Location was good. Restaurants , gas station and a small Walgreens within walking distance. Grounds are nice. Good parking. Uber rides to and from airport range from about 40-60dollars. Fitness center and pool looked good. Great shower. Sleeping difficult with noisy refrigerator and heating system. Skipped cleaning our room one day because they were “too busy “. Rooms are tired and in need of updating. Witnessed embarrassing behavior by front desk staff in dealing with a guest.

main lobby smelled awful, like dead animals. I thought it was the snow, but stayed again and same issue. Room was clean though. just really bad first impression.

The room is outdated. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The shower was so dirty that we couldn't use it. The toilet seat moved when you flushed. The fridge had more dents in it than a car from the 80’s. Smelled bad, and the AC hardly worked. Needs major updating for $400 a night.

Most importantly, If not for the spiders and bitesI killed 2 different types of spiders in my room over a 2 night stay. Woke up the last morning with a huge bite on my leg. When reporting high levels of noise at 2 AM, the hotel does nothing to address the issue.

2) Our bed creaked loudly with any movement so neither my husband or I slept well at all as we kept waking up when either of us moved 3) 3 of the 4 cardio machines I tried in the fitness center did not work (the upright bike, and both ellipticals) 4) Less important, since I assume this was from something outside the hotel's control, but there was a disgusting odor in the vestibule as we entered and left the hotel going back and forth to the events we were in town for.

Wonderful stay, staff very friendly & helpful, room clean & meticulously maintained during the course of our stay. Didn’t partake of breakfast (had other activities) but it looked delicious. Did arrive late evening of check-in had food/dinner in restaurant very tasty & wait staff lovely

Basic motel in pretty good condition Breakfast was confusing. It’s only included if you have a voucher. You need to ask the front desk if you have an included voucher. If you don’t, you need to pay and it isn’t any different food than what other motels offer for free

While the room was clean, it desperately needs maintenance. Wallpaper was peeling at every seam and paint was peeling. The shower had grout issues that have nothing to do with cleanliness and everything to do with proper installation and maintenance. The toilet wasn’t bolted properly either.

I am amazed that this has been the BEST Hilton Garden Inn that I've stayed at....much better than the one at BWI airport, Solomons Is MD, and Virginia Beach VA. A large and reasonable fitness room, a warm pool area with a hot tub that operates. quiet rooms, and plenty of parking.

Everything was great except the mattress, it was like sleeping on a piece of plywood it was so hard and the pillows had zero thickness/firmness to them.

Had a good stay only issue we ran into was the first room they sent us to stunk of marijuana. Fortunately they had another room to send us to immediately.

Needed to take a shower and just sleep for a few hours before I catch a plane the shower was beyond filthy that type of black dirt mold in the corners that you know have been there for at least a year

The rooms were old and worn. We were on the terrace level (aka) the basement and it was a bit musty. The main level was nice. The staff was very nice. And the water pressure was good!

Just another Hilton Garden Inn that needs a refresh. Stayed in many and they’re all in the same condition. Dirty run down bathroom, old a/c unit in room that didn’t cool down with a mustyv smell. Par for the course from Hilton.

Cleaning staff walked in on me 3 times and the bathroom had mold, and the ac system was not functionally controllable from the pad.

While the main things were clean and well-run it is obvious that the property needs a thorough upgrade/cleaning...hallway carpets wrinked and dirty, common area seating should be replaced or steam cleaned, toilet in bathroom outdated ..very low to floor.

The first room I checked into on the "terrace" level (ie basement) was really damp, with mold growing in the shower and a horrible smell in the bathroom in general. To their credit, they quickly moved me to a new room on the first floor. No smell but still mold in the bathroom. Needs some attention.

Staff were great, so we didn’t complain but, I think they should be more updront about their accommodations.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Rochester/ Pittsford to be conveniently located to the Buffalo Bills training camp. It was close, easy to park, refreshing pool and a super kind staff. We were delighted with our stay. Thank you!

