I like staying at this hotel when I am in Phoenix/Avondale. I only had 1 complaint that I was supposed to have a room refresh after 3 days and that didn’t happen until the 5th day. My trash was overflowing and I ran out of towels. I asked the front desk staff and indicated I needed towels and it didn’t make a difference. It still took them 5 days to refresh my room.

Booked this for my husbands trip he raved about the bed, service, breakfast and said this is definitely a repeat place to stay.

I submitted a 5 star review a day ago, but had to extend my stay and because of this new experience, I decided to submit another review. I had to change rooms and I noticed the microwave had no power. The next day I mentioned it to the nice lady working the desk. I walked to the elevator got off on the 3rd floor and the maintenance guy was right behind me. He checked the fuse panel and we were up and running. I couldn’t believe how fast they took care of the problem. Last review I bragged about the staff, this time I’m bragging about the maintenance folks!

The hotel was great except that our room was facing the freeway and it was SO loud. We had a lot going on that weekend so we were pressed for time - plus -when we checked in they said they didn’t have much available so we didn’t bother asking for another room.

Really nice place, but plan on bringing “Calm” music because hotel it right on a very busy highway and crazy loud all night long.

The room was nicely sized, bathroom was roomy, the layout was comfortable, including a great work station. Slept well - bed was comfortable, the temperature was perfect. Great kitchen area - everything you needed was provided for. Would stay again.

The first night the TV would not work and I could not turn it off because the remote didn’t work. I had to unplug it from the wall. Also the outside noise was so loud that it made sleep impossible. In the morning I notified the front desk and they rest the tv but it still did not work. The front desk changed my room but to an even louder room that wasn’t as nice as the first room. I did complain but I was told it was the only room available. The second night the ceiling light above the refrigerator flickered on and off so along with the loud outside noise sleep was very difficult. Although staff was friendly, I feel like the loud road noise would definitely prevent me from ever staying there again. It was NOT worth the money I spent. I was extremely exhausted and disappointed by the end of the stay.

My reserved room was given to another guest and the replacement room was said to be the same but it was not - it had a slippery tub rather than roll in shower. The windows/walls did not muffle the sound of the highway.

At 1500 She unilaterally tried to end my stay when I already purchased it and it was acknowledged. How much do I have to go on? The PD showed and she had the audacity to tell them I am "yelling," and banned me from the premise. This individual made me feel extremely unsafe and she unlawfully forced me to exit the premises. This is extremely ludicrous and will NOT BE TOLERATED BY ME. The employees are fearful of her, repulsed by her, evident in their uniform demeanor towards her. “Yeah this boss isn’t sensible isn’t reasonable.” This is a pervasive pattern of disrespect towards all employees and guests, and she needs to be immediately dismissed for her unlawful actions today. I will be seeking civil prosecution against her. I will be needing a resolution from both Expedia and Marriot.

I am writing a concern to you in regards to an employee at Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix West/Avondale. This is an African American female who refused to identify herself and noted by employees to be their "boss." She had never been seen wearing a name tag, whereas everybody else has been seen wearing name tags. She repeatedly harassed me and badgered me through repeated phone calls, while I had already informed her respectfully in person that I booked another night of stay. This is around 1400 12/20/25, and I was on the phone with the police department regarding a serious concern I have towards another individual that may be homicidal or suicidal. I had to unplug the phone as I was repeatedly harrassed and could not focus, being on the phone with a police officer regarding this situation. I had already conveyed to this individual that I was dealing with a situation involving untreated mental illness and firearms. I conveyed to her kindly and respectfully, and that I already booked another night. This repeated repeated badgering and harassment IS NOT tolerated by me. She refused to identify herself and ended a conversation with me unilaterally by slamming the door on my face, TWICE, when I was trying to communicate with my grievance. I had to call the Police because she started denying entry to my room and my belongings. And she retaliatorily told the police to ban me from premise because I was “yelling.” No yelling by me

The rooms are actually very modern well appointed studio apartments. Full kitchen and great bathrooms and showers. Plenty of free parking and free breakfast every morning. Great staff and management. We did have a water pressure problem one morning while my wife was showering. City working on water was to blame. Management made up for the inconvenience by comping a night. Very much appreciated. They moved us to the bottom floor and we had no problems. I highly rate this property. No complaints.

My only negative at this property was that it was very close to a major Interstate. Noise was an issue.

Beds were comfortable and the room seemed clean, except the carpets had a weird field to them and smell to them. The room smelt, musty and moldy, and the carpet was almost oily. Also, we killed about eight mosquitoes in our room in the night that we were there.

Room was comfortable but I was given a handicapped accesible room. The couch was in bad shape with the middle sagging. The breakfast was pitiful. All the food was lukewarm including the oatmeal. There was no toast just bagels and english muffins. The sausage biscuits were inedible.

