We had the pool to ourselves most of the time which was good. The management and staff was pleasant and kind.

However, either someone had smoked in our room prior to our arrival and we detected cigarette smoke lingering. They had scent masls on the hallway of our floor. Yet,cit did effect our stay. I did report it to management, but they didn't address it while we were there. Not sure we will stay again unless assured the rooms are repainted and scrubbed.

The hotel was overall, very well run and maintained. Great place to stay and you cannot beat the price. Definitely staying here again.

I checked in to my room at 3pm showered and left for the night when I came back it was occupied by another family with my stuff in it went downstairs to confront the front desk and they proceeded to tell me I never should have been check into that room and I needed a different one needless to say I asked for a refund and took my business somewhere else

They charged for parking, the poop and hot tub were dirty, the facility had a strange smell to it, there was also what looked to be like blood on the stairway.

I was a bit surprised as I utilize Sonesta quite frequently. This was the first time staying at a "Simply Sonesta" as this is a downgrade. The hallways have dirty garbage cans by the entrance, and it stinks, floors need a big cleaning, windows were filthy. My room was extremely hot, window was left wide open, no screen- highly dangerous if I had kids with me. I could not shower nor bath as the water lever was not installed and kept falling off and water shooting all over the place, luckily in the bathtub, but how inconvenient. There was a used towel hanging on the wall. The elevator doors were filthy. I came all the way from Seattle and is very upset with my stay. I didn't utilize the kitchen, but in my daughter's room the eyes to the stove did not work. I would like my money back or a credit to utilize at a regular Sonesta location. I tried to report the bathtub mess - but the phones in the room doesn't work. I gave up - showered in daughter's room. I should have complained when I was there but didn't have the time. Never again...

Kind of a basic hotel but i knew that going before check in. Friendly staff. There were a lot of arrivals at once but the lone person at the front desk helped them quickly. I was nervous walking to my room. The hallways and common areas were in really rough shape and kind of gross. I was starting to get nervous about our room and hoping I hadn’t made a mistake. The room was great though. Clean, updated, good condition, and a comfortable bed. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Internet connection is horrible. hallways carpets looks very dirty and are not maintailn.

Hot tub still out of order. No stopper for the bathtub. A little outdated. Other than that the room's amenities were very good & having a kitchen was great. Think her name was Charisma @ front desk was very nice & helpful.

There was leftover food in the microwave, and instead of finding the smell. They set an air freshener in the room. Then, I got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and saw a small cockroach in the tub.

Has decent amenities as far as pool, laundry room, & workout area. Looks like it allows pets. Pool was cold, no hot tub. No in-house restaurant or free breakfast. Property looks clean, but old… needs new paint & new carpet in common areas. Staff was good, pleasant & helpful.

This listing on Hotels.com does not properly express the true nature of the hotel. Granted the location is very good, but the hotel is an older facility. The carpets in the room smell, the place is dingy and old looking, the staff is nice but some of them are inattentive. I booked the hotel not only for the location, but because it indicated that it has a a pool, a hot tub, and a gym. The gym is basic but good for a workout. The pool is OK, but the water was too cold. It would have helped if the water was heated a bit. But, the worse part of the whole deal is that the hot tub was not heated at all. I booked the hotel because I have a bad back and I wanted to use the hot tub after my meetings. One good thing is that there is gathering area near the pool. They do allow smoking and even cigar smoking which is great. I smoke cigars. But, the area was filthy - crap everywhere. They have grills for cooking which is great - but again, crap everywhere. Bottom line - the hotel is your typical Third World owned enterprise with people who simply do not care. I am disappointed with Hotels.com and will never book with them again. Thank you.

The hallways smelled weird and the carpet was dirty. Just a pretty old property that is in need of an update and repairs. The outlet I plugged my charger into completely came out of the wall when I tried to unplug my phone. I definitely would not stay here again.

