Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness, modern decor, and friendly staff of the hotel. However, there are recurring complaints about the quality of the beds, cleanliness of the bathrooms, and issues with amenities such as the pool, hot tub, and WiFi.
- Clean and modern decor
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Uncomfortable beds
- Cleanliness issues, particularly in bathrooms

Nice hotel, nice views, don't waste your time at Clam Jumper though, terrible service if you can get any service at all.

The staff was very helpful anytime we needed anything. The view from our room was lovely. We enjoyed the pool area very much. The lights in the room were a little hard to figure out, but the staff worked with us.

As well, there is major construction going on as they redo the 4th floor. Our room on the 3rd floor was very noisy, even on a Sunday. Woke us up at 10AM on Sunday. Not my favorite Hilton stay.

Very fast and efficient check-in. Great staff. USB ports in the room did not function properly; however, the wall outlets served the charging function. Suite is very large and comfortable. More than enough food and shopping options less than a mile from the property. I think it is crap that there is a $10 fee to park. I'll stay again.

The air conditioning was not working in room. We had to switch rooms at 11pm at night and then whole reason for staying there in 108 temp was use the hot tub and pool but the water heater was broken. For the price, it was too many problems. Otherwise, the staff was helpful to try to make it nicer.

Everything was wonderful! The only improvement is they need a designated place for dogs to go to the bathroom.

Bed and pillows were comfy First off I wanted to the rooms were beautiful beds and pillows were so comfy! However we did not totally enjoy our stay. The fridge wasn’t working and it smelled! We went to use the pool and the hot tub want working either we were told. When getting up to our room my daughter and I noticed it was really warm in there. I tried to get it to cool but the numbers kept going in and out. Called guests services and Allison was truly a sweetheart. We ended up having to switch rooms! She gave us a voucher for breakfast but because we got to the room late we went to sleep and didn’t have time for breakfast. We checked out and I guess y’all were having a meeting that we didn’t get an invoice. Come to find out when we got to the car my daughter had a ticket on her door for a parking fee. Which is ridiculous! We’re staying at your hotel no covered or valet parking and your charging! We were not told when checking in about paying for parking nor did she ask for our cars information. After all the trouble and stress this stay put on me and my daughter who is 6 months pregnant I think it only fair that you disregard this ridiculous ticket fine you imposed on us! If this issue isn’t resolved my next complaint will be on the reviews page and calling corporate. Thank you for your time and consideration into this matter! Antoinette Hill

They gotta get new mattresses. Stayed he twice now and clearly one side of the mattress is compressed and lower than the other. Hotel is nice but in need of a refresh on some room stuff. Flooring and Beds.
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room had a nice setup as well.
- 3/5
Hotel was right on the freeway and they charge for parking which seems out of line for that kind of Hotel. Beds a bit worn. The place was clean, but just not what I would expect from from a Hilton.
- 3/5
Called front desk several times and no one answered. They weren’t otherwise friendly or knowledgeable. Maids were efficient, pool/spa as expected, free coffee was excellent, but otherwise not impressed. I would not stay there again, think price exceeded value.

Staff were super friendly and genuinely helpful. Rooms were clean but could benefit from a maintenance - eg there was a constant loud humming noise, apparently from the AC, during the night, the blackout curtain was broken midway and wouldn't move and you could feel the springs in the mattress of the pullout sofa.
- 5/5
Staff was just fantastic at check in desk. Hotel is very nice and clean. Very Pet friendly hotel was great. Will definitely return in the future!!!

Very poorly lit guest rooms at night - impossible to read a book in bed. Guest in room above us paced the floor all night and kept us awake.

The Hilton Garden Inn North Phoenix is a nice hotel. No compaints except that they charge for parking. I hate hotels that charge for parking. Just another fee that Expedia did not include or diclose. I might have chosen a different hotel if I knew that an additional $10 per night would be added onto my stay.

The lighting is a little weird with some lights staying on unless the master was turned off but then the charging plugs by breed wouldn’t work. The blinds are broken and wouldn’t move so the room wasn’t dark at night. Charging for parking felt nickle /dimed. Otherwise it was a good experience
- 4/5
We had a lovely stay, but I was not happy that we were charged for internet access. This amenity is usually free at ALL hotels. It's very cheap of Hilton to charge for this.

The AC wasn't as strong as I'd of liked, I'm a hot sleeper so I struggled to sleep since the room wasn't cold enough. A few things were broken like the outlets near the bed and the removable shower head. However, everything else was very clean and staff was great. :)

The beds this Hilton are terrible. Completely broken down and dented in. More than one room was this way no way to switch rooms. I was told well the mattress is 7years old. If you would like to sleep do not stay here.

