The breakfast was great! Lots of options. The staff was super friendly. The porch and patio was nice with geese and ducks that you could hand feed. Overall a great stay! The only thing I didn't like is we didn't have a balcony room

I liked our balcony being private and on the river with the view of the mountains and the river.I liked the option of eating breakfast with the same view. The hospitality with cookies and popcorn was great. I think there could be more outlets in the room with more space to get ready when you have more people .

The people are so friendly and the accommodations were very clean and new. Breakfast good and had cookies in the afternoon. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom seemed brand new.

Room was outdated, not as represented on the website. Sheets did not fit bed, one pillow stained with unknown substance and not changed during our three night stay. Cleaning people left dirty rag on floor for two nights, trash was left on shelf from previous guest, bathroom not cleaned during stay. Person who checked us in not very friendly. Breakfast was mediocre. Would not recommend.

Breakfast was great especially when bacon was available. Staff very helpful. Beds were passible. Not quite as comfortable as some but better than others. Room was clean. Would rather had no carpet room as in the hallway. Bath shower dripped so kept the door closed to prevent dripping noise which sufficed. Overall still a good choice.

Indoor and outdoor pool are great. Clean towels alway available. Room are always clean. In the evening they have a fire pit and big rockers around it. They have an open air covered porch that has tables where people enjoy playing games and also eating. They also have cappuccino and drinks. They also pop popcorn and have cookies bye the front desk with cucumber water. I would recommend you staying at the end on the river.

Loved the location, beautiful views of the river. Breakfast was wonderful. Saved money by providing hot breakfast buffet!!! Only thing didn’t like wished the pool would stay open longer. Cause your out doing things time you get back pool is closed, I don’t know why it’s not open later.

I always love staying here, it gives the country vibe, while being in the city. The staff is always friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and breakfast is decent for a "free" breakfast. The river is peaceful and there are plentiful bird watching opportunities. The only thing I wish was different (which is so minor and insignificant in the big scheme of things) is that they offered better TV options. I like to be able to login to my Prime account and watch my bedtime shows :) We will always choose here if available though.

My family and I stayed here for several days over Spring Break. Place was busy, no early check-in. Breakfast was really good, so many options to choose from. Wasn’t able to make it to the indoor pool area due to the amount of people already out there. Enjoyed the fire pit! Would stay again. Wish they had a gym.

Very clean and relaxing.

The place was ideal as a pit stop in between our daily activities going out into the town. Such a brilliant view on our balcony of the city lights and life, and noise proof comfy room and bed for resting. Free buffet style breakfast with extras (cereal, waffles, etc.), included, with staff that was very exceptional and helpful. The indoor pool added the extra activity for the kids to finish their day off with, and the showers were excellent. To top if off, the place is clean, unique and modern wooden appearance, giving you the feeling that you are in a different peaceful, relaxing world, and not in the middle of a hustling, bustling town. Loved it, recommend it, and will be back.

My kids loved the hotel. The highlight was feeding the geese and pigeons their food each morning. The pools were very crowded, but it was also spring break so that was to be expected. Breakfast was good. Overall, it is a nice place to stay. Pigeon Forge was very busy and the river next to the hotel was nice and relaxing.

This is a hidden gem of a hotel in Pigeon Forge. The staff is excellent. Felt like a comfortable home away from home. Will go back in the fall.

We were booked for two nights and we left next day/early. Beds were uncomfortable boards of wood. Bathroom had mold in it. Had noise issues from the road and from rooms next door. We tried to use the pool and there were ducks in it. Checked out early and our clerk made sure to remind us there were no refunds, yet we already knew this since we booked on Expedia

Property felt very safe with a home-like atmosphere. Very clean and beds are very comfortable. Pool was great and had life jackets and toys for littles. The breakfast was fantastic and the coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had! 10/10 would stay again!

The room was clean and location great but what really stood out was how nice the staff was to each other at check in, it made the best first impression 😊

Everything was great except our first night. We had ants behind the nightstand and beds. We called the front desk around 9:30pm to tell them about it. Few minutes later, the maintenance guy came with a can of ant spray and sprayed the walls all around with my 4 year old already sleeping.

Although we paid extra to have a balcony, we did not get one. Had a small patio that had the river next to it, but it was obscured by all of the large bushes in front of it. Room was right next to breakfast hall so we were woken up early by everyone eating. When we asked to move to another room, they said none were available. Otherwise very cozy place to stay

Welcoming front desk, the 24/7 coffee was very convenient, the popcorn from 7-10pm was nice after a night out the breakfast area was clean and the breakfast was a good mix. The indoor pool and hot tub was clean and fully stocked with towels. The room was clean and comfortable the balcony was clean and furnished that overlooked the pigeon river.

