Reviews
The hotel's location and staff friendliness are consistently praised across the reviews. However, cleanliness and maintenance issues are recurring concerns, with several guests reporting unclean rooms and malfunctioning amenities.
- Convenient location
- Friendly and helpful staff

- Maintenance issues
- 3/5
Previous guest left a used bar of soap on the top ledge of the shower. Properly cleaned? Doubtful. Having to kill a huge cockroach within fifteen minutes of our arrival didn’t improve my impression either. Renovation work in lobby area created a chemical smell that caused us headaches. Poor timing on our part.
- 4/5
Very helpful
- 1/5
No breakfast was served because it was Memorial Day, that’s their entire business is holiday travel. We left a day a day early after finding the bug.
- 4/5
Very nice. Under remodeling but still was clean and presentable
- 1/5
Man at check was so rude. Hallway carpet tattered and filthy. Construction debris in the room. Toilet covered in a black grime. Terrible breakfast and horrible coffee. Not up to Best Western standards at all. Save 50 bucks and stay at a cheaper hotel, it can’t be worse than this!
- 4/5
The stay was good. I do know I never want a room on the bottom floor ever again. I think I heard every step anyone made that was above. Top floor please for me. Other than that I will be staying there again in the future ..
- 3/5
It was under construction! No one told us this before we arrived. Noisey during day. Construction one floor up above room. NO snacks to buy. Staff gave us water then last night another staff said water was to be purchased. It was clean, staff nice, breakfast ok.
- 5/5
Good stay. Great breakfast.
- 3/5
The hotel was fine, but the bathroom in our room smelled like backed up sewage or something. We had to keep the door closed so the smell did not leak into the room.
- 4.5/5
Nothing
- 3/5
Breakfast was hot and fresh
- 3/5
Bathroom had a smell coming from the drain. The front desk told us that the hotel was under construction but we didn’t see any work being done.
- 5/5
We had an awesome stay! Everything was very clean and looked like it had been recently remodeled. Great stay and a reasonable price!
- 4/5
The rooms did not have USB availability.
- 2/5
It’s fine

- 4/5
It was fine
- 3/5
Parkings was tight. Breakfast was good. Just an average place
- 4/5
Food was hot , but selection was limited. Room was clean, bed very comfortable. Lots of towels, and hot water. Tub was a little slippery. Outlets to charge phone and IPad were scarce. I had to put chair in front of Air Conditioner to keep strong breeze under control. Switch for floor lamp was missing and I could not sit in chair to read. That is all the complaints.
- 4/5
Friendly desk staff. Very good breakfast. Easy access to highway.
- 5/5
Nice remodel in progress, nice variety of hot and cold breakfast items.
- 2.5/5
Breakfast was good Reserved ground floor Jan 26. Called 3/13/26 to re confirm. Not told ground floor not available. Took another room 0n 4th floor at 6pm. Walked into room dirty pillow cases in chair, no hand towels,no wash cloths, no kleenx, hand touches dirty, beer tab on end table, low water pressure.
- 4/5
It was ok but didn’t like that they made me put up a $250 deposit and when I went to check out that wasn’t supposed to happen anyway, but would that being said it was OK just of a place to stay just not what I expected
- 1.5/5
Beds were VERY VERY LUMPY!! Thin walls and upstairs people sound like they were about to fall through the floor. They are in the middle of renovations so I understand the cludder, BUT when I was told I can get a suite because booking said they were available and I arrived and they are not because of renovations, that was not good. The hotel should communicate with booking about the renovations.
- 5/5
Staff was great
- 3/5
Room wasn’t clean on surfaces. Linens and room smelled overally strong of cleaning products.
- 4/5
Shower head was hard to use
- 5/5
Definitely would stay again.
- 4/5
The breakfast selection
- 4.5/5
Clean. Good shower. Nice spacey room. Excellent but simple breakfast(Real eggs!). Quiet. Nothing really. The stray cat outside wouldn’t come to me.??
- 5/5
Everything was great. Room was very nice and clean the king suite was really big for me traveling for myself but I felt very safe and comfortable.
- 1/5
Roaches in room. Dirty bedding. Broken door. Currently doing renovations and dust everywhere.
- 4/5
The ease of check in and also having a good breakfast.
- 4.5/5
I like the quiet and everyone was so polite.
