Staff was very welcoming and friendly clean comfortable room.

We arrived very late due to a train delay and staff was very accommodating

Not bad for the cost, though, and close to Carowinds.

It is what it is from the price. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly. Bedrooms had a smell and a lot of rust in the bathroom. You get what you pay for.

This is a low budget motel but you don’t feel it when you’re there. The staff are very kind and professional, they strive to have an extremely organized and clean environment. I have stayed at many places and this is one of the cleanest (which for me is very important). If you are traveling and need a good place to stay at a reasonable cost this will not disappoint -

I love this hotel , love we get to swim wish the water was warmer but nothing to complain about. I didn’t like we couldn’t get extra towels , I hate it wasn’t a blow dryer in my room or an extra roll of tissue .

The customer service was great. I loved how attentive and patient they all were. They were also very thorough in explaining how everything worked and where everything was. I really enjoyed ny stay!

Nice-sized room. King-sized bed was comfortable. Pool was small but clean. Facilities were nice; however, the front desk had to let us into the fitness center and pool since their locks didn't work. *The window frame looking into the pool had rusted metal that a child could cut their fingers. *Between floors is definitely not sound-proofed. We were about to call the front desk when, finally, at 11:30 p.m., the family above got the kids settled into bed. You could hear every footstep of children playing and running. Probably best to ask for the top floor.

The room was nice and clean had the one with a living room had 2 taste in the room. The breakfast is a great little spread from eggs to waffles cereal and bagels. The weekend we stayed it was fully booked lots of kids there and didn't care the parents were letting them race in the hallway but can't control other people.

Our overall experience here was nice. We were two guests who stayed for two days, one night and it was a pleasant experience. We did have a few things that dampened it though. For example, when exploring our room the first day we realized there was no shower curtain for some reason? Also the mini fridge while plugged in did not work at all. And the thing we took most issue with, was that the front desk attendant said our room number out loud. This is an issue because we were two female guests traveling on our own and saying our room information out loud is a safety risk. Instead, the front desk attendant should have simply pointed out our room number to us while handing our key cards over as the info is written on the back. Other then these three things, we had a good overall experience as the price was decent the location had several shops and places we could and did shop and eat at nearby. The grounds were clean and maintained as well. And it was a pleasantly quiet stay!

First off they don't only charge you for your room and deposit they also put a one night hold on my card that still hasn't refunded after we check out yesterday. Luckily we didn't need that money to do what we needed to do or get home with but I'm pretty sure many families travel with only a certain amount of money and 130 of that behind held after you already paid for your stay and a 100 deposit on top of a hold for the night which defeats the purpose of a deposit. The toilet lid was not cleaned and when I asked for more towels and wash cloths the wash cloths had hair in them.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The pool was nice, a little small but worked being an indoor pool. Only complaint was other guests were a little loud at night.

I was charged to have my children go swimming so I don’t agree with this at all

Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Convenient location. Only downside was a couple piece of furniture in the room were a little worn and the pullout mattress from the couch was extremely thin and uncomfortable. Overall, nice visit and one of the only hotels in the area with an indoor pool

I was packing my things a few minutes after the checkout time, and I was disturbed with loud knocking on my door. I didn't answer since I was still getting dressed. A few minutes later I get another knock and I answered it as I was dressed. This was a different person and he came to inform me that checkout was at 11am. I said I know, I'm about to leave. It was 11:15am. He proceeded to other rooms. As I left I met him in the elevator and instead of getting off he escorted me to the front desk. This is how they treat their customers. I always leave the room a few minutes after checkout time, and general hotel policy is you can checkout upto 30min after the checkout time. Here they harrass you, send multiple people to your door so you never have peace, and escort you to reception before those 30min pass. Unbelievable. I felt harassed. Never again

The main thing I had to complain about was staff was putting the breakfast up before time to put it up and several people were still there eating. We had a nice stay with staff being very friendly and helpful. Room was simple yet clean. We had an issue with the bathroom and I called front desk and they provided a resolution. Issues will happen, it is the way the business responds to those issues that really defines them. Breakfast was warm and there were a handful of options. My only recommendation would be to have common areas vacuumed. It seemed they had not been vacuumed; however, it could also be that the hotel seemed fully booked and staff were attending to other needs of the property. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Not terrible but not fantastic. Sink and toilet didn’t drain properly. Shower head was stuck in one position and couldn’t change it. Gym did not have any free weights.

When son showered, got water on the bathroom floor, on to kitchenette floor. Thought something was leaking. the only issue was that you have to consume breakfast in the main lobby, you are not allowed to take your plate back to the room.

