Hampton Inn Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach

Been staying there for years. Just ensure you lock your cars..decent area, however, there was an incident with a stolen car years back that I'm aware of..because it was my Fiance's...but that's what insurance is for. And we do keep coming back.

Solo traveler..1 night stay hotel was very clean from the exterior to the room. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly! Would stay here again.

The fact they let me in. In seriousness, it was corporate and sterile, so in a "you know what you're getting" kind of way it was more than acceptable. I was a bit disappointed, to be honest. I thought the location would be better, with more facilities around it, and I thought the hotel would feel a bit more special than it did. The room felt stark, with the high ceiling making it feel a little cold and functional rather than welcoming.

Worse place ever. Very disappointed in this stay. Will never stay there again. Hotel staff rude. The hotel itself had unethical behavior around the property.

None of what I wrote should be controversial but surprisingly the property manager decided to challenge my comments rather than use them to try and improve their product. We travel a lot and I can't ever remember getting a response like this to any review that I've ever written.

The breakfast choices were awesome. Some hot items and other choices of fruits bagels toast English muffins. Waffles could be made if you wanted them. There was always yogurt in the refrigerator. And the hot items did change daily to some degree.

The Room had a bad odor and I mention this to the staff and it still wasn't resolved. Tv went out on the 2nd day and never came back on. Changes will need to be made before i stay here again! Never use the pool area or laundry.

The stay never happened. My son is on spring break and his flight home got cancelled around 10:30pm. I booked through Hotels.com and upon the confirmation from the actual hotel I see you have to be 21. My son is 19. Called the hotel. They said that's the poloicy and they couldnt check him in if not 21. They would not cancel because I booked through a 3rd party and had to go through them. Well, tried that immediately last night. Representative on line could not help as the hotel has to cooperate and waive which they would not do. No where on the site did I see the 21 restriction. This morning called customer service and same response. Called the hotel a 3rd time and dealt with the same lady that basically said too bad..the policy is what it is and would not forward me to a higher management person. The whole experience is completely frustrating and I will never stay at a Hampton and I will never use Hotels.com or Expedia again. I understand policy. Nobody can understand a parent worried and be a little helpful? Money is money I guess and circumstances and people clearly do not matter. Shameful.

Amazing and very clean!! When we got there we found out we had improperly booked our hotel (it was last minute) but Zach who was there during the nighttime shift was awesome. He helped us out and accommodated us.

The location was good, with a lot of walkable destinations close by. Rooms were clean. Good water pressure. Only one elevator was working. There were a lot of guests so there was a lot of waiting for the elevator. The breakfast staff was taking things away and closing the area before the posted end of breakfast, while guests were still trying to get food.

We had a good two days stay during our family trip to Fort Lauderdale. There was very little light in the rooms. The breakfast options were limited, including one day when there was only meat options for omelette despite their being other dedicated meat. Specifically, I find that not to be inclusive for people who do not or cannot eat meat. Also, there was no label available for the bread with respective food allergens. They should try to do better with respect to these problems around their breakfast as there are people who do not eat meat and have food allergies, respectively. Location was pretty good.

I came with my son, we checked in around 1 am. The receptionist was super nice and helpful. Rooms were clean, property was quiet. My son really enjoyed the pool area. 10/10 recommend.

I would have given 5 stars. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly and knowledgeable. There were 2 elevators but only 1 was working. It caused delays in getting to our scheduled events, especially during checkout. Several times we had to wait for a second or third elevator stop in order to get on the elevator, as the elevator was completely full and we could not get on. No Heat! And this was on purpose. Just because you're in Pompano Beach, FL doesn't mean you shouldn't have heating capabilities for the rooms. One of the two elevators was out of commission and there seemed to be no rush to get it fixed.

Will recommend to friends coming down in March. Even have laundry facility for guests and coins on hand. Pool was clean, heated and outdoor area was clean. Highly recommend this hotel!

Breakfast was hot and good. I was actually surprised at the Denver omelet tasting good! They however need to put the juice machine in a more open area. It was next to the waffle maker and was very congested. I could not get juice until after I finished eating.

