Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its historic art deco style, convenient downtown location, and friendly staff. However, guests frequently express dissatisfaction with the parking situation, which often involves additional costs and inconveniences, and some have issues with the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms.

It had character It’s old and no frills. No pool even though booking said it did as well as no free parking . Beds were meh. Booked Hilton for the beds. Could feel every spring
- 3.5/5
Excellent staff. But the hotel infrastructure is old. Our room was pretty nice but the AC was extremely noisy. It was 105 degrees outside so we needed to have the AC running.
- 5/5
The room was clean and staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Great stay. Clean and quiet. Close to everything downtown.
- 3/5
there was no plug for my sleep apnea machine next to the bed. It was kind of weird apparently they think that the lamps function, but they don't. Those plugs are too small. Apparently nobody, but a decorators every state in that room because the light shines under the doorway landing, casting a weird glow in the microwave, glows all over everything.

We were in town for the Diamondbacks. The hotel location was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable. The lobby was a very nice place to relax and hang out with friends. The rooftop bar was ok. Pretty expensive for what you get. Breakfast was very good

Great location in a cool old building. Room was very spacious. We got to check in super early, which was great! Breakfast isn’t included for almost $400 night.

Junior suite with a fabulous view of downtown, in a historic building with a cool rooftop bar. Central location steps away from light-rail. Good eating and drinking options close by. I'm not a big fan of valet-parking, but it seems to work well here--kudos to the attentive, hardworking valets. All in all a great stay! Thank you Hilton.

The space of the room as well as the proximity to Downtown activities is amazing I enjoyed the floors and mirrors. We live in 2025 an age where people video record things to not only showcase their experiences when traveling but it also brings recommendations to good travel spots, so I suggest you guys enjoy the free exposure and allow some filming as long as it's not encroaching on the privacy on other guest or staff. The way the older lady ran me down and nice/ Nastily answered my questions was insane. unfortunately, didn't get to experience the rooftop bar because they open at 5pm and close at 10pm which is a bit of a downer. I wasn't really able to get any good reviews to showcase the hotel because a lady told me I was on private property and when asked if I was able to use the computer room I was told no it's for gust although I was a guest! The views from the room is about 7/10 because they do not have floor to ceiling windows in the particular room we stayed in, I will say the hotel is a bit older and could use some updates in the ceilings of the room because there are visible water spots and cracks. Also there isn't a pool inside or out. unfortunately, didn't get to experience the rooftop bar because they open at 5pm and close at 10pm which is a bit of a downer. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. Pillows were too soft and beds were too hard. Barely slept. Everything else was excellent.
- 5/5
Hotel was excellent! We went to an event at the convention center and it was super close. Our room was beautiful and clean. Architecture of the entire building were great. Parking was expensive but that seems to be par for the course when staying downtown. Only complaint would be staff at hotel bar, they were not kind nor attentive. Gratuity was added in automatically.
- 5/5
Hotel and staff were amazing
- 3/5
Weird noise every 20 minutes, possibly HVAC related
- 3/5
My complaint was that they did not have a safe in the room. Will not be back because of that.
- 3/5
Nice, little dated. Shower was warm, not hot. Good location, staff very nice
- 4.5/5
It was so beautiful, only wish breakfast was included