If they treat repeat customers this way, I can only imagine how they treat other customers.

We arrived at the hotel on Friday. Our rooms were clean and spacious. The morning breakfast was more than adequate for a hotel buffet style breakfast. I would recommend the hotel, and would definitely stay there in the future.

There was pot smoking in the parking lot and drunkenness in the parking with puke right next to my car. Lobby bathrooms had to be locked (I assume for security). Honestly, with what we saw, I understand the need for this stance. The staff were very friendly and I appreciate their attempt to make this positive. The room had bedbugs. I spent a horrible night . I will discourage anyone from going to this hotel. I actually want my money back. The beds are super uncomfortable and in addition to bed bugs , it was a nightmare.

I love this room. I disliked that there wasnt an option for late check out for late arrivals. Overall, it was a pleasant experience .

The room was very small, no counter space to put anything. The dresser had a broke drawer that wouldn’t stay closed. We reserved room with 5 on reservation, yet there were only pillow, blankets and towels for 3. Pull out bed was broken and extremely uncomfortable. The car parked next to us awoke to smashed car windows and broken into.

AC in the room 205 was very noisy. Walls are thin, can hear TV in rooms next door. Also kids above were playing until 2am which added to overall noise. I realize guest behavior is not on the hotel but the walls are thin. Decent coffee and breakfast.

It was a little creepy. The hallway was dark. There was a closet door in the hall that was propped open that looked a lil suspicious. The early morning staff was a little rude. My boys went for breakfast 5 mins before they closed. Instead of the breakfast attendant letting them know it was too late, he snatched the cup out of their hands and told them to leave. He was rude the day before that as well when we went down to get a pack of syrup and he yelled at me and called for the lady at the front desk who was rude as well. We will never go there again.

Clean and nice comfortable beds

Went down for 3 night stay and had to request housekeeping twice. Other than that this hotelwas a really good place to stay.

For both times that I have stayed here, the hotel reception desk employee was polite and made check in effortless.

We didn’t stay long at the property, but it suited our needs perfectly as a family of 3 with a four-year-old checking in late after a wedding. The check-in process was smooth, the explanation of property amenities was detailed and generous, and the room itself was cozy and clean. No complaints.

Everything be good nice staff

Only real issue and not the best time for itbto have been an issue was the Air Conditioner was really poor. Room temperature stayed tolerable at best. Stayed in Room 300 which was great because it stayed quiet all the time. Location is great.

It was good wen I checked in for my reservation nice and quick but after awhile thought out the day my kids was at the pool and they had to close it down because of a light fixture in the pool never opened back up so I was a mad abt that then wen I checked out the next morning someone had broke into my car and others cars too on the property. So I will never come back here again and the lady at the front desk act like the cameras didn’t work when we questioned her abt it. Sad just sad

The service was excellent. Upon entering I was greeted with a pleasant and clean scent. It was very welcoming element of the stay. The agent at the front desk went above and beyond to care for me and pointed out the options available. I enjoyed the indoor pool and was truly refreshed.

This hotel is a little older and well worn. The staff was courteous and helpful in my experience. The pillows aren’t great, the shower didn’t connect with the spigot quite right, and the AC seemed like it was running warm. The batteries in our tv remote didn’t work but we were able to get replacements at the front desk.

The beds were very comfy and the staff was very polite. The breakfast was amazing

Hotel was pretty clean, the staff was nice, the only thing was the smell outside the hotel.

The overflowing trash at the front of the hotel was a turnoff coming in. The bench by the smoking area along with trash to left of door were both very visible on arrival. After checking in the trash on the second floor was also overflowing with several different bags sat beside it. The smell was not great in the hallway because of it. The room itself smelled musty or mildewy when walking in room, turning on the air and getting it circulating did help.

The staff was super friendly and greated us everytime we left and arrived.

There wasn’t any coffee packets available in my room for in the morning and the breakfast options, while mice weren’t appealing because the entire area was dirty and the trash cans were overflowing.

The smell was horrible. Like really bad. The hallways filled with cigarette smell as well as my entire room. I’m glad I brought fabric freshener and disinfectant with me.

Will probably look at other hotelsnin area. For price this one a little ran down, ac unit in room sucked...nearly at 60 barely cools.

