Decent little spotfive minutes from the beach, friendly staff very clean just wish the parking situation was better than what it was
- 5/5
Everything was very good there wasn't anything about this place that I didn't like and me and my family will definitely be beck for another stay
- 0.5/5
Nothing AC/fan didn’t work properly and smelled of mildew; coffee maker only worked first day then quit; check in was at 3:00 and no one in the office
- 2.5/5
It had a cold A/C and the room was pretty clean. It was definitely dated and the pool was closed. It would've been nice to know the pool wasn't going to be available prior to booking. Probably a good idea to call the property before booking if the pool is an amenity you're wanting.
- 1.5/5
Owner/manager was very nice In need of repairs
- 5/5
Affordable and clean. Centrally located to everything. All was well.
- 3.5/5
the room was clean and they bring breakfast items to your door in the morning. The location is great. The staff is so nice and they are very thoughtful. The rooms are outdated. Very dark and old feeling room. The restrooms are very tiny. It felt like staying in a room from the early 80s.
- 2/5
Good everything was close bye Woke up with bite marks on my body
- 0.5/5
Nothing, it was filthy with mold and roaches. The location is great, that’s about it. The filth is unimaginable. There’s mold, roaches, and it smells like pet urine.
- 5/5
The convenience and is dog friendly
- 5/5
Always a great stay, staff is very welcoming and helpful and enjoy the room themes.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 3/5
Location Age of facility room can be updated. Breakfast irrelevant.
- 4/5
The parking was great. Room was nice. Breakfast was good. Location was walking distance to all the shops. Only set back was pool was not in use.
- 4/5
Always friendly and comfy. The only thing is past two times we stayed there, the TV didn’t work. They said cable was out. It’s always nice to have the TV on after a day at the beach to kick back at night instead of watching smart phone. Otherwise all good for the price.
- 3/5
Apparently they did not have cable It’s ok - we enjoyed the beach all day !
- 4.5/5
Maybe it was due to the weather but it felt slightly muggy even with the ac set to 69 or 70 but despite this, the entire experience was great
- 5/5
It has a good vibe ?
- 5/5
The service was excellent friendly staff make you feel welcome. Rooms are spacious, clean close proximity to everything. I can’t say enough about the staff. He is great and very friendly. I recommend to anyone who wants to go and spend time there at the beach to stay at Amelia’s.
- 4.5/5
The room was well priced, clean and with in walking distance of bars, beach and restaurants.
- 5/5
clean room, good bed, and bonus breakfast delivered to room little outdated but hospitality was exceptinal
- 2.5/5
people were very friendly at the office
- 2/5
The shower cleaning seemed incomplete: the shower doors had water droplets that were not wiped off or dry. There were groups of other guests that were congregating out on the doorway/ stairway (in-between our room) of their rooms drinking, talking until three or four a.m. The shower had mold in the ceiling and the gifted bar soap was not enough for two guests.
- 4/5
All was good!
- 5/5
Everyone's really friendly. If something goes wrong, they're on it right off
- 5/5
Pet friendly, easy location to get to, very clean. The room was alot bigger than I expected. The front office people are super nice and helpful! I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. No complaints, everything was great.
- 4/5
They need electronic changing facalitys
- 3/5
central location a plus, bathroom was small, hotel is an older property, breakfast not good, they do deliver to your door.
- 5/5
Always a great stay at Amelia’s Landing. The property owners are so friendly and welcoming. Location is close to the beach, dining and night life.
- 5/5
Awesome and quaint hotel - we have stayed multiple times and will stay again. Great service and excellent amenities.
- 5/5
This is my go to place to start while on the island. See you next yr!
- 2/5
The price that is expected for this hotel is absurd. The location is perfect and to stay in such a rundown hotel is crazy. There is no reason that with the prices that are expected to be paid at this hotel, that there are upgrades that aren't being done. With a location that is making at least $18000.00 in one weekend could improve the rooms.
- 4/5
Owner was very nice and the two queen bed room was great for the price!
- 4/5
The beds were super comfortable and the staff was great. The TV didn’t work well. Overall it was a good stay.
