Rooms were clean, no issues and would recommend. One thing is they should keep a small broom/dust pan in the room with the kitchenette. Overall we had a good time. They even have the golf cart rentals there so no need to go elsewhere

The staff was nice and friendly, they answered all of our questions. The room was clean and comfortable, we will book here again.

The room was clean and comfortable and cheap for the location. We were only there to sleep but the walls are super thin you can hear everyone outside and upstairs and next door… and none of the small lights worked only the over head light worked. But it’s close to the beach cheap clean…

Hot tubs been broken for months, lots of Gnats in our room. But overall, Staff was nice, shower was hot. Breakfast was good. Air conditioning was noisy. You can tell if someone is staying above you. Not bad for the price, we would stay again.

Breakfast was good. The floors were FILTHY (12” tile and grout) had to wear shoes to get around in any area. Lots of door hinges were rusted thru and bottoms of doors rust/rotted.

The location is always amazing Beds uncomfortable, roach in bathroom, too much outside light coming in from window, too much noise and stomping from the people staying above us, tv speaker possibly blown and couldn’t listen or watch tv.

I had fishing poles stolen from out my car in parking lot and they didn't want to revue the footages from security cameras so I could have suspects prosecuted

Location was great and breakfast great, also happy hour was a great idea. Trash pick up in parking lot could be better and also require dogs on leash! I'm dog friendly and have my dog on leash.

I didn’t like that booking.com messed up the uploaded photos attached to the room I booked and we got stuck with a tiny room for the entire weekend without the amenities shown in the picture. It was my birthday weekend so that really sucked. We went back to the office to correct the issue and they said the room pictured was already booked so we had to endure the tiny amenity less room.

Great location. They do offer breakfast but, I'm never up early to eat. The bed hurt my back and hip. Nit my bed so that's a given. Sounded like a herd of buffalo in room above us. Over all it was good.

Breakfast was great and it was located close to the beach. I could hear the neighbors' TV for most of the night, which made it difficult for me to sleep.

Our stay was wonderful. Rene was especially kind and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and convenient, and the happy hour with two free drinks between 5–7 PM was a great perk. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming—highly recommend!

Room is nice. Pool was very dirty. Hot tub was out if order. We love using the pool and hot tub. Heavy set lady at the front desk wouldn't let me upgrade to a little kitchenette. Found out next morning that we absolutely could have upgraded. Guess it was too much work for her. We have stayed there many times, we've always loved it. I heard it was under new management, not impressed at all. Breakfast wasn't as good as before.

Hot tub never works! Harassed by office although I understood it was 1 am but we were being quite enjoying ourselves in front of our own door on the corner so we werent sharing with another guest other then our friends.. they even kept our deposits spite use completely clean the rooms we stayed in.. last time they will earn our business..

This was the fourth time I stayed at this hotel. Location to the beach. Clean spacious room. Easy to park at hotel. Helpful staff. Had golf carts for rent at the hotel. This was convenient to pick up and drop off. Quiet. I enjoyed my stay every time.

Booked the room that had a recliner on picture. No recliner in room. So all you can sit on was a dinner table chairs not comfortable at all. Everything else was good.

The property was excellent as it always is when we stay. I booked thru Expedia and the front desk over charged my credit card. They told me it was a fee charged by Expedia. I talked to Expedia and they said they didn’t charge any fees to get an itemized copy of my bill which still has not been sent to me. I guess keeping that supposed fee was worth losing a customer.

The assigned room had roaches, sand all over the floor, and it smelled like smoke. Was given a new room and that room was the same if not worse. so i cleaned the first room that was given. couldnt really enjoy the pool since a bunch of kids were constantly diving in the pool and my kids didnt even have a chance to swim cause they were all over the place. but i enjoyed port a as much as i could.

Cleaning staff were good. Manager and Supervisor were very poor at communicating efficiently and effectively with customers staying there. Often just blatantly LYING! about Internet/WiFi being fixed. Internet/coverage was bad to non- existent in a large area of the building. It took 16 DAYS! To get it working! The picture on this survey is NOT A TRUE REPRESENTATION OF THE ROOMS!! Room was ok. It needs some improvements as there were old stains in the tub. The rooms are thin. I could hear both sides of the room and idk if there were some arguing going on or simply someone having a good time, but the yelling was very obvious.the staff up front are very nice and their breakfast has improved since the last time we stayed.

it was dirty at this place it was loud! the front desk girl wanted to tell me all her problems when i got there so dodged all her advances at trying to let me know “ppl praying on her downfall” THEN it smelled like cigarettes in my room the first night it smelled so bad i couldnt sleep it stunk so bad like miserably bad. someone definitely smoked in our room prior to us getting there. the floor was so dirty all of my socks are black with how bad they cleaned my room and the guy next door was so loud you could HEAR EVERYTHING! hanging out outside like some cheap prostitute hotel/ motel and there was alot of sketchy ppl that were not staying there walking around outside!!!!! it was so sketchy. i would never stay here again and i would never recommend this place. we paid double what other places cost and we got this terrible experience let alone all the pics lies it looked nothing like the pics. other hotels give everything so the Alister Inn hotel can give nothing!

