The property is beautiful. The room was nice except I don’t like carpeting. The spa was relaxing.

The staff was excellent and the room was clean and the food was good. There were adults being loud but once reported … it calmed down.

Staff, food and lodging are excellent. Spa was wonderful— only caveat is making a reservation. Their website is hard to navigate on a phone. Had to wait on the phone for too long as well. Spa staff were very attentive once we arrived.

The setting against Camelback Mountain is beautiful and peaceful, and the grounds are impeccably maintained. Our room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. Service was the highlight. The staff was professional, attentive, and efficient at every interaction. Strong amenities, great dining, and a well-run operation overall. I would absolutely return.

Accommodation was lovely, but if the room had issues. There was a creature living in the ductwork and the bathroom floor wasn’t washed the whole time we were there. I find that very disappointing.

Location, considering the time of year in the East! Property is showing its age. All the rooms need refurbishing of furniture and bedding! Cockroaches in the bathroom all week! The housekeeping staff do not speak English! They hit the rooms at all times of the day to clean up! Interrupting us multiple times!

There are so many reasons to love this place. We appreciated the grounds, the room, the amenities, & the spa. This place is our favorite.

We checked into the first room ( of 3) and it was lovely but it smelled like mold. We asked to switch rooms to a non-mold smelling room . The kind valet (Rob) checked us in to a second room which smelled of a "musty" odor, with a sour and earthy smell. It was not the odor of an ozone machine. By the next morning, we had difficulty breathing, and we were both coughing. JW Marriott's staff moved us to yet another (third) room the following morning which was almost in the same state. At that point the joy and relaxing time of staying at the resort lost it's luster. In the last unit we kept the patio door and windows open all night to air out the room to no avail. The front receptionists were polite and helpful but three strikes...! The grounds were beautiful, well maintained and the food was great. The staff gets 5 stars for effort. They might consider investing in some ozone machines. I'm in the hospitality business and I would never rent rooms that smelled that bad of mold especially for those prices.

The two large bugs we found one morning when we woke up. One was in my shoe. One was at the foot of the bed.

He did, he was apologetic and placed me in another room.

One problem - Reserved a cabana (for a fee) for the day. Wanted shade in the 105 degree heat. The fan/mister was not working inside cabana. It was like an oven. Staff said would be fixed the next day - Never fixed all week. Otherwise a beautiful resort.

Location …Great views of camelback mountain The music at the pool. Pools do not need to be nightclubs. Bartender lady tone of voice was not so friendly as she was closing at 6 and it was 5:30 so I didn’t stay.

All the staff was very kind and helpful. The resort was quiet and easy to get around. The spa was under renovations so a little different than expected but the treatments were still very good.

I do not recommend this hotel. This is an overpriced hotel that is older and not super clean. Everyone seems super friendly until something does not go right. They are not very accommodating.

The hotel is very well maintained, the staff are very nice and helpful, it was easy to go around and explore the place. However, what was really disappointing is the inside of the villa. It has a very bad odor the carpet was one of the dirtiest carpet I've ever seen my kids would walk barefoot for a second and their feet turns black immediately. The sheets and the bathrooms were clean but the carpet and the odor wasn't as expected..

Everything at the hotel - 2 lap pools, a large pool, two exercise facilities, including a large gym with free weights, spa, an 1.5 mile hiking train, and all the restaurants - are top-notch. The food quality is superb. The staff are invariably friendly and helpful. I will certainly be going back to this hotel in the future!

I think that for the price, the crib we ordered could have been in the room at 4:30 when we checked in - and not needed the guest to call and remind the staff that it was required. Most other hotels we've stayed in have managed this. This is the first time I've stayed in a Marriott since a disastrous visit to the Essex in NYC. We only used it this time because of its proximity to a family member's home.

Being in the uk and the hotel in the USA initially it was difficult and frustrating contacting the hotel. So if an email address to the front reception was easily available that would be great. Once there the staff were brilliant especially Lux at reception. Being unable to make contact before our stay, we also thought there would be more places to eat however only Rita’s and the pool bar were open and the pool bar closed early.

Very high end resort with top of the line service. Amenities were great and the staff was pleasant. Would highly recommend staying at this resort. Breakfast was deliiiish! And the pool was wonderful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I was not informed when I checked in there will be “resort fees”, then they charged a resort fee that is equivalent to twenty-two percent on the way out!!! They never mentioned it on the way in!!

This was such a nice property to stay at for the week. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The spa was the best! It was in a nice location that was about a $12 Uber ride away from most places. We will definitely be back!

the closet smelled of mildew and was unusable, the floors in the room were dirty (turned our white socks black). We had to wait over an hour in the lobby for the room to be cleaned and the floor was still dirty after.

WiFi was not free, after so much paid. And unfortunately these friends who were roomed next to us ended up sick, the walls are so thin we could hear coughing all night. I will say the food at Rita’s was amazing and also by the pool. For the price we paid and what we had heard about service at JW Marriott Camelbak we were sorely disappointed and hope you can use this information to improve your services for other future clients. Everything from room service to spa services to lunch on the patio was outstanding. Would highly recommend to others and already have! Nothing. It seems as though they've thought of everything!

I was not aware, and the resort should probably make this visible on their website, the “adult” hot tub was broken, and hoppin jacks and the fitness center were both under construction. The staff were very courteous and accommodating. The vibe was old men with sweatshirts tied around their necks, which probably is a good segue into the only downside of this resort. While the spa was rated highly, the prices were astronomical, $300 for a 60 min massage. I also asked to use the pool while my wife was getting a massage and I was told I would have to buy a $50 day pass. You would think I could use the facilities since we were staying there and we booked a massage for my wife (fitness center was free due to the other one being out for construction), but I guess they needed the extra $50. To be clear, $50 a day for a mediocre fitness room 2 lane pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room sounds like something an old man with a sweatshirt tied around his neck would buy.

