Smoky View Inn

Room pics are from years ago. Furniture is worn and out of date. TV are first edition flat screens with worn remote without the back and batteries falling out. Found a roach bug in the fridge so food had to be eaten fast so as not to use it. Bed sheets had spots on them. Pool is cloudy. Never again. Not sure how others rate this experience as Excellent like the reviews say. Yuck.

Water pressure was alright. Roaches in plain view, even more behind the tv stand /microwave area. Thick black dust all over the edges of the shower. The paper-thin walls make it easy to hear your neighbors conversations over the screaming A/C from the 80’s. The walls themselves were dirty. Part of the headboard was broken off and hidden behind my bathroom door. The floor was peeling up in many places, potentially making a tripping hazard. Checked out a day early, and had to fight to get a refund for the one night. The girl at the front desk didn’t even seem surprised about the roaches, I feel like she’s heard it many times.

Easy access, clean. Steep driveway off street, drag hitch. Very tall bed, challenge for short person.

The room was worth what I paid but I’m convinced that the top comforter on the bed definitely does not get washed between stays the comforter in our room had small holes. And it was blonde hair left through out the room the hotel rooms are in need of a deep cleaning. My fridge did not get cold. My bathroom Tub would not drain and when we reported it we were given an apology and plunger to fix it. But overall we didn’t pay much to stay for one night so it was worth what we paid I guess. Most likely won’t stay again but 1 night was ok.

Nice rooms, comfortable beds. Mini refrigerator, big TV. Very economical, you'll save on the low cost of rooms. Staff was friendly. The only thing I didn't like was it was kind of tricky entering the parking lot. The lot and motel sit atop a steep hill. Once you drive up the hill it's alright.

We really liked the location, the red light made it so easy to get to and from the hotel in all the traffic. We also really liked the price, especially for a holiday weekend. And when we found our mini fridge wasn’t working, they promptly had the maintenance crew look at it and it was fixed by the time we came back to the room. It’s a little dated. The rooms need a little upgrading. The furniture was a little beat up and the bed covering had a burnt hole in it.

A good place to stay if youre just looking for somewhere reasonable and clean to sleep during your time in the mountains. TV went out and in, some channels didnt get a signal but beds were comfy and hotel is a phenomenal less than 15 minute distance from all the major attractions in the area.

The room was nasty. The sheets hadn’t even been changed… hair everywhere. Bathroom nasty. They wouldn’t give me back my money. The rooms smelled bad. We left, no way could I stay there. And they charged my credit card more than it was supposed to be.

Liked that it was not in the heart of PF per se and was on the Northside, a bit less busy. Suggest that likely all rooms need to be bombed for bugs; idk even what I was killing throughout a two night stay. Key drop was convenient for an early departure. Staff upon check in was friendly and talkative.

Excellent location. Property seems to be undergoing renovations. Found a couple bugs on arrival, so a call to the exterminator might be needed. - - However, we had an excellent stay overall. I would recommend to folks looking for a convenient place to rest after a long day of adventure.

The hotel is in a good location across the street from the Hard Rock and Titanic. There were cigarette holes in the bedding and the room smelled dirty

A very nice hotel; for the price, it's really just a place to rest. My reservation said it included a continental breakfast, but the only thing available was coffee.

Only problem was bed was so high almost needed ladder to get in and toilet rocked.

AC was good. Location wise, good for local spots. Not the cleanest , at all. I arrived and there were still leftover food containers from other guests. If you need a cheap, and I mean cheap stay, this is it. View was okay, nice. Building and room was not the cleanest? Staff was staff. Wasn’t rude, also wasn’t over the top. Just a cheap room. Lol

Staff was not friendly. Location was great however. No breakfast, no coffee until after 7am. Bed makes a crazy metal on metal noise when you get up or down.

Smokey mtn was a nice place easy to get to near pigeon forge wonder works and other attractions room was clean beds was great to sleep on only thing they didnt have was a coffee maker but plenty of places near to get coffee and food sonic and others, no.pets allowed has a pool but it is march wasnt ready yet i would recommend it for over nite stays

It’s okay for a cheap stay! Room had trash in drawers which means they don’t clean to good! Someone shower cap was in the shower still! It was a last minute trip & cheap room! You get what you pay for!