It was priced appropriately. They did not offer daily maid service. The room was small. The room’s air/heat was loud and we were either cold or hot. There wasn’t a temperature thermostat

The bed was a bit hard. Very firm. The elevator took forever. They need more than one elevator for all of those people and floors. And not having a working washer and dryer when I stayed was really inconvenient.

The only complaint I have is out of 2 elevators only 1 was working...and that one made this loud moaning/groaning noise every time it moved. I heard someone at breakfast describing the sound as a loud whale call. Oh, and a 2nd complaint is why are they charging $10 for parking? This is not in a downtown area with limited space...it's the suburbs for crying out loud.

They placed a double charge on my credit card for the room, plus $110.70 for the parking and a hold of $158.70 which they could not tell me why that was a hold. A room I paid for in advance was charged a hold of over $750. The room cost was $258.70, which was already too high. I will never stay with your hotels again and tell everyone I know about my experience.

Exactly like described. Clean and cozy. Beach is just 7 mins away. Rooms are very clean. The staff is super nice and accommodating. A couple drawbacks, rooms are not well lit so feels gloomy in the evening. There are 2 elevators but only one works. We'll go back in a heartbeat though!

Okay did not like my encounter at all when I first got there my fiance and I went to the counter it was her birthday we were unaware of the $10 fee for parking he told us that we can park somewhere else if we don't want to pay the $10 I'm talking about your employee named Zack he was very disrespectful , then he told us about the $100 fee that my fiance must have overlooked on the website cuz she was very excited book in the room cuz it was her birthday in fact on Sunday we were able to check in a little early cuz the room was already ready so around 1:30 or so we checked in and that's who was at the front counter first off he did not have a name tag he said what can I do for you and I'm thinking of myself we're at the count of a hotel room what the hell do you think you could do for us he didn't say Hi how are you welcome to Hilton my name is Zack nothing then the worst part of it is when he told us about $100 deposit which was no big deal, I told him I was unaware of that and then he replied maybe this is not the hotel for you. See the thing is you don't know who you're talking to on the other side of the counter and I just happen to be a combat veteran and a convicted felon not bragging just saying that little white dude came very close to getting laid out behind that counter for disrespecting me and disrespecting my fiance on her birthday. I'm going to report him to corporate Zach should not be working there at all .

Having an excellent experience at the Hampton Inn Fort Lauderdale/Pompano Beach! Super easy to find, great shopping and dining choices nearby. Safe area with plenty of parking. Very friendly staff, quick check-in! Will definitely stay here again .

On arrival the elevator was not working. The manager or supervisor told me that they were calling to give guests the option to cancel and waive the fee. This was no help to me as I did not get a call prior to and I’m 8 mths pregnant. Unfortunately I had to stay as it was too late to leave due to me having to wait maybe more than a week as I booked third party. Having to climb those stairs in my state was ridiculous. During our time there only one elevator was working which resulted in long wait times for the elevator and the elevator being over crowded. The pool area being closed early makes no sense either. There are more than enough signs there stating that no lifeguard is on duty and a key is needed for access for everything. I had 8 packages delivered on my 2nd night and was over authorized way over than the actual night which was also ridiculous. The only good thing I can say is that the two gentlemen at the desk were always helpful and friendly

The staff could have cared less about us. The elevator was out and we were told they only had available rooms on the 6th floor. We both had a large suitcase since we were there to stay prior to a cruise. Luckily a female employee stepped in and gave us a room on the 2nd floor.

I have stayed at this location a couple of times. I was disappointed this time with their implementation of a $ 10-per-day parking fee. Considering this is not in an inner city I think the parking fee is uncalled for and this will keep me from using them again.

Excellent and wonderful hotel staff, centrally located near shopping plazas, grocery stores, restaurants, walkable and very safe area! Clean room, comfy bed, delicious Continental Breakfast. Definitely a 10/10!

Reasonably priced hotel with quick access to the beach and scuba diving options.

There was $10 parking fee per car that they did not tell me when I was checking-in.