Hotel generally clean. LED mirrors on all rooms never work properly. Been staying at this location for yrs due to Mayo Clinic treatment. Reported to mgmt but never fixed. Don't like the idea of paying for parking at this location. This might be the norm for Hilton but I can tell you that we will not be staying here if we have to pay for parking. We've talked to others that use this hotel and they agree. We will all be staying somewhere else if Hilton at this location starts charging for parking. Especially since lot is never even full.

The hotel was in a nice location (restaurants, shopping, and major freeway were all located near by). Staff was very friendly and professional. I had no hot water (shower). At best it was lukewarm. The bed was way to soft for my preference. The lounging coach in the room had stains, and someone had previously damaged the armoire closet.

3) Also, odd that they charge $3 for a small bottle of water unless you're some type of a "special tier" member. 4) Second room was ok. 5) Front Desk Staff was efficient, gracious, and outstanding, particularly Hamza.

Yes, the room was clean and the staff was courteous. My favoirte part of the Hilton Garden is the rooms have no carpet. The rooms are large. The rooms are decorated well. The shower and vanity is large. The beds and pillows are comfy. The room is sound proof. I sleep good and that makes for a great stay.

This hotel is so nice and so conveniently located. I have a pro and a con. I love that there was no carpet in the rooms because of the cleanliness aspect however, because there is no carpet in the rooms the noise level from the rooms above you is really annoying. The people above us were walking and moving furniture around until 2 in the morning and we could here it all.

Clear communication upon check in would have gone a long way. There were 3 people at the desk for check in. With something as significant as no hot water, staff could have been checking rooms and blocking off any without. Or at least let guests know immediately so they can check and determine if they prefer a different room.

CONS: NO hot water at this hotel!! Boiler broke (last week?) and they won't be fixing it until this week! Hilton is also remodeling this property, so they were tearing things up. Pool was outdoors and barely warm enough to swim. Hot tub was only 90 degrees and very cloudy, so did not attempt either one.... $10 per day for parking when this location is not even close to downtown and is off the highway in front of a large open field!! Seriously, Hilton?? I'm sure Miss Paris would not have "enjoyed the stay"! This Hilton Honors member was not impressed. PROS: The staff did an amazing job trying to improve our stay! Lillian at the front desk gave us drink and food vouchers - full restaurant/bar at this location. April, our server was very sweet and attentive and Chef Jackie was amazing! One of the best omelets I've had in a long time! Will return just for the food and service! Would have only given this stay 2 stars without them. Hilton did something right hiring this group!

The property was going through renovation. We had no hot water for our 2 day stay. The pool and hot tub was green and dirty. You pay to park your car in a lot that was half empty. You pay for breakfast. Drinks are 14 dollars. Stay away from this place. Nickel and diming your guests is a good way to see them once and never again.

Nice place to stay at only complaints is out bathtub was discolored like if there was paint on it or something all over the tub and the lights are weird if you turn off the master switch the charging ports by the bed don’t work but if you leave it on there’s two lights in the closet that stay on so you have to charge your phone on a different charging port or have light lights on but other than I would recommend!

Excellent stay, desk staff was helpful and friendly. Should I ever be in this area again, I would stay here.

The first room we had had mildew and black dirt on the floor of the shower. We were given a second room and on the thermostat there was a red sticky substance. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again based off the cleanliness. The staff was very nice.

I was traveling with my two kids on our way to Texas. After having a LONG day od driving and an emotional visit walking in to a clean friendly and welcoming environment was the exact kind of ending to my day that i needed. Plus the room was so nice i didnt want to leave.

The location is very near Desert Ridge restaurants and Mayo clinic. I have stayed here before and will again. The food is surprisingly good, restaurant staff do a great job. The pool area is so so, but nice enough. I requested housekeeping on one day, but they only cleaned the bathroom, did not make the bed or sweep. I noticed the headboard to be a little greasy. Housekeeping needs to stop up their game. Otherwise, a nice hotel, interesting decor in the rooms, and excellent bathroom.

Came here to have a little staycation with the hubby and celebrate a friends birthday. The bar tender was fantastic in the afternoon and the lady who helped with breakfast in the morning was just as good. The room is set up perfect for an intimate setting. For the first time in almost 2yrs we finally found a hotel with a functioning pool AND hot tu!. Lots of good eats near by make this location a place we will continue coming to in the future. For the price and location I highly recommend it to everyone.

