Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, modern design, and friendly staff. However, there are recurring complaints about the noise, whether it's from the airport, the heater, or other guests. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with the quality of the beds and the lack of amenities like microwaves and dressers in the rooms.

The room was terrific and the shuttle wonderful.

room had mold in shower and the rooms are not well laid if you need to charge your cellphone or notebook as the plug ins are down under the desk and night stand

overall all area very good

Staff was awesome, especially the lady who made breakfast in the mornings her customer service was above and beyond expectations!
- 5/5
Be prepared, no microwaves in the rooms and everything in the village is veery expensive. Food farther away from the resort is more reasonable but harder to access. Beautiful property and beach

The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Close to train making it easy to get around Portland
- 4/5
I was just there to sleep after a long international flight. I was picked up at the airport by their shuttle, which is a huge perk for me, and then greeted by a friendly receptionist. I got my room key went up and went to bed. The room was nice and clean and in the morning I had a nice shower and coffee in the room.
- 4/5
Nono @ the front desk was excellent and got us w park and fly deal rather than using QR code for parking. Super happy she suggested and saved us $$. Very friendly!!!
- 5/5
There was a whole community of hotels, restaurants, and businesses in this area that made it extremely convenient to stay in! The employees were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the amenities were great! It was central to several amazing places in Portland, and I would highly recommend it to everyone!
- 3/5
Airport shuttle arrived really fast, so that was great, but this hotel seems a bit ‘tired’, not like it was when I stayed there when they were relatively new. Everything was just ok…room didn’t smell all that clean, but I didn’t notice anything that actually looked unclean. Location was good, but with so many other hotels in the same area, I’d probably choose someplace different next time.

Comfortable room & bed, great location, airport shuttle, clean and updated, well-cared for property, Highly recommend!

Location The shower valve escutcheon had mold around, there was mold on shower ceiling and the toilets seat was so loose it was about to fall off . The desk guy and bartender was rude and seemed to not like their job .

Fairly close to airport (8 minute shuttle ride). Hotel is definitely a little worn down. Staff are nice. Seemed a little dank and not as nice as the last time I stayed there.

Clean room, convenient to airport but a little noisy

Will maintained good customer service

The only bad thing about Aloft is the lighting. It’s impossible to leave on the bathroom light without having it shine into the bedroom, which causes sleep deprivation. From now on when I stay at an aloft, I will take a nightlight to plug into the outlet.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
Very nice hotel. Only con was the bath and hand towels that were kinda thin.
- 5/5
Nice hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent proximity to Portland Airport and to Columbia River Gorge. We enjoyed the stores and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
- 5/5
I know I will always have a great stay at Aloft. The employees are friendly and the room is always pristine. The parking/airport shuttle is a good reason to stay there, too.
- 5/5
The staff was great. I was able to check in earlier and got a chance to relax a bit before heading out to my planned activity
- 5/5
Near airport
- 5/5
Rooms were great! Late night swim was awesome! My girls went down for breakfast but one of my daughter’s food was forgotten about and they waited for an hour or so to get her food. staff were kind enough to give them a snack and drink on the house. We will be back!
- 4/5
Room was in need of updating. Continent to airport and good bed with ac.

Nono, front desk, was so caring, at check in and check out. Bartender was very personable as well. Shuttle drivers very nice.
- 5/5
Professional staff, bar was great, rooms quiet
- 3/5
Average hotel. The queen room is spacious and provides privacy between bedroom and bathroom- which is a plus.
- 5/5
clean place. nice staff. cute too.
- 4/5
This hotel was easy to get to, a number of shops and restaurants were right across the street which was amazing. I was a little surprised having to pay for parking, $12 per day since the location two doors down had not charged us. Also, I had an ADA room so my daughter and I could have connecting rooms. The shower in the ADA was great and the products were nice too but when I opened the curtain there was water all over the floor into the other room, fortunately tiled. Also the air conditioner was extremely loud and it was hard to sleep.
- 3/5
Decent. Too bright in morning.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff
- 5/5
We love Aloft. This is our go to place before flying out of PDX. Friendly staff, great vibe, nice rooms. Super easy and convenient.
- 5/5
This hotel is very clean and spacious. It is literally across the street from good restaurants and shopping and very convenient to Pdx airport.
- 5/5
nice, affordable, and close to everything
- 5/5
Clean area and conveniently located.
- 5/5
Lovely updated hotel with friendly staff. Bring wall chargers for your electronics. They did let us borrow some.
- 5/5
Quiet, clean, and super close for early morning airport travel. Shuttle leaves about every 15 minutes and is quick and easy.
- 5/5
Comfortable and convenient!
- 5/5
No hassle check-in and check-out. Transportation to hotel was quick and runs 24/7. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Quality shower products.

Disappointed. From the pics online it looked bigger. Wont be using them again
- 5/5
Excellent stay. We always stay here when we are in Portland.

