    I’ve stayed here multiple times over the past decade and have never had a complaint worth mentioning. The staff has consistently been courteous and helpful throughout the years. The breakfast is excellent—full and noticeably improved over time. The location is a major plus, with close proximity to the mall, Target, and other spots all within walking distance. Highly recommend!

    This is not as listed. Roaches crawling on the TV and the hotel i was placed in afterwards smelled wet and the carpet was mildly damp…the room looked so low budget. So much noise. Complained and even knocked on the door of those residing there before i complained to staff and they continued. The desk associate did come up and try but that didnt help. Desk associate there definitely gave east coast ny vibes…not saying there all rude but it was very much so eyeroll energy. I got a refund for the other days so im grateful but thats after i complained to expedia associates a thousand times. Do not book here until they fix this!

    As for my Mom.... there was ZERO HOT WATER in the shower. Zip, Zilch, Nada! It barely got room temperature, so showering was NOT fun. The bathroom sink kept clogging up and there is no stopper for it. There's no outlet in the bathroom for a night light. The pillows aren't great and their LACK of TV channels SUCKS. They don't even have the basic ABC, CBS, or NBC. It sounded like we were sleeping under the laundry room because ther was a continuous, non-stop & very loud vibrating hum.

    The second room had the same issue, just less severe after a long shower. There was also a noticeable moldy smell unless the bathroom fan stayed on constantly. The walls were surprisingly soundproof since I barely heard anyone during my stay, and I didn’t find any bugs after thoroughly checking both rooms. Parking was plentiful as well. The staff was friendly, but they didn’t seem to have much authority beyond switching rooms. Overall, this hotel feels very outdated and poorly maintained. The beds sag badly, and it seems like things only get replaced when absolutely necessary. The only reason I stayed was because the flight + hotel package was cheap for 5 nights. You get what you pay for.

    The staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did not come by either day I was there, but that may have been because I had a dog with me. However, the staff didn't explain any of that so I had to go to the front desk myself for replacement towels and toilet paper. I will say, the room had an alarm clock, the first 2 nights I kept hearing talking, it wasn't until the day of my final night that I realized the alarm clock was broken, it would not turn off completely and was on the lowest volume setting. I had to unplug it. So the first 2 nights I did not sleep well at all.

    There was plenty of parking and it was a safe area. The front desk clerks were very pleasant and welcoming on my check in and check out. I do have a few complaints regarding the room. The tub leaked he entire night I had to close the bathroom door. When you turned the bathroom light on it had this loud noise and the bathtub needs to be refreshed/renovated. And the desk chair needs to be replaced.

    The room conditions were not acceptable: torn towels, unpleasant odors, a mattress in very poor condition, and dirty bed sheets. Additionally, the cleaning staff showed a noticeably bad attitude, which made the experience even less comfortable. The elevator had a very strong smell, specifically of marijuana, which is quite ironic considering there is signage stating that this is a “100% smoke-free hotel.” The hallways also had a persistent weed smell. On a positive note, the Latina staff member who attends in the mornings was very friendly, helpful, and diligent, and definitely stood out for her service. Breakfast and coffee were acceptable, but nothing remarkable.

    This Hotel needs an immediate overhaul. Rooms old and need renovation. Hotel smells foul. They've allowed animals and the stench is overwhelming. Front desk staff very pleasant but Housekeeping staff are rude and dismissive. Would not speak if it was to save their lives. Breakfast was blah and disorganized. Server brought out bits at a time.     Housekeeping was extremely disappointing—our room wasn’t cleaned at all until the last day of our stay (note this 5 day stay). The staff didn’t appear welcoming and seemed visibly unhappy, which added to the overall experience. Breakfast was also a letdown and did not meet expectations at all. For the price charged per night, this hotel is absolutely not worth it anymore. This used to be my go-to hotel whenever I visited Fort Lauderdale, but unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

    Pros: The front desk staff were nice and helpful. The sheets/towels were clean. Cold AC, very hot water, and a decent hair dryer. Cons: The floors are filthy and leave a sticky film on your shoes/feet. Mildew, stains, rust, decay, water damage, broken furniture, and a general grime everywhere. Liquid stains running down the elevator walls, a STRONG smell of weed in the hallways despite "100% non-smoking". No housekeeping service at all except the one person who flips the rooms between guests. Nonworking locks on exterior doors. Pillows like little sand bags. A plastic mat in the tub, peeling up on the edges to reveal the chipped, peeling interior. And to top it all off??? A man camping on a couch in the lobby, asleep, in his underwear, with his pants around his ankles. This was during breakfast with the lobby full of guests. Looked like he'd been there all night.

