You get what you pay for. Pool was closed for "deep cleaning". This was Friday afternoon. Room/bedding towels etc were clean but it's an old facility. Microwave was an ancient antique wirh a wind up clock timer. Wasn't overwhelmed with check in vibe. Would stay elewhere next time.

This hotel is disgusting its dirty roaches, bed bugs dirty floors dirty linen prostitution in their rooms people in and out all night with prostitutes. I had three children with me ages 4/5 and left the next day due to horrible conditions. i contacted the building manager and explained the conditions, and they told me to contact Expedia for my refund for the days i was not there 3 nights they denied my refund and i cannot get in contact with anyone Expedia did nothing about the deplorable conditions of the hotel but its a motel and not a resort do not book this motel its is nasty

Was a late night find after a flight cancellation that didn’t cost >500$. Didn’t know what to expect. Older style beach “motel”. Gives off an old Floridian vibe. Grounds are lovingly maintained and ample shaded areas to sit and chat and play games, nice pool. Felt like someone’s home/ yard. Near the beach and walkable. Ended up staying two nights. It may be older but very clean and bedding, pillows, towels in great shape. It was my first time in pompano beach and if I travel here again I would definitely stay here again.

This is a decent place to stay. The location is great, the staff were helpful, and my kids loved the extra open space and landscaping in an area with mostly high rises and concrete. The pool was nice and it is just a short walk to the beach and Pompano pier. I think the word resort is what throws people off. I would classify this more as a motel with a great location but with dated rooms. Adjust your expectations and you'll be set!

The room was musty and the area was amazing, fishing the pier was a blast had a great time. Juan Carlos was a fantastic driver! Pay that man more money please.

Cons: 1. there is no elevator, getting luggage up and down lots of steps could be a challenge. 2. The room was only ok. Bedding was old, as was the actual bed. 3. Shower and bathroom were not the best Pros:1. Room was clean 2. The grounds were pretty. Pool was nice 3. Location is excellent ! It is beach block. Lots of restaurants. Why someone doesn't do some upgrades to this place, I am not sure. It could be a gold mine.

The outside property and landscaping is very nice with a tropical feel. The pool is also well maintained and nice. The bathroom is small compared to larger hotel chains. My biggest complaint is there is no electrical outlets in the bathroom, therefore the hair dryer we found, and remained, plugged into the outlet at the sink next to the coffee maker in the kitchen area. I am quite sure that is an environmental hazard.

A 4 minute walk to the beach at this price range was top notch. The pool area was well maintained a lot of lounginh space underneath gazebos.

Rude check-in at site to our Expedia rep on the phone and to my wife. She wanted verification of service animal over our ADA card and asked for call and email from Expedia. Expedia sent and called 2x but she didn't want to look at emails.

If the "landlord special" was a hotel, this would be it. Broken lamp shade, poor paint and shower tiling, torn curtains, burnt out light bulb, a broken toilet seat, and subpar mattress and pillows. There was no bathroom fan and the room smelt of mildew. That said...it has great beach access and the staff was friendly enough. If you dont plan to spend any time in the room, it's acceptable.

The room was clean and easy access to the beach right across the street. Lots of places to sit and relax on the property other than the pool area. Lots of restaurants and activities close by. Florence was amazing and very helpful with anything we needed.

The staff is amazing they found our medication (for brain surgery recovery) and contacted us in time for us to come get it before our return home. I wish the beds were a little firmer which is why the 4 not the 5 you can feel every movement if someone shares the bed with you

Upon our arrival, there was a runny fecal dropping in the walkway in front, the attendant there was personable. Going to our room, there were many iguanas roaming on the property and climbing trees. They were the culprits for the droppings. Upon opening the rooms door, it smelled like mold. The attendant brought and left us a can spray to neutralize the odor. That night we all awoke in a pool of sweat, the air conditioner wall unit could not remove the humidity in the room. There was also a new hotel going up next to this location so the view from the bedroom window was a brick wall of cinder blocks and construction workers. The grass behind our room was spattered with empty plastic bottles and such from the workers next door or other guests. We had to leave our curtains closed or they could look right into our room. When we opened our door the next day to go out, there was a iguana dropping right in front of our door. The photos of this location looks really good but it does not show what is on either side. They only allow one car parking and no visitors allowed. There were only 3 rooms occupied during our stay. For the money, I should have stayed at the Hampton Inn up the street. The room stunk, the AC unit had a bad condenser or capacitor, the iguana dropping around the property was not properly attended to, we were boxed in by a taller hotel with No View, and they had no one in the office overnight in case of an emergency.