The room was ok, in my opinion for the price is worth it. Great location, and with a Krystal next to it, which it helps a lot. Many walkable attractions, I would stay again.

I can't stress enough how bad this motel is. There's nothing about it that I can say was positive. Get it remodeled and modernized and do it NOW! They still have keys for the door locks and my knob was loose and on the door among many other things. This place is disgusting and a terrible waste of money!!!!

The room was small as expected but the microwave was super tiny and from the 1990s at best. The pillows were stained along with the mattresses. Also there was a leak over the vanity in one corner and it almost ruined some electronics we had plugged up. There was also mold present. I notified the office and al li got was a thank you for telling us

The rooms were very dirty, didn't even want to step a toe on the ground. The comforters both had dried on stains (had a two queen room), had to go to the nearby Walmart to purchase a bedding set to use. Towels were questionable and glad we brought our own. Our window to the room had a hole in it. Cracked glass in the middle corner. The doors do not close well, have to slam it to get it to close. This location definitely needs lots of work. The only good thing was the office staff was friendly.

It started off bad right from the get go. Over half the amenities did not work, or either werent there, as told, during our stay. For example; the ice machine and pool werent even functioning at all. The internet and tv worked half of the time. This is just the beginning, however. Upon returning to the room after our first day out, my phone charger was missing after the maid cleaned the room. At first, I gave them the benefit and thought maybe she moved it to clean, even though there was literally no reason to due to the location it was plugged into. So i asked several workers and the head manager/possible owner about it and they all claimed they couldnt find it anywhere including the maid cart. So i said, well my charger wouldnt unplug itself and walk away, there was also 0 reason for me to unplug it myself as its only use was to charge my phone at night. They acted like nothing happened and just told that they would call her and she replied she had no idea whay I was talking about. You would think it would get better from here, however, it gets only worse. The room was infested with all manner of bugs. Including stink bugs and roaches. Absolutely disgusting and they refused to do anything about any of it. I will never be back and i suggest you all stay away from this place.

As soon as we opened the door to our rooms cockroaches started crawling out of sight and there were bed bugs.

Smoky View Inn was a wonderful experience. My family and I have stayed here twice now, and already looking to book a room again in the next few months. The staff was real polite. The pool was small, but still fun for us ! Has a small kiddie pool as well. Free breakfast was nice. Had bagles, mini doughnuts, juice, coffee, muffins, cereal and toast . Great price for our budget as well! Another perk was being next door to Krystals and a gas station was a short walk. Motel has a trolly stop close by as well. Also a cross walk to get across the busy street close by. Motel is across the road from Wonderworks and Hatfield and McCoys Dinner Theater. Smoky View Inn not fancy, but a good basic motel!

Not good, but you get what you pay for. I’ll pay more to go somewhere else. I had to change rooms but not much better. Basically gave up as all other hotels around were booked.

Bathroom was dirty, toilet had feces on the toilet seat, towels still had other peoples hair stuck to them, and hair was hanging from the shower rod. The sheets were stained a yellow color. We didn't have a DND sign, housekeeping did tend to our room but it wasn't much better. Housekeeping walked in our room without knocking while we were there.

If you just need a bed to sleep in, it’s ok-ish. Small room but that was ok with me. It was pretty quiet overall. We had a king size bed. One side was fine but you can feel metal on the other side. The sheets seemed clean but the bed skirt had what looked like, um, bodily fluids on it. The floors were dirty and the bathroom sink felt like it had hairspray on half of it. I could’ve run through a sprinkler and had better water pressure, but, the tub was clean. The location was great, right across from Hard Rock. So, very convenient for the Jeep Invasion.

You get what you pay for, no frills. Hard bed, but cold A/C. It was fine since it was cheap. Probably bring a blanket cuz there blanket was kinda gross and the a/c gets very cold unless you turn it off. Free brekfast snacks and a small pool to get in

The only negative thing was the cleanliness of the room. The sheets were worn and actually had holes in them and the mattresses sagged and were stained. For price this hotel was good. Bed was way too soft. I couldnt stay on my side of the bed do to saggy middle. Not a good night sleep for me. Husband liked it. Key also only worked sometimes.