- 5/5
We had a great experience - even woke up to orange juice and muffins at the door waiting on us in the morning. When we go back we will stay there again. the male at the front desk was so nice and helpful. It was a nice time for sure
- 1/5
I thought this place had good enough reviews for me and my two kids. The place is old and run down. Everything is rusty. There was hair stuck in the old towels and I also saw bugs stuck in one of the wash clothes. I checked out early and washed all of our stuff in hot water. There is also only a shower and it barely worked. It was hard to wash the sand off our bodies and to wash my 4 year old. The people were sweet and it’s an ok place to “rough” it, but I have two kids and it wasn’t the right environment for them.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean rooms , walking dusts de to Nigth life.
- 4/5
Very friendly and helpful. Nice pool too
- 5/5
The manager was amazing. He went out of his way to welcome us
- 1/5
This place is way overrated. On Expedia it shows an 8.8 rating. I would rate it a 4.0 rating at best. The pool area was totally rundown. The bed is very hard and uncomfortable and outdated. It wasn’t even a queen size bed. It was a double. It was wet and moldy in the room. I will never stay here again nor will I trust Expedia’s ratings.
- 5/5
Very good!
- 4/5
Hotel is nice, no trills or frills. It’s an old hotel so not perfect. Bed is comfortable, room is small but ok for a couple, did need a small dresser or cubbies as had to live out of a suitcase. Pool was nice & clean. Close to shops & restaurants.
- 4/5
Each room had it's own name ,and picture's to go with the name. The pool was nice.
- 4/5
I was disappointed. I have stayed at Amelia‘s before. In fact, the reason we stayed there this time was because we liked it so much before the cost was also much more than we spent before and more than the other hotel that was down the street that had better ratings.Everything was OK except the bathroom even though it was clean it was so outdated. It really needed around the shower, renovated, and the clean material they use were overpowering as far as Oder goes.
- 5/5
Convenient location easy to check in and out
- 5/5
We loved the location of Amelia’s Landing. It is walking distance from shops, dining, and rentals. The rooms were each themed with a historical figure in aviation. The little details went over well with me. I loved how the hotel owner personally boxed and delivered our breakfast. We even got 10 percent off of our golf cart rental at Turpin cart rentals for staying at our hotel. We will be returning again.
- 5/5
Good customer service
- 5/5
Perfect for a low price weekend getaway!
- 5/5
Always a great place to stay.
- 3/5
Honestly I don't know why we go to this town, we live next to South Padre, it's beyond my comprehensive why we drive way up there when the only bright spot is the beach l, and Bernie's beach house dollar beers... I guess it's just somewhere to go... Honestly this is one of the better hotels in town, and it's not that great... Sorry.
- 5/5
Great cozy place to stay
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and everything I needed for my stay at an affordable rate.
- 2/5
The pictures on line must be photoshopped. The window style ac barely kept up. It had gaps from inside/ out so warm are was coming in. Same for the front door and smell of cigarette smoke coming in also from those sitting out front. The bed was well worn. The shower grout was very dirty and grimy as were the base boards. Check in was nice and courteous.
- 5/5
Service was great! Nice and clean, comfy. Continental breakfast to order delivered to our door. Pool area was nice. Parking is cramped for any bigger trucks/boat towers. Only complaint is the single bed rooms are definitely small. But would absolutely recommend for the price point and would stay again.
- 5/5
Kinda disappointed in the breakfast choices but overall great hotel for the price
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms, fun bfast options, laid back pool, close to everything
- 4/5
It was decent
- 5/5
Great place friendly clean I’ll stay there again when in Port A.
- 5/5
Really nice place to relax and unwind👍
- 4/5
always enjoy Port Aransas, Amelia's landing has been here for some time now. the place needs an update but still very comfy got what I needed which was lots of rest. towels had some stains, vent in bathroom needed major cleaning and pool could use some new chairs. But overall nice/polite staff good simple breakfast and great location. thank you
- 5/5
I have to say the staff went above and beyond. They honesty seemed to want to make our stay the best. They gave us info of the local area and things to do. They offered us any thing we needed. All we had to do was ask. Now there are a few, worn areas on the stairs and outside areas. This in no way took away from our wonderful trip. I do know some, people would expect perfection so I’m being honest. I would defiantly go back for future visits but negotiate the price per night.
- 3/5
The air conditioning didn’t get cold enough and the TV didn’t work.
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful. The rooms were clean and AC was cold.