The breakfast was a buffet style and was great! The cleanliness of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff and housekeeping is the reason my family and I will be staying here again. They even have a few spaces sectioned out for electric charging.

our only complaints were there were no bath room vent / fan in our room which led to if anyone went to number 2 the smell never left and when we showered everything steamed up which in turn left moisture on everything in the whole room also no ice on 3rd floor room. we took complaints to front desk on first day we were told ice machine would be reported to maintenance never was fixed and we were told there are no bath fans in rooms it all works on a central duct system ? i have a video of the bathroom next to front desk that has an actual bath fan that turns on when you turn light on so not sure why every room doesnt have one ? because they definitely need one

Our rooms were immaculate and the view of the river right outside our balcony was the icing on the cake. I loved the free coffee/ hot chocolate station and popcorn each evening, as well as the hotel being in very close proximity to almost all the worthwhile attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel. Our stay was absolutely amazing.

Staff was friendly, everything was clean, but they got rid of my room on accident, then could only provide me with two separate rooms as a comp, and then offered to switch the next day. I settled for a smaller room with a cot, which was fine since we only stayed for two days. But still frustrated at the mistake. I did love the view and location.

The staff were awesome. Very clean. The free cookies and apple cider were delicious. Also enjoyed the free cappuccino and hot Coco. The front lobby had activities for the kiddos and was relaxing to sit in front of the fire.

Homey feeling and great staff

The room smelled of cigarettes but the staff came up to deodorize. Then when i turned down the top cover the comforter was dirty and hadnt been changed. The staff broughht me up clean linens but i had to change the bed and the mattress cover was nasty. Because i used hotel.com vs just renting room from facility i couldnt go anywhere else. It was also Saturday night and there wasnt another room available like ihad paid for and again being from hotel.com instead if the main place i was sort of stuck. The staff was kind and did their best to help me.

Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is dated, but was satisfactory. Walking to attractions and restaurants on the South side of highway, where Inn is located, is doable. However walking across highway was impossible. Access by car leaving Inn can be considered "frogger" for adults, but we survived and so will you. Breakfast was served late for us started at 7 am.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. The staff kind and helpful. The food was so good. Great biscuits the apple cider was delicious. The shower was very nice. The bed was a little too soft. I like it firm but thats not a deal breaker. I will be back to this place for sure.

Room was nice and clean. The view of the river was nice. There were a lot of children and teenagers during our stay, which meant it was louder that expected in the evening.

Broken bed, upon entering, which I fixed and reported to staff. We drive a Tesla, and the EV charger was blocked by non-EV cars. Staff told us they weren’t allowed to call the owners of the cars cell phones to move their cars. We were eventually able to stretch a cable to another space. EV charging was used in my search criteria to choose this hotel. There is a sign for those spots. Otherwise, nice place, friendly staff and good breakfast.

Upon arrival to our hotel friday, we walked in and were hit with a terrible smell, itsmelled like an old musty basement. The next morning we wake up and all of our shoes and slippers are soaking wet from sitting underneath the window.The windows had literal pools of water on this window sills, which dripped down and got our shoes all wet. I then noticed in the outside vent of the air conditioner/ heater unit, there was black mold, covering every surface. My four year old myself and my husband were sick.The entire four days we were there.Coughing, extremely bad and completely stuffed up to the point we could not breathe at night, which led us not to sleep well. Very disappointed with the staff.Because upon checkout, I had photo proof to show them the water and the mold, and they did absolutely nothing to compensate us for dealing with those things. This was supposed to be a birthday trip for my daughter who just turned four november tenth and myself.Whose birthday's december 1st and we ended up being so sick that we could barely do much.

We got there late and older woman was at the desk. I can’t say enough good about how kind and accommodating she was to my family. She even played with my toddler while getting us checked in. The whole vibe of the lobby is cozy and welcoming. Lots of guests sat on the couches and chairs just to congregate and watch tv together. Breakfast buffet saved us SO much money and they have everything you could want. The man who seemed to be in charge of the kitchen would come out and talk to everyone at the ending hours of the buffet. He was exceptional as well. The river is beautiful and the geese are entertaining. It’s like a little slice of Heaven in a busy city. Room was very clean and next year we plan on going back and getting balcony and room! Can’t wait to visit again!

My husband and enjoyed everything including the awesome staff, that are always helpful. Nice rooms, comfortable mattresses. We love the breakfast Buffett in the morning and the fire pit at night and also the location. It’s by the river walk were we enjoyed walks in morning and afternoon, with lots of ducts, geese and the rolling stream is so peaceful

Check in was quick and Kathlynn was very nice. The room was good, a bit dated, but fine. We didn't spend much time in the room anyway. The breakfast was good and there were plenty of choices. Coffee and hot chocolate are available all day. The area around the fire pit was great. We enjoyed sitting here and looking at the river. The geese are very friendly! The bathroom in our room wasn't super clean (mildew on grout in a couple of places) but was sufficient. They had a place for children to play in the lobby area, which was nice. Our four year old really enjoyed this space. I'd stay here again!

everyone we interacted with was wonderful, but especially Sayrah at the front desk. it was a bit of a bummer that the hot tub didn’t work though. it was warm, but the jets wouldn’t stay on for more than 30 seconds — had a long drive in, would have been nice. other than that, the facilities were extremely clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.