Clean and friendly staff

This property was absolutely disgusting and filthy. There was dead bugs in the ceiling light fixture and Dead bugs all in the mini fridge in the room. The room smelled awful and so did the bathroom which was also incredibly filthy including all the towels being heavily stained and as well as the sheets and bed cover had stains. Not to mention all the crackheads and drug addicts coming and going all night long that LIVE there full time. We would have been better off sleeping in a tent on the side of the road for the night, and that would have been cleaner than this room. Thank god we travel with our own pillows and bedding which I’ll have to burn now.

There were sperm stains on my comforters and on one of them it looked like someone urinated in the bed and let it dry. They tried to claim it was “paint”. I wasn’t born last night. That was for a fact sperm and urine. They are the nastiest people I’ve ever met and have the worse business ethics I’ve ever seen. They refused to refund any of my money even tho the room was absolutely disgusting. My tried to dry off with their towel and white slimey stuff came off of it. I will NEVER EVER stay in that poor excuse for a hotel again. They are nasty!

Beds were comfortable, rooms were quite and pretty clean, they did offer breakfast coffee, juice, muffins, donuts bagels and toast.

This property is terrible. Bathroom fixtures were in disrepain. The microwave was dirty. There was dust an inch thick on the doors. The dorjamb was black in places with dirt. Staff not helpful. Chemicals off in the pool, water was opaque white.

We booked this hotel room for three nights we left after the first night. There were roaches and bugs in the room. We woke up Saturday morning to a roach a big roach crawling on the headboard. There was blood stains on the bedding. There were stains on the sheets. There was cigarette burns in this non-smoking room. We have reached out to management Several times trying to speak to somebody. The manager’s name is Abhi. He is never there when we call. When I asked for the woman’s name at the front, she refused to give me her name. Their breakfast consist of bagels and toast. Overall horrible one nights stay. Disgusting disgusting disgusting. Disgusting how the room was kept, disgusting that management will not call me back or try to contact me.

Let’s start with the cons first. Getting in and out at the hotel can be tough especially during the busy season. So glad there was a pool but I wish the pool would have been bigger to accommodate more guests.i think was mainly for kids that were staying. I think the only other issue was that the air was in the back wall instead of the front. Okay now for the pros: This place is great for people on a budget, people that just need a place to shower and lay there headed before going to Dollywood, or just a last minute day trip. Shower was big and nice, the beds were tall but comfy, property is quiet and has a decent breakfast in the morning. I would definitely stay here again

We were n for the Rod Run. The first day was raining but the second day was nice and dry. The room could have been a little cleaner but overall it was satisfactory. I will stay here again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fairly clean, but could have used a deep clean honestly. The only issue was that the water in the tub was not draining properly, so after a few minutes in the shower, it was standing in the tub. For the price, I couldn’t complain.

Staff was very friendly and courteous. The room however not so much. There was mould all over the room, dead cockroaches in lots of places. And it was very obvious that the bed hadn’t been washed or changed in a long time. Neither me or my wife after stepping foot in that room had any desire to even sit down let alone sleep there.

The property to was clean as far as the room goes floors doors all dirty. Not recommended. I will not be going back.

It was filthy and there were roaches. My kids socks were black and covered in dirt within 5 minutes of arriving. I took a tissue across the floor and it came up black. There was hair and dirt on the sheets. Roaches in the room, caught one and took it to the office and told them how dirty it was also. They said theyve never gotten a bad report or complaint before. Google reviews was full of mentions of roaches and dirty rooms so it was a straight up lie they knew they were telling. They said theyd have the manager contact me in the morning. That never happened. Do not stay here do not waste your money on this disgusting filthy bug infested place.

The room face to the street is pretty noisy.

We arrived at the hotel and the lady at the fromt was asleep on the counter. The room was dirty, sheets and comforter was very dirty, outlets didn't work and was very loose. We had to sweep and wipe everything down before we even brought our stuff in. Guy at the front was arguing with us when we let him know. I've stayed here years ago and it was nothing like this. Definitely unhappy with how down hill it went.

The photo in the hotel description is not of the hotel. Is it is of an attraction across the street. The first room we were given had cockroaches. The second room was dirty. The hotel was run down.