Was roomy but the smell of wet carpet and huminity was a bit much, the room phone where not working so did the ac unit didnt keep us cool at all, even tho it was at 66 degrees( lowest temp) and high fan, my children and I had a hard time sleeping. There where dirty dishes in the dish washer, but the staff where friendly. Laundry room and workout area look nice. 300 a night was not worth spending if the ac unit didnt work in my opinion. Another concern was the table, my 1 year old kept bumping his head.

Spa out of order over month, dirty footprints in tub, popcorn and pretzels crumbs in hide a bed, not made up for 3rd guest that was paid for, ice maker made 10 ice cubes on 12 hours. Front desk noted no maintaince worker for property. Dirty bathroom floor and toilet. Only positive thing to say is early check-in and front desk girl was very nice and apologetic for condition of property for the price charged.

The staff were fantastic! They were helpful and friendly. The hotel needs maintenance work because many things are broken and in need of repair. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet so we could sleep.

Place was not clean and maintained. Had to switch rooms for it being dirty. Then the one we were switched to was clean but had a musty odor to it like carpet was washed with dirty water or something. The trash at one end of the floor smelled like it hadn't been taken out in days. Luckily wasn't really spending much time in the room. I know it's not the fanciest place but never been to a hotel room that wasn't clean or head a smell. Thought being clean was standard.

The gym equipment needs some updates but still usable. The building needs updating but is very clean

We stayed for 6 nights. The room was big. I liked that some dishes and silverware were provided and some other items if you were to buy food to save money and make in the room. Bed was comfortable. Staff who worked there was nice. Gym was small but got the job done. Plenty of laundry options (we didnt use them just saw them). I will say the inside could use a makeover. Some fresh paint, new carpet/flooring, and new furniture. The air conditioning unit in our room looked like someone did a DIY to get it running from the living room to the bedroom. Would suggest getting an HVAC company to make it right. Finally the hot tub dial was broken so we couldnt use it. Another guest let the front desk know the first day we were there but nothing was fixed which was a bummer.

Rooms were outdated and dirty. Was up all night due to the loud and consistent stopping about us. I asked the front desk if they were doing remodeling and she explained a long term resident is working on moving out about us.

No smart TV it’s right off the freeway so all you hear is traffic all night. For the price that they charged it’s a dumb.

The front desk attendant was nice and efficient. The room was clean. The bathroom was not. The shower had hair on the wall and the walls had not been cleaned in some time. There was a layer of actual soap, not soap scum. There were also false eyelashes scattered on the floor. You can also hear everything. Whoever was in the room above, was running or working out until about 4am.

Bathroom door somehow became locked with nobody in it. It took a while to locate the staff member on call and he was able to unlock the door. On day two, both room keys failed to unlock the room door. Staff member was able to re-activate both keys. There was a strong aroma of tobacco and marijuana smell during the entire stay. In the common areas and bedroom (tobacco only in the bedroom).

The building was not well maintained, photos of the property were generous, and, the was a cockroach in our room unpin entry.

The room was not the cleanest. Furniture was broken. It said things were walkable but it didn't bother saying you had to cross the freeway to get anywhere. Everyone said it was not safest area

The staff called the night before my stay and told me they had overbooked and “canceled all their third party reservations for those that paid real rates.” This late cancelation almost cost us hundreds of additional dollars to find a hotel so late notice when we had booked months out.

The room had a rotten smell that made it hard to sleep or stay there for long. There was vomit in the hallway outside the room, and a dog barking for several hours in a room nearby. When I asked to change rooms, they said it wasn't possible and were not at all concerned. This was very frustrating. I ended up leaving and booking a different hotel, without being able to get a refund.

The room is quite comfortable and clean. The staff was welcoming. The downside was the traffic noise since it is located next to hwy 17. Also we did not enjoy how people seem to hangout in the parking lot but that could've just been during our stay.

Staff called 2 days before arrival date to verify stay- said yes we’re coming, can you guarantee my room? Yes you’re our first call, we have your room. An hour before we arrived I called to let them know we’re on our way- get there & they say we weren’t supposed to rent that suite out & we’re having trouble finding another room. Wanted my son (19) & I to stay in a one bed room- I said no! They eventually found us two rooms which was fine but my sons room smelled like cat piss & I found bugs in my room.