- 3/5
Staff was very polite and kind but the room was slight dirty and the sink was leaky in the bathroom which might be a hazard to guests slipping and falling in the bathroom. Other than that the location was great for walkable entertainment and good food. Not huge fun of the food service the hotel from Monroe’s but maybe it would been better plated then in a Togo containers they brought to our rooms. Still all in all not a bad place.
- 4/5
No parking
- 5/5
Clean room, great location, wonderful staff
- 5/5
Yes, the room was clean and quiet. And, the entire staff was very courteous including Andrew at the front desk, Manny at Valet and Lillian at breakfast
- 5/5
Only think i didn't like was $6 & $3 bottle water but the same water eda complimentary in the lobby. Other than that, i loved our stay.
- 5/5
All was just good
- 5/5
The windows need to be cleaned from out the outside
- 5/5
Great experience overall
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was within walking distance of restaurants and entertainment in the downtown area.
- 5/5
The hotel smelled amazing! The tile in the bathroom felt odd... might have been the cleaning chemicals
- 0.5/5
The room was outdated, the smell of the room was not pleasant, my partner got bit by bed bugs and the location had too many homeless around the building. The drink on floor 13 was too expensive for the size of the cup. The cup were very small.
- 5/5
Room was big, clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Yes, staff was very helpful.
- 1/5
I mean my fault but a lil
- 5/5
Great staff. Clean room. Really enjoyed my stay
- 5/5
Room was clean and in great shape, staff was very helpful. Great area with various dining and drink options; only a 15 minute cab ride from the airport, so, very convenient.
- 5/5
My stay was very comfortable. I enjoyed a drink on the rooftop bar. The evening temperatures were perfect, and my old fashioned was delicious.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel near the convention center. The variety and value of the breakfast options were disappointed. Get it, captive audience, but $35 for scrambled eggs was a bit much. I did not care for auto tip and service charge either. I know I'm sounding "cheap", its just a matter of feeling gouged at times.
- 1/5
The fire alarm when off 4 times for a total of 2 hours from 12:30-2am casing sleep disruption. False alarm tho.
- 2.5/5
Very clean, great location for our trip, friendly staff Woke up at 1 am with a fire alarm going off. I was on 10th floor and have severe foot pain. Walking down those flights of stairs, standing outside for an hour to find out it was false alarm. Then get back to our room and alarm continued for 20 minutes. I was in a house fire a year ago, so I’m still recovering from the shock of it. Should have had some kind of discount on our bill.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Located close to everything. Nice amenities
- 5/5
Very friend and helpful front desk staff! Very clean .
- 5/5
Great place to stay in downtown phoenix. Close to all the restaurants and entertainment. The hotel has an art deco feel and very reminiscent of NYC. The rooms had great windows providing lots of natural light (all with shades and blackout curtains). Overall great stay and would recommend.

- 5/5
Everything Had to clean carpet in our room, it made it humid inside.
- 3.5/5
The convenience to downtown. The lobby restaurants were not open, but we loved the 13th Floor.
- 5/5
Everyone was very helpful. The proximity to the event, parking garage, and restaurants was excellent. It was a short walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Our room had a great view. The room was clean and comfy. The hotel itself was beautiful. I would definitely stay here again. No complaints
- 5/5
Loved staying here. Just wish parking was more convenient.
- 5/5
Very comfortable and close proximity to events.
- 5/5
An incredible location, very clean and pretty facilities the only problem that theres no parking space and you have to pay 50dlls per night.
- 5/5
Stayed overnight for back to back baseball games at Chase Field. Walkable and convenient to other places.

The hotel is older but in great shape. It was centrally located for my needs.
- 3/5
Hotel is super old and looks tired. It's clean and staff is very friendly.

Little support Too low to floor Toilet was I believe a disability type. Way too low
- 5/5
Stunning Hotel- not to be missed
- 4/5
It is a nice, older structure which has been renovated tastefully. The location is convenient for downtown activities. Their rooftop bar most definitely worth visiting.
- 5/5
Great stay. My only complaint was the water temperature in the shower was Luke warm.
- 1/5
Booked for four days only stayed one roaches on the floor and kitchen and bathroom super dirty
- 5/5

They sold us a Great View room, and it wasnt, we think that the price for a two day stay Vs other hotels near by isnt what we Expected......
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Great
- 2/5
There was no parking for guests and wasn’t aware I had to pay for parking every time I left and came back under the parking garage. I will never stay here ever again. They should have explained all of this to me over the phone.
- 5/5
It was a very comfortable stay for a business meeting - short walk to the convention center
- 5/5
great place for the money
- 3/5
...either way it was pretty bad. To top it off our room smelled like cat urine so that was fun. We weren't in the room a whole lot so I didn't cause a fuss but it was pretty bad.