- 5/5
The owner is amazing. Breakfast is from local bakery and is always fresh and delicious. Rooms are clean and absolute love the theme of each room.
- 5/5
central location , friendly staff , overall a great value . parking is somewhat tight .
- 5/5
Awesome place staff was great. Right it the middle of everything
- 5/5
It was great and it was refreshing to have kind of an old fashioned hotel room and have an actual key than a key card that deactivates so much. The staff was very nice and welcoming :)
- 4/5
It’s an older property thus the affordable rates. That said it’s well kept and all of the staff was polite and friendly.
- 3/5
Bathroom was dirty. Shower was dirty. Shower had no water pressure, and made it difficult to rinse and bathe.
- 4/5
It was very convenient and staff were very friendly..it’s an older place so the room had a smell, the floors weren’t mopped and the refrigerator didn’t work very well
- 5/5
Lots of fun great location close to everything very walkable
- 2/5
This place needs an update, I was not comfortable in the sagging beds and room that was not dirty but felt like it could be with marks and scuffs all over walls as well as what looked like mold in the bathroom. I almost left the first day we came, but stayed due to high costs on the island to double pay for something. Good lactation but i would have rather stayed nicer 8 mins away.
- 5/5
The service was great, and the condition of the property was better than expected.
- 5/5
My stay at Amelia’s Landing was awesome and I can’t wait to go back :)
- 3/5
The heat/air unit was very loud so if your a sound sleeper, you might not have a problem with the noise. The shower had no force so getting soap off was difficult. Glad I didn’t have to wash my hair. Had several things to plug in (watch, phone, laptop X2) and one of the outlets didn’t work. We could also hear the people next door but again, if your a sound sleeper, you shouldn’t have a problem.
- 5/5
Its an older hotel but it is well maintained and clean. The manager at the front desk that checked me in was very nice. The mattress was a bit soft and in need of replacement. Otherwise, this hotel provides good value for the money.
- 5/5
I always stay at Amelia's. Nice and attentive owner and staff. Excellent location. Near the IGA, Irie's, Tortugas, Island Cafe, which we frequent. And very easy to take Avenue A to Cutoff Road to get the the city pavilion and Marina. We did not have our dog, but could have.
- 4/5
The rooms air conditioner wasn’t that great. We were hot the entire time. And this was in October.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service
- 5/5
Clean and quiet, even on a busy weekend. Fisherman friendly facility and staff
- 5/5
staff was very nice . great location in town .parking a little tight .
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at Amelia’s Landing. The room was nice and clean. Management was also very nice. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
There was a small problem with the A/C when a got to the room, but they quickly moved me to a new room while they took care of the unit.
- 5/5
very comfortable beds
- 5/5
My wife need it to call the office that first night after that everything was fine
- 4/5
The hotel is in need of some repair. Our shower faucet handle didn’t work right. You could easily burn yourself. The toilet seat was broken. But it was clean. If you need to have a pet-friendly place it’s okay.
- 2/5
I had a non-smoking room and the room had a cigarette in the shower with the smell of cigarette. The shower head was broken, also the knob where you put the shower temperature was broken too. There was a dead roach in the room, and it was gross. Although, the staff was friendly and attentive to us while we stayed in the room.
- 5/5
We love the friendly service and unique décor. Breakfast is delivered right outside our door each morning. You can walk to everything.
- 5/5
Only shower, no tub, only complaint
- 5/5
Love the different aviation decor in each room.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, ideal location, and good continental breakfast. Definitely enjoyed my stay there.
- 3/5
Old building, very little hot water
- 5/5
We have stayed there many times over the years. My go place to stay for fishing trips. Keepers pier is a 15 min walk or 3 min drive. Rooms always clean and the freaking ac always great. Staff is great, very friendly even if your like me and check in at 11:30pm. Has that nice small town feel not the corporate style. Nice and quite. Will be staying there again. Highly recommend to anyone thats not there to just party. I will be back there next month for another fishing trip at port A.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast and drinks were delivered to our door. Small pool available with tables and chairs. BBQ pit is also available. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Price is a little high because it was the weekend on the island, but it was worth the stay. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Clean and super friendly staff. Hotel is located in a great spot for food, drinks & of course the beach.