Family emergency brought me to Phoenix and my stay at Sonesta. I was disappointed my first night as soon as I arrived there were uninvited guests in the bathroom. I asked for them to fumigate the next day while j was gone but it continued. Guest would leave for there garbage in the halls and that nade it worse. Expected more for the cost per night.

We were told by the hotel staff that the hotel recently changed plans and the pop and jacuzzi were closed. Also they were unable to give us the three rooms we selected. I spoke with the virtual chat team and they said all they could o was give me $150 in coupons. The reason we chose this hotel was for the pool and jacuzzi. It ruined our stay. I would have changed hotels but we had a concert that evening and there was no time. The hotel halls smelled like marajuana and there were a lot of long term people there who were living in the hotel. Very disappointed with the virtual staff and the customer service they gave me.

I had to cancel my stay after 12 hours and booked with a Hilton 10 miles away. this hotel should be closed. It smelled horrendous - like ONION body odor that seeped the whole room. The carpet was disgustingly stained along with the couch. I didn't have the gall to is Tony he couch, it was too late to check out so we slept there - thankfully the bed was decent. In the morning we woke up looked for other hotels and asked for a refund. This was the unsanitary feeling room I have ever stayed in. I would have preferred sleeping in my car on an air mattress.

Staff is great. Hotel needs some work. It looks like they’ve been updating some things which is great but I had black grout around the tub and the public areas are shabby. Had to turn the fridge off it was so loud. Even tho it’s only $5 a day felt ridiculous to charge for parking.

The room smelled so strong. Was hard to take the strong smell of cooked Indian Food, and O love Indian Food. I think previous resident had been cooking with lots of spices.

Everything was great

The shower curtain was broken off the wall, the locks on the door were broken. Not to mention the three cockroaches walking across the floor

Staff: I think the man that checked me in was scamming me for a parking fee that I didn’t see on the website. When I said a parking fee and was shocked he quickly did a turn around and said he would override the fee for me. Rhonda at checkout was very polite and helpful.

The check in process took way too long and the hotel itself is a bit worn down, but the room was very clean, comfortable and had everything needed for an extended stay.

The hotel was in not in a good area of town. At the entrance, there is a small entryway where you have to get buzzed in by the attendant. The person checking me in_the fact that it was a non-smoking room, which is great for me since I am a non-smoker. Once I entered my room, however it was evident that the room had been smoked in extensively… like an old musty bar type of smell. The air conditioner seemed to work OK, so I just cranked it down to help with the overall smell. There was black mold in the corner of the shower enclosure where the tile meets the tub. The shower curtain bar was drooping, so the shower curtain had difficulty staying at the ends, which allowed water from the shower to spray out onto the toilet a bit. The bed was comfortable enough, however the pillows were very firm. Check out was an easy process, as I exited the place as quickly as possible, the next morning. Would definitely not recommend.

Friendly staff. There was someone from the corporate office who helped me while the main clerk was helping another customer.

Not what I was expecting compared to the pictures. A lot of homeless people near the area and allowed into the property. If you’re simply looking for a place to just lay your head then it’s OK.

I booked a one bedroom through hotels.com and when I went to check in the guy at the front desk told me that they did not have any one bedrooms available and they had to place me in a studio. I had my 2 daughters with me so it was cramped. I still had to pay the same rate for a one bedroom which was a problem for me. It wasn’t the guys fault so I didn’t give him a hard time and plus he took care of our beverages and snacks we got from the main lobby. I feel like I need a complimentary night to make it right or at least give me the price difference from a one bedroom and studios

Carpet all around the hotel and room were extremely old . Our room had a weird strong sort of curry smell that we couldn’t get rid of by opening all windows and spraying air freshener. If you need fresh towels , you need to go back to lobby and take your used ones.

Room was left with old food left over in fridge from previous guest. Whick the front desk was able to switch rooms for me but rooms were old looking fire alarm missing wall plug outlets falling out of the wall, AC didn't work. Was not impressed. I'm glad I only had a 1 night stay. Staff was very kind and friendly.