The room had an odd odor, the beds were hard as rocks the floors felt sticky and the pool was not open during "opening hours" there was no heat and the blanket given is pretty useless . It was very disappointing. I only gave it 2 stars based on the location.

We arrived at this location way after our time for check in due to our flight being delayed. Once I arrived with my uber driver the open sign was on but no one was in the office. I had received a call from the office at around 9pm asking for my ETA I said I’m not sure because of the delays and waiting on my uber. But hopefully I should arrive around 1am. Once arrived at 1:50 I called the number the girl called me from and rang the bell at the location several times. The next day I called the hotel to ask for a refund. They DECLINED and told me I didn’t call the number on the door. I did not see the number on the window. I called the number she had called me from previously. Thank goodness my uber driver did not leave my location and I was nervous because the area looked a little sketchy and it smell was terrible!! The office mgr was not nice!!! Lesson learnt ladies. When traveling by yourself or your children stay in a well known hotel with 24 hour service. I give all the credit to my uber driver for not leaving me and my son alone.

The hotel was very clean and tidy. The rooms were comfortable and perfect t fit a getaway . We had a great nights sleep in the comfortable bed. We used the pool which was clean and perfect t for a dip after diving . We were able to walk to get dinner which was convenient. We will be using this hotel again !

Location good as long as you don’t mind the round about way to get to the beach. It was walking distance to the pier restaurants, but I would drive next time. Pool closed too early. Beach difficult to access. I was the only one there if that tells you anything. It is an older remodeled motel. Wi-Fi didn’t work. I do not recommend this motel. Not that nice or convent for beach access. I thought it was on the beach, so I was disappointed.

The price was high to the place, the a/c was noisy but apart of that is nice, love the area, clean, receptionist was very kind, hope to comeback on the future.

Liked the common areas, seemed well kept. Room did not feel like it was cleaned thoroughly. Even at a cooling 69 degrees the a/c made the room feel weirdly stuffy, humid and sticky. My husband, babies (1 & 2) and I all woke up sick the next morning. My kids had a whooping cough, kids who rarely get sick, and we only went to the beach and spent the rest of the day and night in the hotel.

Liked the common areas, seemed well kept. Room did not feel like it was cleaned thoroughly. Even at a cooling 69 degrees the a/c made the room feel weirdly stuffy, humid and sticky. My husband, babies (1 & 2) and I all woke up sick the next morning. My kids had a whooping cough, kids who rarely get sick, and we only went to the beach and spent the rest of the day and night in the hotel.

It is located in a very nice location, and the staff, specifically Florents at the front desk, is so professional, welcoming and make you feel so comfortable filling out every request or questions that we can have.

Dark furnishings made the room feel dark and "dingey" and overhead light fixture quit working which made it more difficult to see the area where the TV was. Location very convenient. Property around the facility was beautiful!! Nice pool! Just a walk across the street to the beach!!! But I feel like as a guest we were treated as an inconvenience by the management and staff!!! The rooms were ok but dated and musty!!!

The floor was absolutely disgusting! Our feet were covered in filth the first night we were there. We complained and they claimed they wash the floors. They use a swiffer and keep swishing around the dirt. So gross! The kitchen was nasty… the cart the microwave was on was falling apart. The door in the bathroom had a hole in it. The ceiling fan in bathroom not only didn’t work but was hanging from the ceiling! What a gross place to stay and for the price! Take my money and clean up this hotel!

The huge, and I mean huge cockroach (although I believe those are indigenous to Florida) I do think they could do some spraying to help prevent them. The pool was freezing, although it's an outdoor pool, it was January and there should be some heating to the pool in the winter months.

Excellent location. Clean rooms. Staff were extremely friendly. Beautiful outdoor seating area. The grounds and pool area was extremely clean. Only bad thing was there was no outlet in the bathroom . Outlet was outside bathroom this made it a little hard styling your hair w/ mirror.

It’s a motel. If you’re expecting more than that, then this is not for you. It was clean, well maintained, conveniently located, and priced well under the hotels in the area. It’s old and outdated but fit our need of a clean, low cost place within walking distance of the pier and beaches.

This is an older property without any frills. Very old fashioned inside, a quilt that looks from the 60s. The bedding and bathroom were clean, so I could overlook the outdated decor and just sleep for the night. The front door to the room seemed a little less than secure. The front desk lady was nice and I enjoyed her positive energy. This is a price friendly hotel for the area, and you can walk to the beach. But definately NO NO frills at all.

