Broadway Inn

Picked this place to stay since it really close to Moda Center so ideal when going to see a show there. Easily able to walk to Moda Center and close to transit. A reasonably priced hotel considering the location. The property is old and things appear to be falling apart. The towels provided weren't fully clean.

The bed was super comfortable and the ac worked very well. The tv only played in Spanish and wouldnt let us change the language. The towels and bed sheets had what looked like small blood stains. Bed comforter had cigarette burns, which was odd for it being a non smoking room. Hot water did not work at all at the bathroom sink. The floor had many soft spots, to the point I thought I was going to fall through the floor. And the wifi kept disconnecting us from our laptop. Overall, not a great experience.

I usually love staying here but this stay was frustrating. Amenities say we should have at least a mini fridge but none. My pillow cases and top blanket had something on it that was questionable if it had been cleaned. Thankfully I was prepared with my own blanket and pillow. Also someone left used rubber gloves by the TV and left broken pieces of something like a door stopper also on the stand where the TV sat.

Nothing Had a infestation of bugs either like moths or fruit flys was disgusting , the floor was wet and sticky , the bathroom sick didn’t wanna drain , the shower also didn’t wanna drain , over all I would give it 0 stars but there was not no option for that the ac also doesn’t work . The chair by the tv an arm was broken The tv remote was sticky and gross too and there was like drip stains on the wall tried to tell the front desk person they didn’t apologize or anything just say ok

The pictures online are way outdated... I got there, prepaid online, checked in, and they charge $20 a day to park in the small hotel! Get in the room, open the curtains and they fall on the floor! Tv cable didn't work, mini fridge didn't work..hair in the bathroom sink!! I complained 3 times...the last time I demanded a different room. They gave me a different room, same layout, king size bed, but this room was Super clean, everything worked and there were even fresh flowers in the room!?!? An hour later I'm looking out the window, and see them rent out the room I just complained about and left! To a black couple... Then around 5pm, they put up a magnetic sign that says, $25 parking. They were charging people to park there that weren't staying there... GHETTO HOTEL.. NEVER AGAIN!!

It had very centered location. That's all I didn't like that my fir extinguisher was shoved under the mattress. And went off in the middle of the night for no gahdamn reason.... Also the blood on the sheets on the bed. And ash on the blankets . Along with incense sticks sticking out of the walls where the smoke stained the walls and there was a missing fire extinguisher. And the pubic hair in the shower. Covering the drain. And the pillow shoved behind the TV. It was clearly not cleaned. Nor even seeen by their eyes after previous renters ...making it very unappealing. Also was given serious attitude when I asked for an towel when there weren't any ... Never again. The bloody sheets was disgusting.

Horrible. Really bad location, witnessed a drug deal happen right in front of my room door. There are hidden cost such as a parking fee and the owners seem shady. Room was fine but very little offered for the cost. Didn't seem too dirty but also wasn't clean. Felt unsafe and left early, did not even stay the night

Overall, I did not feel very safe at this hotel. The room itself was very basic. The bed was not fancy, but it was comfortable for the night. There was a corner of the room banged up to the point you saw the metal/wire where the plaster had broken away. The sink in the bathroom was slow draining. The TV worked well, and the refrigerator. I did not try the air conditioning unit. The one positive of this hotel is its location to the Coliseum and the Rose Garden which is basically across the street. That was the reason I picked this hotel for our stay. I definitely won't be staying here again. I would pay a little more to feel safe

Just the escape I needed for the night. Wish there'd been a microwave in the room but overall it was clean and the staff was kind and efficient. Good experience.

i had very bad experience in this hotel. I forget my airpods pro at hotel. Owner never return to me back my earphones.

It was so disgusting that I didn’t stay and I got a different hotel. I was also checked in by a child that couldn’t be any older than 10. Very disappointed. I do not recommend. The rooms look like they have been broken into, the tub was rotting, the room was dark and dingy and had a horrible smell. I couldn’t leave fast enough.

Check in was the fastest I’ve ever had. They were very organized and well put together. Room was actually in perfect shape better than I thought it would be.

I brought frozen food thinking there was a microwave, there was not. So I put my food in the refrigerator/freezer provided in the room. I sent to pull my food out before check out and found the refrigerator did not work. It was plugged in but did not function I lost $25 worth of food. Also there was loud people in the parking lot throughout the night.

I mean for the price and closeness to the Moda center. This was a good place.

In room 107 there is something biting people. Both times I’ve stayed there my wife and I were bit up and left with marks all over our body. Itchy. Uncomfortable. And no trash cans anywhere to clean your room. Other than that it was great.