    Nothing The odor when you came into the hotel. Then the same in the hallways are hotel rooms. I was told it’s the chemicals products used but I don’t believe it. The check in person wasn’t the friendliest and was pressing me out to bring down the bell cart whole the reason I was in the lobby was for that reason I’d just had brought it down and parked it with the other bell carts. The ac and heat wasn’t the best. It would randomly cut off if it was set to a certain temperature. The beds were full sized beds not queen sized. Very cramped. The tub drain thingy was put on top of the drain and it was rusty too. And saw 2 roaches when coming into the room. The hotel housekeeping just left someone’s dirty sheets and the trans can at the elevator and then next day an insane amount out trash was there too and looked like feces was on the floor dried up and smeared. Had to buy sprays to get the smell out and overall I just wouldn’t come back. My experience wasn’t at all pleasurable. And my allergies were acting up not sure what it was in the building. Top it off we thought our cat ran out and the staff didn’t attempt to actually help except for one person. Granted the cat was hidden in the bed. Personally if we didn’t pay prior we would have went to another hotel to stay at.

    Okay place to stay one night. We got in late evening after driving all day and no one was at the desk. Waited a few minutes and no one came. Had to find the number and call for someone to show up. The hotel was fine for just one night before a cruise. Had a musty smell and could definitely use a refresh. Served it's purpose but wouldn't recommend staying here for multiple nights.

    The hotel was horrible. The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. The rooms and lobby had roaches. Imagine staying in a hotel and seeing roaches crawling. Just disgusting. When I reported the roach in the room to the house keeper she did not even show remorse, she just said report it to the front desk.

    I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at a La Quinta Hotel booked through your platform and to request a refund due to multiple unacceptable conditions at the property. We arrived at approximately 10:00 PM and were immediately met with a strong moldy odor in the reception area, which is completely unacceptable. As a licensed property inspector in the State of Florida, I am particularly attentive to property conditions, and what I observed raised serious concerns. The carpets in the room were heavily stained, possibly from paint or other substances, indicating a lack of proper maintenance. Additionally, the wall behind the bed showed visible signs of moisture damage, which suggests potential underlying issues. The weather was quite cool that evening, and when we attempted to turn on the heater, an unbearable odor was emitted, forcing us to turn it off immediately. This made the room uncomfortable and unsuitable for a proper stay. Given these conditions, I believe the property does not meet acceptable hospitality standards, and I kindly request a full refund for this stay.     The bed was comfortable, the water was hot and cold, the location was safe. The property needs renovating. The paint is faded, some items are broken on the property, the bathroom and shower is outdated, the volume on the tv remote did not work, their was a roach in my room, the refrigerator in my room was old and wasn’t cold enough. I visited this hotel about 7 years ago and it was great. Now, not so much.

    The room was neglected for sure. Smelled like a combination of mildew covered up by fresh paint... Not entirely surprised as these types of properties tend to neglect their rooms. The staff at the front desk was very nice, and for the two days I stayed there at the price that it was offered what more can you say. I would not stay here again unless it was a last option as was this case. The bed was also very worn out, but as I said, not that surprising. I did the see the price for tonight was nearly 100 more than what I paid and I would have been very upset if I got the same room at that price.

    La Quinta Inn & Suites is located in a nice neighbourhood close to lots of amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms however are dated. The carpet felt mucky when i walked barefoot in the room, it was so bad my white socks turned black on the bottom. The bathtub looked dirty prompting me to first clean it before using it. It is peeling and just cannot become white. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.

    The first room we stayed in completely flooded after taking a shower. Then they moved us to another room and we found a roach in the bathroom. The room across from us had a barking dog that woke us up at 8am. The hall on our floor smelled like garbage and the pool was not supplied with towels.

    This is the place I choose every month to stay after medical stuff. But this time was awful room. Never staying on first floor again. Soggy wet carpet on room, smelled like they sprayed an entire bottle of air freshner. If you opened your mouth you tasted it. Internet didn't work longer than two minutes. It was awful. And breakfast? Horrific this time which is not normal for this place. Window so dirty you didn't dare touch frame or anything.ewwwe Sorry but this time literally has me sick. My sinuses and head hurt, stomach sick from raw eggy stuff. As I said very bad this time. Sorry

    Needed towels to shower but when I called the front desk I was told the towers are in the washer. The elevator had an issue 2 nights in a row, and the air condition went in and out all night. I barely slept because it triggered my sinus.

    I’ve been staying here for a while so shocked would be an understatement with how terrible this place was. The first room we were in smelled like a dog and we asked to be moved. The second room we were in was filthy and had roaches! We killed about three roaches in the short two day stay we had. We ended up checking out early and were told a refund would not happen. Packages could NEVER be found and it always takes four different people to look before you can get everything. We will never stay there again.

