My only suggestion is to improve accommodations for guests with severe dietary restrictions. I have celiac disease, dairy and corn intolerances, and acid reflux disease, which limited my food options. A dedicated gluten-free/allergen-free cooking area, separate cookware, or even a microwave in guest rooms would be very helpful. I would especially like to recognize Emily at the pool, Georgina in the restaurant, Christina the restaurant manager, and Chef Charlie. Their care and attention made a tremendous difference. Emily took the time to learn about celiac disease and cross-contamination and checked with Chef Charlie about safe meal options. She also researched the cooking oil used for the potatoes and shared the information so I could verify it was safe. When I requested hard-boiled eggs, she ensured the pot was thoroughly cleaned before preparation. She brought me hard-boiled eggs, a plain salad, potatoes, and fresh fruit. The following day, Georgina, Christina, Chef Charlie, and the kitchen staff continued providing the same level of care. Thanks to their efforts, I was well nourished throughout my stay. I would have appreciated simple options such as plain chicken, fried eggs, or plain rice, but the staff's genuine concern left a lasting impression and contributed greatly to an outstanding vacation.

It was a complete disaster. It was only 9:45 a.m., and there was practically nothing left. I complained, and I was told that many people had already come through breakfast. I do not agree with that explanation. As a result, I had to pay for a separate à la carte breakfast.

I stayed in an executive, ocean front, corner suite. It was clean and comfortable. Every staff member I encountered were helpful and exhibit great customer service. Everyone greeted me throughout the hotel. Sunrise yoga was great. I only ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant and ordered from the menu. It was fresh and delicious. Matthew at the front desk was really helpful. Pretty safe for a solo trip as well.

Our delta was service at the beach and cleanliness. The beach experience was not good, dirty sand and workers that absolutely didn’t care to help you. Clean was the overall room and balcony, dirty windows and carpet. This experience was not like the pics shown on Expedia for this Hotel.

The best thing about the stay is the housekeeping department. Our room was very clean, and I am very picky! The housekeeping staff is the best part of this property, and they deserve raises. The negatives are the elevators didn’t work. The indicator light was non functional so riders don’t know what level they’re on, or even if they went up or down! Front desk unorganized. I got my key card with codes on the back but no one told me what it was for. I later found out it’s a code for the gate to the beach. Found this out after getting locked out and walking around the whole property! They could have explained this at check-in! The hotel charges a $45 DAILY “RESORT FEE”! An email was sent last minute to disclose the up charge. Too late to do anything as flights are booked. MOST ANNOYINGLY, the hotel forces valet on patrons at $45/ day…plus tip valet every time we want to use our car. It wouldn’t be so bad if the hotel did valet service correctly. But our cars were held hostage while we waited in lines in the heat. I could see my car a few feet away. By the time we’re in the car, hair frizzed and feeling irritated! I wouldn’t stay there again.

The property is nicely maintained, super easy access to the beach and the staff GREAT! From Andrew R in the office to Shelia at the pool, Danny on the beach and Ricardo at the bar on the beach they are the reasons for me and my family to come back. However beware, once you are at the property any additional services are expensive and in my opinion they are taking advantage. But there are ways around it, you don't have to eat there and they do allow you can bring your own snacks and drinks to the beach so at least if you pay for the convenience it's your choice. I've been to resorts where you have to buy from them and they gauge you. Those places i will never go back to. I would recommend this resort as long as you go in with your eyes open from a cost POV.

The room was clean, bedding nice, breakfast good. But they have to mention that there is a property fees 45 per day, plus parking fees 44 per day. They send this information after you booked and get confirmation for booking, so…. They have to be clear with all fees. If you book for a week it is additional 700$ plus you have to give tips for the servers… so count before booking.

The staff at the Lobby, Outside Bar, and Beach Bar were awesome and friendly. The staff at the inside restaurant and kitchen are condescending snobs and judgemental. My girlfriend and I were profiled and were given other options for restaurants by the hostess when we walked up insinuating we didnt have the money to eat there as it was fancy and expensive. So we ate there anyway and rang up a $300 tab just to prove a point. The bartender inside (A Male dont know his name) was an ass when I asked for a simple drink that wasn't on the menu (Tequila and Pineapple) because he didnt know how to ring it up on the POS. When I ordered Room Service the person on the phone was condescending about what I was ordering and acted like I was making up my order when it was coming directly off the menu. The menu provided in the room doesn't match the menu in the kitchen apparently. The manager did give us 50% off the Room Service order (Original Price $350) after I called and complained about the attitudes I had been receiving in the restaurant. Otherwise its a nice place just don't go to the restaurant and hotel inside bar.