The breakfast was horrible with stale old food and very few selections. No meat at all offered and the stale reheated breakfast sandwiches had an “egg” patty on bread only. Oatmeal was so thick and sticky it wouldn’t come off the serving spoon. Horrible. Nothing like the typical residence inn breakfast !!!! This is why I chose to stay here and was sorely let down!

Only negatives were the linens were very worn and could use refreshing. The bath towel I used had something black on it like maybe it was burned. The fitted sheet was pilled and thin. At breakfast I used the last of the half n' half and didn't know who to tell. I wanted to get a coffee to go but couldn't because it hasn't been refilled 40 minutes later when we were leaving. I probably should have mentioned it to the gal at the front desk but she seemed like she was doing a bunch of stuff already. She was very pleasant for check-out, no complaints about the staff. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuit sandwich (tasty!), egg white frittatas, bagels and some bread, yogurts, 3 types of juice, waffle makers and oatmeal with all the fixings for both. Good variety imo.

The staff was very polite, kind and approachable. I had a delayed flight and they worked me, giving me extra 4 hours without charging me a dime for late check out.

It was close to the event we attended. The room had a foul odor as soon as you walked in. It hit us in the face every time we opened the door. With the building being right across the freeway, it was very loud and noisy at all hours of the day. The TV silenced the sound while on, but it was very loud at bedtime. The walls are really thin and you can hear everybody's conversations in the hallways from their rooms.

Overall I had a good stay. Staff was exceptionally friendly. My one complaint was the breakfast. Meat options were lacking. Breakfast was disappointing.

It is very clean in the room and throughout. We were very happy to be staying in this hotel . We had a long drive and issues along way with car trouble calling the front desk, to let know I was arriving for a late checkin, reassured me to not worry and arriving late with a nice greeting and a beautiful, very clean , luxury room with all the bells and whistles I was thrilled and greatful for it all. We slept very good with 5 nights there , air condtioner central was excellent temp always, room very clean then anywhere we have stayed , staff very helpful and pleasant. Laundry room all worked well except one dryer which wasnt that major of deal as there were plenty avaliable to use. The room was excellent and much better then what pictures even show on the site. Excellent service and inside hotel very clean and modern upgrades. Will stay again in future if need too!

Amazing property! The front office staff and workers are incredibly friendly. It’s conveniently close to the freeway, and I booked it specifically for the Tesla chargers, which were so helpful. I’ll definitely be back!

I was enjoying my stay until I was interrupted by someone kicking my door. When I contacted the front desk, they stated they had been having this issue (teenagers coming in and banging/kicking doors). At that point, I did not feel comfortable anymore. I checked in at 6:30 and left by 10 the same night

Our bathroom had human feces on the toilet handle, floor and one of the hand towels. stains on the tile floors that I didn't want to know about. The manager Tanya Brown's attitude was dismissive and mildly insulting .They told us that if we had booked directly with them instead of Expedia they would have handled it differently(or at all)

The road around the property was blocked due to road construction which made it difficult to enter and exit the property.

This property was so clean, and comfy. We stayed in the king suite, and the only complaint is how uncomfortable the sofa bed was. The young lady at the front desk on Saturday night was so sweet and amazing, thank you for a great stay!

We had a room on the side of the building by the freeway and it was so incredibly loud. They do not have double pane windows. It was absolutely terrible, we could not sleep all night. Let alone could our baby with the traffic noise and big rigs honking etc.

The hotel itself is great! The highway noise heard from the bedroom was a big negative and there are limited choices within a mile.

The staff is extremely nice and helpful. I was disappointed that the amenities stated there was a bar. There is no bar or restaurant. The breakfast was included and very good! Everything was new. That was nice. But the room smelled like bug spray . The windows don't open so we couldnt air it out.

We have previously stayed at this hotel twice before this time around. The hotel itself is very nice, beautiful outside and well decorated and clean lobby and breakfast area. HOWEVER, i really really dislike that we don’t get daily room cleaning. I had to call the front desk everytime for towels… i mean we ran out of toilet paper our trash cans were full .. etc. i really wish hotels like this could go back to daily cleaning. This was my biggest let down. Besides that, our tub was cracked, the mirror was cracked and the sofa bed mattress was very dirty. The sheets we got for the sofa bed was ripped .. not what i expect from marriott

This was definitely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was very nice and the facility was absolutely spotless.

I loved the property and staff itself but just a side note for anyone traveling, don’t use a third party for reservations. I am not fighting two charges on my card because Expedia charged me and so did the Residence Inn EVEN THOUGH they were able to pull up my reservation and see that I had paid. That’s almost $530 for a room for two nights (which should only be $245 along with my almost $400 flight. Just be aware…