    The hotel was a little bit old but the room was spacious. When we stepped into the room, it was chilly. Probably the previous guests had turned on the coolest.I turned on the heat and a strange smell came out. I went to the front desk and asked fo 3 blankets and received them.Later I turned on the heat again and the smell disappeared.It was nice that the front desk provided me a hour earlier to check in.All the staff were friendly and helpful.They helped us to get a taxi to Fort Lauderdale the next day.

    I will start off by saying that this is my first time staying at La Quinta in plantation since 2021-2022; way back then my stay was always great… so I was shocked at my last experience in December 2025. First thing is that the room had a moldy smell, the rug was quite dirty and the AC leaked in one of the rooms that we stayed in. Second, my family had to request towels and toilet paper because it did not appear that the room was fully stocked. Thirdly, the breakfast was just a bit below my expectations but that’s just my opinion. The biggest issue for my family was the water quality, at one point the shower water was discolored or had a scent (really toke a toll on my skin). The star that I did give for this review is truly only for the staff because they are kind and are doing their best to be accommodating; but man this hotel stay overall was deplorable.

    1. Bathroom was smelly. Toilet had water spouting through the night. Only good thing was water didn't flow onto the floor. 2. Staff- we had early morning flight and had to leave at 4.30am. So we had to warm our own bread. But the lady near breakfast counter was not only noting that breakfast would start at 6am ( which we knew already) and used foul language. Do not recommend this place at all. Better to pay extrav amount and stay at Marriott/ Hampton Inn next door.

    Recent upgrades to rooms make them LOOK nice but walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that is going on in rooms around you. Sink outside of the bathroom is weird and continental breakfast was awful - waffles tasted weird and were soggy. There was also a smell that they triednto cover up with air diffusers placed in the lobby. Best part was the pool - the kids had a great time. Location is good bc of close to a mall with shopping and food options. Only 20min from Port Everglades and 20min rom FLL airport. I wouldnt not stay there again as there are other hotels in the vicinity in the same price range.

    Front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The staff for breakfast worked very hard to constantly refill food options and guest requests. And special thanks… to the cleaning staff who found my headphones and Karla who called me to let me know they found them (I didn’t even know they were missing yet!). And all this above and beyond worn over the Christmas holiday. A great staff!

    Room was okay, the tv was at a set volume so I wasnt able to increase or decrease it. We also had to repeatedly come down to the front desk to get towels. Not once did any cleaners come to take the old towels and give us new ones. The room key also kept deactivating and wouldn’t work on our door. The overall experience felt like we had to do a lot of work to be comfortable when you go to a hotel to feel the opposite. Many things should be of convenience.

    The quality of breakfast, Selection was limited and lack luster. The whole was mainly tables and chairs for eating. The rug at the entrance was filthy. The entrance door had so many coats of paint on it and it didn’t open properly, the elevator was old and wasn’t working ;the front desk had to use her phone to control it so it moved .The water handle in the rooms spin all around . Lighting in the room too dim. Every time I used the lobby bathroom the garbage was full and rimming over.

    The staff was courteous. When it comes to the breakfast area the coffee was exceptional as long as creamer was provided. The food was limited, not good at all as they need to provide a better variety. The juice fountain was great. As for the room my first assigned room was not good as the a/c and telephone was not working and the room seemed small, dark and dirty. the second room which was a king bed on the first floor appeared to look bigger and brighter in size and everything was in working condition and cooler. The cleanliness was semi-par. The hotel needs to steam clean their sofa.     No eggs, juice or yogurt at the breakfast bar. When i inquired about it was told that they wouldnt have any until Wednesday and this was Monday. When i tried to checkin was told that registration didnt start until 3. This was 2:35. I was expecting to get the room but she didnt even check to see if it was ready. Clearly had a thems the rules attitude. I might also add that i waited at the front desk for 10 minutes waiting for someone to show up. Never again.

    Parking and lighting was fine, strange smell in hotel, Iron and hairdryer did not work and TV sometimes. I cleaned the pool deck and repaired the safety equipment so it was not in a mess. The deck had berries all over it so Inasked for a broom and it was not usable. The work staff seems to work very hard with what they have to work with, but it appears not enough staff to keep it up. The tree by the pool needs to have the berry droppings cut off as they are hard to walk on and are in the pool. The pool itself was very clean but the area around it is not being maintained well. I could not sleep in the bed because it was sinking in the middle and dropping to the right. The room was nice, the Hotel looks nice, but it all stops there. I moved out early maining because of the bed.

    We went to use the pool, and it was dirty. Also, the property needs some updating. This chain of hotels is the same anymore, they are like Days Inn and the Super 8. We asked the cleaning staff for towels and was super rude. The one thing was the two young ladies at check-in and check-out were very polite and pleasant.