We showed up around 6 in the afternoon just to check in an drop stuff off in the room, when we walked in it was really hot in there an the ac was on high but barely blowing, so I decided to go back to the office to let them know about it an they said they would have the maintenance go check it, so we left to enjoy the rest of the day and around midnight we cake back to find the room exactly the same hot, went back to the office an lady I had talked to was already gone, so the lady that was there told me that there were no rooms available to move me to so I told her I would need my money back so I could go elsewhere, so when I asked for my money back they sure did have a room available quick, we moved are stuff to the new room an it was the same way, by that time it was 3:45 in the morning, so I was real tired an they didn’t have no more rooms available so I didn’t sleep for the rest of the night, plus we had to be at dolphin docks at 7 for a fishing trip, I strongly recommend for no one to waste their time an money at that place

Breakfast was fine. Typical continental. Do not rent a cart from here. Out of six carts, only one had a beach pass on it. No Bluetooth or speakers. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

The place is pretty gross. There was a bloody booger on the inside of the shower curtain, the towels had stains on them, toothpaste on the walls (at least I hope it was toothpaste), and the door was badly broken like someone got angry in a fight or something. The mattress on one bed felt just like the springs while the other mattress was comfortable but the sheets were put on inside out. I guess you get what you pay for but I felt very gross being in that room. The girl up front was not very friendly either but that was the least of my worries.

Check-in was quick, but they charged the first night a day early and added a $100 hold for incidentals at the desk. When we got to the room, the TV wasn’t even plugged in, and after a few trips to the front desk to get help, it finally worked, though it had a constant buzzing echo. The bathroom had visible water damage and mold near the shower, with sloppy caulking. Towels were folded nicely but looked dingy, not fresh. The bed was hard, and even though we booked a double, we only got one bed. The pool was tiny and had sketchy-colored water, and we skipped the free breakfast since it looked limited and unappetizing. Overall, staff were polite, but the property needs a serious refresh,cleaner rooms, maintenance, and more accurate photos of what guests can actually expect.

The room was decent and clean. You can tell it’s an older property, but for the convenience and easy access to everything and short commute to the beach, it was great. Breakfast options were good, decent amenities, clean room.

Every towel, and I mean all of them, were covered in hair and bugs and brown stuff. I took videos of this. There was also some random people roaming the lot at 3am. I was woken up at 8:30am by knocking at the door, I tried ignoring it since I was in bed having not got back to the hotel till around 3am. The knocking got harder and more aggressive so I thought maybe it was the police letting me know my car was broken into or something. I answered the door in my underwear and it was just housekeeping. However I was happy to ask for new towels since I couldn’t use any of the ones I had. Unfortunately since the room itself was so different incredibly from the listing and the experience was so far from the reviews. I’m not sure I trust using Travelocity anymore.

We stayed here for quick trip to the beach. The location of hotel was great. The hotel itself was ok but not sure I would stay here again. Didn't have major issues with the hotel besides our door knob being semi broken. The guests that stayed same night with us were so bad. They like to stand outside and you can hear everything. It was so noisy so we didn't sleep good at all. Can hear everything above you. I also wish the employees would wear some type of uniform or even a Tshirt with hotel name. Also if you want ice, one ice machine is broken and the other, well you have to beat the people who are filling chests for fishing. Breakfast was ok.

This motel is okay if you are just looking for a place to sleep and shower. I immediately noticed that the room was warm and humid. I voiced my concern to the clerk and she put me in another room where the AC was in working order. The location is good. I booked my stay for a Sunday, the rate was slightly under $100, however, when considering booking Saturday, I noticed that the rates were drastically higher, like over $300 for a Saturday night. I travel often and this motel is definitely not worth spending over $300 a night!

The recent 5 star reviews are all misleading. Dirty rooms - pubic hair on bathroom floor, old moldy peach round gummies in cabinet, dirty glassware. Internet doesn't work for any rooms except, conveniently, the front desk. More than $250/night for dirty room, no wifi, and cable tv that is small and barely works. Most channels do not work. Pool was green, hot tub empty. I came here based on the recent 5 star reviews, which were very misleading. Next time I visit Port A, I will spend more and go elsewhere.

This place was absolutely filthy. The carpets were dirty, the bathrooms were dirty , and the sheets looked like they hadn’t been changed – full of marks and unpleasant smells. I felt uncomfortable the entire stay. Definitely not worth the money. Avoid if you care about cleanliness.

Perfect location close to everything and in walking distance. Room was fine and price was good. Only thing I would say, it was like the floor was not moped. Floor was really dirty. You dont see it until you look at the bottom of your feet and socks. It was gross. Other than than, good hotel to stay at.