- 4/5
Location is a bit dicey and parking not great and too pricey
- 5/5
Staff was attentive and incredibly friendly!! The decor was perfect for Christmas. Our room was tidy and clean! I would definetely recommend to a friend.
- 5/5
Lovely old hotel very classy. Convenient to walk distance to the convention center and dining options
- 5/5
Only downfall is parking
- 4/5
We did not have heat in our room and froze all night at 58° when we got up and shower was difficult to figure out also
- 4/5
Was good place. Room was clean. But housekeeping didn’t show up.
- 5/5
We had a great stay! Staff was friendly and we could walk to the arenas.
- 1/5
Bad
- 2/5
Very disappointed in the lack of parking available. It was not disclosed that the parking was not included and I had to park across the street for $35 per day during my stay. Will not be staying here again.
- 3/5
We had a room very noisy
- 4/5
Once we were able to find parking since it isn’t available on site everything else was good. If you don’t mind walking a block from a parking garage by homeless people to get to the hotel then it’s okay
- 1/5
Room was overpriced and parking was not provided. Shower water wouldn't get hot and only one half a roll of toilet paper. Water was $3 in the roon when it should have been free. Had to oay for breakfast when it also should have been included. Do not recommend staying here
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice
- 5/5
Great hotel downtown. Walking distance to everything you'd want or need. The staff were great and the rooms were spacious and clean. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Easy last minute check in, great clean quiet room!
- 3/5
The room is spacious and, despite its outdated style, fairly comfortable. However, even when showering as early as 5 a.m., the water pressure is weak, and by around 7 a.m., there’s practically no water at all. The most frustrating part is that the front desk staff unapologetically explained that since the hotel is nearly fully booked, the lack of water is to be expected.
- 4/5
Staff helpful
- 5/5
Beautiful structure
- 5/5
Large bathroom. 10th floor had view of the area. 5 min walk to Footprint Ctr. Will def stay here again.
- 5/5
Location was great. Bathroom floors were not properly mopped. Everything else was fine.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
From the beginning of being there, the valet services are amazing and helping. The desk staff at the front desk for day and night shift were so helpful, kind, welcoming and hospitable. This will be my go to hotel when in town for work or play.
- 5/5
Property is beautiful. Staff are superb!
- 5/5
The room was very clean and nice. The view is amazing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet. Staff very friendly.
- 5/5
I like this hotel because it is in a perfect location close to restaurants and concert venues. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, plus having a refrigerator and microwave is great!
- 4/5
I like it was some old bank building converted into a hotel. The lobby has character. With respect to complaints of others, there is a parking garage right across the street. Don’t valet. I think that’s where they take it anyway. And you’ll need to get in your room and fire up the a/c. PHX is 115 in the summer. Great for a night…easy walk to Chase Field.
- 2/5
The hotel was very hot/ humid and the AC in the room did not work well. I woke up several times throughout the night from how hot I was. The water in the shower also shut off while I was in the shower for about a minute before kicking back on. The hotel is in a good location but I would not stay here again.
- 4/5
The front desk was great. The valet (and only) parking sucked. $43 a day and nobody there most of the time. Long waits to get your car. The AC was WAY loud! There are signs that they have in-room dining, but no info anywhere on how to do it or hours.
- 3/5
.
- 4/5
Downtown phoenix is not entertaining..
- 3/5
Was not pleased that I had to pay an extra $43 for parking my car. Instead of parking it in underground garage, it stayed on street overnite.
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
Good stay. Conveniently located near a ton of restaurants and event areas.
- 1/5
Worst hotel I've ever been to it was awful we were tode there was parking when in fact there wasn't then they refused to use my card for the deposit and when we finally got some who had a card they would take the front desk lady was really rude you could tell that she didn't think we belonged in the hotel and she didn't tell us we had a conjoined room so when we opened the door to what we thought was the closest we ended up scaring the lady in the other room and the front desk lady lectured us about it because somehow it's our fault for opening a door that 1 wasn't locked and 2 we weren't told about. There was however a really sweet custodian who ended up giving us a voucher for parking which was really nice of him to do