Loved the little extras we were given for our anniversary. This place is special for us in our marriage and we will continue to come. Thank you for all the wonderful little itmes for our anniversary
- 5/5
Very nice and comvenient
- 5/5
Close to the airport for overnight layovers
- 4/5
Stayed for just one night prior to flying out the following morning. It was just a few minutes from the airport to we picked it for convenience. It was nice having Cascade Station right there to shop and have dinner.
- 5/5
Very quiet and clean
- 5/5
Great hotel with lots of cool features with games, a pool table, bar, pool and gym. We will be back!
- 4/5
Strange menu at the bar, but what I had was fine. The fitness center was clean and updated. The television in my room didn't work (or at least no buttons on the remote worked except for the power button, sometimes) but I wasn't staying long enough to bother with it much. I'd stay here again if I needed to be close to the airport.
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff, prompt and courteous shuttle service. Walk to restaurants. Minutes to airport terminal. Kids enjoyed the pool. Great overnight option for PDX travelers.
- 5/5
Nice place, indoor pool, quiet shopping accross the street
- 5/5
This is a decent place to stay. 24 hour airport shuttle service and easy on/off from freeway. Also close to shopping and light rail station.
- 5/5
Location wise food and shopping center is nearby, Grotto is about 5-10 mins away. Hotel staff are all nice friendly and approachable. It did exceeds my expectation.
- 5/5
Bus shuttle was nice. Very clean and quiet.
- 4/5
A bit overpriced. Just ok.
- 5/5
Hotel is clean and modern. Excellent lounge area and bar, super comfy and cozy makes you feel right at home. Area is super convenient next to airport and shopping this hotel is one of my fav for a quick one night trip.
- 5/5
Bar was cool and great service!
- 5/5
We really love this place. We take our parrot and they are very accommodating. Also the staff at the front desk are always very welcoming and go out of their way to make sure we are comfortable. One thing for me, I wish the bed was softer; however, my husband was very comfortable! Other than that I have everything good to say about this place. Definately recommend staying here.
- 5/5
Courteous staff and comfortable bed. Shower is ok. Will stay again when traveling
- 5/5
Room layout was great. Property interior could use some updating.
- 5/5
Great hotel near airport. Everything is close.
- 1/5
I have two clusters of bites . There are 8-12 bites in each cluster .
- 4/5
I've stayed at Aloft properties twice in the past and its always a good experience. Pretty up to date hotel, clean, great customer service, while housekeeping didn't come by our room (our fault probably, we kept the sign in the door until noon) we were able to easily get replacement towels at the front desk which was all we needed anyways. Nice little bar in the lobby and parking was fine for us.
- 5/5
Nice lobby. Clean rooms
- 3/5
The shuttle bus from the airport was an issue. Had to call several times.
- 4/5
Overall nice property. Will likely return in the future.
- 4/5
I Drive an electric vehicle and that’s one of the reasons I chose this place. Their charger was in operable, but there are several right across the street. For those of us that drive electric cars this is not uncommon and again, also one of the reasons I chose this place, knowing that if the charger was broken, I had options I could walk from nearby.