When we checked in the guy up front was super friendly. We took our bags to the room and left. We came back late that night to go to bed pulled the comforter back and there was hair in the bed and on the pillows, stains on the sheets one even had a foot print. Floors not swept or mopped, shower and towels dirty. We went down to the front to complain and the lady was very very rude said said we didn’t check in when she was there like that would make a difference on the condition of the room lol. She said she would give us clean sheets but we would have to make our own bed cause they didn’t have housekeeping that late. Do not stay at this place. I never complain but this was over the top

The sheets and quilt were both dirty and there were hairs in the shower. I also had someone come knock on the door an hour after checking in saying they didn’t have a reservation in my name and were very rude about it even after showing them the receipt from booking it.

Complete dump. Just nasty. My husband laid down for just a minute and I was going to go take a quick bath and he woke up to a bug crawling on him. I found the bathroom in very bad shape. Towels were dingy, 1 roll of towel paper that was half way gone so it had been used. A dirty used q-tip in the floor and body hair on the tub. Needless to say we immediately gathered I things and checked out. My husband told the lady at the front desk what had happened and she was rude and would not do anything about it. We were not refunded our money. Save your time and do not go here. Nothing like the pictures.

This motel is cheap and the people are friendly. But, there are roaches in the bathroom, the remote didn't work and an above ground pool is bigger than their pool. It is not the worst place I've ever stayed, but it is more of a motel where locals live than for visitors.

It was close to different attractions that you could easily walk to. The only downside is housekeeping will inform you that you yourself has to take out your own garbage. Wish there was more cereal options. But for a place to stay for three and a half days was perfect for a small family.

The property was as clean as it could be for an older motel. The advantages for this motel are as follows: close to all entities for family fun, most restaurants and also within walking distances to some events. Overall the room was again as clean as could be for an older motel. Saw a few bugs on the floor, but nothing that was scary. The a/c worked really well for a small room. The bed and coverings and pillows were in great shape. Would I stay again?, probably look into something a bit newer, but overall it served the purpose it was meant for for the two days I was there.

1) our air conditioner only worked on 60° and never turned off. 2) mattresses were FILTHY and the fitted sheets did not fit the beds. 3) the knob on the sink fell off in my hand unsure of how that happens. 4) the floors were not clean around the beds, crumbs and grime by the beds.

The lady who checked us in was very rude. The overall cleanliness of the room was great. The door knob wasnt loose so it took us forever to use the key to turn the knob, the little microwave if u want to call it that was not big enough to put a plate in there to heat up your food and the whole inside was all rusted up, the ice machine you had to pay for the ice, had a young huy in the room next to us stayed outside his room most of the night smoking weed and we could smell it in our room thru the outside door with it shut. Would not stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone

Thick walls so quiet. Very nice breakfast. Clean. Loved the wide stall type shower. (Seriously, why do motels still have tubs?) Very friendly staff. Ample hot water. One of the best in my current cross country drive.

Definitely get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a place to sleep and shower well worth it. The breakfast not good and the milk and orange juice were spoiled. Really did the location because you were close to a lot of attractions.

This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. The sheets were yellow, the showers filthy and the walls/light switches have never been wiped by the looks of it. The lady working on reception was also super rude. Avoid this place at all costs!

Okay hotel for one night, just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Came for spring break and the pool wasn’t even filled/in service. That was not disclosed upon booking. Looks like they have permanent ’residents’ on site too, so my children were a little uncomfortable with that considering one lady was sitting outside ‘watching’ most of the time. Front staff was very friendly though. Again, a quick night didn’t hurt us, but you get what you pay for.

room 107 has a complimentary red sock in the tv stand, some complimentary bracelets in the night stand and an open tube of lipstick behind the inner bed. if they're not complimentary, maybe housekeeping should leverage their pre busy season to deep clean a bit. no bugs. that's always a plus. our used towels were replenished daily which was unexpected.

This hotel is disgusting and outdated. We didn’t even bring our luggage in because it was so gross. If it hadn’t been for the 11 hour drive and extreme exhaustion we wouldn’t have stayed.

The room smelled bad. The heat barely worked. There was no hot water in the sink and the hot water in the shower took a long time to heat up. When I got up to go to the bathroom in the night there was a roach on the microwave. I found another one on the wall the next morning. I was only offered another room. Poor customer service!!!