- 5/5
The manager who checked us in was so very kind and helpful.
- 4.5/5
The bed squeaked on one side every time I moved.
- 5/5
One of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was absolutely wonderful! Even though this hotel is off a busy road it was so quiet! I didn't even hear any of the traffic or other guests that were staying there. I am planning on staying here again in mid-February.
- 5/5
This was our second stay in the last two weeks and everything was great. We had the same person check us in and he is so friendly. Sorry I never got his name. Everything seems to be clean and I even told him how it smells nice and clean all through out the hotel. We enjoy the hot and cold Breakfast.
- 5/5
Great price. Clean facility and room.
- 5/5
It was thanksgiving breakfast staff was off which was ok with us. Cause they needed to be with their family also. We had an amazing stay either way we will stay again.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 3/5
It was nice how close it was to everything and breakfast was good. Amenities
- 2.5/5
Available to backroads in Greenville. Staff would not accommodate my needs or didn’t know how.
- 5/5
Located just off the interstate. Room was clean and staff was helpful on recommending nearby restaurants.
- 2/5
Gross. Not the worst hotel but
- 5/5
good
- 5/5
The hotel actually smelled very clean as we entered, the breakfast area was super clean. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire hotel. Great location just off the interstate and close to restaurants. Very quiet atmosphere. Enjoyable stay, would book this again.
- 4/5
Staff was kind. Room was spacious
- 4/5
Only downside was that there was not any plug adapters for charging cables/devices and we had to hunt for enough outlets
- 2/5
When I brought these issues to the staff, they were not helpful and showed little concern about resolving the situation. Cleanliness and basic hospitality should be a priority, and unfortunately this property lacked in both areas. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this hotel to others.
- 4.5/5
Harder to safely access when getting off the highway especially at night due to the road configuration.
- 5/5
Looks great
- 5/5
This location is close to the interstate and shopping is down the street.
- 4/5
Overall it was a good stay. Sketchy when we arrived around 10 pm with a guy sitting in the bushes. There was an issue with the payment from Hotels.com but the front desk staff was helpful, and we were able to get it all straightened out after about 15 minutes. The pancake machine wasn't working but the rest of the breakfast was very good. We didn't really use the internet, but the room was clean and the beds were decent.
- 3/5
Room lacked tissue , no shower curtains, hair around the tub. The bed was comfortable. No regular creamer for breakfast, it was a bit sad. I didn’t bother the next morning. Front desk clerk was pleasant and helpful.
- 5/5
We have stayed here a few times and always are pleased with everything.
- 5/5
The location was awesome. Right next to a cracker barrel. Hotel had a great breakfast as well. Healthy options which I love. Close to highway. Easy to get to. Bed was comfy, Im not a big fan of soft pillows but it was fine. Place was very clean. Pool looked inviting but I wasnt able to partake in using. Fitness center has some equipment that was broken but was still able to get a small workout in.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 3/5
Breakfast was hot and variety. They did not come clean room. Room could use an update.
- 5/5
I have a bad back and the bed was perfect! I had plenty of coffee and towels. Have stayed here before and will stay here again.
- 4/5
Right off the highway.
- 5/5
Front desk team is A1 rated. Friendly and helpful. I’ll be back.
- 4/5
Average to slightly above average stay. Nothing to brag about and nothing to complain about, really. I do wish the furniture had USB charging ports like most hotel's these days, but we made do. I would stay here again.
- 4.5/5
The rugs in the hallways were smelly and a turn off
- 3/5
the front desk was professional and kind however there was a problem with the lock we couldn't use our key. The room was "ok". It looked like the previous guesses split vine over the carpet and there was a crack on the toilet cover.
- 1/5
Caulking was packed in the cracks in rotten areas in the shower .shower curtain was to small. Breakfast had fruit flies in the cheese. Would not stay at again.
- 2/5
The facility smelled like mold and mildew. Had to ask for linens and towels.
- 4/5
Just spent the night passing through. But had a large two room/room . Comfy bed
- 5/5
Just what I needed.
- 4/5
Reasonable price for a ballgame weekend. Fairly convenient to Clemson. Hotel was a little dated and staff not real friendly. Very few amenities.
- 5/5
We love this motel. We would love to stay here again.