Excellent locatin. Great Staff, beautiful p00l, all it needs is better wifi!!
- 5/5
I chose this hotel because it is close to Mayo Clinic, and I had a procedure scheduled there. The staff are very kind, and it's very close to restaurants and other amenities. It's clean, the food in the restaurant is good, and they have a marketplace for snacks, really everything you need.

Very nice and clean place! The hotel staff were very accommodating.

Nice hotel - however we had a reservation for a king bed and got a room with double beds. The front desk said it was a problem with Expedia and to contact them. Otherwise the stay was really nice.

It should have included breakfast. The TV off to one side was odd. I loved the desk set up and all the charging options for phones, pods, tablets. There was work being done so the window was covered from the outside but we understood.
- 3/5
The room was spacious, but not very comfortable and everything felt slightly dirty. The rug in the living room was clearly very old and was matted down. I did not want my kids to lay on it. The couch was also old and dirty and extremely uncomfortable. There were “stained” dirt marks on the shower floor. Seems like a good scrub with some comet could have taken care of that. We spilled some coffee on the floor and after we cleaned up the coffee we went to wipe the floor so it wasn’t sticky and the towel was black with dirt. Really grossed me out. There was no breakfast included, which we knew when I booked the place, but they didn’t even have coffee available downstairs. If I wanted coffee I was told I had to pay $2/cup. I won’t be staying here again. I expected more from a Hilton.
- 4/5
Hotel has a cleaning schedule of once every 3-4 days. To receive more frequent cleaning or refresh towels, one must specifically ask for it at the front desk. Cleaning service was uneven, sometimes better than other times. Hotel staff friendly but not always helpful.
- 1/5
If I could give the front desk staff negative stars, I would— their attitude made it uncomfortable just walking through the door. Unfortunately, we weren’t the only ones who felt this way. I understand they were likely dealing with system changes and transitions, which is understandable, but even the simplest details—like pool hours and whether the pool was operational—were unclear or incorrect. Given the temperature was 102 degrees, it was essential for the pool to be open and functioning, yet that information was unreliable. Nice sunsets.
- 4/5
Our stay was good. We did stay while they were transitioning to new ownership with Hilton. To be fair we were give. A heads up prior to our trip but there was a learning curve with the staff and some on-site construction during our stay. The staff was kind, professional, and courteous during our stay. I do think they have room for improvement in explaining how breakfast and their store in the lobby works during check in.
- 5/5
Stayed here for trip to Mayo Clinic. Other patients recommended it. The room was great for my overnight stay. Close to hospital, clean and spacious room. Had a simple breakfast in their restaurant.
- 5/5
Also, they had people on the roof banging around at 6:30 am. It would have been nice to have been given a heads up about that and an apology for the noise.
- 5/5
The room was up to date, especially the bathroom. It was nice and clean and the hotel provides the soap and shampoo. The only drawback might be the mattress; they have an indentation on the inside middle of the bed. When you're lying on your stomach, your back is bending the wrong way. Maybe, new mattresses are in order? I asked for the latest check-out, and they gave it to me. My wife was having a business meeting in the area. I'm glad that I was accommodated by the hotel.

Once I paid for the room, I received notification that the swimming pool was out of service for two weeks. Then found that my window had plastic over it and half of the building was under construction. Ice machine broke, kureg broke and a weird electrical short in the room that disabled phone chargers, unless you left the lights on in the room overnight. Was told I got 20% off dining but they did not credit me for it and made me come down to the lobby for the menu they said was supposed to be in my room. Nightmare

Pool was closed.

Great service
- 5/5
My only this is there was only one trash can on the room and please do better at cleaning the bathrooms especially the showers. Other than that the hotel was amazing and I had a great stay.
- 3/5
The TV was old and dark and the blinds did not work. It was too bright to sleep in the morning.
- 3/5
Super friendly staff hotel was nice but the room doesn’t have the best lighting. Also a bunch of knocking noise during the night. Not sure if that’s the same case with other rooms could be different
- 5/5
Spacious, clean, and modern room. Either newly built or renovated. The entrance and the lobby is as beautiful and grand as any five star luxury hotel. Free parking. Completely met my expectation.
- 4/5
Overall it was clean and comfortable. In the morning we could hear the traffic from our room which woke us up early. The cable tv is terrible and what very strange is that there is not one clock in the room and we had a suite.
- 5/5
Fairly new hotel. Has updated, modern features in room. Bathroom mirror had built in Bluetooth to listen to music while in the shower or getting ready. Staff was friendly. There is a bar downstairs but it was never open. Maybe because they're new??? Beds were comfy & room was spacious. I'd definitely go back. Very close to Desert Ridge for dining and shopping.
- 4/5
Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is great and close to plenty of restaurants and shopping. While the hotel facilities are good, some wear and tear are showing in guest rooms; floor laminate buckled in some places and making noise as you walk over them, mattresses can use rotating; otherwise, it’s good value staying here.