My 1st complaint is that the doors weren't very accessable to people with disabilities, There weren't automatic door openers anywhere, so it was extremely hard to enter and exit the building with a wheelchair. The 1st room we were assigned smelled very smokey, despite it being a non-smoking room, and the freezer ice bucket was missing. The hallway of the entire 2nd floor wreaked of smoke. The carpet needs to be deep cleaned or possibly replaced, as well as the walls repainted and fabric fixtures replaced, in order to get the smell out. Luckily, the 2nd room and the 3rd floor were fine. The bed was uncomfortable, and the TV didn't have any streaming abilities. The room was not fully stocked with enough dishes, and it was kind of tacky that they were mismatched. One of the towels was stained with a huge black mark on it, and should've been thrown away and not placed back in a clean room. There were only 2 bath towels in the room and no towels by the pool. We had to request some from the front desk. The hot tub jests were broken. There wasn't a bathroom exhaust fan, which is annoying, so showers steam up the room and you can't clear out bad smells. All of the numers on the telephone were drawn on with a sharpie. No breakfast included, just stuff to buy behind the front desk. It was dumb that parking was $5/night for such a dive. They should at least allow 1 car/room for free.

The hot tub was nice the pool was honestly just filled with dead bugs which kinda sucked but I can understand if there was a few critters in there but there was just more than there should have been. Tried the gym which was nice as I am someone who likes to workout even on vacation. On the way up in the elevator on our first night there was some sort of puke or something in the elevator not really sure what that was about but it was kinda nasty. The room was nice had pretty much everything you needed as well as a little store in the building for your basic needs. A few of the towels were used which kinda threw me off I just asked for more. They also asked me for a $100 deposit which wasn’t listed in the description I’m hoping I get that back because I left the room organized cleaned all my dishes put dirty towels in the laundry basket made sure the garbage was in the garbage for easy cleanup. Other than that it wasn’t bad.

Toilet didn't flush & bathtub didn't drain. Moved me to a new room but communication wasn't good.

Property appears to be a low tier property. The toilet in my room wouldn't flush & the bathtub didn't drain at all. Dirt in the tub indicated that it wasn't draining well the last time the room was cleaned. I told them the next morning. When I returned to my room that evening the tub was still full of water but there wasn't a note or message about what was going on. When I went to the front desk, the obviously knew what was going on because they already had a key to a new room made for me. The clerk said they were going to have to call a plumber (i.e., they hadn't called one yet). On the positive side, they had small kitchen appliances you could check out to use.

You should fix the jets for the hot tub, don’t leave a sign saying you’re sorry about the jets not working, just fix them. They have not been working for weeks.

1- you have to be buzzed in to get into the lobby. The parking lot is not well lit and there are homeless people in tents across the lot. 2- the room itself was dirty, mismatched, missing pictures from frames, toilet dirty and toilet seat cracked, sink dirty, bedding was dirty, towels dirty and stained, cheap alarm clock on the dusty bedside table was wrong. 3- Water pressure in the shower was low, and there was a wide open vent immediately in front of the shower which looked suspect. Floor was sticky when I got out of the shower. And the shelving was stained and dusty. The plus in the bathroom did not work. All plugs in the room Gfci rated. 4- loud, outside is the 17 and traffic was heard through the window. Patrons inside the hotel are easily heard, and people outside were loud. My window frame was broken and the screen was bent and not on the window fully. 5- I expressed my concerns with Expedia and requested a refund and that I was unsafe and leaving the premise. The hotel agreed to my refund. Then they changed their minds? Lisa at the front desk was extremely rude and disconnected my call. Will dispute the charge and warn anyone about this place.

Dirty tables, and towels had brown and red stains, but bed was clean. The halls and the elevator smelled like urine, and the third floor smelled like rotten food. Staff was friendly and parking seemed safe.

