Parking its not guaranteed it seems but you will probably not have any trouble, we didn’t once. The cleaners are wonderful and did more for us than expected. A few beach accessories are available and can be borrowed which is handy. Will definitely stop there again if we visit fort lauderdale or the miami region. Thanks

Yes, the poolside seating was plentiful and comfortable for all. We loved this quiet and personable little boutique oasis amid the busy streets and high rise hotels of Pompano Beach.

Great property. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The units have been updated but aren’t ultra modern. However, they are clean and the poolside and proximity to the beach cannot be beat! Will definitely return. Darren and Phillip are fantastic hosts.

Room was very clean but musty smelling when we first arrived. Discovered that the bathroom windows was open closing that helped to bring the humidity down. Darren was super kind and helpful. Small room but had everything we needed and good location right across the street from the beach.

The guesthouse has an excellent safe location, ample parking, and the room itself was spotless and tastefully decorated. The owner was particularly responsive. If I visit the Pompano Beach area again, I will surely request a room at the same place.

Excellent space for both hanging and folded clothes. Didn't use the pool, but the pool area was clean and tidy. The room cleaning was above and beyond what we expected. Will recommend the Seahorse to anyone we meet who need a place to stay in Pompano Beach.

Room is a bit dated; doesn't look like the photos. Also, I was charged $158/night when Hotels.com quoted $151/night. The owner wouldn't honor the $151 and for $7 it wasn't worth the argument.

Located in the center of the property, surrounded by pool lounge chairs; * Free parking, & easy check in / check out.... Perfect as always

The owner clearly cares about the property. There wasn't a speck of dirt on the room floor and not around the pool either. We really enjoyed our stay. Even though the place was probably built in the 60s or so, it is really well kept, even the landscaping was meticulous.

Great location across the street from the beach. Pool area and room both clean and neat, and amenities are good, unfortunately the air in the room was overwhelmingly heavy with mold and I could not stay.

I did the reservation for my mother and she said that Seahorse Guesthouse is a quiet and safe place. Darren and Phillip are great hosts, and they were always checking if she needed anything. The pool was super clean and the included beach chairs and towels are appreciated. The beach is across the street and there's a library like 4 blocks away.

I highly recommend for your next stay. Looking forward to our next trip!

perfect quiet getaway for adults

It was very quiet and peaceful. Love our room. It was very clean and cozy and the pool area was very clean and relaxing. Would stay there again.

It was easy check-in and the room was very comfortable and it was in walking distance to everything and the vibe was great. Nice pool. I would suggest anybody to stay there.

Didn’t get to interact with the staff in person, because we checked in late and left early. But they were very friendly over the phone, and very accommodating for the situation.

Location is convenient to the beach area and Fisher Pier.

The workers were all very kind and accommodating. They even provided my husband and I with beach chairs to borrow before we walked across the street to Pompano Beach area, which was wonderful just FYI. It was such a short walk to the beach and the price was very affordable! The ONLY issue I had was parking. IDK if the customer to spot ratio is off or what, but there were 2 nights where my husband and I came back to the guesthouse and all the spots were filled. It was very stressful because the owner of The Palms on Ocean & Foodmart across the road (don't stay there, just trust me, looks alone were "eww"), who had AMPLE parking (due to lack of customers I'm assuming?) will watch the lot like a hawk and have your car towed if you park there for 2 seconds. If I was GUARANTEED parking I would stay at the Seahorse Guesthouse every time I went to Florida. They're proof that customer service and genuine kindness goes a long way!

This place is so cute! They have kept mid-century charm of an old school motel and made it so much better. The entire property and rooms are immaculate. The owners were so nice and accommodating and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay pleasurable. It's super centrally located if you want to do the pier dining and shopping and Circut runs there and back no problem if you don't want to walk. We have family that live a few blocks away and will definitely be staying here every time we visit.

Check in was fine. The owner was very nice and accommodating...until we got there. There was no parking and Tow Zone signs everywhere. We walk in the room to a tiny a.c umit that was not on and once we turned it on after a few hours intil 3am it still was hot and humid in the room. Also the toilet pressure was so low we had to use bottle water to make the water level high enough to actually flush. Also the tv wasmt working it powered on but had terrible picture quality and lept making a clucking noise. So we had no parking, a.c, tv, and the toilet not flushing was enough for us to leave. We drove too many hours to not be comfortable. We jus wanted basic needs. When i contacted the owners about the issues. They said theyve never had a complaint about the room and basically said we were lying. Mind you they live in the motel and have a designated spot right in front probably looking out the window. Didn't offer to change our room or give a discount. Total waste of money i would'nt suggest this motel to anyone..also the tv didnt work and they said we lied about that too...

The building itself is a little older, but everything is clean and pristine. There is a small fridge and microwave for your restaurant leftovers! Darren the manager is an awesome guy! So friendly and considerate. The pool area is beautiful and very private. What a great stay, I would recommend to everyone!

This is a lovely boutique hotel. The room was clean, nicely decorated and the property has a nice pool and sitting area. The beach is directly across the road. This is a good value for the money.

This is the most well appointed small motel I have ever stayed at! The owner was so friendly, and the room is amazing. I didn’t get to use the heated pool or the fully equipped kitchen, so I guess I will just have to come back!