The pictures do not match the description of this location. My son slept on the pull out sofa bed the first night and woke up with 12 insect bites on one hand and 5 on the other. Later in the day we realized they had to be bed bug bites as 8 of them were in a straight line going up his hand and wrist. He was miserable all day. We packed everything up and checked out. I explained our issue with the owner and he, of course, argued with me that it was not bed bugs. Hotels.com further communicated with staff requesting a refund and no refund was issued. I then had to locate another hotel to complete our spring break vacation and pay for lodging a second time. Thankful he was the only one affected and we are not dealing with an infestation but very disappointed to say the least!

Staff were amazing!! Great location and property for families.

The property is nice on the outside and the lobby is modern and up to date. The lobby restrooms were blocked off so you couldn't use them. The next morning, I informed the lady at the front desk about the issue in my room and she wasn't very friendly. In the first room, the handle on the shower was broken and not working properly. That afternoon upon returning to the property, the next room I was moved to, water was leaking from behind the counter in the bathroom. I didn't even bother to tell the front desk because of how I was treated the day before. The day of checkout, we were getting our things together, it was 11 o'clock on the dot and the housekeeper was knocking on the door. I answered and she stated that checkout was at 11am and I told her that we were getting ready to leave, as it was only 11am at that time. Immediately after that the phone ranged and it was front desk saying the same thing. I informed her that we were about to walk out of the room. I don't think that I will EVER stay at that property again. I have never been hounded and forced to leave because it was 11am on the dot. I could understand if they were to be sold out on a sunday night, but it was Easter sunday and the parking lot wasn't full on either night. I don't know what the urgency was but it was very upsetting and the experience was not a great one!!!

Friendly Staff

Great location

The bathroom was not very clean. I noticed our room door had a slight crack at the top like it was off track. Not only was our door like that, several on the second floor are like that. The pool was water was cloudy and there was a few people with children that allowed the children to run up and down the hall until 2:30AM.

We didn't require much and didn't have anymore interaction other than check in and check out. But the place is clean but a bit dated somewhat. Bed was comfy and we slept well. No loud neighbors. I can't say it was a bad stay at all. Just would've spent about $50 more for something with a little fancier name brand since we don't travel much and were in town for one night for a baseball tournament. Only thing after reading reviews had me nervous to park in the parking lot because I've had a few cars broken in so I wish there was a way to alleviate that concern. We just parked right up front in the "special" parking and hoped no one had a problem with it.

Went for Competition across boarder in SC. The location was great and the room was clean and organized. My only reco.endation would be to have more towels.

Great place!

I didn't like how the women working the Continental breakfast area started at you while you were getting food and eating. It was very strange. We actually ended up not eating because of it. So if that was the goal it definitely worked

I took the kids on weekend getaway and this a wonderful option. Indoor pool and breakfast and the room was roomy the kids loved the living room portion they got to hang out without mommy like big girls

Love the layout of the rooms and the beds were clean and comfy but they were staining some of the doors and the fumes were terribly strong but the worst was the bathroom walls.. they were disgusting…no way they had been cleaned at all in a long time!

Told staff of broken dryer and freezer not working. Both boxes of ice cream I bought ruined. Kids running and yelling in halls, doors slamming. Also told staff of strong marijuana smell and they stated they will not say anything because they would leave them bad review but my kids and I did not want to smell this. Wanted to leave and get another hotel stay but could not reach anyone about changing. Will never ever go through this again.

In the description of the hotel it didn't say anything about being charged an extra $2 per night. I went to the desk and asked for 2 sheets of copy paper and the desk clerk acted as though she didn't want to give them to me. I was at the desk the for 5 minutes just for 2 pieces of paper. The staff wasn't friendly or helpful at all.

Very poor cleanliness in our room. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The toilet seat was falling off the toilet. The toilet paper dispenser was loose on the wall. Stains on the couch. Cracked tiles on the floor and cracks and poorly repaired areas of the wall in the bathroom.

Very disappointed in the hotel. Not clean. Kids were asking to go home soon after they dot there. Bugs in the room cracks in the wall just made them very uncomfortable so they stayed only one night. I really really would like a refund for the second night.

A brief stay overnight as we were road tripping. Room was great: comfortable beds and room was clean.

I was charged for something I didn’t even use and have another charge I did not authorize. Walls are thin. There was hair inside a folded “clean” towel. My door key stopped working 30 mins prior to checking out. Housekeeping came in the room before checkout I didn’t even hear her. My son told me she just opened the door. I’ve stayed once in the past no issue. But highly unlikely to return after this visit.

The bathroom toilet didn't flush toilet paper at all. The lobby bathroom was being serviced, too, so we had to use bathrooms outside the hotel