Throughout my stay, this woman repeatedly stared at me in an intense, judgmental manner whenever I was visible, during check-in, when I entered or exited my room, when I had a guest briefly visit, and even when maintenance came to address a toilet issue. On one occasion, she stopped walking entirely and stared us down as we entered my room, which made both me and my guest extremely uncomfortable. This was not subtle or accidental. It was prolonged, deliberate staring that felt intimidating and unwelcoming, as if we were being monitored or suspected of wrongdoing despite doing nothing wrong. On the morning of checkout, she called my room at 10:35 a.m. to say, “It’s 10:35, you’re supposed to check out at 11,” then hung up abruptly without explanation. I was fully aware of the checkout time. The call felt unnecessary, aggressive, and like an attempt to rush me out rather than provide service. I want to be clear that this behavior was not a one-time incident. I experienced the same treatment from this same woman during a previous stay in October. This establishes a pattern of conduct that should concern management and future guests. Travelers, especially those from urban backgrounds or anyone sensitive to being unfairly scrutinized, should be aware that this is this.

The front desk was unwelcoming. Even it was 3:40pm, the door was locked and we were helped through a security window. He let us in to fill in our address in his IPad. The first room was not even given as we ordered (two queen beds). Then we were switched to 2 king beds. But the condition of the second room was unhygienic with pee stains on the toilet, unknown residues on the chair, and body hair and long hair on the pillow/bed. We contacted Expedia customer service and left due to this. As per Expedia agent, they could not get replies to this property manager as well and needed their confirmation to process refund.We did not get back our parking fee which was 10 dollars. The location itself is convenient. We saw lots of people going to the arena/sports center cross the street when we left.

Clean rooms all the time not a lot of traffic the only thing I had a issue wit is the tv in the rooms don’t work for some reason and I’ve stayed there multiple times never once have been able to watch anything

The room was clean and comfortable. The smoke alarm was removed from the wall. They make you pay for parking which I don’t think they should charge their guests for parking. They charge $10 for each car if you pay at the hotel and $12 if you pay online.

It was very loud and we were lied to over the phone and told there was a microwave, so I brought food. Once there we were told there isn’t a microwave, so all my food went to waste and I was forced to eat out. Also was not told that they charge to park your car at the hotel even when paying to stay there. Awful hotel and terrible customer service

My room reeked of cigarettes and had cigarette ash on the floor, the drawer under the tv had burnt tinfoil in it clearly used to smoke some sort of drug. My door also wouldn’t lock because the previous guest had taped a card over it to keep it from latching. There was also a hole in the floor that was covered with carpet. You also have to pay $10 to park at the motel.

To my knowledge, this inn has enough of what one can need. If your are on a low budget, the rooms offer the basics, where you can sleep kind of well at night. The area is not great and many things could stand to be updated/replaced. Stay for 1 night. No more.

This was without question the worst motel experience we have ever had. We booked for two nights but couldn’t even bring ourselves to stay the first night. We ended up sleeping elsewhere and only came back the next day to collect our things The first and most shocking thing we found was a knife/switchblade under one of the beds. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, they didn’t appear shocked in the slightest. Along with that, there was a stack of cardboard boxes and other garbage under both beds, including socks, bottles, and even old french fries. Also a rubber duck. The state of cleanliness was beyond unacceptable. I wish we could upload pictures with this review. The bathroom was no better. There were short dark hairs left on the counter, and when we pointed this out, the front desk lady yelled at the cleaning lady to come in and take care of it. She came with a bottle of Lysol spray and wiped the hairs away, then started cleaning the inside of the toilet (which we hadn’t complained about — probably for the best that we didn’t see why she felt the need to do that). The bathroom door was covered in patched-up holes and damages, the counter had burn marks, the bathtub was rusty, and the shower head looked concerning. Even the pillowcases were stained, and when we showed staff, they told us, “those are just stains, they don’t come out.” Although they did bring us a new pillow case. They charge for parking and did not advertise that. The carpets were extremely stained and gross. The tub was full of rust and clogged. The phone didn’t work. The cable tv didn’t work. Extremely skitchy neighborhood. Loud neighbors all night partying. Do not recommend!!!

I picked this hotel as it was a very low price and close to Moda Center. I was surprised how many good reviews it had on Expedia for a low price. However it was rather misleading. The location was ideal for me being close to the event I was attending and easy to walk to food places. However the hotel itself is in very poor condition. The lights weren't very bright making it hard to see around the bedroom area. The bathroom lights kept flickering. The bathroom itself wasn't clean. The wifi was very unreliable, kept disconnecting. The tv would only show 1 channel.