- 5/5
The hotel staff were very friendly and also the breakfast was good. The bed was very comfortable. Also the breakfast person was also friendly. I do not find that everywhere. Stayed 5 nights. 👍
- 3/5
Location was good. Hotel was quiet. Breakfast was good. A/C did not cool correctly. Spiders came out of drain in the bathtub. My husband got bit by a spider in the room and his hand swelled up. Refrigerator had huge chunk of ice in tiny freezer section. Plastic cup wrappers found behind nightstand in room. Hotel never offered anything free to make up for the short comings.
- 2/5
Horrible smell in hall and different horrible smell in room
- 5/5
We stay there every year when we visit SC, exceptional customer service with the front desk service and also the breakfast serv Ingrid who is very nice and friendly. A little noisy in the next room and another room nearby due to baseball league. In the next room from us, they kept throwing the ball on the wall.
- 5/5
I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions as it has easy access to The Peace Center . I have never had a bad experience.
- 5/5
It was very quiet very neat and tiny everything was clean the area around the hotel was presentable all it was a great experience
- 4.5/5
Cat smell in the hallway on 2nd floor was bad.
- 5/5
Property was a good value. It was sometimes challenging leaving the property because a signal light is needed at the main road. There was construction next door. They didn't clean your room daily, but they gave you fresh towels on request.
- 2/5
Hotel is very outdated. I booked a suite. When I walked into my room, maintenance was there fixing the shower. I went to the front desk and they put me in another suite. Walked in that room and the smell was unbearable. Told the front desk and they offered me a smaller room but didn’t adjust my price. I moved to that room but was told to hang out there about 30 mins and then my original room would be ready. So I moved altogether 3 times. The towel rack in the bathroom was rusted all over. It was gross. Everything else was okay. Just outdated. The carpet was old and had a few stains. The best part about the hotel was that it was right by the interstate.
- 3/5
We chose this for convenience and value during a family road trip. The breakfast was a nice surprise in terms of options, but I could have done without Fox News blaring from the tv. The tub had some mold in it and there were black ants in our room. The room was a good size and had a few good amenities like a mini fridge and microwave.

The shower in our room had a detachable shower head, but the bracket that was supposed to hold it in place was broken. When my daughter turned on the shower, the shower head immediately fell and struck her on the head. This caused a visible whelp and left a noticeable mark. I am attaching pictures taken the following day to show the extent of the injury. We checked in at around 11:30 p.m., and went straight to bed after our showers. The next morning, I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff upon checkout. Although the employee asked if my daughter was okay, there was no further acknowledgment of the incident—no offer of a refund, compensation, or even escalation to management. My daughter even showed her the mark on her head, but all we received was a brief apology. Given the nature of this incident—a safety hazard in the room that resulted in physical injury—I believe a more appropriate response is warranted. I’m respectfully requesting that some form of compensation be provided for the harm and inconvenience caused. The injury to my daughter could have been more serious, and I hope the hotel will take this matter seriously to ensure no other guest has a similar experience.
- 1/5
Would never stay again
- 3/5
It would help hotels if guests would not I got but report any items during stay or at least at checkout
- 1/5
Booked this stay for my child’s travel sport’s event. Req’d crib for newborn, request accepted, got there late at night for desk to laugh and say they’ve never had one and to “just put the baby in the bed with you”. Attempted to call corporate, left a VM, no one ever called me back.
- 4/5
Everything was good. I was supposed to receive a sofa bed and trying to get onto the highway is a nightmare. Definitely need a light exiting the hotel. Check-in was easy, she was a sweetheart. Thank you
- 3/5
Did not like the checkin process on the phone...maybe cause it was sonething new.
- 1/5
Then next morning woke early by a maid knocking! This is so unacceptable.
- 5/5
Check in was fine. The handicap room was perfect for my husband.
- 4/5
The wall light in our room also didn't turn off as we tried everything... couldn't unplug it either. We were too tired to go back to the desk so dealt with it. Breakfast was amazing!! Although a little late putting everything out, we enjoyed the food very much. Over all the hotel is very good for the price and convenient once you find it (a little tricky if you're not familiar with the area). Clean and the staff is great.