Visited for St Pat's weekend. The room was well appointed and spotless. Adored the black "Makeup" towel and took the hint. The owners were each personable and friendly. The construction across the street made for great entertainment (have you ever really thought about those people who work 10 stories up swinging product on tower cranes?) but a bit of noise and traffic issue. But that is a short term problem. Beach access and quality is excellent directly across the street. Although we enjoyed lounging at the pool just as much. Highly recommend and will return.

In good condition with 1960's feel

It was only a one night stay but we did enjoyed it - the property is very small as to some of the rooms, but very cleaned and the decor very cute and floridian - The manager was very friendly and ready to make our stay as comfortable as possible - we highly recommend this place for a very pleasant sejour there.

The Seahorse was exactly what I needed for my trip. I needed a few days to regroup in a quiet setting and the guesthouse was perfect. Darren and Phillip were so kind and helpful, the perfect hosts. A walk across the road and you are at the beach and it's a short drive to the Ft. Lauderdale airport. I needed alone time so didn't spend much time in Pompano but, if you have dogs, I saw several being walked, at the beach, and have dog friendly restaurants according to their reviews.

Daren was very professional, friendly and went out of his way to call & text me that my room was overbooked. He gave me my room at a better price was a bottle of wine for getting a queen size bed instead of a king. I will definitely come back here. It’s very cold comfortable in the pool. It was very socially located.

My daughter and I had a distressing experience at Seahorse Guesthouse Pompano Beach. Within 4 hours of check-in, we began to experience health issues likely caused by mold/mildew in our room. Our attempts to discuss this with the owner, Darren, were met with hostility. He refused to help or offer a refund and indicated that we weren't the first guests to complain. Despite the charm of the small, locally-owned property and I hope to help a small business, our stay was marred by health concerns and Darren's dismissiveness. He was equally uncooperative with Expedia, who advised me to escalate the matter. Please consider our experience if you're planning a stay here. Health hazards and hostile management made our experience extremely disappointing.

Old Florida bungalow style at its best… the room was spotless and tastefully appointed. We only stayed overnight, but I could definitely see spending a week here. Run by independent owners who take pride in the comfort of their guests, down to chairs available to take across the street to the beach. We’ll be back!

The inn is less than a mile from the Pompano Beach pier that has great restaurants. If in the area again, I would definitely stay at the Seahorse again.

Great place! Clean, convenient to the local happenings. I visit yearly from the Sarasota area, this place feels like siesta key when it was still cool.

This was a perfect place to stay - great pricing, Darren was very kind and made sure our stay was to top standards. The room was clean and it felt like a small apartment and not just like a dingy room (there was a stove/oven, microwave, utensils etc). Darren also gave us recommendations for the area. Definitely go stay here if you’re in the pompano area!

We found our stay very relaxing. The beach just a few minutes walk away was brilliant, very quiet and clean. In the evening we sat by the pool or on the shade with our drinks before dinner. Darren was very helpful with restaurant suggestions. We will certainly be returning.

My best friend had a girls night here. The owner Darren is so wonderful! He made sure our check in was as easy as possible, and welcomed us so warmly! Our room was spotless! The pool was clean and inviting. We walked across the street to the beach for the sunrise. It was only a five minute drive to grocery stores and restaurants. If you prefer old Florida and a more intimate experience I highly recommend the Seahorse! will definitely return!

The microwave looks like it’s from 1990. The mini-fridge has a layer of ice in the freezer. There were no hand towels and there were 2 bottles of shampoo that were used by previous guests (one was about 1/3 full and the other was not quite 1/2 full). Unfortunately I heard every car that drove by so I did not get a restful sleep.

I love that this is owner ran, old Florida charm, right across from public beach access, is in a walkable area to the new Pompano pier and restaurants, the owners are amazing people and the place is clean. I also love that it's adult only and quiet. The only suggestions I have is for more towels in the bathroom (there were 2, 4 would of been great. When I asked Darren for more he promptly brought me more towels, I just hate to ask.) and better toilet paper :) but I'm also picky about that too...lol Thank you again for a wonderful stay. I can't wait to come back again!

This was a great little hotel. Quiet and very close to the beach and town. The room was small but perfect for our needs. Could of used a few more hooks in the bathroom. Also, the bed was a little soft for my liking, but doable (everyone has their own comfort level). The comforter could use a good soaking. It was a little dirty. I'm sure it is from folks coming in from the sun/beach and sitting on the bed. I would definitely come back should I find myself in the area again.

Clean bedroom and bathroom. Easy out-of-hours check-in. Very close to the beach, and easy drive to other shops and restaurants. A/C unit was a bit noisy but it worked, which is the main thing! Darren is very helpful and communicates well.

After dealing with the WORST flight and WORST car rental place ever, we were tired and irritable. Then we came to the Seahorse. What can I say? The owner is lovely, the rooms are AMAZINGLY clean and comfy! The lights were on waiting for us because of our flight getting in late which was just such a sweet touch. I can promise you I will never stay anywhere else. The beach is literally across the street! Our room had a lovely kitchen in it so the whole place had a mini apartment feel. Fresh towels and linens daily! The price was just out of this world for the kindness and courtesy we received. Thank you so much!!!!

This was an affordable, old-fashioned motel that we loved! It was quaint, clean, and comfortable. It is walking distance from the beach! It is not the latest decor, but that didn't matter to us! We would definitely stay there again. The only drawback is that there was not an office open to check in and nowhere to store our luggage until checkin. Luckily, some nice guests there at the motel let us put our luggage in their room! Nice guests!