- 5/5
I was given a king size room when I had requested 2 queens several months ago. I was told all of the 2 bed rooms were sold out. The customer service clerk checked with her manager who miraculously found a room with 2 queen beds for me and my sister with a city view. And, surprisingly he gave us complimentary breakfasts to boot. He was very professional and kind. Will definitely go back and recommend this hotel to others. The room is very clean, well appointed and well air conditioned in the 112 degree summer Phoenix heat.
- 2/5
Service and friendliness was really bad at this property. Rude staff and had to call every day to get the room cleaned. After being out of the room all day.
- 5/5
Loved the room. Convenient to the convention center
- 3/5
The only complaint I have is the lack of comfortable beds and pillows. You would think for almost 300 a night it would have a pillow that would actually support your head a little bit. Otherwise very nice hotel.
- 2/5
The beds were uncomfortable and old; the air conditioning unit was super loud and maintenance had to be called, which did not solve the problem, (a/c unit improperly installed. The maid service was bad; she came at 4pm, put a wedge in the door, and then LEFT! I had to go downstairs to request maid service. Both sons contracted food poisoning from the hotel food. Overall, overpriced, bad facilities, poor service, and an overall horrible stay. Two stars is generous.
- 4/5
Had an awesome stay. Suite was big and always clean, close to the fitness room. Customer service was great and we loved our bartender Jeff!
- 2/5
Very Gorgeous hotel, parking expensive & several blocks away in garages. The Valet is greedy & asked me directly to tip him when I needed a few minutes to leave my car & check in before driving to garage. I found it aggressive and wouldn’t stay again.
- 5/5
No free parking around the area. Other than that it’s a beautiful property, everything you need is walking distance, we went to a concert at footprint center hit up a couple bars, it was a great stay.
- 5/5
It is a modernized space with clean rooms.
- 3/5
Nice, comfortable hotel with NO parking availability for guests is horrible !
- 5/5
The overall services and stay were great. The only improvement would be to provide a two-ply toilet paper for guest rooms.
- 3/5
My biggest issue was parking. They offer valet to everyone. On the day I checked in there was a baseball game and they allowed the fans to pay for valet and we were told to park a block away for $15. Why not have the valet exclusive to customers of the hotel and tell everyone else to park a block away? I choose hotels that offer valet so I don’t have to look for parking and carry luggage! Annoyed!
- 4/5
old hotel, downtown no pool biggest drawback for PHX
- 5/5
Convenient location; wonderful Art Deco style; friendly and helpful staff
- 3/5
The Property advertises its rooftop bar as an amenity, but as a hotel guest I was denied entry because they "honor reservations first". There were not only many open tables but tons of space around the bar perimeter. The staff was very rude and dismissive. Not the level of service or courtesy I have come to expect from Hilton properties.
- 1/5
Endless homeless people sleeping at the entrance of the hotel. Unable to find the valet person to get our car numerous times. Dirty dirty rooms and check in was as slow as molasses with only one person checking people in. Horrible
- 5/5
Would definitely come back. Nice chill place to stay
- 5/5
This hotel is lovely! The inside is very elegant. The bedrooms were nice and clean. We didn’t have any noise issues. The rooftop bar was decent. The area around it is much to be desired. Being downtown, there are a lot of homeless, parking without the valet is difficult.
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice and the valet and front desk staff were very helpful
- 4/5
Our stay was fantastic with the exception of morning housekeeping. They attempted to enter our room without knocking well before check out time.
- 5/5
Property was in the perfect location for us to walk to dinner and to a show at the Footprint Center and to a Diamondbacks game. It was very clean and well-appointed.
- 5/5
Convenient and easy to walk around
- 4/5
It was very clean, rooms were very large and comfortable. Parking was a nightmare
- 5/5
All was good
- 4/5
A good location downtown with several convenient places to eat. Very quiet Sunday morning.