    Older property. Rooms smelled musty. Soap size was a nugget. Coffe pot old style but coffee was distusting. No coffee accessories such as spoon, stirer, sugar or creamer in room.     My stay at this hotel from begin to end was amazing. The staff is 1000/100 they were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was great, tasty and hearty and what made our stay even better as coffee lovers were the fact that we had coffee accessible to us 24/7 that just topped it. The hotel was clean and nice.     The location was great (right beside Broward Mall) and the rooms were clean and spacious. My only downside with the room is that the lighting was poor. They could use some overhead lights. For breakfast, there was plenty of food to be shared. Not much variety but the consistency is there. I also think they can have hot chocolate out for the whole day (personal preference) but it was available for breakfast. Overall, its a great stay for a great price.

    The only thing that I didn't like is that when I took a shower I found the tub very slippery so it's an accident waiting to happen. The tub should have non-slip ridges or even better a removable non-slip mat as part of the bathroom fixtures.

    Some of the reviews I see on here are just unrealistic. I don’t expect luxury at a $73 night hotel. What I didn’t see were any roaches, which is probably the most important thing to me. The hallway smelled nice on my floor. I can’t speak for any other floor and my room was in good condition. The only con was not getting fresh towels automatically to my door every day. They only do that every three days. But you can still go down to the front desk and request clean towels daily if you wish. The breakfast was good and the pool was great. The pool was clean and so was my room. The first room I went to the AC wasn’t blowing cold and the front desk moved me. No questions asked right away. Overall, I will say it was a great stay and I will come again.

    I had a pleasant stay overall. The breakfast was nice, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, after a few days, I started to notice a moldy smell. Upon investigating, I discovered that water from the AC was dripping onto the rug, making it extremely wet and causing a moldy odor.     The front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would say interacting with them was the best part of the stay. However, the property is in desperate need of a renovation. During our stay the bathroom light went out and no one ever came to fix it which left us bathing in the dark despite us constantly asking. The faucet leaked profusely and the rug in the room held a mold like odor. As for the breakfast there wasn’t much options and the patties were undercooked. Lastly, the housekeeping staff only cleans every three days which can cause large amounts of trash to especially when traveling in large numbers. The housekeeping staff were also disrespectful towards guest. In the past this hotel was a great option for families but it is no longer at the standard it once was.

    A horrible experience ! I had no water for my entire stay & when they tried to switch my room the smell from the second room was unbearable.     We stayed here 3 years ago and had a good experience, but this time it was a disaster. We booked a room with two queen beds for our two small children (2 years and 7 months) but got two small doubles, extremely uncomfortable. From arrival, the elevator was sticky and dirty, the room carpet was stained, sticky, and smelled bad. In 15 days, the room was cleaned only 3 times despite multiple requests—sheets, pillows, and comforters were never changed. The 4th floor houses permanent residents, creating noise, loud music, marijuana and alcohol smells late at night. A neighboring family with two young girls screamed at midnight and 3 a.m.; calls to the front desk did nothing. We were concerned for the minors’ safety. Basic services failed: no towels at the pool, burnt-out bathroom light never fixed, dryers broken (we lost money twice). Hallways smelled bad, carpets were filthy, and the non-smoking policy was ignored. This hotel has lost all standards—poor service, no cleanliness, unsafe environment, and zero management action. Not for families or anyone seeking peace. We will never return and do not recommend it.

    Cons: The no smoking rule in the hotel is not enforced as their were many persons smoking, and made it unpleasant staff for persons traveling with respiratory issues. This also made it not very kid friendly. Had to switch rooms a total of 4 times over a 9 day stay, due to various issues encountered in the rooms. Janitorial staff is not very helpful and do not seem to care about cleaning the rooms on time and properly. Stayed in 1 room for 5 days and it was never cleaned, even after speaking with the manager. There was also a major clean towels shortage issue that plagued the stay and the pool was not lit for swim outdoors, even though it was open 24hrs. Better management/training and monitoring is definitely need for the janitorial staff and hotel rooms and grounds.

    Pros: Great breakfast and the person managing this did a good job of keeping everything stocked. Courteous and knowledgeable front-desk agent. Excellent location just minutes away from the mall and close to I-595. Cons: The pillows were awful. They felt like they were stuffed with straw. There was a sign that said the doors would be locked at 11 pm and you would need to use your key card to enter, but they were already locked when I got back around 8:30 pm. The sofa in the room looked like it could use some cleaning. While having breakfast on Sunday morning, some of the cleaning staff nearby could be heard complaining about something for a while.

    The staff are very friendly and good help. The gym and pool is nice. It's behind a mall.
