Baymont by Wyndham Port Wentworth

The TV was the size of a postage stamp. The door to the adjoining room could not be locked,so, I put a chair up against it. The drain in the bathroom sink could not be closed. The breakfast consisted of toast and waffles. No other hot options,no pastries of any kind,no biscuits,no bagels,etc. Obviously no eggs,sausage or bacon,although it was advertised as "breakfast included". Only one juice in a bottle in the fridge. Every corner of the room and the common areas were black with scum and dirt. Pitiful.

The beds weren’t bad and when you first go in it doesn’t look too bad. However, we ended up dealing with bugs, no hot water and the tub not looking very clean. Car work if you just want to stop really quick and take a nap.

The room was fine, nothing special, but comfortable for one or two nights. Its basic. We did walk in to a dead roach on the floor. Staff was cordial if a little slow. Complimentary breakfast was very much lacking though. I don't know that we'll stay there again.

Other than the price, this hotel was a huge let down. They do have breakfast I guess, just not to the level I have come to expect at other at other Wyndham hotels. No eggs. No meat. Basically just waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt and prepackaged pastries. Just some type of citrus juice, coffee and milk to drink. If breakfast were all that were wrong I would have given en them a mulligan but when you list a pool as an amenity it should be usable. The pool has debris a lot of debris and the water looked slimy and green. It was disgusting. The whole reason I changed from my iriginal hotel to this one was for the pool so I was extremely disappointed. There was a musty smell in the hallway on the second floor from the carpet. They seemed to be renovating many of the rooms up there so maybe they will replace this carpet. I had to pull the refrigerator in my room out to figure out there was a switch that needed to be flipped to make it and the microwave work. I get trying to save electricity but when the room is reserved, the hotel should make sure things are in good working order. I do not think I need to keep going to make my point. I would never go here again.

The staff were happy to help but the rook its self was just very old and a lack of cleaning over time made it feel really gross. The pool water was green!

Great stay at a reasonable rate. Room was very nice, especially the bathroom. Staff checking me in and out were very friendly. We were able to bring our dog with us too. Location is convenient to I95 and not far from Savannah. Def recommend for an affordable, nice stay.

This is a dog friend place. They have a d Sago palm out front. This will kill your dog if they eat any of it.

The pool was not open. On the site it says they were. I think if there is an issue with the pool it needs to be added so people don’t think they get to go swimming and get there and it’s not open all week. Very disappointing

The AC unit blows extremely hard directly toward the bed closest to it, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. The only items available were waffles, danish pastries, apples, bananas, and cereal. Tea bags were provided, yet there was no hot water available for tea. When I asked for hot water, I was told I would have to pay for it, which was unacceptable. Overall, I am very unhappy with both the service and the condition of this hotel. This is a property contracted with Wyndham, and the online pictures are very misleading and do not accurately reflect the actual condition of the hotel. I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

The location was great It was dirty, and it says the pool is open year round and the pool was in fact closed and was not in working condition. Our room was not in the best shape and will not be staying at this place again.

Cheapest excuse for breakfast options, pool was green and slimy, this location uses scent dispensers to cover plumbing smell, but the scent they use is not pleasant. Appears to have been recently remodeled by someone's cousin that could do it cheaper than an actual contractor. Mattress was okay, blanket and pillows were thin. Slightly overpriced for the value you're getting in return.

Desk clerk challenged me on my service dog and demanded I show her my cert papers which is totally against the law, even after I advised her of same.

The location was okay. That intersection is busy and a little confusing but close to the highway. The bathroom was filthy and the pool was "under construction" We picked that hotel so my kids could swim so the pool being closed was disappointing. The breakfast was a joke, a couple apples and a waffle maker. Really not sure how they stay in business

It felt and smelt humid inside, the breakfast items were constantly out.