The room was ok. Not super clean, but not disgusting. Nothing fancy, but no bugs, so we were happy. Staff was not very friendly. And breakfast was sad compared to most places. Was told the had appetizers from 5-7, we went down at 5, and there was nothing.

the hotel was good clean conmy beds and pillows had enough towels etc for my family of 4 but we stayed days and they never checked on us we had to go to them to get more towels trash bags ,tp and I only only one ice machine worked and barely I was usually out . they had a pool it was ok small though and hot temp, a hot tub the we didn't touch it was covered. and there was signs "to watch for tar" it was all over our feet and we couldn't find the source and it didn't come off. but overall it was a good place the breakfast was good too sausage bacon busicuts and gravy juice milk, ff yogurt. and the 100 deposit didn't take long to get back on my card

Our room hadn’t been properly cleaned from the previous guest. shower was sandy and dirty there was random bits of cheese and other foods in the drawers of the room! House keeping didn’t really clean anything while we were there besides taking the bathroom trash and left coffee one day! But other than that it was a good stay just not very clean at all!!

Family vacation, hotel is pet friendly. Breakfast provided, they even had cookies and a happy hour during the week. It met our needs, but would prefer a big doggie relief area.

The other guests were very talkative and friendly. The staff was attentive. The breakfast selection was incredible. It was a great stay.

Worst place we have ever stayed. Ac didn’t work. Water all over the floor’ the door wouldn’t shut properly. Towels was hand towels to shower with definitely disappointed. Called multiple times to get things fixed but unfortunately they didn’t.

The staff was awesome. This is a low cost ,low frills, lower price hotel smack dab in the cool area of Port Aransas. Adjust expectations accordingly. We had a wonderful stay. Very convenient to the beach and attractions. They do serve bfast with eggs and bacon.... Jimmy Dean sandwichs... And all the normal stuff. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. Had noise thru adjoining room door. All said, we would stay here again.

Pros: the a/c was amazingggg; close to the beach & good restaurants; staff was kind and attentive; room was clean and spacious. Cons: we should’ve been in a 2 bedroom suite, but were in a room with 2 beds; low water pressure in shower; extremely noisy at night, all night long, although we could not figure out where the noises were coming from. Sounded like furniture being moved along the walls, floor and ceiling. Loud bangs throughout the night. We were above the office and had nobody above us. Sounded like remodeling however outside of our suite was quiet. Very strange. Pool and pool area is kind of small, but otherwise ok.7

Easy check-in, Otis spunkmeyer cookies as a welcome gift, to drink happy hour and breakfast. This is way better than I anticipated for the price.

Easy check in, FANTASTIC location, mostly clean and comfortable room. There was some noise from the parking lot/pool but the A/c fan was enough to drown the sound so we could sleep. Breakfast was good (pretty standard) with fresh apple/banana, yogurt, something hot daily like pigs-in-a-blanket, and cereals/waffles, etc. Golf cart rental from the lobby was convenient and no hassle. Would stay heeds again. Good value!

The rooms smelled bad. The outside is not clean. The breakfast is horrible. They do not have control over what Expedia is putting out there and not checking to see that they are overbooked for the same room. They expected 4 people to sleep in one bed. Nobody is being notified of this overbooking before hey get there- you just get to your vacation to a horrible surprise. We ended sleeping on the floor. They didn’t have enough pillows. They fixed my second night but unfortunately ruined our 1st stay. Could be a great place for the location they are in. They need new systems in place

Expedia booked the wrong type of room is what we were told when our rooms didn’t match the description of what we reserved and paid for. One room was completely wet and smelled like a crime scene. The other just smelled really bad. The breakfast was horrible. No eggs.

We rented two rooms our family said they really enjoyed their room we also enjoyed our room we had a deluxe to bed room with the stove and refrigerator was very handy probably could use more silverware and bigger frying pan! We enjoyed the pool even though a lot of people complained it was too small there was probably 15 people in it and it wasn't bad at all.

Needs a lot of upkeep. Door is old and I had trouble opening the door.

Clean and well managed. The breakfast bar is full of selections. Staff is friendly and professional. Great location and reasonably priced. Not perfect like The Wynn :) but you can tell the entire crew is working to maintain a great place for guests to stay. We will keep coming back!!

We want to thank Chris & Renee, they were very helpful and kind. We are so thankful that they went beyond helping us! They made our day! They didn't know this but it was our 49th wedding anniversary on Friday so Saturday they gave a gift that we'll always be thankful for. May God bless them & their family abundantly! The room was clean & comfortable, pillows & carpet can use a little update though. ❤️🙏

It was awful. The room wasn't ready until 4 PM. The tub was so gross I wouldn't wash my feet in it. The floors were sopping wet. The bed covers were from the 1980s. The picture on the website is 100% false. This wasn't the room at all! The pool was the smallest I've seen. My son's Walmart pool is bigger. The water in the 1980's hot tub is brown! No cots were available upon request (because I didn't want to put my luggage on the nasty floor).

Where do I start? Room was not the one I paid for. Was not ready by 4pm. Staff was helpful but overall experience was just not it! AC was not working properly. Also they put a family upstairs with dogs and all we heard was running back and forth. Worst experience ever. Will not recommend or go back. We were refunded the difference from the room I purchased from the room I was given. But it was an inconvenience.

Rooms are adequate. Most staff were super friendly and accommodating. We ran into one growler, but just change our plans to avoid. Hot tub nice. Pool very nice. Location great.