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The owner's wife, who was working the front desk, was extremely rude to me for no reason. She informed me that I couldn't make any messes in the room when i leave and insisted that I had to clean my own room and make my bed, or I would be charged extra? But the worst was when she rang my room upon checkout time the next morning to “remind me” of the 11am checkout time and when I tried to explain to her that I was extending my stay an additional night she proceeded to get loud with me and repeat the same checkout time… so after I was doing my stay through here existing reservation I proceeded to go down and update the key card and the front desk person(who at the time was the wife) tried to gaslight me into thinking that I was unable to extend my stay online and that I would have to pay extra in person right there but luckily I came with receipts and didn’t get double charged… Thank God. This level of service was not only unprofessional and rude, but was unexpected as I have stayed here and interacted with the husband who was generally an unexpected as I have stayed here and interacted with the husband (who was generally a polite and respectful) it just left a negative impression on my visit.

After one night my daughter wanted to stay in the same motel from her other original place and the owner are so kind and got another extra room with the same price as my first room which is very important to treat customers as honest way. The motel runs by private owner and the family is very humble and already ready to offer assistance when a matter may occur. I see some staffs in and out cleaning the rooms and all seems very nice and energetic and greeted to me. This is very important to me that they care about what they do. I will be back again in future and thank you so much for your hospitality.

There were no hangers to hang up clothes. The stopper in the bathroom sink was missing. There should have had a light on the large table so one could see things on the table.

I have stayed here twice first time was ok with exception of male office employee trying to take my DoorDash I caught him with it and I took it from him and proved it was mine. This time it was delivered with proof of photo I went to get it from office as he did not deliver it to my door, the office lady said he took it with him so I called DoorDash they said he delivered and did not return it to the store. Along with that I had a housekeeper open my door with a key no knock on door or anything and saw me so she closed the door and left. I had a dirty room carpets are disgusting, and one of the queen beds smelled like urine. I complained to office lady about the housekeeper and my DoorDash being taken and she just said oh sorry and did nothing about either issue. I called and spoke to Expedia who called motel for a refund and office staff lied stating they had no complaints by me at all and refused to do refund so I will not ever stay here again and won’t be using Expedia either since they did nothing about my issues either. I go to Portland quit a bit to events and now would rather pay extra for a motel and gas without the conscience of location to moda center

This is a classic motel. Dirty, dingy, cheap, and absolutely atrocious. If I need to save money again in Portland I’ll come back here but if I want to spend an extra $50-100 then I’ll take my business elsewhere.

The property is run down and looks awful from the outside. The website misrepresents the motel (not a hotel!!). The room was clean but was dark and dreary. The whole place needs upkeep. It would help if the paint was fresher on the outside, the weeds were pulled, and the wrought iron was repainted. Staff was very nice.

Had to ask for clean pillowcases right away.. Counters were dirty and the toilet seat not attached..so it broke.. I have totally white long hair and their were very short dark Curly hairs in the tub and the mat to keep one from slipping was so old I slipped and had to remove it.. There were holes in the bedding and the whole place looks dirty.. the very old carpet was dirty..I wouldn’t put my bare feet on it.. The location was for us wonderful and there was parking. It was advertised as a bed and breakfast and though there was a dirty fridge.. the coffee machine didn’t even come with water.. We stayed 4 nights.. and really because of the Wi-Fi problem. We will never stay there again.. I told the management of the problems and didn’t even get SORRY.. If you need inexpensive..it is.. but pay a bit more for better.

The rooms were not clean. The room I stayed was terrible. Bathtub drainage was poor had to stand in water while bathing. Got bitten all over my body by what I discovered were bedbugs the next day. I actually reported it to the owner and he promised to have maintenance spray it. I had a terrible stay due to those bites. I will never stay there even if it is free.

Had to pay $60 for parking for 5 nights. Front desk did not tell me at first then was a $12 a night parking fee. Nobody should have to pay for parking when they already paid for the expensive hotel. The area is very getto as well there was a tweeter playing load music and fixing his poopy car in the parking lot for the first 3 nights WOULD NEVER SAY HERE EVER AGAIN

Say outside in the direct sun no shade or water as I was refused water when requested it while I wait. OYO needs to replace the entire staff so that others who book are able to get the basic level of service expected from a 2 star motel.

The service was fine. The room itself was kind of what I expected for the price, but genuinely pretty difficult to sleep in. The floors were visibly dirty and covered with large, dark stains. The room smelled sour enough to require buying Lysol spray to sleep. The in room fridge did not work at all but was at least insulated to keep already drinks cold. The bathroom was fine except for some stains, and the bed linens were thin but otherwise seemed like they were clean/changed.