They pop, popcorn and make cookies for the guests in the evenings. They are very wildlife conscious . They check in on their guests to make sure that housekeeping is up to par. And the hotel staff are very knowledgeable about the area and able to give great suggestions. And a shout out to Sayra, she just made our stay as close to perfect as possible! She is super friendly and always has a great attitude! We will definitely stay there again!

This was our first time staying here and it exceeded all of my expectations. We really needed this trip. The staff was really nice. The man that was at the front desk was very clean cut, professional and spoke so eloquently. The popcorn was popping, cookies baked, it just felt like home. The only thing I wish we would have done was get the cart and load it up, prior to parking because our room was so close to the lobby☝. I also wish we would have gotten here earlier however there was so much traffic due to the car show. The breakfast was great and the scenery is beautiful. We will be back!!

Clean room, Staff was great, didn’t eat breakfast but smelled delicious

This was our second stay at The Inn on the River, and we will definitely be back. Having been going to Pigeon Forge for 25 years and staying in various places, we can say The Inn on the River makes you feel like family and as if you're at home. From the breakfast, cookies and popcorn to the rooms themselves, it was another great stay. Even though the geese outside our room loved honking 24/7, we adapted to them as they did to us. Love the location along the river and walkability to nearby shops and restaurants. Additionally, as I had to work some while there, loved being able to work in the room or inside the glass patio type room with ease. Great place!

Clean, affordable, awesome breakfast buffet, friendly staff, convenient location. The lobby and patios are great for evening visits with friends. It's also next to the river. Restaurants, shopping, and attractions are close by, some within walking distance. Great place to stay!

Beautiful scenery, good breakfast, staff was super at check in, room was extremely clean and nice. Mattresse was good for a hotel, pillows are small so bring your favorite from home. I would rate the stay 10 out of 10

The hotel was very clean. The room was very nice. Housekeeping came in everyday to tidy up and refresh. The breakfast was nice for a hotel breakfast. The biggest problem was the bed! It was very uncomfortable. We ended up going to another hotel. The toilet paper was also very cheap. The hotel is right off the strip so getting out of parking lot can be challenging. If not for the bed would have been a perfect review.

we were there celebrating our 40th anniversary and I sent word to them about it. when we arrived in our room, they had put a nice tray with candies wine glasses on the bed with rose petals all around. and a bottle of Cider in the fridge. the room was very clean and quiet. we enjoyed the private balcony overlooking the river. the staff was very friendly, and I even heard a couple of the maids singing while they were working. they served a great breakfast; there was popcorn in the lobby from 7-10 pm each night. we highly recommend this place. and we will try to stay here again in the future.

What a nice place. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. One minor issue, the privacy card you put on your door fell every time you open the door or got stuck in the door so your door wouldn’t fully shut. Easy fix. We will definitely stay there again.

This was a nice place to stay, a very good buffet breakfast, beds were comfortable, close to Dollywood.

The breakfast was really amazing! Not the usual "throw some cereal and muffin out" food. It really was good.

Everything was wonderful ,If I had one complaint the rooms are a little small and needs more lighting.Overall 10/10.

You can see the geese and duck in the stream next to inn it was amazing and so clean felt like home!!!

Pros: Great shower. Places to hang wet towels. Snacks in the evening. Helpful staff. Cons: Too many pillows no place to put them if not using them. Back parking lot is dark and could use some lighting.

This was a great property to stay at; the rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel had a lot of amenities. There is a nice outdoor seating area with a gas firepit and patio seating with retractable doors with a peaceful river view. Lots of breakfast options. Would definitely recommend!

Staff has very friendly. I hotel was very nice. Breakfast was delicious. The only complaint is the toilet paper is like sandpaper, bring your own...lol.

The room was very clean. The staff was super friendly. We enjoyed the cookies and popcorn treats. Th fire pit by the river was cozy and inviting. We enjoyed watching the geese and ducks.

The property is dated. The room layouts are not family friendly. None of the plug points worked, there was hardly any WiFi reception. If these aren’t a big deal, the location is exceptional

This inn is always clean and comfortable. The staff were beyond friendly at check-in and helped us upgrade our room. The breakfast is one of the main reasons to stay, it’s free, it’s delicious, the views in the dining area are awesome, did I mention it’s free?

We had a great time! I loved the creek view from the balcony. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was a bonus.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was convenient to a lot of restaurants and things to do. Property was very clean and right on the river. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved relaxing on the balcony and walking on the river path all the way to the Island. Room was clean and comfy. Staff was fantastic. Affordable and new favorite!