- 5/5
The facility was well kept, very clean and everyone very friendly
- 4/5
Overall the hotel was good. There was mold on the shower curtain and the curtains in the room weren’t functional so you could not block out the street lights or sunlight.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Janaia at the front desk last night was super helpful and very friendly and welcoming!
- 5/5
Easy check out.
- 3/5
Understand hotels are trying to save money by not cleaning/replacing linen when the same guest stay multiple nights. However, the sign in the bathroom says to leave towels on the floor if you want new towels, we did and never received new towels, we had to go to the front desk and ask for them. Also, we locked our keys in the room when we were leaving so went by the front desk to let them know however, nobody was there and we could not wait around to let them know.
- 4/5
The elevator broke when my wife and son got on it. Other than that the hotel was ok
- 5/5
Well kept, rooms clean and pleasant, professional staff.
- 2/5
Was waiting for an alligator to crawl out of the swamp they called a pool.
- 5/5
Good!
- 3/5
Front desk staff was pleasant and allowed us to have an early check-in. Had a small issue with the sheets being clean when we got to the room, but they fixed the problem immediately with a fresh set of sheets. Walked to the Mexican restaurant around the corner and enjoyed a nice lunch. Enjoyed using the pancake maker at breakfast time.

- 4/5
Other than that, a great stay !!
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Easy in and out. No issues and loved the stay
- 2/5
Front desk unmanned. Dirty tub. Bathroom sink sprays everywhere. Garbage in hallway for days. Ice machine out of order on several floors. Had to request washcloths for second night. We would not stay at this property again.
- 2/5
Our stay was okay. My husband and I came to check in and waited about 5 minutes before anyone showed up at the desk to help us. The room was okay once we got up there, but the shower was run down and the handle to flush the toilet was messed up, and the roll of toilet paper that was sitting out had water rings on it and was damp. The bed was comfortable. We went out to dinner and when we came back, we wanted to buy waters. Again, we had to wait about 5 minutes before anyone came to the desk. Then our key card quit working. The next morning, housekeeping tried opening our door while we were getting ready to leave. Overall, our stay was okay. I would suggest staying somewhere else nearby as this hotel was quite old and rundown and the service was not the greatest.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, clean beds, friendly people with a good breakfast! Really enjoyed will stay again
- 5/5
Just a short overnight trip. Check in was quick. Room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a little dated, but no issues.
- 2/5
1st room assigned, door wouldn't. Quickly changed to another room. Less than clean, dusty lamp shades, crack glass on lights, wrinkled coverlet.
- 5/5
The front desk receptionist was nice. Easiest check in I have ever done
- 2/5
Okay
- 3/5
The heat was broken and only 1 thin blanket. Very cold all night. No staff at front desk at check out.
- 1/5
Bathroom is dirty and there is hair and brown stuff in tub. Front desk did not care and were not helpful at all.
- 3/5
I was okay
- 4/5
Front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
Just what I needed.
- 3/5
Sketchy place.
- 1/5
The day after my stay, in 2024 I found bedbug bites all over my body. I was offered nothing in compensation, and they said they wouldn’t do anything about it. I wasn’t even given the opportunity to talk with management.
- 3/5
It was good
- 5/5
Away from road
- 5/5
Nice place to stay while traveling. Clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
It was new construction but a pretty basically appointed 3 star hotel with a gym room and seasonal outdoor pool. Free breakfast was clean and attended but basic. Good value for the money. Safe area. Interstate traffic did not bother, building must be soundproofed.
- 5/5
Good service, breafast good, quiet, fair price
- 3/5
The common areas were fine but the room smelled awful and the bathroom door would not remain shut. Could deal with it for a place to stay after a game but would not stay there for any longer. Needed some TLC
- 4/5
Sad part maids failed to clean our room over the weekend
- 3/5
Very basic hotel
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Good
- 1/5
The staff did not greet us , we did feel welcomed at all . Went upstairs to check our room we opened the door the room has not been cleaned at all .. so we had to wait to get another room which is ridiculous… never coming back to stay here & the room wasn’t that clean.
- 1/5
No power when we showed up. Should not have been selling rooms if no power.
- 5/5
We were seeking relief after the hurricane. Cant thank this hotel enough for welcoming us in and having wifi/water/electricity!
