Reviews
The hotel reviews collectively indicate a negative experience for most guests. The majority of the reviews highlight issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service.
- Staff were friendly and helpful in some instances
- Location was convenient for some guests
- Rooms were dirty and in disrepair
- Customer service was poor and unprofessional
- 5/5
Breakfast was extremely limited. Even the coffee ran out. Also, gym was 'out of order', which is a HUGE minus for me. The machines were just standing there and door was permanently locked.
- 2/5
No me gusto que olia muy mal y los cuartos estaban en malas condiciones
- 4/5
Reasonable room. It met the needs of the stay
- 4/5
The staff were pleasant and helpful. The pool and spa were nice , once someone showed us the trick to it. The breakfasts were pathetic. Really rather an insult ,they just shouldn't do it if they don't really want to... They were very accommodating to my small minpin pup. So all in all , they were satisfactory and pleasant. I would return.

This Hotel is disgusting! The lobby smelled powerfully of bleach. The room was horrible. Burn marks on the tattered bed spread. The carpet was filthy and ripped. The floor underneath the carpet was uneven and bumpy. The side chair was slashed. The phone was unplugged and in operable. I went to the bathroom & decided I would immediately check out. I forfeited my money and never want to think about the condition of that hotel again.
- 2.5/5
Breakfast there is two cornflakes cereal brands, one waffle machine, and bread. There's jelly and butter packets. There is a juice machine and coffee. But Breakfast was a very dissatisfied experience. Never had breakfast that bad at any other inn, motel, or stay.
- 1/5
The room we received was terrible. There were spots on the ceiling where there must have been some water damage, the bathroom's vent didn't have a cover, and the light above the sink made it seem like we were at a disco (as it kept flickering, and didn't turn on). Also, we booked for a 2 day stay, and our key cards were turned off after the first night. We spoke with the front desk and got it remedied upon occurrence.
- 2/5
The room where not clean lots of body hair on the sheet. Refrigerator was not clean out. Taco bell drinks behind the sofa.
- 1/5
It was close to where I needed to be. For the three nights I stayed, there was a dog barking all 3 nights. There was no screen in the window, we had pillows with stains, when we asked for extra towels we were told they were “out”. There was a man blaring music as he walked down the hallways at midnight, and the pool was 10$ per person for my family not staying at the hotel. Lastly, the “continental breakfast” consisted of cereal and waffles. No eggs…
- 2/5
Overall, the property had a slight odor of wet dog to it. I guess that’s what you get when you offer accommodation for pets, but maybe they need to have specific rooms set aside for that. Parking oversized vehicles was a breeze which is why I chose to stay here late on a solo road trip. I don’t think I’ll be back, especially not with my wife who is more discerning.
- 0.5/5
The bars of Coconut soap and pool/hot tub. The hotel was in bad condition. There were holes in the carpet, damage all over the room, the mattresses were stained, and the TV didn't work most of our stay. No one knew what was wrong with tv, they were clueless. They gave two shampoos and no conditioner for 4 people. The breakfast was crap and the warmer was out which made it even skimpier on items. The coffee bar was also not impressive. Coffee tasted bad and had one powered creamer that you couldn't add enough to make the coffee taste good.
- 3/5
Staff was great! The room was good. The pool and area was gross. It needs major updates made including mold removal.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and made the experience a wonderful one.
- 1/5
They don't have an elevator, or provide housekeeping to start with. We specifically requested housekeeping before leaving for the day, stating we'd need new towels. After being gone for over 8 hours we found that housekeeping never came. My husband had to go downstairs to ask them to clean the room up. We couldn't call downstairs because the phone isn't actually plugged in or usable. It's just a prop. The lack of an elevator is inconvenient at best and not ADA complaint I'm sure. Expedia would be wise to put that information in a more obvious spot as it's not mentioned on the booking page unless i scroll way down. The mold in the pool is probably a health hazard, I'd be interested in finding out if it's safe to be open to the public. But the 'Active Shooter' that didn’t exist and was used as an excuse not to serve breakfast was the highlight. When my husband went downstairs to get coffee he found that breakfast was canceled due to an active shooter. When I asked for clarification because now we felt unsafe at the hotel, the man on shift, Jay, told me it was just a man with a gun and he was told by police to avoid any gatherings. Which didn't make me feel any safer. I called the non-emergency police line to get more information on the situation. The woman on the line told me there is zero gun or police activity in the area of the hotel. She isn't sure why he would say that.