Needed some R & R and it was the perfect location. Definitely will stay again.

Loved the suite. Plenty of room and 2 tvs. Clean rooms and bathroom nice. Didn't eat at hotel but it is available for a price. Loved courtyard and pool area. It was too cold and windy to swim though.
- 3/5
exercise room was well equipped but no water bottles or cups (but there was a water cooler) room was only cleaned once during our 5 night stay very offensive smell in our hallway for 24 hours

This once was a nice affordable luxury hotel however it appears the hotel may be in financial distress. The beds are worn out we were told they were on order? They said the air conditioning in the two different rooms. We stayed into auto off in two hours so they have to be turned off and back on to continue to have airflow in the room cutting measure I would guess and even the simple things they’re out of coffee pods for the coffee makers, coffee cups and even at breakfast they said they only had one jam for our toast because they had ran out. Love the pool love the hot tub Beautiful facility poorly ran too bad. We’ve been to so many of these Cambria, hotels in the past and they’ve been really good, but this one is just simply not manage well or financially in trouble. The auto text message that you get it. Check in says let us know if we can make your stay more comfortable in both rooms. We ask for extra pillows and to have someone look at the AC we’ve even asked for the phone number of a manager absolutely no response. I don’t believe these auto AI generated text messages asking how they could assist you in your stay are even monitored Again, Really sad to see such a nice hotel with the parking lot have empty when the Holiday Inn express next-door is packed out. I will say this tap is absolutely wonderful cheerful happy to help within the limits of resources that exist.

Good place to stay for a weekend in Scottsdale are. Large rooms could have used more furniture like an ottoman and sitting chair in living space. Otherwise great.
- 5/5
Alyssa at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The property is clean and the rooms are spacious.
- 5/5
It’s a perfect location and easy access to the HWY, shops, restaurants. The hotel is very clean. The staff members are very nice and friendly. Our family enjoyed staying at Cambria in Scottsdale, Arizona. I recommend this hotel.

Very nice place..

No lotion. Only only one soap bar. No tooth brushes or bathroom supplies for sale. It is a nice hotel but they did miss on a few things.

Near Desert Ridge mall but traffic was painful and was near less well trafficked buildings at night

Clean and satisfactory comfort

My husband was inpatient at Mayo Hospital. This hotel was located close. It was clean and had the room amenities that were good for me. There wasn’t room cleaning unless requested. That worked for me as I was staying 6 nights. I let front deck when I needed fresh towels.
- 5/5
was very good
- 2/5
The staff was unfriendly, did not respond to requests to fix items that weren’t working. Check in took forever as our room was not ready.
- 4/5
The room was very clean when we arrived. To our surprise the room wasn’t cleaned when we returned that evening. There was no shampoo or body soap in the dispensers. The young man who checked us in was not very friendly. We had a very good experience with the young lady we spoke to the following day. How she greeted guests was very informative and and friendly she spoke to the guest about discounted, etc.

Amazing place to work a pay for a few days in fabulous Desert Ridge!
- 5/5
Very modern place. Room was neat with a powered bathroom mirror and lighting around the bed. The blackout blinds were perfect. Desert Ridge is right across the street. Highly recommend
- 3/5
Nothing about this place is worth the price. A box of a room in a box of a building right next to a busy highway. No late checkout, but plenty of noise throughout the morning. Terrible lighting in the room.
- 3/5
Easy parking and close to restaurants

I had requested a room with accessibility. I get nervous climbing in and out of a bathtub. We walk into the room and the floor was making a terrible noise. It sounded like horses asking across it. This was worse at night. My husband had just had surgery and had to get up every half hour or so. Neither of us got any sleep! Looking at the bathroom it was a wheelchair shower which is ok however the threshold was about an inch high but the showe curtain was short 4 inches so of course I’m sure there has been lots of flooding, and obviously the flooring was plastic and was very warped therefore causing the awful noise. It was also have black out curtains. We had both of them down yet there was light coming in all night long! We have stayed in Motel 6 that was better than this place. This cost us $163.00 plus taxes etc. I would say even $63.00 would be too much! Not in good shape for a 4 year old hotel. We will probably never stay at a Cambria again. I will say the bartender/waitress was terrific! Menu limited but good enough even if a little expensive ($20.00) for a hamburger.
- 5/5
Drove in from La Quinta CA for one night. Met up with a college friend fir dinner a catching up. Didn’t eat at the hotel because my friend said there were plenty of good restaurants at the Mall across the street