Not the worst stay but probably wont stay again.The room was very very damp and smelled strongly of mold/mildew, found burnt aluminum foil and a straw stuffed in between couch cushions, there was no ice machine and they charge $4 for a soda , but on the positive side the bathroom that was large and clean, the shampoo and conditioner in the prefilled dispenser in the shower was awesome and they have a nice 24 hr laundry room and comfy beds

The room was okay. Although the bathroom had no hand soap and the tub faucet was broken. My husband had turned it on and pulled up the lever to turn on the shower, it shot out by the pressure of the water and shot out. My husband noticed they had used Teflon tape behind it thinking it would hold. I didn’t take pictures but I sure wish I had. Also the grout around the tub was unpleasant looking. It had black spots on it.

Great location near wonderful walkable restaurants. Condition of the main areas of the hotel could use a refreshing. Pool was in great condition. Clean, wonderful temperature. Bed was very comfortable. Great value for the stay.

The suites are a bit worn out, only queen size beds, and a toliet made for short people, my junk was touching the sides. No USB outlets. The desk guy was surly.

Awesome hotel for the price

Most of the staff are very nice except for one the late shift woman. Wasn’t very nice..was pretty pretty lazy worked from 11 till seven in the morning. She didn’t know.. everybody else is great and I love them. I like going there.

The bathtub was dirty, all amenities are included; stove, dishwasher, microwave, full size refrigerator, sink w/ garbage disposal. Pots, pans, cutting board,dinnerware, and a used sponge were included as well as dish soap. Upon check in, a man with a marijuana joint and a beer walked out. The 3rd floor reeked of marijuana and mildew. Our “neighbors” heard us come down the hall and “checked” on us (were 2 young women.) and said “don’t mind me I’m drunk! You girls are beautiful!” Our screen on our window was ripped and the screen on the room below us was also ripped. The area was an unpopular area, and ultimately we believe people live there.

Staff was very nice.

It was good, the second day the AC wasn't working very well went down and talked to the man at the desk. He offered me a different room no questions asked. He was very nice.

It was a nice hotel however I found a bug in my room quite literally every night. My sink was leaking onto the floor, and the tub creaked so hard it felt like it was going to go thru the floor.

A great stay after a long day on the road

So at first glance the hotel room looked really nice. However, as I started moving around and moving things I noticed that the 2 shelves in the bathroom looked like they haven't been wiped down in days, there was even a hair hanging from them. Then when I sat down to eat my food, a salad by the way, I noticed dryed ketchup on the table so I cleaned it. Then when I went to take a shower the bathtub was clogged and was retaining water while I was showering. Then when I went to use a towel to dry my body I looked at it first, cause at this point I didn't have much faith in the cleaning, and lo and behold there was remnants of maybe makeup in it and it was huge, so I am not sure how it was missed. When I used to clean airbnb I remember being told to make sure to open the towels and look them over for stuff like that so that stain remover can be applied before you wash, so how what looked like foundation and mascara was missed I didn't understand. I told the front desk but there was not care not even a I'm sorry about that. I would stay there again maybe, but I do not trust the clean and I wanted to be sure to say something in hopes that it could get better.

Smell terrible and bathroom door had brown stain. Looks like a poop. When I checked in Night staff was asking me questions and I felt I was in police station.

The room setup and decor, was wonderful....

The staff here were very helpful. The sink in the room got a leak, and it was fixed before I got back and the mess cleaned up. The washer and dryers were clean and modern. The room was comfortable and I had plenty of dishware to cook what I needed. The bed was super comfy, and the AC worked great!

This hotel is amazing! They were super accommodating to me with my ever-changing travel plans the night I booked with them. Check in was easy and it was easy to park and find the room. The room was beautiful! Plenty of room and amenities

Property was clean and staff were friendly particularly at check-in. Nice big desk in the suite and the bed was comfortable. The tv in the room was not a smart tv and the hot tub jets were out of order. Oddly enough you have to take your dirty towels to the staff to get fresh ones. It was ok for price.

I love this place. It’s like a little apartment for you and yes, I live in others are a good time just to hang out and get to know one another is very beautiful and his room big bad air floor is this person I would recommend.

