Please call in advance if your flight arrives after 5pm. They will put your key in the lock box so you can get it. I arrived at 1am and assumed someone would be in the office and unfortunately had to get another hotel for the night .Other than that great location and nice pool.

Parking was ample and the AC in the room kept it very cool. Lovely experience all around.

Easy, free parking. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic! Bathroom needs updating. Bed was comfortable, pillows were not. Wall unit air conditioner worked great

There was not really an ice machine. It appears that they receive ice bags in a freezer. There was debris in front of that machine. The on site manager waited for as we were 30 minutes late for our check in. The room was clean and the window AC worked fine.

Location Tub/shower was disgusting with glazing scraped off in many places, ceiling damaged from room above flooding at some point, wall and baseboard damaged from A/C leaking for who knows how long.

The rooms are very old. In need of refurbishing the total property. Blanket was dirty that was given to us. It should be a $99 a night hotel.

Great location, staff was great! They fulfilled every request. Quite easy parking, right next to the rooms. Can’t say enough great things about this place

That the beach was across the street. Very disappointed and won't return. Too much money for dirty bathroom floor, dirty microwave, and dirty freezer! Pics on website weren't anything like our room. It was old and outdated. Bathroom floor was dirty, microwave was sticky and dirty, freezer had frozen stuck food spots in it, beds were uncomfortable. Out of 5 lounge chairs, only 2 could be used. The straps were broken on the chairs where you sit on them.

Checkin was good but room was not acceptable. The walls were rough, with large spots of paint missing. The bathroom shower was scary and the door looked like someone tried to kick it open.

Well centered around everything. It was easy to get around and the area was great. Rooms were a bit outdated, rooms could use a bit of TLC.

This was out 3ed stay this time we got no service at all no towels trash emptied nothing. For the price thats the least that could be done. Dirty

Very nice property with gorgeous landscaping you can tell they care about. Customer service and check in was easy inside of the bodega. Pool was well maintained and the room was clean and very spacious. We were impressed with our stay and would definitely stay again!

It’s near a beach I am alleging that this place is actually a money laundering spot I’ll provide my reasonable assumption. My main issue is that they have Check in time of only 5 hours out of a 24 hour day. 3-7pm check-in time is crazy especially on the weekends during a government shutdown. As a hotel your priority should be filling rooms no matter the timeframe your costumer gets in. Moreover if you have a restricted check in time then fix that to all your booking websites. That brings me to the next thing. I think it’s run for money laundering cause it’s registration area is in a wanna be small bodega. The place was eerily quiet yet only the windows closest to the shop look like some people would be there. There are way better hotel all up and down the street.

You get what you pay for for this motel, that’s fine with me. It was a great budget stay. The linens were comfortable and clean, but don’t expect a super nice facility. The bathroom definitely needed to be updated, minor maintenance things like the tub missing a plug and grout being stained or needing to be replaced, and major updates like the drywall in the ceiling falling apart and being water damaged. But for less than $100, I can’t complain because it was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked great. The location is nice, in a decent area and we were able to walk right to the beach in under five minutes. Check-in was easy at the little convenience store and we had no problems.

Check in was tough. Room basic but very clean and comfortable. Property outside small but well maintained. On main highway so some traffic noise. Not walkable to anything but other hotels.

When I got there I noticed one of the beds had a bent frame. I assumed the owner AP knew this because he was so attentive to the cameras that he knew exactly what car i was in when I initially met him and that I had company with me. when the frame finally busted he charged me $75, plus another $60 for the company i had. Guy called himself giving me a discount but really the room was gross it had a weird smell to it and in the bathroom there was this marshmallow looking foam around the window seal. i realize that the place would be outdated would i could live with . but honestly i dont think this place should be operating. very dirty , after i saw the insects and bugs i had to leave in the middle of my stay .

This place was nice ..it was across from beach.. now its not all pretty in the room.. so if youre planning on being romantic this is not the place! The room we had we used only to shower and sleep.. beds were comfy.. new decor would be nice.. looked and reminded me of back in the 80s motel.... take your own shampoo and toiletries.. i think there was only hand soap provided... but the pool was awesome!!

The Palms on Ocean is a very quiet and clean property. It is very close to the beach (walkable) and 10 minutes from major stores/restaurants. The staff was very friendly and didn't hesitate to offer advice on how to get around town (Ride Circuit)! I would definitely stay there again!!

For the price, it was great! There’s no doubt that it needs some updating done, but it was an easy walk to the beach. There were restaurants within walkable distance.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave information on how to best get around pompano beach with the ride circuit app. Room and pool was clean. Downside it’s a little far of a walk to get to the restaurants, but using the ride circuit app was simple, and free, they do except tips. Overall we had a great stay.

It’s clean for the most part. The beds clean and pressed and the housekeeping is great at making the room presentable, disinfected, and the toilet and sink are very clean. Cons: towels need replacing for sure, they’re clean but are clearly showing its wear. A new paint job also wouldn’t hurt, the shower we had in room 6 could use a remodel. Ceiling tiles, a couple of them, could use some replacing as well and walls should be repainted. Overall it was great for the price and location. I would stay there again personally but if they fixed the little signs of aging, this would for SURE be a hidden gem

No refund, no alternative solution, and not even a formal complaint report against the hotel. Absolutely no effort to resolve the issue. Both the hotel and Expedia showed a complete lack of professionalism and customer care.

It's a motel not a five star Marriott so keep that in mind. The location is excellent with a 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff and owners are very nice. We didn't use the pool but others did. It could use so deep cleaning but that said we would love to return when Trump is finished picking on us Canadians. So see you in 3 years I guess.