This property is gorgeous! The location is right in the heart of Paradise Valley and easily accessible. My best friend and I stayed there for a few days. We had an issue with our original room and the resort immediately changed our room and moved our luggage to the new room. Customer service was excellent in that regard! Our room was spacious and comfortable. The property is sprawling. You can walk to places within the property or you can request a golf cart to pick you up and bring you to your destination. We played golf at the Camelback Country Club Golf Course down the road. There was a shuttle service that takes you to and from the golf course and the resort. We played pickleball and reserving it was pretty easy. We ate at the steakhouse as well as Rita's Cantina. The food and service was excellent. I would definitely come back.

Whoever we talked to were very helpful throughout resort. They wanted you to feel welcomed and we definitely would stay there again.

Unfortunately we stayed one night that ruined our appointments for Saturday morning which really sucked since the whole reason why we even flew to Arizona from Seattle for these appointments. My husband and I woke up first thing in the morning and went to the bathroom as usual and I began to scream because there was multiple cockroaches over an inch long in the bathroom running all over the place. We ended up killing one and my husband trapped one and because I was screaming so much as we open the door to our king suite casita. The maintenance was already outside, asking if we were OK which obviously I was not, I understand we’re not from Arizona, but we do travel there very frequently every other month or so and have been doing so the last three or four years. This is the first time we’ve ever had a hotel where there was cockroaches inside and it freaked me out . Maintenance laughed at me and I went to the front desk and was very kind and told them I could not stay another day after they offered $150 off my stay and to go spray the room with bug spray which they did while we were at breakfast and when my husband and I went back 30 minutes after the room smelled like raid, we packed up and shook out our things. There was still parts of the dead cockroach on the floor even though they picked up the body. I was thoroughly grossed out for being a Marriott. checked out and had to cancel all our plans for a vacation away from our children and changed hotels instead.

We had great customer service at the resort and really enjoyed the On the Rocks tasting! Frank and Juan Carlos were great representatives!

We had great customer service at the resort and really enjoyed the On the Rocks tasting! Frank and Juan Carlos were great representatives!

I'm so elated that I chose this hotel because everything was absolutely amazing; everyone was very friendly and professional, from the bellmen to the spa staff. I will highly recommend this property to all my friends.

only improvement, the business center was quite small and maybe more smaller break out meeting rooms for those that need to do some work. i was not able to use my lap top in the conference rooms, since i was not there for a convention. i could only use my hotel room when where my wife and children were sleeping and needed some alone time for work.

Great stay, beautiful grounds, and friendly staff. View from our patio was gorgeous. Our only slight downfall was that the bathrooms seemed a tad old. Would still definitely stay again!

it is way too large and confusing to get around,Restaurant dining is limited only 2 restaurants for such a large property, not a lot of choices for food.Did like the spa

Hadn't been back to Camelback in about 20 years. It was a nice reminder of why I fell in love with it the first time. Although our room could use a little freshening up, the spa, restaurant and amenities are perfection! Great visit!

This property is 5 Star! From the cleanliness, the incredible staff and the food! Live music on the patio at nights was lovely as well. We will definitely be returning to this resort - but this time we will bring the whole family. The grandkids would love the pool area!

Incredibly beautiful. Enjoyed restaurants. Considering the price we paid, Disappointed with how small the room was, how easy it was to hear next door conversations/snoring, and that we didn’t receive replenishments for toiletries despite staying for 3 nights.

This was our second consecutive post-Christmas trip to the Camelback Inn, and we love it so much we plan to make it an annual tradition. It is beautiful, comfortable and relaxed. Importantly, it is not the least bit snooty.

We were charged twice. We paid through Hotels.com, and that was acknowledged when we checked in. But when we received our invoice upon checkout we saw that we were charged again! It wasn’t easy to get this removed, as we had already left and were in our way to the airport. The front desk person was clearly not knowledgeable about check out procedures!

I booked our stay at the JW Camelback 6 weeks in advance on Expedia to celebrate our Anniversary. I selected a king room. When we arrived they told us there were no King rooms left unless we wanted to move halfway into our stay. I showed them my confirmation of booking a King room. The clerk said those confirmations guarantee us a room but that the specific type of room is just a request and is based on availability with no guarantee. So we had to spend our anniversary in a room with 2 queens. Other than this big disappointment, the resort was very nice, very quiet, and very enjoyable.

Location is ideal. Property clean, always. Nice pool. Love the Casitas!! Price is comparable to other resorts in that area, and better than a few of the other options.

We absolutley adored our casita room with private porch and super comfortable king sized bed. The layout was spacious and had great architectural details. The surrounding landscape was so beautiful that we slept with our curtains open so we could wake up to the view! The shower was fabulous as well. Our only complaint is that the room smelled a little musty, but it was very very clean. We chalked it up to it being an older property.

This was a beautiful and relaxing way to spend my birthday weekend! The staff and service was beyond amazing! The spa was awesome as well!

Room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning would not drop down cool enough. Also there was no hair dryer or coffee cups and coffee in the room though the valet was quick to bring it to the room but then I had to tip him for what should have already been in the room.

Had a wonderful time. Staff was fantastic and the food was very good.

This is a beautiful property. Lovely landscaping, great scenic views, nice pool, conveniently located Starbucks in the lobby as well as some good restaurants.

Gorgeous property, friendly staff, good food and great drinks! Everything you would want in a vacation. Would love to stay again in the future!