First time in Pompano but will definitely choose another property when returning. Did not have the best experience with staff upon check in. Booked through third party and they seemed annoyed and not friendly. Only staff that seemed friendly were a few housekeepers we passed daily and the beach bartender. Food was decent. Room nice but bathroom was outdated. Toilet seat didn’t fit properly, stains on ceiling. Elevator was broken first day we arrived and continued to have issues while there. Also overheard couple telling staff they did not want to spend their vacation stuck in elevator. Was charged for valet upon check out and did not have a car, Was fixed once emailed. Overall with all the resort fees, do not feel it was worth it.

Room was not cleaned, when I called to the front desk they told me they cleaned the rooms every other day. Which is unheard of.! then I went to the front desk in the morning and they changed their story that they do clean the rooms every day, one manager at the desk, said they cleaned them every day the other clerk says they clean them every other day. They didn’t know what the process was? When checking in, the card reader on the door did not work, I went down to the front desk and was given new access cards, and they did not work, back down to the desk I went, and Ricardo came up with me, and still didn’t work.needed new batteries, had to wait for engineers to change batteries, Also had an issue with the room safe, needed engineers to come up and reprogram the safe. I booked the Marriott because I thought they were reputable, obviously they have issues.

Not very happy with stay. First, staff upon arrival weren't very professional or friendly and seemed pretty disorganized. Throughout the entire trip one of the two elevators was down with multiple occasions of guests being trapped on a stuck elevator. The other working elevator didn't list the floor level because the reader was not working. Ocean view was a partial view. Upon checking out was erroneously charged every day for a valet charge that had to be disputed. I was refunded but very inconvenient when trying to checkout early to get to the airport. Pool attendees and Tikki bartender awesome but otherwise it was a hit or miss to get a friendly staff. Will definitely not stay there again.

This is false. This hotel is neither upscale nor a resort. I looked up the definition of resort and it's described as a self-contained destination designed for leisure, relaxation, and recreation, typically offering lodging, and multiple options for dining, entertainment, and activities in one location. Unlike hotels, resorts are places where customers can enjoy a complete vacation without leaving the property. Again, This is not a resort. It's a clean hotel with a few really nice staff members such as: Ashley, Issac ,vidal, and arda... But the manager Leslie is rude and unprofessional. Not only did leslie speak to me very rudely and ruin my bday week, after explaining to her about the property's many mishaps, she explained to me that I could always go to another property if I wasn't happy. So... With a rude manager, no belhops to help you with your luggage, one restaurant with a Very limited menu (especially for vegetarians); no entertainment other than the pool and beach until 5pm, one microwave that you have to take the elevator and 5 turns to use, no beach chairs to even rent after 5pm, and over worked bartenders... I said yes please help me to find a new hotel. She said she nor the hotel would be helping me with this.. So why offer? Needless to say, I've never stayed at a Marriott with such limited amenities and rude management. Try a marriot closer to the action in las olas! This one is not it for now.

I loved my stay at the Marriott pompano. I found all of the staff so genuinely helpful and nice. I loved the proximity to the ocean and the pool area was gorgeous. If I had one complaint it was that they put a $200/per night hold on my credit card. It was 3 nights so with the conversion rate, it was an $850 CAD hold. That felt excessive. Just be warned. We got a good room, ocean facing. Beach access was really good. The property is far from all the happening places. Something to keep in mind while booking. Good place if you are looking for a quieter place without much expectation on amenities. - Water was not draining in the shower area as it was not leveled. We were given a mop and asked to mop everyday to avoid water retention - Breakfast was very average, similar to what we get in Fairfield Inn. - There were 2 small elevators in the North tower, where our room was. One elevator was broken/ out of service through out our stay. Ultimately we started taking the stairs to avoid long wait to go up or down. - The room was not cleaned one day when we specifically asked them to clean up - None of the issues were addressed during the checkout.

The rooms were clean and updated, staff were all very friendly. I didn’t like how people could put towels down to save lounge chairs by the pool and then not use them for hours, so maybe a better policy regarding that would be fairer to avoid that. But I wouldn’t mark the stay down because of that, more so just a suggestion.

The Pool area, beach area and attendants were very nice. The room was well designed and had a nice balcony and partial sea view. Only one elevator was working the whole time we were there so most people were using the stairwells which were pretty dirty. It's a big hotel for just one elevator. The front desk staff was not very nice and I had to argue strongly with them several times to remove the resort fee which we had already paid through Booking.