- 5/5
I only stayed overnight before flying out the next morning, but the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the gym was especially spacious and well-equipped.
- 5/5
I stayed for 8 days and everything was great.
- 2/5
Front desk staff was terrible
- 3/5
It was clean and if you aren’t going to be there for too long you won’t notice how old it looks. The bathroom looks severely outdated. It gives old motel vibes. But it did what needed to be done. They had a good breakfast and had prompt transportation service
- 5/5
Beautiful, well designed rooms—5 minute shuttle to PDX, , great WXYZ bar in the lobby, fun staff, comfortable beds. It’s perfect!
- 5/5
Allows pets.
- 2/5
This property is rundown. It's the worst Aloft hotel I've ever stayed at. Smoke detector falling from the ceiling, dirty and old all around. Rusty mini fridge and microwave just sitting on top of the bathroom sink which could be a fire hazard. Towels were like drying yourself with sandpaper. Poor attitude of the overnight front desk clerk. Unprofessional attire, button down t-shirt exposing all of his chest hairs and he just had an attitude. I understand it was 3:40am but not even a "good morning" to a guest is not acceptable behavior. Will NOT be staying nor recommending this property.
- 5/5
After 36 hours in the air I was only wanting a place to sleep a quick meal and cold beer and I got all that with a smile. Very nice and seamless stay.
- 1/5
I put the do not disturb sign and they still went in my room. They threw my jacket on the floor along with my personal blanket. They also took one of our hair towels.
- 5/5
Uuuu
- 2/5
Had been before and liked it. Back again after a few years and has deteriorated. Would only stay here again if needed early morning airport access. Don’t anticipate being back again otherwise.
- 5/5
This is the best hotel to stay in when you’re going in and out of the Portland airport. The only thing I don’t like is that they charge you for parking even when you’re a guest. It feels like they are nickel and dimming me as a guest. It isn’t New York afterall!! other than that, it’s my go to the airport.
- 5/5
Staffs are very accomodating, close by all the shops and resto.
- 5/5
Good restful stay.
- 5/5
The rooms need to be refreshed. Overall a nice property
- 5/5
Front Desk staff was incredibly helpful
- 5/5
D
- 5/5
Convenient to airport good shuttle service and reasonable parking
- 3/5
The room was very clean but not well equipped. Very few outlets anywhere in the room, I had to move the microwave to plug in the coffee maker. No separate light for the room the toilet was in so in order to turn on the light it light up the entire room disturbing the other sleepers. No real door either to separate the toilet/shower from the sink area & main room. But it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It served its purpose for a quick night after a late flight in.
- 3/5
It was a fine hotel, nothing spectacular. The door opens right into your bathroom area with very limited privacy. There was no fan or solid door separating the bathroom from the room. While clean, with comfy beds, the room was dingy. There was a stain on the headboard, and the walls needed a good washing. There was a cute, but cold pool. A nice seating area outside.
- 3/5
Convenient, but a bit of noisy from the ventilation
- 3/5
Do not order the breakfast unless you like getting your breakfast at mini marts and am/pm gas stations.
- 5/5
The hotel is a convenient stay for a morning departure at PDX. LOVE THAT THE TBs have Netflix and Prime. Clean and safe.
- 4/5
Just expected a warmer, kinder, friendlier reception to align with the property. Stayed there for 5 days and it was consistently the same at the front.
- 4/5
Very quick check in, no orientation of the hotel tho (pool hours, amenities, if breakfast is available, etc) Great room, clean, nice products from Dry Bar, nice surprise of the bar and games in the lobby. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean, modern, comfortable rooms. A bit on the small side, but good for 2 people.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
The property was super convenient to accessing the interstate and airport.
- 5/5
Close to economy parking for airport
- 5/5
Great bartender!
- 4/5
Convenient
- 4/5
Nice stay. Overall clean room, great ambience in the lobby. Food was mediocre and the kitchen was closed for the complimentary breakfast so we needed to then purchase the limited supply of snacks/pastries that were available. Would stay again if needed to be close to the airport but that was the only real benefit.
- 4/5
I liked the convenience of dining and shopping
- 5/5
I overnighted at this property, it was unique, very comfortable, easy to find and the staff were wonderful; only one caveat, throughout the evening it sounded as if there was running water, which can be distracting; overall a good experience, I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Hotel service was excellent and the employees were helpful and pleasant
- 5/5
The person who checked me in was very welcomimg, efficient and full of information. The room was nice and spacious and had everything I needed.
- 4/5
Would have like a jacuzzi . We didn’t even use pool . Too small . Open area in the sun would have been nice . People at desk could be a bit more knowledgeable about events going on things to see etc.
- 2/5
Plenty of parking. Security robot that patroled the area was a new sight for me. I found it pretty awesome. Hotel check in was a very different experience than ever before. Definitely seemed like we were interupting their doom scrolling time by requiring if we were in the correct location to check in. Room was OK. Pretty small, and there was no way to adjust the temperature other than by the air conditioning unit. No fan mode, just high and low, and SO LOUD. Not the greatest nights sleep. I appreciated the pets welcomed always with no fee. Overall a fair experience.
- 5/5
I stay at this hotel frequently and have always had a great experience here. Clean, quiet, and relatively safe. I will say, there are some sketch people around, and I have noticed some sketch cars parking in the parking area, but I havent had an issue with car break ins or anything like that, but it is an issue in the area, so use yiur big city know how and leave nothing in your car. There is some airport noise, as Alaska seems to have changed their flight path to be directly over the hotel, but nothing ear plugs cannot help. Staff is always great and it is very modern. Parking is $9 per day and they do have park and fly packages. Overall, highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great hotel to stay
- 4/5
We had a nice one night stay due to catching an early flight. Service was nice. Staff was excellent! The room felt a little too dark carpet could use some cleaning. But other than that, good stay.
- 2/5
We began staying at Aloft Portland shortly after it was built and in the beginning, it was our go to hotel. It was clean, smelled nice, and even had a DJ in the bar area on the weekends. Locals would actually come out for drinks and to hang out. However, over the years, we have noticed that there has been a complete lack of upkeep, update, and even some of the staff is mediocre are customer service. For example, in the morning when we came down to have coffee, the front desk person looked at us but did not greet us or acknowledge us in anyway. A simple greeting goes along way. Some of the chairs in the lounge area have seen better days and the leather has been worn off at the seams. Goodwill sells better looking furniture than those chairs. The entire hotel could use a deep cleaning and a scrub. It feels dingy. Our shower had all kinds of mold in the grout, and the shower door had a gap at Bottom which made the water spill out. The blackout shades in our room did not go all the way down, therefore leaving a 5 inch gap at the base, allowing the sun to stream in early morning. The pillows were the lumpiness synthetic pillows I've ever slept on. The sheets were a polyester cotton blend that have also seen better days. I honestly could not believe that this hotel has such poor quality bedding! The one redeeming quality has been the bartender (Elke) and the kitchen staff who were very personable, pleasant, and fun to talk to. Overall, the experience was a total disappointment.
