3/5
Made reservations for two queens and got a king. No cleaning of the room in three days.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the TV channels selection was very good, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to everything, a few blocks away from the River Walk, surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants and public transportation!
- 1/5
When i book a hotel I expect it to be able to park my vehicle. Not the case. Wont stay at that hotel again.
- 5/5
Nice view and bathroom was very nice.
- 5/5
Loved the room.
- 5/5
clean room, helpful staff
- 4/5
Bed and room were nice and it was helpful to have water and coffee in the lobby. Gym is somewhat basic. Good overall stay though.
- 2/5
The only highlight of this facility was the wonderful clerk Caleb. He was the only bright spot of our stay other than the Powerwolf concert we were in town to see. The hotel was slightly cleaner than the filthy downtown Portland where drugged out homeless filled the streets and the entire place smelled like urine. I’m still trying to get the smell out of my nose.
- 3/5
The staff were fantastic, however they were the only thing at this hotel that was any good, The rooms were a little dingy and some of the dishes in the resturant were not washed completely. We found lipstick on one of the coffee mugs we were served, it was pretty disgusting.
- 4/5
Home to see family in PDX in June Marriott was well placed — good staff — had a chilled stay.
- 5/5
Rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
- 5/5
Great location, clean room
- 5/5
It was really close walking distance to the event I was going for. Not the best location in terms of the outdoors, but it's quiet inside.
- 5/5
I appreciate the clean room and quiet environment.
- 5/5
Great shops and a variety of restaurants were just a very short distance from the hotel.
- 5/5
Centrally located.
- 5/5
A really great convenient place to stay! Room was comfortable and the hotel is in a ideal location, central to most amenities.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff and within walking distance to many downtown attractions and restaurants
- 5/5
I would definitely come back thank you to all the staff y’all were awesome.
- 5/5
I enjoyed having walkable food options.
- 4/5
The location is good, because you can walk around the Downtown area. And also public transportation is right there. So you can save money from renting a car or taking Uber or Lyft
- 5/5
Staff was very kind and helpful from checkin to checkout. Very walkable which I loved!!
- 5/5
This was an overall really good experience. My only quibble is that the coffee in the room and even in the lobby was not what one might expect in a city famous for great coffee.
- 5/5
From check-in to check-out, the staff went above and beyond. Everyone was attentive, kind, and professional. The training team was knowledgeable and helpful, and the valet staff made a lasting impression—they were quick, efficient, and very informative. The turnaround time for everything was fast, which made our trip smooth and stress-free. We really felt cared for as a family, not just as individual guests. A big thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning. Thank you "Don-Rocco"
- 5/5
The man who checked us in was very pleasant and kind.
- 5/5
Love the hotel
- 3/5
Surprised. Bathroom was dirty. Room was sort off ok but didn’t disclose that window was facing a wall
- 5/5
Nice and kind staff
- 5/5
Great location downtown near a lot of places to shop and eat walking distances. Very convenient. Thank you.
- 2/5
last minute rush
- 5/5
Clean, convenient, valet parking $52!
- 5/5
From the moment my partner and I entered the hotel, the staff greeted us with friendly demeanor. This made us feel immediately comfortable and at ease throughout our five-day stay. Although we encountered a minor issue with an amenity, it was resolved right away, ensuring a seamless experience. Overall, we had an exceptional stay and would highly recommend this hotel!
- 4/5
A solid option for an affordable stay. Room was a decent size and was great to have a mini fridge. The location is super close to transit and very walkable, with a food pod/cluster of great food trucks right nearby. The staff rocked - kind, chatty, and very helpful!
- 4/5
The staff were friendly, room was good. I did get a small piece of glass in my foot from the room carpet, left a couple of drops of blood on the bathroom floor. Beds were comfortable. I asked for a room away from elevators and employee only supply rooms. I was away from an elevator, but right next-door to the staff room lol. Luckily, it was still pretty quiet. Overall, good stay.
- 3/5
I was told they had an airport shuttle that was a lie
- 5/5
I appreciate the cleaning staff, front desk staff, and valet staff. Very friendly and welcoming!
- 5/5
Everything was easy to walk to. The outdoor eating area next door had a great selection.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
It was close to the event venue in which we attended
- 5/5
nice room
- 4/5
Great
- 3/5
The space was clean. I was unaware that I needed key for the elevator (no sign or comment from staff). The room did not have conditioner in the dispenser. Across the street from the hotel there were homeless people sleeping on the street and the garbage left behind from them.
- 4/5
The hotel is still at good location and walkable even though we don’t want to walk around at evening and night
- 5/5
Room was clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed the beer garden beside the hotel too.
- 5/5
Welcoming staff and convenient location. Our room was really nice. Will stay again.
- 4/5
Overall a nice property, staff are fine, overpriced bar/lounge.
- 5/5
I am an elderly handicapped woman. Staff was outstanding, valet attendants were amazing and well worth the cost of parking and tips. Ada accommodations were above average. I will book here again.
- 5/5
Fair price for quiet, comfortable and well-appointed rooms, good (if a bit pricey) dining on-site, and helpful main lobby staff who arranged to store our luggage for a few hours after we checked out (so we could explore the city before leaving town). Also appreciated being able to walk a few short blocks to the light rail line that goes directly to the airport.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet room Excellent central location for shops, restaurants and attractions.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Great!