- 2/5
Unfortunately due to hurricane Helene, I was unable to make it to the hotel. I called numerous times but the hotel phone was system was down. I was able to contact a representative on the customer service number. She was very polite and assured me that she would email the hotel and request a change of date for my stay or a refund and that I would receive a return call or email within a few days. That was six days ago. I’m still waiting.
- 1/5
needed a place to stay after hurricane Helene knocked out my power. When i arrived at the property they also didnt have power. I did not check in and they refused to give me a refund. Take your business elsewhere. Why would i pay to stay somewhere with not electricity if that is the reason i needed a room in the first place.
- 5/5
This is a great property on a budget. It is a clean property that is safe and right off I85. Very comfortable beds and decent breakfast.
- 3/5
This was a bit of an unusual stay. The property had no power due to Hurricane Helene. While we were grateful to have somewhere to lay our heads, that was about it. We were put on the fourth floor which meant a long trek up the stairs - thank goodness we brought flashlights! The hallway on the floor smelled horrible- like moldy, stink. Thank goodness the room didn't smell like that! We couldn't open windows so the room was a bit toasty. I hooped in and out of the shower because there was no hot water. No breakfast this morning obviously but we couldn't even drink coffee because the dining area stunk so bad. I understand that they were working with limitations but I do think we should have been offered some sort of discount since the room was non- refundable.
- 4/5
We stayed here during Hurricane Helene. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only downside about this place is the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The electricity went out and was out for 2 days due to the storm and it got very hot in the hotel but that was not the staff’s fault. I feel though that they could have planned better and got a generator for situations like this. The one day we did get to eat the free breakfast it was very good! The other days they were unable to serve breakfast due to no electricity.
- 1/5
I booked a hotel stay here because the supposed good reviews. Well I soon found out don’t always trust those. Upon check in, the front desk lady was not friendly at all. As soon as we opened the door to our room I was blasted with a stale musty smell. Our room 212 had water stains covering the ceiling and wet carpet. On top of that the bed was stiff and linens outdated. So I called down to the front desk with my complaints and asked to possibly be moved. She said she would call right back to address the issue. Well I never received the call back. I will never stay at this hotel again.
- 1/5
My room promised 2 queen beds was not available, even though I had a confirmation. my door didn’t shut properly. When I got to the room the door was open. No cleaning service no one at check in told me I had to request. I asked for 2 extra pillows I only received on pillowcase. The checkin took forever as they were trying to find out what happened to my room and 3 other people checking in all had the same issues.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 4/5
Good stay, reasonable price
- 3/5
My first impression was great. Easy to get to from interstate, helpful at check-in, nice sized room. But a little later, i found cracker crumbs in the phone cradle (the spare one that wasnt plugged in?) There were also some hairs in the soap dish. The rest of the bathroom was nice and clean. I did not get to use the pool. The beds were comfortable.
- 1/5
I liked nothing about this hotel
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
Unless you want your credit card written down UNSECURELY on a piece of paper and put in a box on the counter for anyone to copy, this isn't the place to stay. But the room, breakfast and stay were great!!
- 1/5
canceled my reservation that I had for over a month on the morning of check in while I had already started traveling. Manager promised to call me back, he did not. I cannot recommend.
- 3/5
Overall our stay was fine. My only issue would be with housekeeping, or maintenance department. There were so many things that could've been done, small things, that I could tell get ignored on a regular basis. Caked on dust on the fixtures in the room and bathroom, the marble shower wall had so much soap scum build up it took all I had not to clean it myself!
- 5/5
Just what is needed after a long day of travel
- 5/5
The rooms are big and well kept. Bed was VERY comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. No complaints. This was perfect for our over night stay.
- 5/5
Was in town for family reunion and most of the family stayed at hotel. Everything was great!
- 1/5
Refused to cancel my reservation when I had a death in my family
- 3/5
definitely looks far, far better in photos.
- 5/5
Comfortable, quiet, with friendly staff. Will always stay here when I return.
- 4/5
Location is good 15 min to downtown Greenville
- 5/5
The property itself is just fine, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices and the attendant was really nice also. Plenty of room for parking. The room cleanliness was excellent- no complaints there. The only negative at all was a little mold around the tub enclosure which could be fixed with some Clorox, if not handled soon it will become a much larger problem. All in all a nice place to stay and we would definitely recommend it to others.
- 4/5
Great breakfast, the best coffee, real eggs