The hotel was very pretty from the exterior in a good, convenient location. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a slow moving drain in the sink and the carpets needed a good cleaning.

The short stay was good. Very quiet in room area. The room was furnished nicely, clean, toiletries provided and used by me. Breakfast was good - a lot of options. Liked that coffee was available at all times. Easy check out. When in the area I will stay here again.

The hotel is great—great breakfast, firepit outside, comfortable rooms. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any housekeeping for 2/3 days that we were there.

Room was very worn down, our suite did not have any of the basics ( cutting board, bowls etc. Room was supposed to be handicap accessible but had no grab bars

Nothing was said about the wifi at the front desk, nor any sign in the room; single hydraulic elevator was incredibly slow even for that type. Room was booked many months in advanced - rates were inflated for a graduation weekend

Great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Rochester/Pittsford. If you are staying on the east side of Rochester, i would recommend staying here. Make sure to visit the Pittsford Grill and Aurora Brewing Company.

We stayed here to visit family in Pittsford, all told there were 8 family members at this hotel. Our experience was OK. The hotel is old and needs a renovation badly. The bathroom in our room could have been cleaner. The staff was nice, and courteous. Recommended with reservation.

I did not like the smell of smoke right outside the door to the hotel. You could smell it in between the 2 sets of sliding glass doors.

Nice hotel with a small restaurant. They had music the Friday night we stayed. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable.

The desk clerk who checked us in was not welcoming and very slow. He did not point out any amenities. The server in the restaurant at breakfast was rude, and then tried to make up for it by being overly friendly.

Anyone who has sensitivities to toxic cleaning chemicals should not stay at this hotel. The room was quite clean, but the cleaning agents used were extremely unpleasant, and created a serious allergic reaction that did not recede for 24 hours. It was necessary to have the fans on high the entire time and take allergy medication in order to manage. Also, the bed was terribly uncomfortable with clearly very poor maintenance of the mattress in recent years. The staff at the front desk was excellent.

My only comment is related to the smell at the lobby and the dining area which smells of harsh cleaning materials and is not very pleasant.

Beds were hard and pillows flat

the only drawbacks we experienced were for the most part caused by the eclipse happening. the breakfast buffet on monday took forever to seat me and by the time i was allowed in they had been running out of food. Half an hour to access half a buffet? AND we're expected to pay extra for it. Wow. Given the circumstances it should have been complimentary. Also there was some kind of event that occupied the whole front parking lot--again, related to the solar eclipse happening, as they were setting it up for event space. We ended up parking down the side of the building where, thankfully, there was at least a door our keycards would open to the elevator... but also the elevator itself was kind of dicey. there was another one at the other end of the building far away from everything, so that wasn't terribly likely for us to use, and i couldn't find a parking area that would take me close to it, so it was AS THOUGH the building only had one elevator. Would have been better if there were at least two elevators connecting to the lobby. It got pretty backed up. Look, I'm not *that* up in arms about any of this though. I'm not fixing to "die on this hill" proverbially speaking. It was good. I'd probably book them again sometime, even, if the situation arose. It was mostly the fact that their staff seemed to have some adjustment pains to this unique scenario. All I'm saying is that things COULD have been handled better with more training and coordination, that's all. Overall good.

My husband, daughter three grandkids and I visited Rochester to see the total eclipse. The hotel was a pleasant surprise. It was immaculate, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. They arranged an eclipse party outside, with food, drink, music, lawn games and a raffle. The kids had a great time, and made friends with other children staying at the hotel. I give the Rochester Hilton Garden Inn my highest recommendation.

The property was very nice on the outside. Inside the room furniture was quite worn as well as the door casings. The room needed attention. We were disturbed while getting ready in the morning by housekeeping at 8:35 am to make sure we were checking out by 11, weird. The trash service woke us up quite loudly a little before 7 am. The biggest complaint that I have is that the pool looked cloudy with stuff in it so we couldn't go swimming.

Always quiet. Great little restaurant/bar downstairs. Very convenient to Fisher or Nazareth.