One elevator out of service the entire time. Sometime 10 minute wait for elevator. Everyone has free breakfast vouchers . This was a nightmare. Took 2 hours to get breakfast one morning. Started ordering carry out and just took to room instead of waiting on table. You have to get up about 7 am to save pool chairs otherwise you won’t sit by pool till 4 or 5 in afternoon. A lot of negative for a 600/ night resort.

1 of 2 elevators broken. Be prepared to walk up 5+ floors to avoid the 15-20 min elevator wait. Some staff rude, some very nice and accommodating. 1 Shirley temple soda ordered 4x, bill, free, $4.50, $10.00, $9.00. Seems like people just charge what they are feeling that day. A busy Sunday, ordered chicken tenders for my daughter. 2 hour wait. Checked in multiple times, but people were rude. Also was told not to order specialty drinks by staff because they take to long, but when I would order a simple, tequila soda, they would still charge for specialty drink. Very annoying experience. One morning, we could sit at the Buffett if we got the buffet. But they said they could not promise a server.

Rooms are spotless and beautiful, newly renovated! The staff go above and beyond. From the front desk staff, restaurant staff, to wait staff by the pool, pool deck and beach staff, service was top notch. The resort is beautiful, quiet, directly on the beach and feels like a small boutique hotel. A bonus is that chairs and umbrella as well as towel service on the beach are all included as part of the resort fee. It’s about a 15/20 min walk to the Pompano Pier where they have some great restaurants but the restaurant at the hotel is excellent too! A rental car may be necessary if you’re looking to shop and explore because there is not much around within walking distance. Closest Walgreens was a good 25 min walk. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

The room has been remodeled, was clean, and was nice. Especially like the laminate flooring instead of carpet. The hotel is fine. It’s a solid 3. There are 2 elevators and one was “temporarily” out of service the entire time. It caused long wait times. We tried the stairs but they did not lead to the lobby and we found ourselves locked out or lost. The valet took a long time at times and the app to order the car worked periodically. Drinks are expensive and pricing inconsistent. At the beach we spoke to the bartender at the little beach bar about where to get towels. We had to walk back to the pool area for towels which was fine but then was scolded by another person who told us we needed to check in at the other shack area before getting chairs. He was definitely irritated with us although the beach was empty and he and another person appeared to be doing nothing but chatting with one another. There are so many other choices that I won’t stay there again. I prefer better service options and happier customer service.

Friendly staff and new clean room with a great view but recommend booking a south facing or even number room to avoid noise from the delivery trucks and public beach street cleaners. Beach chairs need to be updated and replaced (paint was chipping) otherwise a great alternative to the pricier areas in the northern part of the county. Close proximity to airport - very convenient.

I had the worst experience here ever. In fact, we left a day early as it wasn't tolerable. The balcony door was jammed; I paid for an ocean view and didn't get one; the bathroom door was broken and permanently open; the refrigerator in our room was warm and worst of all, at 1:00am the fuse in our room blew. That's when we had it!

The front desk personel were GREAT, especially Valesia and Matt, who provided us with 30th Anniversary surprise gits in our room. The restaurant staff, on the other hand, were a quite different story. I purchased a $48 NY strip dinner to bring to tge room for a romantic anniversary dinner. When the restaurant manager handed it to me, my bill was precisely $60, as it included an "automatic 18% gratuity", even though I picked it up at the restaurant to bring to our room. My wife DID NOT want someone else delivering it for our privacy. To make matrers worse, the meal was in a cardboard box in a paper bag. When I opened the box, the steak was literally in a puddle of mashed potatoes. Additionally, the restaurant manager told me that dishes and silverware are not allowed in the room, so she gave me plastic utensils. A $60 steak with a plastic knife, fork and spoon? When I asked for plates, she apologized and said she didn’t have any paper plates, and gave me a pair of large saucers (bot even fullnsized plates. Overall, it was a disgusting presentation and terrible service. The next day I complained to the front desk manager. He broght in the restaurant manager who apologized and refunded the meal. She said they will continue with this type of service until they use up the cardboard box inventory. UNBELIEVABLE!

Upon check-in, there was a wait for valet, a wait for check-in, and knowing it was my priority to get to the beach for sunset, it was 5:36pm and when we asked the young man on the beach sitting on his phone, about available chairs, he said they close at 6pm and there were none available. There was a stack of chairs and he was saying it’s too late to bring anymore out. He eventually did but was clearly upset and was banging them around. I get it, there was only 20 minutes or so but we gladly would have gotten them ourselves and put them back had he just asked. You get charged a daily resort fee yet charged for wifi if not a bonvoy member. In addition to the resort fee, there’s a daily parking fee, everything is very costly and upon checkin, we were told about breakfast and based on that we mistook that for meaning it was complimentary. We live in FL but stay in hotels on the beach a few times a year and however we didn’t feel this one delivered considering all of the fees and the service.