The property was a very quaint quiet lovely place. I will definitely visit again and recommend recommended to anyone. The beach was right across and a beautiful site to witness at night.

This hotel needs to be demolished and rebuilt. The musty moldy odor is disgusting. I literally left in the middle of night since the air quality in the room was chocking me out. There were small worm lava in the bathroom soap dish and in the area of the bedroom lamp. The pool was closed and was totally dirty. The pictures on line are nothing like the actual place. When I checked in, another room was playing house music loudly. I asked for a full refund but haven’t heard back.

I would not recommend. The rooms have somewhat updated furniture but the buildings have not been updated. The AC is as loud as a rock band and won’t cool the room. Very rude at the front desk and NOT CLEAN. They wanted either IDs for my under the age of ten children or all their information. NO! We felt very unsafe and not at all welcome. The pictures look so much better than the actual motel. Not a hotel resort at all. I was not able to get a refund which should have been my first reg flag and I guess they would have to give out refunds to everyone who shows up because it is a “get there and turn around” type of place.

The owner or manager is watching your every move via cameras. Had the employee knock on our door at midnight because we forgot a box of closed potato chips bags on the table under the tiki hut.. asked to change to another room for 2 beds since i had 2 extra people and was willing to pay the difference but they wanted to charge $746 more.. constantly walking around and checking what we were doing. Never staying there again. We had 7 rooms

Gardens and pool area are beautiful. A very short walk to the beach if that's desired. Staff friendly. My room, although clean, was very shabby, but it had everything I needed. I would stay again.

Was bummed on the last day that the pool was closed for the day. My 7-year-old was bummed.

The place was great. The property was well maintained and clean. Close to the beach and friendly. I would go back there is a heart beat. Not fancy but we loved sitting our side in the courtyard and enjoying the swimming pool and out door area. Very pretty and quiet. The staff was great. We are thinking about going next year and if we do we want to stay there. The pictures are just what they look like

First this is not the beach front resort, it is a motel. The photo here deceived me, the white house in the front of beach is private property. The door which allows access to beach was locked, no to access beach one has to walk around.

We enjoyed our stay at Oceans Beach Resort! We looked at a lot of hotels in Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding area and this was one of the few that offered free parking! The location is great, just a block from stores/restaurants and the BEST ice cream place, and then maybe a 10 minute walk to the pier and more stores/restaurants. The staff was friendly. The rooms are slightly dated but they look just as pictured. The room was clean and housekeeping visited daily. The beach is far less busy in this location than near the pier. We would definitely tag here again!

This place is misrepresented, it says is a hotel resort, it a rundown motel, I got there and when I saw it and check out the room, I immediately left. The Manager is horrible and no customer service! I requested the cancel it but I couldn't so my recommendation is to run away from this place! Expedia should really look into agreeing to misrepresent locations they are advertising on their website! The most horrible place I have ever seen in South Florida!

Excellent would stay again

We had to be moved from our original room because the lock broke on the door. The new room was spacious and clean. The resort is older but the staff were great and very helpful. It’s in a great location for walking to the beach (1 min away) and restaurants (5 min walk).

Everythin was fantastic!!!

They “upgraded” us to a suite upon arrival. Walk into room, with a kitchen stove that had no burners, a TV in the bedroom that did not work and a toilet when flushed would take a significant time to refill the tank to flush again. Thankfully we were there one night just to sleep.

Economical, clean, close to the beach, and nice people run it. A very nice garden/outdoor area. Just right for me!

The check in was very easy and Florence was very helpful. It’s a great location so close to the beach. Nice room with a big bathroom. Everything was clean. Nice that there is a fridge and coffee maker in the room. Walkable distance to some good restaurants. Will definitely go again!

This is a great little mom and pop hotel. The owners were very friendly, the one house keeper we spoke with was super nice and the older lady who worked in the front office was also super nice. We would definitely use this hotel again It is an older motel, but the grounds are amazing. One short block from the beach, a few short blocks from the pier and dining. The pool water felt amazing. Lots of island feel to the outside. The only thing missing was some island music playing and a bar. Remedy that yourself by bringing a small speaker for music and purchasing alcohol before you arrive and you are all set.

if you don't need A/C don't turn it on, room neighbors. and hotel staff as well, don't let running A/C all day in my room while I'm out!