- 4/5
Good hotel. Nice room: quiet.
- 3/5
I was disappointed with the overall condition of the hotel. The “dining” was very limited in times and menu options, poor service and no lobby restrooms unless the restaurant was open!
- 5/5
Caleb was awesome!
- 4/5
The staff were nice. The property does have a restaurant connected to the hotel but I didn’t eat there during my stay. The location is in a prime pic you are in downtown Portland so you are nearby a lot of great spots and most are within walking distance (or you can conveniently take public transportation). However, if you have a car, be prepared to find parking nearby b/c valet is very pricey. Also, do be aware that this area has quite a few unhoused people. But more so on the hotel, it did have a unique smell in the halls and in our room that I did not like.
- 5/5
Great stay?
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
It was nice that the metro was close to the property, everything was closed pretty early that was inconvenient, But getting a ride share was cheap and easy to go out of the city. The employees were really nice and welcoming.
- 5/5
Great stay!

- 5/5

- 5/5
Great location clean and nice lounge for drinks and eats excellent service
- 5/5
Great place and very spacious
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Great staff and support!
- 4/5
Downtown is dirty due to homeless. The hotel itself is very convenient and clean.
- 5/5
Great stay for Rose City Comic Con!
- 5/5
Very clean room. Walkable to all the great coffee shops. Valet was always quick. A great stay over all.
- 3/5
ok experience.
- 1/5
Shower curtain was broken. Everything was dirty and stained.
- 5/5
Restaurant was closed because they had no server
- 5/5
Great hotel in the heart of downtown. So many food options around.
- 3/5
Tons of homeless so be careful when you walk down the street at night
- 5/5
It was a great and very convenient place to stay!
- 1/5
Hair on shower wall. Not enough creamers for coffee. No stirring sticks. No upgsre. Np free breakfast. Would not pick up phone on Friday at 6pm. General Marriott number told me 17 for parking but ended up being 52.
- 2/5
Bathroom not so clean, no complementary water bottles , used tissues in washroom
- 5/5
Love the clean rooms, the quietness of the hotel and the staff
- 3/5
The hotel is not in Avery good part of town. Many of the shops and stores around are boarded up. One street over is a homeless area. People sleeping on sidewalks and in tents on sidewalks. Walking outside the door of hotel confronts you with repugnant odours.
- 5/5
It was a nice hotel, lots of food and shopping nearby. Easy to get to places in the area and convenient. Safe and clean. Nice staff.
- 5/5
Staff was good.
- 5/5
Clean room n great staff!
- 5/5
Great location. Close to everything. Room clean and great Temperature. Quiet hotel no issues at all. Valet was awesome. Staff amazing.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, wish the bar was open later, other than that, good stay
- 4/5
Hotel was really nice, staff very helpful, parking is bad
- 5/5
Awesome stay great staff
- 4/5
Clean, well-located, and the staff was top-notch. I would stay here again.
- 4/5
The rooms are decent. Moatly clean. Relatively comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean room and very quiet
- 4/5
Stayed only 1 night so had limited experience. Hotel and room very clean. Bed was comfy. Staff was friendly and answered our questions about points of interest. But location of hotel not ideal with one way streets and limited walkable eateries.
- 3/5
On the downside, I did notice that the walls were quite thin, making it hard to sleep with noise from the hallway and the Wi-Fi was spotty. Overall, it was a decent stay—fine for a short trip, but I’m not sure I’d choose it again.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay here. The room was large and clean. I don’t know the area well but I felt like I was able to access everything easily. The bed was comfortable and shower was good. Mostly, I appreciated the staff. Everyone I encountered was nice; often opened the door for me to the lobby, gave recommendations for things I asked for what to do & where to eat. Check in and out was very easy. Felt safe in the area as well.
- 5/5
Very nice and helpful staff
- 3/5
I like how its have privacy, no noise. But the problem that they need to improve is housekeeping (clearly did not change the bed sheet when I ask them to. I saw all the hairs in the sheet.) love the valet service, not a fan with the price tho.
- 5/5
It's in a very convenient location to visit other areas around town.
- 5/5
The hotel was close to downtown center and convenient public transportation
- 4/5
Definitely consider hiring more staff for the social spoon.
- 1/5
We booked our trip over a month in advance on 7/6 for a two night stay. Arrived in Portland around 11:30PM after a five hour travel on 8/31 (we left in the special instructions we would be arriving late) after waiting in the check in line for approximately 40 minutes we we were told there were no rooms available (the people in front of us in line were sold an “available room” cause of a reservation mix up we are convinced this was our room. After asking if this was the case the woman at the front desk did not give us a straight answer and said it was a “computer glitch” We were told to visit a sister property and we could stay there instead. The stay was paid for us for inconvenience but I would like to express how frustrating and scary this is to travel out of state at night and be told upon arrival our reservation was no longer available. Imagine if there wasn’t a sister property to fall back on we would have been stranded for 2 days. However the sister property the Bidwell a couple blocks away was amazing and took great care of us my review is specifically for the original location that sold our room out from under us. 100% will be staying at the bidwell again. I suggest figuring out your online system and verifying rooms are available before selling them especially when people are traveling from out of state.