We were tired from driving all day, we just went to the room to finally sleep. The room was smelling bad, the bathroom had no lock and the balcony lock was also broken. It did not looked very clean. Now that I have read more comments I know that it was not just my experience like they tried to present it. I feel really frustrated because my kids were expecting the pool to enjoy their grandma's birthday weekend. Wish there they could have told me about it before or at least had done something about it, financially. It is not a cheap motel.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel sent an email 2 weeks prior to arrival stating the pool was closed for renovation. The pool is why I booked this hotel in February. Too late to get another hotel so I thought at least it is on the beach. Beach towels not always available. I was not told the entrance, lobby, dining room was under renovation and closed while temporary reception, dining room were located in hallways. I also took the yoga class and the instructor was great. The problem was the landscaping guys...I mean, if you're doing a yoga class outside from 8-9am why not start after? The guy actually looked at us, apologized and kept going. We both spoke to the front desk and they were really understanding. I didn't want anything but they gave us vouchers for breakfast, unfortunately we had to leave early and didn't get to use them. When I called down for help at night (at a round 8-9pm), I was put on hold for long periods and then told I had to call the front desk in the morning (to check out early!). Also, I can't believe they're not allowed to help with reservations. If you want to modify, add or change you have to call or go through the website. This was by far our worst time at this hotel. Again, you have some really great staff there but there's only so much they can do. We will be there regularly visiting family, so hopefully most of this becomes a non-issue once the construction is done but I don't see how that will be by March 2025.

NO POOL, PAY FOR EVERYTHING This hotel was one of the most disappointing and overpriced experiences I’ve ever had. While the nightly rate was advertised as X dollars the hidden fees nearly doubled the cost of my stay. First, there’s a daily resort fee — which might be fine if the amenities were actually usable. However, the pool was under renovation, so the only thing the fee got me was a sense of frustration. Want to use an umbrella on the beach? That’s an extra charge, too. It felt like every basic amenity had a price tag attached to it. The parking situation was infuriating. The only option is valet parking, which is charged daily per car. No self-parking, no alternatives — just another way to bleed guests dry. And if you think the hotel staff will help you resolve anything, think again. I booked through Expedia, and any issue I raised was met with a shrug and a “you’ll need to contact Expedia” response. It felt like I wasn’t their guest at all — no accountability, no solutions, just passing the buck. Ultimately, this is a costly per-night stay for nothing more than a bed and a shower. The complete lack of transparency and care for guests made this experience infuriating. Save yourself the money and book somewhere else —

I had a beautiful room that was cold as ice without the air conditioner on. It was windy and cold so to check in and not able to warm up the room was very uncomfortable for me.

My partner and I stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Marriot for our anniversary over the weekend. When we booked the hotel we did not know the pool was under construction as the site did not show that. Once we arrived the front desk staff was REALLY nice, we even became marriot members. We were offered complimentary drinks which was really nice. The gentleman at the bar on the beach was really nice too. The gentleman that helps you with the beach chairs was ok. We would stay again once the pool is ready.

I don't know if it was Expedia or Marriot, but I booked a two queen bed room and was given a one queen bed room. When I asked they had no other rooms to give me and brought in a roll away bed right away and comped our breakfast. Everyone was very nice from the valet parking attendants to the front desk people and the bartender. Not a lot of hotels on that strip. The pool and spa were closed due to them remodeling half their hotel. All in all, I'd go back.

I'd been staying at Marriott twice a year since 2014 and at the begining it was the best. As time goes by, the hotel started having little unlikeble details but nothing that makes you wanna go somewhere else. Unfortunally I did not read the mail sent to me warning me about the improvments they are currently working on, so this particular stay was not good. The breakfast used to have a variety of choices and now it was so limited. I understand the limitations to get to the beach but I also feel that it is important to let clients know all the extra charges you are going to get at the hotel because when you booked your stay, you kind of feel lile you are done with the payment but there are a bunch of taxes to pay at location and also the valet parking is very expensive. I hope that in the opening of the new areas in 2025, everything will be again like it was in 2014.

After i booked Expedia send a message telling ys that the pool was under renovation and also letting us know abiyt the noise from 8am and this is going to be until February 2025 you should be honest and said that in advance. Also the personal at the beach at 5pm come to tell you we need the chairs, no hi no sorry no manners. The bar supposed to open untill 5:30 but at 5pm already closed. Overall not a Marriot Standarts at all.