The room was clean as well as the bathroom. Staff was wonderful and very kind especially to our little one. I will say there is not a lot of breakfast options they had two different cereals, waffles, yogurt, bananas, oatmeal cream pies and bread. I mean any breakfast included is nice just something to keep in mind if you are looking for more variety/ hot foods . The pool isn’t open yet (April is when it opens) which we were kind of sad about but, understood. For the price though we would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was a joke. A waffle maker a broken juice machine and white bread for toast. No muffins or any other items except two yogurts in the fridge and one unmarked item in there. Mystery food I guess. This area is one we stayed in over three trips and all of the hotels in this are we stayed in we under construction or refurbished with the bare minimum. These hotel brands need to check the properties they let carry their name.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs, or you could make yourself a waffle. NOTHING ELSE! Grounds had a lot of garbage scattered by guests who were drinking alcoholic beverages (while sitting on curbs or standing in parking lot).

It was a great place for the price. Nothing fancy but clean and in a good location. It’s 20 minutes from downtown Savannah. They do clean your room everyday which was nice.

The room was clean and comfortable; unfortunately it backed up to mexican restaurant which had a lot of trash laying around outside. It was VERY close to the restaurant. They kept the back door to the kitchen open so you could hear everything including the music blasting. We were about to ask for a different room when we realized the restaurant closed at 9:00pm so the music stopped. The noise started up again about 4:00 am with rhythmic banging. Im not sure where it was coming from but it was annoying and kept us awake. The windows are so thin that at times i thought they were open. We didn't stay for the free breakfast because all they had was waffles, apples, yogurt and cereal.

It was messy. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was at most a 2 star hotel. We were in an adjoining room. The space under the door was at least an inch so you could hear the people in the next room clearly and loudly.

Everyone was super nice and friendly. Tim was super clean. Only thing that I wasn’t happy with was the toilet flushed super slow. Had to get a plunger from front desk and my husband had to plunge the toilet. It just seemed the toilet had slow drainage to begin with.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate but sparse. The lobby is uninspired I but the staff was pleasant. The price was very good. The breakfast could be better.

The cleanliness of the property could’ve been better from the room to the outdoors area outside of the side door. The glass was broken, and there was garbage bags piled up.

The room and services were good. There are not many amenities, only the basic facilities. The breakfast is decent with few choices but not extensive.

To be fair, the room was spacious and recently painted. However, the bathroom was not cleaned at all from previous occupancy. It was absolutely disgusting (think pubic hairs and feces). We only stayed one night going from FL to NC and I wish I hadn't booked this stay at all. We could not shower or potty. Nor could we eat breakfast there after I witnessed the woman making pancake mix in the back office where they do laundry. I'm guessing the owners maintain the place without any help which means nothing is done ethically. The renovation is the paint, there were old tissues behind furniture. I can say the beds were spacious and comfortable. I would not stay again, a clean bathroom is a necessity.

The staff were awesome! We were absolutely exhausted from travel, and I had accidentally reserved the wrong day the staff quickly helped us get a room so that we could rest. The woman went above and beyond, and was the most friendly of all the hotels we stayed in.

I came in from Tennessee, arrived at about 7am to check in. Was charged an extra $30. Dropped my belongings off. When I arrived back to my room, and my tv didn’t work, couldn’t call phone didn’t work. When I said something to staff the guy came ( who smelled like a fresh bag of cut onions) in told me that my tv worked , he tried to turn it on and then said oh it doesn’t work. But you got this room because you checked in early. So the question was I paid extra to get a room that nothing works in. I received a new room. After getting settled in that room and ate my dinner went to wash my hands and the sink and tub was full of nasty water, my room was changed a 3rd time. Staff had a nasty attitude about it. Kept cutting me off when I would ask questions. They is by far my worst experience. Also neither phone worked in any room I had, I was told well you have a cell phone. There was no do not disturb signs, I requested staff not to go in my room and clean and they did. This is completely unacceptable. I will not recommend this property to anyone

Customer Services he was great, but the room smelled funky and And the bed or the air conditioning smelled of cigarettes; the wifi didn't work for working, they wouldn't provide the password, they only allowed to enter it and you had to work from the lobby instead of from the room, that was very unfortunate for me because my trip was for business.