What made the stay truly exceptional, however, was the staff. Every team member I encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure my experience was flawless. Their professionalism and kindness didn’t go unnoticed and added a personal touch that made all the difference. Just oldstaly

$5 charge for parking, that was not mentioned on Hotels. Com or at front desk. This is a regular hotel parking lot that is not near other services, that would be trying to use the lot. I really think Hotels. Com needs to do a better job of including this information in their fees.Room and lobby was very clean. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Handy to places to eat . Coffee in lobby was incredibly BAD!

Signs all over the property saying the hotel is not responsible for thefts from your vehicle. However, they charge you to park??? Bad policy and no security!

Room is fine. The AC unit is a bit odd in that it is retrofitted with a box that sits over the vent in the main room that is supposed to share air with the bedroom, but there is no airflow to the bedroom unless you partially block the main room vent. If you get a room facing the highway it will be noisy so be prepared to have some white noise generator (fan). Pool is nice and clean. If you want good and reasonably priced Mexican, try Valle Luna about 2 miles away - everything was really good. The Papadeux seafood restaurant next door is good as well ( pricey but good).

There was mold in the shower, no ice in the room freezer, but when I broke my rib in a fall she gave me a bag of ice, because the ice maker wasn’t working. It was not convenient!

The girl manager thats there like 24/7 was SO SO NICE and amazing. She was so helpful even when we were needy lol. The pool was cold when we arrived but i told her and she got the heaters going and it warmed up after a day or two. Only bummer of our stay. Some shady guests hanging in parking lot and staying in the hotel but they minded their businesses we minded ours. The room was clean! Some long black hair here and there but fridge and micorwave and bed was clean. Great location. There is $5 per night parking fee. Hot tub was HOT and perfect but only 3 jets. Overall one of the best hotels ive stayed at in AZ. Nice park right behind too.

Friendly staff, helpful, convenient and safe when I arrived back from a symphony hall. I was very pleased with my stay and staff.

Front desk was super helpful and very kind.

My only complaint was that the room had a table top peninsula next to the kitchenette but only one desk chair to sit at it. I did ask the front desk for a folding chair which they supplied. That way my wife and I could email sitting down together at the same place.

We booked here to attend MLB spring training in Peoria. Very convenient location. Friendly and attentive staff. Hotel feels a bit worn but bed was very comfortable.

The rooms are upgraded but the property is not

Did not like the fact that i found a syringe in the door of the electrical panel located in the room. The smell of the room was that of b.o. We were awakened at 2:45 in the morning from the fire alarms and had to exit the building, we were outside for about and 1.5 hours, went back in the room and the fire alarm went off again at about 7:45 in the morning again for about a minute before going off, not a good experience at all!!

Charge for Parking, room are very old and broken. Didnt feel clean to me. Stuff was friendly, but I will not stay there again.

Like the description had said- it was very clean. Never seen a bathtub as spotless as that. Great stay, easy check in, comfortable quiet space. I slept so well.

Easy check-in process. Although I didn’t try any there was complimentary popcorn in the small lobby area. The room I stayed in on the 3rd floor smelled old and like someone had smoked in it previously. I purchased deodorizer to take away the smell but it stayed the whole time I was there. Multiple times when I went to elevator there were 3 large garbage bags waiting to be taken out. Staff was friendly so there’s potential for this hotel to make improvements! :)

She was continuously busy yet professional and kind.

Overall my stay was good. Did not hear noise from neighbours, staff was friendly and helpful. The hot tub and pool were in need of some deep cleaning.

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The only drawbacks were the lack of hot water in my room and I was charged for parking even though I didn’t have a car.

Broken furniture and the front door was very hard to open. Bathroom sink stopper was broken as well. Heater has duck tape on it.

Fantastic hotel with great amenities! We stayed in a suite with small kitchenette and everything you need. Great prices, wonderful security. We were both comfortable and felt safe.

Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Hotel also charges $5 parking per day..

Easy check in. Wish Expedia would list the price for a pet. It was a bit steep.

The couch was dirty and needed to be steam cleaned. The side entrance was also hard to pull the door open; I had to literally yank it hard to get it opened.

Area it is in is not the best with many homeless people in the vicinity but this is common in many areas.