The staff at Palms was very attentive. The grounds looked freshly updated and having a convenience store on site was great. The beach was easily accessible even though there is a 20 story condo high rise going in across the street. Be aware there is no ocean view anymore and pics should be updated on Expedia, but we would stay again.

When entering the room it wreaked of Pine Sol so bad that we had to vent the room for hours. Later on, we found out why the strong cleaner smell. Underneath the sink were leaking pipes, dirty pots and pans with mold, and a smell that immediately made my cousin vomit. Cockroaches came out of the sink at sundown and crawled around the kitchen as well. The sheets and pillows were stained and dirty too. If that wasn’t enough, there was a crackhead tweaking on drugs for hours yelling obscenities. After we went out to dinner, I had my family leave the room and I booked them another room at another hotel instead. This place is a waste of money and is not safe. It is dirty and even though the staff is nice and it’s right by the beach, it is not worth it.

(So much for an anticipated run along the beach ahead of a feast!). The room was clean, it was quiet, the door was a bit scary, but as one guy was painting and tarmac laying the drive, I believe it will be a nice little find for an old fashioned Mom & Pop place that is sadly disappearing fast around here. We did not require use of any facilities. Good pillows.

Had Old Florida charm, with modern conveniences, escatly what I was looking for. We enjoyed our stay and wanted to be able to walk to a near by party we were attending. It was almost right across the street, and a perfect short walk. Hoping they are finished with the nearby construction soon.

We ended up not staying here because we couldn't get there in time to check in. Check in had to be before 7 pm and we would have had to check in around 11 pm. My fault that I didn't see that until after I had booked. Also I had to eat a $100 plus charge as it was non refundable.

Everything was updated and worked perfectly, very clean and spacious. Pool was excellent, gated for privacy and you were still able to smell the ocean. I would definitely recommend The Palms to stay at, I'm positive that I will stay here again.

I will never use Travelocity again. This place was unacceptable, I only stayed one night and they refused a credit. Once I saw the mouse droppings I had to leave. Parking was a joke. 3 partial rolls of toilet paper. Dirty Isn’t the word. Feet actually struck to floor. Pool was so dirty I couldn’t go in it. Many other things wrong.

I will never use Travelocity again. This place was unacceptable, I only stayed one night and they refused a credit. Once I saw the mouse droppings I had to leave. Parking was a joke. 3 partial rolls of toilet paper. Dirty Isn’t the word. Feet actually struck to floor. Pool was so dirty I couldn’t go in it. Many other things wrong.

For the price, a clean and comfortable lottle place, can walk to the beach and a convenient store where you checkin. Best hotel I've stayed at recently in that pruce range.

The Palms was a little more expensive, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked and I was able to get a Hot Shower. This place would probably be packed in 2 months when Florida is warmer. It’s 1 block from the Beach.

Very spacious room. Just needed a place to rest after fishing, and it was more than adequate for my needs. I really liked the full size refrigerator for an extended stay.

The room smelled. Moldy bathroom. We walked out and found another hotel. No refund. Lost $129 but had to get out of there. Other ratings were definitely misleading.

Really nice place to stay

Owner was very nice and accommodating. He went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Room was dated but very clean. He made a recommendation for dinner and it didn’t disappoint. We were there for a scuba diving excursion and were approximately 2 miles from the boat launch. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing spot to relax. Close to the beach. Great and convenient transportation to other beaches and dining options. Wonderful people. Stress free. Overall highly recommend!

It’s an older hotel but room was clean. Nice guy in office. Only bad thing was the air conditioner. Old fashion window type, was very loud when it kicked on, when it was running, and when it kicked off. Worked ok just loud.

Charming old school beach motel. Impressed that room included a full kitchen! Great value for a beach getaway.

Vintage motel. Old. Very noisy (barking dog all night), noisy neighbors. In serious needs of renovations. Didn't want to adjust the price when I had to leave a day before. So money over service.

Me and my friends stayed here for our spring break trip and it was perfect for us. Place was very affordable and the staff was very nice and accommodating. We would definitely come back!

First off, for those who are in Pompano mostly for beach time, the location of this place is perfect; it is literally a 5 minute walk. The motel itself is VERY dated and not well maintained, inside OR out, with pots of dead plants around a somewhat murky pool, a bedside light with a broken switch requiring you to get out of bed to turn it off at the wall switch, an ill-fitting , broken toilet seat,a shower curtain rod hung crookedly that makes the too small in any case shower curtain slide open constantly during a shower and a door that is very difficult to open, maintenance is pretty abysmal. No way is this place “clean”, but I guess it could be worse… the sheets looked ok but the towels were dingy and stained. Black mold in the tub and windows that apparently have NEVER been washed make it pretty drab. On the plus side, I saw no bugs and the owner(I THINK) came right up to fix my tv remote when I called to say it didn’t work. Overall, a real mixed bag experience; if you are a clean freak or like luxury, keep driving right on by The Palms on Ocean

Family run, clean comfortable and close to the beach

The shower pressure was awesome and the bed was soft...the only complaint I had was there was no spoon (or knife) to make my PB&J sandwiches to take on the dive boat with me...it was a nice little place for the price i paid...I would stay there again.

This is a quaint, vintage motel. Not a luxurious beach resort. It fit the bill for a quick weekend stay. Be sure to contact them directly for after hours check-in. They were super accommodating and nice. Easy walk to the beach and pier areas.

The fabric couch had visible spills on it. I was given a sheet and told it would be cleaned in the morning. No one showed up to clean it.

Super conveniently located. Never a problem finding parking. It's a motel, so I was not expecting a four star hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. One annoyance was the rooms did not have the little shampoo and conditioner bottles, so I had to go down to the office to get one.

Property was ok, didn’t like the fact guest weren’t allowed to smoke ANYWHERE on the property!