- 4/5
All the rooms are different. Ours was about Amelia Airheart.
- 5/5
It was clean
- 2/5
Room stuck of mildew from the AC unit.
- 3/5
Staff was super friendly and outgoing. Rooms were just OK. For over $300 a night would expect more. Very tiny windows that you can’t even see outside. Not very soundproof. Have no one above you but you can hear your neighbors next-door.
- 4/5
The service was very friendly and the whole “breakfast in a box” left on your doorstep in the morning is a cute idea. The beds were comfortable and the room was as expected. My only issue was that the linens/pillow on one of the beds had a strong odor of mildew. It was something that I could get over for one night but if I was staying multiple nights I would’ve requested a linen change. Overall, very cute!
- 5/5
Todo más que perfecto
- 5/5
Love the themes of the room. Love how cozy and clean this place is. Location is awesome. And it is locally owned which means we can give back to the community and not the big companies. Definitely recommend anyone to stay here.
- 5/5
The owner and all employees were more than helpful and accommodating.
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 5/5
thanks for a wonderful stay
- 5/5
Quiet place not far from beach
- 5/5
Very nice and clean room
- 3/5
Overall the property is ok. Small cottage. The AC sounds terrible. Parking is ok but be careful while getting out. The property sits on the on the main road. The breakfast is ok. It is convenient as per the location.
- 4/5
People were friendly
- 4/5
Very friendly staffs. Convenient place.
- 5/5
Cutest place, close to everything, super clean. Will be going back!
- 5/5
Cute, comfortable room. Nice decor. Not large, but it had all of the essentials.
- 4/5
Nice place. The staff was freindly. Pool area was pleasant.
- 4/5
Nice little clean motel!
- 5/5
The property was excellent value for the money. It is an older motel but it is obvious that the owners take a lot of pride in the place and keep it up well. We would stay there again on our next visit.
- 5/5
This hotel is the perfect location for me as I like to walk a lot. Staff has always been excellent and helpful. Rooms are clean, (lots of old seemingly easily cleanable stains on walls) bedding clean. Good, generous, easy no contact breakfast foods delivered daily. My first choice to stay in Port Aransas!
- 5/5
Great little place
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay and the fact they had pet-friendly rooms.
- 4/5
I liked the different room themes, it was cozy. A little old but good for what we went for
- 4/5
Good location by restaurants. Also close to the back way to the pier so you coupd avoid lights and traffic. Leave early for ferry or wait is an hour. Can go through Corpus to avoid all that too. Breakfast was good. Service was good.
- 5/5
The airplane theme throughout the hotel was awesome. Management was attentive to our needs throughout our stay.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff! Short stay with my daughter, not far from the beach.
- 3/5
Realizing it's summer time and you're going to have to overpay for any hotel or motel, but at neraly $200 per night, one would hope for a better experience. Very small bathroom, so changing in private was difficult. They have lights oncall all night right outside the only window which have blinds that hardly block out the light, so your room doesn't get very dark. I could go on, but overall I was disappointed. Next time, I'll spend that extra $100 or so to stay in a larger hotel chain where I know what to expect. Hampton Inn was nearly $300, but I know i would've been much more comfortable.
- 4/5
Clean room and comfy bed that’s all we needed. Rooms are very small but i don’t need a couch and all the extras - we came for the beach and didn’t spend much time in our room except to shower and sleep. Bed linens were a little worn - owner was super nice. Would stay again and the price was great considering it was at the height of summer season when these guys need to make money for the year.
- 1/5
The rates are way to high for the type of room, We found a better rate in another hotel with better rooms for our next vacations in August, if the rates were little bit more decent I will stay there again, but with those prices I can find something better somewhere else.
- 3/5
Paid an outrageous rate for a 2 star motel 350.00 for 1 night. Prime time but not worth the $$. Window unit A/C never cooled the room effectively. Service was very good at reception and owners onsite at checkout.
- 5/5
Nice staff and bed are soo comfortable! Clean swimming pool !
- 5/5
Small room but comfortable and clean except for dust on the floors. Staff cleaned them the next day and all was good. I had trouble because of the stairs, but I will know to ask for a handicapped roomthe next time. Good stay
- 4/5
Nice little motel. I cleaned the air filter on air conditioner because it was filthy. That was only problem.