Chose this hotel because they are pet friendly and the price per night was reasonable. Charge for our cat was also reasonable. Property was newly renovated which was evident. Nice clean lobby area with bright spaces. Our room was a nice size double queen room. Just a couple things that weren’t working, the phone didn’t work and the WiFi wouldn’t allow us to stream anything, but these things were not a big deal for us, perhaps they need to add some WiFi extenders. The lamp in our room was missing a lamp shade, but they noted it upon check out so I’m sure this will be corrected before the next guest books the room. The breakfast was not as good as I would expect for a new renovation, as the juice machine only poured out water and the eggs and sausage were pretty tasteless, but again, for the price it wasn’t the worst we’ve had. The phone didn't work, no clock, no cups or coffee available in the room or lobby.There was a single night light for two beds, the usb port to charge a phone was not working, breakfast choices were poor and much of what was offered had run out and was not restocked. Our check-in staff member was pleasant and did try to assist where he could.

We were only there for 1 night- it was easy on/off the highway.

Beds were comfortable, staff asked daily were we ok or needed extra anything. Very secure, had to use key fob to re-enter for safety. Would definitely stay again

The room was dirty. The sheets had not been cleaned. The pool (which was one main reason we booked here) was closed us to being shut down for health inspection reasons yet nothing in the website to indicate. The tv had no volume and after a week’s stay was still not repaired and the wifi would not connect to anything. It was awful!

I have been staying at this property for 4 years but will never step foot in this place again. The new little girl they have has a piss poor attitude and is just plan nasty. Someone is gonna put her in her place one day and she better be glad it wasn’t me that did it. She stays on her phone with her ear pods in and is very inconvenient for her to do her job. BTW it’s the morning twit they have. She was yelling at guest and gave both me and my mother a very nasty attitude and I will never stay at this place again.

I would find somewhere else to stay if you can. The hotel smells when you walk in. Some of the rooms had roaches and management seemed to not be bothered or interested in finding a solution. Breakfast served stale food. The housekeeper bangs on your door to see if you need towels and to take your trash. Then proceeds to look in the room to see if anyone is in there. Mop head was dingy and dirty. It smells like they use dirty mop water to mop the floors. I should not have to clean my hotel room and spray it down with Lysol in order to feel comfortable. Never again!

Our room was horrible roaches on the floor, my husband clothes got soaked in the restroom from the sink leaking. The pool was dirty. The sausage for breakfast was not eatable. Our key stopped working had to get another. Couldn't watch tv none of the televisions worked in our room. Kids was miserable thank goodness they had their phones.

The building looked clean on the outside and lobby. Room doors was old or needing painting or updating. The TV in the room had exposed wires. Housekeeping made the bed but never changed the sheets. Just provided clean towels. The room was small. Even tho reservations was confirmed but when I called the hotel to advise a late arrival they insisted on another $140 payment which was never refunded. I will never book a reservation at this hotel again.

The bathroom had hair on the floor and the light fixture had old dead bugs in it. The tub had rust stains all over it while the drain was literally corroded. The young lady that checked me in had an attitude as well.

The staff was friendly. The property was ok but to be fair was under construction… Tip to management… please look into upgrading windows. And prioritize first and second floor assignments.

The hotel was clean and newly renovated. Had a lot of hidden fees for pets and security deposits. Also a bit further then advertised to Hilton Head beach.

Worst hotel.com experience I’ve ever had. This particular location had bugs and had to change rooms staff was not considered of how we felt and offered nothing to satisfy us besides changing our room. We had to change 3 of our 7 rooms our family had. Comforter on the bed was dingy very bad experience. I filed a complaint but haven’t heard anything back from Baymont customer service regarding my complaint yet.