The staff has been very helpful. They’ve been very accommodating with any request I’ve had. I’ve not had any issues since I’ve been there. I’ve been there for about a week and it’s been lovely not to mention the bed was so comfortable.

Beware that they asked me for additional $10 for parking! Are you kidding me?! There were more parkins spots than cars! I communicated that expedia/orbitz only mentioned a $50 deposit(they waived it). Might be back. Might not.

A little dusty, but not enough to bug my asthma. One weird hair on side of tub. Rough towels, but plenty of them. No plug for bathtub, rusty bits on metal bathroom surfaces. Coffee maker didn't work & had odd corporate coffee instead of local. There was a TV but no service or directions. None of this put me off because I don't seek perfection, just a comfortable rest and I got that. Curtains were hung wonky. Nice windows, fresh air, and sense of privacy in the second floor. Comfy bed, ample blankets. I'll stay here for conferences, shopping trips, etc.

It was really nice room, but there were holes in the blanket and some black stains. I called and asked to change the blankets and they had me come out of room and walk downstairs to get it. Also, there was a hole on the floor which they put a carpet on when going to the bathroom. So everytime I went to the restroom I almost fell because you couldn't see where it was and my foot kept getting stuck there everytime. Overall it was nice experience and I would definitely go there again because of the prices.

Absolutely filthy room

Dirty, no microwave, sink faucet leaked, there was a dip in the carpeted floor that required us to place a chair over it so we wouldn’t step in the hole, the very thin old blanket on the bed had a cigarette burn, we did not cover up with sheets or blankets. The best part of motel is that it was walking distance to the Moda center.

At Check-in dd NOT want to honor given rate; service was rude, cold, and because they did NOT want to honor given rate did not want to answer questions or be helpful in any type of way. Rugs and shower were dirty and ?questionable?...commode 'ran' constantly; no paper cups available for coffee, and because of no outlet coffee had to be plugged into bathroom outlet by sink. Pair of dirty socks were on the floor apparently left by last customer. This place reeks of Greed, Avarice AND Corruption. Needs To Be [REPORTED].

People that run the property’s are nice

The room smelled like mold. There were cigarette burns in the comforter. And I was charged $6.50 on my invoice for a "Service Fee". When I asked what the fee was for, he said it was taxes. I said, I was already charged for City & State tax AND a Tourism Levy. The clerk could only respond that it was a tax charge. I asked him to find out exactly what the charge was for. He never got back to me. I would like to be reimbursed for the $6.50 "Service Fee" that you're employee could not explain to me.

The new owners were very nice and the room received several upgrades (like a new bed!) while i was there! It is a pretty basic inn, but it is a nice location. It is very close to the MODA center, but it is very quite location when there is no event on. The location is very nice if you are into riding the trains, because you have the A loop and B loop street car stop right across the street. Then, a quick walk (or skateboard, even better) down the hill gits you to the Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow/Orange Max trains. If you are looking for a good deal on a train convenient room, this is a great option. Amenities include coffee and fridge (but no microwave). i used the coffee machine to cook quinoa. haha

Im not one to be negative, but this one is definitely one that needs work. The outside looked similar to a run down hostel. Almost past it cause it was night and cant see their sign. The inside was rough. Light fixtures were literally hanging off the wall. I couldnt change the temp of the shower cause the entire knob was missing. Lots of small maintenance things that could be fixed but wernt. Probably would rather spenda few more bucks and stay somewhere else.

It's a small property. My room was very sizable, with two queen beds. The vent inside the bathroom was hanging down, about to fall off. There are tears on the headboards. The furniture, is dated and in need of replacement. As is the bathmat, in the tub that no longer sticks to the tub surface. The space in the wall where tissue boxes are held was missing it's cover. The toilet wasn't cleaned very well. Stained with urine. It didn't smell great when I walked inside the room. I am thinking because the carpet is pretty dirty. None of the flaws bothered me greatly. I do wish there was a microwave in the room, though. The TV was a modern model and so is the mini fridge was just right. Ample space inside and a separate freezer. The AC/heating unit worked well. The bedding was intact, and the mattresses were in decent condition. It's clear to see that the rooms need to be renovated/overhauled. Good pillows. The cost of a stay for a day was very right for this room. No lie.

Never went hotel wasn't pet friendly and I had my dog with me that weekend

It’s a great choice if you are seeing something at the Moda Center and not necessarily worried about safety. There was a creepy camper van in the parking lot that had people going in and out of all night.