I thought 181st and the Banfield was far enough from the Portland cesspool. It wasn’t.
- 0.5/5
Close parking and didnt have to pay for the parking Windows dont lock and switched rooms and found a meth pipe and given 13 minutes to leave that there would not be a refund until the sheriff was called and they didnt do anything. And was told to pack our stuff if you want a refund and that we were wasting time. Date this happened was may16th/ 17th 2026 Jay the manager and security guard which would not give his name.
- 4/5
It was cool
- 1/5
e sausage, which wasn't very good. Not impressed with the breakfast
- 3/5
Location Breakfast wasn’t as advertised. Nothing at 8 am
- 5/5
Everything. The room was Great. The staff was wonderful. Can't complain.
- 3.5/5
The hot tub was a little smelly.
- 5/5
Nothing
- 2/5
Paint would really help the place out.
- 1.5/5
Location good, check-in person was friendly No phone in the room, our tv didn't work, night front desk was no help, kids were shooting big rubber bands in the hallway, staff just said they knew & parent notified, cockroach in our bathroom & on table near tv in the morning.
- 1/5
Did stay no elevators to basement level where they wanted to put us aftercthey said i can get ground level rooms. I had to movevto another hotel. They couldn't accommodate us
- 4/5
Cockroach in the bathtub , needs a good deep clean . Breakfast Sausage was cooked funny , adding eggs & fruit to breakfast would b nice.
- 4/5
Really decent all the way around
- 4.5/5
Nothing to dislike
- 5/5
Great staff, amenities, and prices.
- 2/5
It was in a good location Bathroom light flickered like it had a short in the wiring, Black mold, cockroaches, dirty comforter, no maid service and continental breakfast was canceled everyday due to an electrical issue
- 1/5
Location We were greeted by a roach and a huge hole in the wall.
- 4.5/5
Breakfast was missing on our second day.
- 1/5
Pool area was not at all as the pictures showed as advertised. I understand it’s an indoor pool but there was mold all over the walls, wall/paint/drywall peeling from the ceiling, water in the spa was merky yellow. Could not close bathroom door all the way in our room, holes in the carpet, walls and doors were dirty. There is no elevator and the continental breakfast was not served due to electrical issues.
- 0.5/5
The facility was beyond need of repair. Everything was worn out and beat up. I was moved upstairs to a better room when I told the front desk I was not comfortable with the original room. It looked and felt like a "no tell motel" in a seedy part of town. The pool water was clean however too cold to swim in. The mold in the sky light was scary gross. The walls had lots of black mold and the window seals were worn out as the moisture between the glass made it hard to see outside. This motel needs a lot of money and labor to bring it up to parr. The breakfast was not worth attending, only bread, cereal and waffles.
- 5/5
This was a very good hotel for the price. Very clean and friendly. It's an older hotel but you can tell they keep it clean and nice. I stay here a couple times a month when I'm in town.
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 1/5
Front desk night man rude and very discriminating. Needs to learn how to talk to people. Got told to leave because threw away a waffle. Seriously
- 4/5
Ok but replaces were slow
- 3.5/5
The room needed real cleaning, the walls, the lamps and the phone had to be cleaned. The pool area was moldy with paint peeling.
- 2/5
All was good, but there was no coffee when we got there but it was filled later. The place was clean and smelled good. A nice scent out side of the building was present. The lady up front says its there often. Nice scent. The breakfast was like someone stole all the sausages and eggs. There was no eggs. If it was sausages, there was minimal left. The waffle maker was good but a bit confusing. Usually an aerosol oil was used. New pump seemed ok. My son could not find the milk. But did later when looked at a thermos.
- 5/5
Everything. Breakfast was good.
- 1/5
Im going to start looking at the room in person before spending my money, after this filthy room. I had to call the front desk to get housekeeping to come clean the bathroom.
- 1/5
Breakfast was canceled day of our stay, pool has mold all over ceiling and rusty rails along pool. We were rushed out of room, house keeping kept knocking on our door asked us to check out even though we still had 15 mins until check out time!
- 0.5/5
The lady at the front desk, she was very helpful and nice! The toilet was running all night, the bed was very uncomfortable, the curtains were frayed. The room was broken down
- 4/5
Spa could be updated or upgraded but it was ok
- 5/5
For a cheaper hotel I was quite impressed with the over all of everything! The staff was very friendly when I arrived. My room was clean and looked nice for an older looking room. The breakfast in the morning was good also with multiple things to choose from. I definitely will be staying here again! Thank you!
- 3/5
It was ok. Clean-ish but nothing to write home about. The hotel is aged and needs a good refresh.
- 5/5
Room was clean stsff
- 5/5
Ok like the rooms arent rhe greatess but the staff is awesome the maids work there butt off its just a lil old and dingy but for the location its probably one of the better ones and they treat everyone with respect thank you guys for continuing to be awesome
- 3/5
Hot tub was cold and the switch to start it was missing, just wires
- 1/5
Terrible attitude
- 4/5
The staff was extremely friendly and the room very clean. I didn’t have a chance to check out the oool or have breakfast.
- 2/5
Room carpet had missing peaces, also continental breakfast without fruit, juice and eggs. Sausages were cold and hard.
- 5/5
Nice place.
- 1/5
There was hair in the shower food under the bed and the jetted tub didn't work
- 1/5
The breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had. Barely has any food or options, plus they threatened to charge you 10.00 a plate if you took it back to your room to eat. The place smells in the hallway. They charge you 30.00 for late check out and that’s only to 1pm. It’s like they are so desperate for money they look for any reason to charge you. Then in the end they wouldn’t give us back our 100.00 cash deposit even tho we left the room cleaner than when we checked in they stated it was because we had our esa animal in a no pet room even tho there was animal hair behind the bed and in the couch and we heard animals in neighboring rooms. The front desk girl was rude and refused to give us any of our money back. I will never stay there again
- 1/5
Staff was rude and very confrontational. Staff made us feel like we are unwelcome and that we were inconveniencing them by just being there
- 3/5
Staff were courteous at desk! House keeping didn’t speak English making it hard to get items from her! Room wasn’t quite nice as advertised and not stocked as should have been for two people!
- 2/5
The room was severely outdated and numerous holes in the doors and walls. Shower was outdated as well. Breakfast was lacking breakfast items as we.
- 5/5
Best staff
- 2/5
The room han an open tack strip on the floor which i found with my bare feet. Couldn't get the Tv to work. Staff was friendly, price was good but you couldn't even take breakfast to your room. I didnt like that
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
room was very clean, staff was kind. I would stay again/
- 3/5
Can’t
- 2/5
Rooms were clean, but front desk and her friend kept knocking on husbands door all hours of the evening and into the night. Very unprofessional and rude.
- 5/5
It was a very safe motel and fairly quiet. It was close to shopping and walkable. There was a lot of parking spots to park. Breakfast options were waffles, cold cereal and sausage, links with coffee and juice which was very good not to go out and have breakfast. The managment was very nice and helpful. Thank you. I would stay there again when I visit relatives in Portland, OR.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Giselle. We had a problem with the laundry facilities and had to find another place to get quarters in order to use it. The free breakfast was limited but adequate.