Rooms need to be updated. Beds are terrible and the carpet is definitely dated. I booked an ocean view room but my room was on the side of the building so it was more of a partial view room. Very misleading when choosing a room during booking. Staff was friendly, restaurant didn’t have many options but the food was very good.

Where do I start about this property?! For starters we were not notified that the hotel pool was closed and under construction until after our booking (apparently the hotels main website had it posted but outlets such as expedia were not informed) Also the TV in the room was hit or miss with it's poor wifi connection and cheap limited basic programming and was a struggle to watch anything in the evenings when we were up from the beach. The thermostat did not work for an entire Saturday (10/19) during our stay leaving us with no AC until maintenance was called. On sunday (10/20) house keeping completely skipped our room for cleaning. We came up from the beach at 4:30pm to a dirty room. We had to call the front desk for towels just to shower. Also, this hotel advertises that it is kid friendly, however, it is anything but. There was nothing to do for kids here, and when we requested a complimentary crib for our daughter, the bedding in the crib was also never changed during our entire stay. Also on the topic of being kid friendly, we had to deal with the smell of marijuana smoke coming through the vents and under the doors which could be used for conjoined rooms. And lastly the beach staff that put up your chairs was quite frankly, lazy. They rarely had towels on-site for use and almost seemed inconvenienced when we more chairs or a cabana. Beach bar was closed all but one day of our stay and is advertised as open daily. Food is over priced and staff was unfriendly minus a few

Right on the beach! Front Desk Staff was very accommodating and friendly every shift. Pool under renovation but the beach was right there w/ lounge chairs and towels provided. Unfortunately we couldn’t try paddle board/kayak/surfing due to water conditions. So we accepted the bougie board and float raft. Hotel also provided bikes which was nice to see some of the town. Rode down to the “family pier”/boardwalk area. Gym is amazing with a beach view. Refrigerator in room, but you have to go to the lobby to use a microwave. Last, all of the ice machine seem not to work Overall, the good things definitely outweigh the opportunities. It was really nice. We would stay again and recommend

Nice rooms, I had an issue with an extra car parking fee at 35$ a night. Front desk staff was nice. Back bar was a bit dirty feeling and you could smell the restaurants grease trap as well as wait a while to even order a drink and it wasn’t busy at all.

I was unaware that the pool area was being renovated. I unknowingly upgraded my room to an ocean front room that was very hot during the day. There were two excavators that were cleaning up the pool area during the day that made it very loud to sit outside. Pulling into the property was difficult because of the size of the entrance and it was coned off. I had a suburban and gave me anxiety every time that I had to valet. Overall, this was a terrible stay.

Even though property was under construction, no pool, no jacuzzi... The property customer service, room service and restaurant staff was amazing. William our waiter at breakfast deserves a GOLD star. Room service 15 mins tops (where do you get that?).. It was our anniversary on 8/31, and we were greeted in our room with chocolate covered strawberries, plus a bottle of pinot noir delicious wine. I cannot wait until the pool is ready because I will definitely return. Props!

We had a good stay at the hotel even though at the beginning they made a mistake on our room. But I talked to the manager Jalicia and explain the situation and she took really good care of us we really liked her customer service she went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We had a great time enjoyed the hotel even though the pool was in construction but the beach and restaurant and bars were great. We will definitely go back we highly recommend it.

They having a pool construction till 2025. It is hard to enjoy the beach. The sound of the waves when all that construction is going on. I really enjoy the ocean but unfortunately due to the construction I couldn’t. The prices for the room are low but what they charge for parking per day makes up for the discount they offer.

If you’re looking for a true Marriott property this NOT it! After being told our room was ready and. To come to the property we were made to wait four hours for a room only to get a dirty room. Shower had previous guest soap and debris in drain. A strobe light from the fire alarm was going off all night and the front desk clerk just shamed me that I didn’t want a stranger in my room at 2am to “try and fix it” everyone was rude and had no interest in customer satisfaction. The pools and spa were closed and we were not informed by Hotels.com or Marriott and they also shamed us for not knowing this instead of being apologetic and accommodating in another way. I would say stay ANYWHERE but here in Ft Lauderdale/Pompano Beach area.

Booked this hotel specifically because it had a pool, bar and restaurant. When we arrived the pool was closed due to construction. No where on this site or their website could I find where they have that the pool is closed - traveled 5 hours for my birthday weekend with friends and no pool. I am very disappointed that there was no notification that that was the case.