It is always relaxing to sit out on our balcony and watch the ducks and geese in the river. The room is always very clean and comfortable. A refrigerator and microwave is provided for our convenience. We enjoyed getting in the whirlpool and the indoor pool. There is also a nice outdoor pool but due to health issues I am not supposed to be in the sun if at all possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Inn on the River and we are already making plans to return again next year. I would highly recommend The Inn on the River to my friends and family.

Hotel is close to attractions , restaurants, and shopping.

My husband and I loved the river that ran alongside the property. The ducks, geese and pigeons were abundant and eager to greet any guest that came out. The riverfront view from our 3rd floor room was spectacular. The large porch-like dining area was a nice experience while enjoying the abundant breakfast options. We would definitely stay here again if we happened along this way again.

On the downside, the A/C was pretty noisy, and there was only one handicapped parking spot that was near our entrance, but 2-3 EV parking spots that probably should be handicapped as they were right by the door. But again, this hotel was an affordable charmer so don’t let this discourage you!

Great customer service, clean rooms , cozy , enjoyed the breakfast each morning and the cookies and popcorn in the afternoon. Located in the heart of downtown and Starbucks was across the street lol

The breakfast had a lot of variety, so there was something for everyone, though the flavors were just okay. The only other small thing we noticed was that the hot tub could have been warmer. Neither of these things took away from our stay, though, because everything else was so well done. We truly enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in the area!

The property was fine. I do wish the pools were 24/7 access for adults. There was also mold in our air conditioner unit. The staff were nice. We only stayed 3 days so we did not see any housekeeping.

When you stay, get a room with a balcony and the river view. So relaxing! Also, PUCKETTs restaurant ( try the meatloaf!!) and the Christmas store are next door. You don’t want stay anywhere else!!

The Inn was so peaceful. Popcorn time with tea and lemonade was a great touch. Breakfast was hot and many options. Wonderful place to stop and breath on vacation. The ducks and geese will always be in the great memories we made.

Had to leave go to another hotel for various reasons, hotels manager lied to us and charged for a night we did not stay there, not a pleasant visit!!!!

So happy with choice of this hotel Room beautiful and location near several tourist attractions but this hotel along the river is like a little oasis. Room spotless- bathroom modern and shower great.I have nothing negative to report on this hotel

The ice machine on the third floor did not work

The staff was pleasant and professional . The rooms were clean and lots to do in the area. Staff was friendly as well

Having both an indoor and outdoor pool and a hot tub was great with kids. The welcome bag for the kids was also a big hit. Breakfast was just okay. Fresh fruit would have been appreciated. One waffle iron was broken so wait to make a waffle was quite long

Walkable to several places including Starbucks. Lots of ice machines located throughout the Inn. Ample parking behind Inn. Front desk staff was always polite and courteous. Minor inconvenience is that there isn’t a water bottle refill station available other than during breakfast hours.

We loved the stay. It was very comfortable and near all the events and attractions we went to. So the location was perfect! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made our stay extra nice. We definitely enjoyed all the amenities of the hotel. It was very clean and beautiful.

No problems

The hotel looks a lot nicer online. Some of the front desk people are less than welcoming. The geese will wake you up every morning. Room was clean and breakfast was adequate.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable. The breakfast, was far from up to par. Instead, there were powdered eggs, no danish, no yogurt, and they needed more space in the dining area.

The Inn was very well kept and the staff was so very friendly! We truly enjoyed our stay! The grandkids loved the free popcorn and cookies! Will definitely stay again and highly recommend!

The bed is VERY noisy with each toss or turn. The air conditioner is also very loud. Room is very small. Bathroom small too but is clean. Must use dresser drawers or you'll need to keep some bags or luggage on the small table with a group of 4. Not enough outlets!

Unloaded car, checked in with family standing there in the lobby with bags. Front desk agent kept telling us we had to put everything back in the car and drive down to the next door then ride that elevator up. Found out we could have just walked down the hall instead of reloading the car and driving literally 20 spaces down in the parking lot. Room smelled very musty when we arrived. The air said it was set in 65 but it felt like it was over 75 in the room. Entire property is very dated.

We loved our time at the Inn on the River. The breakfasts were great for getting us up and going in the mornings. Everything was just perfect. The balcony over looking the river was nice for unwinding at the end of the day. My wife says thank you for making her 60th birthday a really wonderful birthday.

Room was very nice, bed slept ok but needed a better ( firmer) pillow. Breakfast was good, ease of access to the entrance was not great, everything u leave the hotel u have traffic is bad, and if u went south when you left you have ti do a you turn to get to the entrance

Yes, was a beautiful place to stay for a couple of nights. You will love the accommodations here! It made my stay in Tennessee very comfortable! I will be back!