- 3/5
You can hear literally everything from other rooms. The light bulb fell out of our bathroom light when someone in another room flushed their toilet. The doors had holes in them, the shower head was hanging on by a thread, visible mold. But the staff were extremely nice though. I wouldn’t stay here again but I’m sure my husband would.

- 5/5
Loved are stay thanks
- 2/5
The room was pretty disgusting. Old, peeling, but the one that got us was the filthy smears on the wall. I used one of their not-very-clean towels to wipe off brown sticky stuff that my Mom thought was blood. The whole place smelled bad and side doors were locked even to card-carrying guests, super sketchy. Hotels two blocks away were completely fine.
- 5/5
I stay at this hotel every time i drive in to portland its every thing im looking for affordable, clean , polite staff , rooms are nice and i go for a swim almost every time to relax this hotel fit all my needs

Nice and simple place to stay. Breakfast could’ve been better and the hot tub could’ve been hotter. Service was great and great staff.
- 1/5
This was honestly one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. The room was dark and depressing, that the maintenance guy who helped fix the issue with the TV had to use his phone's flashlight to see the buttons, the bed felt slumpy and the reception staff (Vani) had an arrogant attitude that made me feel unwelcome from the start. On top of that, the food was almost nonexistent—minimal choices and poor quality. Total waste of money. I would never stay here again!

Shower head had too much water pressure, broken towel hanger, cracked silicone caulking in bathroom. Just needs to be updated.. Speing mattress on the bed, which was alright, but just not what youd expect in 2025. Othwerise it was mid. Ive been in way worse.