Everything good about property but be very careful about leaving your items in room. Left clothing in closet and housekeepers either stole them or dumped them only after a few hours after check out.

Room clean 1 elevator is insufficient for the amount of traffic, lobby internet pc access down for the entire week. Was told i dbl booked my room and waited to late to drop the 2nd booking. Don’t know how 2nd booking occured

The hotel is well-maintained, clean, and modern, and the location in Pompano Beach is fantastic, offering easy access to the area. If the rating were purely based on the physical property, it would be much higher. ​However, all of that goodwill vanishes because of the non-negotiable $10 per night parking charge. This is the definition of being nickel-and-dimed. For a mid-range brand like Hampton Inn, which typically includes parking in the room rate, this mandatory fee is unacceptable. It feels like a deceptive practice used to hide the true cost of the room. I believe essential amenities like parking should be included in the price I pay upfront, especially in a non-major metropolitan area like this. ​The addition of an unexpected, daily $10 fee significantly impacts the overall cost, transforming the stay from "good value" to "poor value." This mandatory charge is a huge disappointment and the sole reason I cannot recommend this specific location.

The room was fantastic! Spacious, comfy, but very poor lighting. Easy to find, easy check in and parking. Bathroom was spacious and great for women. Bed was a bit uncomfortable but i spotless definitely stay here again.

Hotel was nice, but one of the two elevators were down and made for long waits. No note on the elevators letting us know it was broken. I am not sure how it got a 9 rating.

The location and service was very good.

Staff was super friendly and helpful, we stayed for about a week and we didn't have any problems just small things but the staff was able to quickly resolve it. Bed comfort was great, lots of pillows, parking and locations is prime if you stay around Pompano Beach, quick access to I-95. Internet was a little on the slow side but did the job and we didn't spend much time in the room.

My husband and I always stay here when we visit. We really appreciate that staff actually care at this location, and they seem happy at work. They treat you and your stay with top-notch customer service. Love Pompano Hampton!

Everything was just fine, except tue elevator was VERY loud like something is wrong with it. Maintenance needs to be done. 7 floor building... hope that particular doesn't go put and hurt someone.

The staff was super courteous. I had an issue with the television and they sent someone right away. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, especially my oatmeal and fresh fruit.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable, but not as well maintained as most Hilton/Hampton hotels. Minor annoyances can get on your nerves!! Example- Our Room had a missing clothes rack bar so we could not hang up our suits and dresses. Several of the electrical outlets in the room were poorly made so that power cords did not fit tightly into the outlet, thereby giving inconsistent connection. The hotel itself was equipped with only TWO push carts for luggage, which meant we spent wasted time waiting for someone to return the cart. The restrooms on the ground floor which should be available to any guest were inaccessible because you had to get a key from the front desk.

Lovely hotel witha mice heated outdoor pool. Front desk staff for the most part were friendly and engaging. However, one was not. Eoukd not make eye contact with the guests what so ever. No smile. No conversation. But otherwise we enjoyed our stay. The continental breakfast had loads of choices. One of the best We have seen. Too bad they dont offer a shuttle from the airport and cruise terminal. That would be a nice bonus! I would stay here again.

Nice hotel. Despite other reviews, the bed was too hard for us. Staff offered money back but we decided to stay. Besides that, everything is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Another problem was lack of parking spaces on one of the nights.

For the one night we stayed there, it was convenient to why we were in the area. The front desk was friendly and polite, the hotel itself was clean as was the room. I did not use the free breakfast but my partner said it was fine for what he needed at 7a.m. I would absolutely return to this hotel.

I forget their names, but a nice Indian woman and a younger Black gentleman helped me at the check in. They were very nice and made the check in very easy.

Didnt like that the pool was closed at sunset. There was no where to sit outside.

Great location! Quiet. Clean. Great condition. Roomy. You can't go wrong with this hotel!

For two days the phones would ring randomly every hour or so unless it was unplugged. Not sure if it ever got fixed before checking out. Digital key never activated. And the location is not really convenient to good food or activities. The staff was good but that didn't make up for the rest of the issues.