Upon arrival, there were several issues with the hotel room. The TV was broken, the hair dryer was burnt, the bathroom fan was insanely loud, paint was chipping, and there phone numbers written on the bathroom door.Additionally the sheets were not fitted properly for the bed so when they came off huge yellow stains on the mattress were revealed. Even the amenities were disappointing with no breakfast stocked at 8am and the hottub and sauna being broken/out of use
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
Bad: lumpy floor, dated decor, weak plumbing, no elevator, only way in is front door while other doors only out, breakfast section absolutely terrible, multiple signs saying can’t bring food out of breakfast room without paying a fee. Don’t stay here for multiple days, maybe just a overnight stay.

- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
The rooms are dirty and the first room we got put into had no tv cords hanging out of the tv and then the phone had no wire connecting it so we had no access to the phone I had to use my personal phone to call the front desk and so they ended up switching our rooms but that room also was very dirty I had to scrub the shower my self because it looked like somebody had a bloody accident in the tub because there was dried blood in the tub that easily came out when I used a wash cloth to wipe it out so the house keeping really need to clean the rooms better
- 1/5
Room was dirty and old broken tiles holes in the bedding and not washed. Smelled dirty. Bathroom has broken tiles. Not happy.
- 5/5
Great like always
- 3/5
I had the jetted tub room, did not match the photos, most hotels never do. The bathroom was a standing shower instead of a tub shower like the photos showed. The AC did not blow very hard on max, it did cool the room but it took longer than expected. There were stains on the lamps, chairs, even the walls had some stains. The walls had peeling wallpaper, and damaged corners, the mattress was incredibly stained, overall not a terrible property, it’s cheap and not in the best part of town. The staff were welcoming and did a fantastic job. In terms of cleanliness of the room I had to check for bedbugs, did not find any, but it was the sort of room that I did want to see for myself. The shower head leaked, directly spraying the wall, the tile floors felt oily, there was no roller with the toilet paper so we had to hold the roll. Would I stay here again? Probably not - dated hotel and not in the best condition. If I was in a pinch and needed a hotel and the price wasn’t higher than the other 2 hotels right next to this one I would stay again.

If you are going to advertise on a website that you have a spa you should have an operating spa. Not just a tub with hot water with no jets. Where it's obvious the controls on the wall have been torn out.

The front desk was very helpful, made check in easy, and very friendly! Perfect for our girls trip!

Great stay
- 5/5
It’s was budget friendly but the breakfast is very limited, the floor squeaks when walking, woke up couple of time cause the resident above our room was walking. The room was large, big TV and working systems including AC, just very outdated building with a bit of smoke smell and seems some resident with social services support reside here frequently. Breakfast was very little options

It was nice and quiet and clean thanks
- 1/5
If you have a pet, you get the crappy basement rooms and have to pay extra plus a $100 deposit. Toilet overflowed first flush and they had no one to fix it. Finally gave me a plunger but I had to do it myself. Smoke alarm was missing...just wires hanging out of the ceiling.
- 1/5
One of the worst experiences, my TV was broken and they spent an hour and a half over two visits. I asked for a price break or new room, didn't get either. Ended up leaving on one channel the entire visit. By the time they were done with the TV, I didn't have time to make it comfortably to the pool. So no tcmv and no pool.
- 2/5
We were sleeping next door to a crying baby. I worried that my car would be vandalized while we slept. Many broken items - carpet, hair dryer, drains, lamp, etc.
- 4/5
Convenient location
- 2/5
Not sure if there was a change in management or if there just needs to be? So different from any of my other stays. Pool/Spa/Gym was filthy. Staff we're not attentive to issues throughout the property. Noise was an issue. Lack of sufficient towels and washcloths. Romote was not working so couldn't watch TV. AC worked good though.

Staffs are nicer, room is clean.
- 3/5
The hotel room itself is completely out of date, with bead-board showing through the walls, carpet coming undone or missing, holes in the furniture, water damage and/or mold in the ceiling, paint sloppily done, and little to no water pressure in the shower. Fixtures were falling off. When I plugged in my phone chargers there was a spark, and they completely stopped working. I want to say it was clean, due to the overwhelming smell of cleaning products, but honestly that made it feel like it was putting perfume on a pig… There was also some odd conversation about wanting to take pictures of our room before we went in, but the receptionist changed her mind. Later when we arrived at the pool, there was a photographer with the same woman, taking pictures of the pool. Hopefully they’re for a renovation!
- 5/5
Room an older room but clean! Bed was comfortable on this weary nod. Good stay for Hotels.com pricing.
