Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The rooftop bar is a highlight for many guests. However, parking is a common issue, with many guests finding it difficult to find a spot or having to pay extra for it. Some guests also mention noise from the rooftop bar or thin walls.

I always enjoy staying at Cambria! Nice staff and convenient location.

Room was amazing and so was the breakfast. Staff were extra friendly and it’s the exact staycation I needed. I normally go to the one in chandler but this one is equally as nice

I went to valet to get my car parked and at first, I was becoming irritated because it said 5 minute valet parking, but I was waiting for longer than that. I had to go inside to ask the front check-in staff if I could get my car parked by the valet because I was waiting a while. We found she was inside the luggage closet. She came out and immediately parked our car after giving us our ticket and getting our information. The check-in staff was very nice and was upfront about additional charges IF I wanted to check-in early. Being that I was on a budget, I forewent it, but the front staff did tell me that they could hold our bags if we wanted to wait for 3 PM. I did that and spent time at the convention center for Phoenix Fan Fusion. The room was very clean and the hallways smelled wonderfully citrusy. Trying to connect to streaming by phone onto the TV with my iPhone didn't work. We did watch local TV at night. Now the bed was amazing! My child and I slept so well. It was clean, so comfortable, the next morning we didn't want to leave! Breakfast was perfect, as our requests were perfectly met. It was so tasty! Only things I'd say that weren't amazing was: the street noise level at night, a strange odor coming from the chaise lounge by the window (smelled like something I can't say here), the long valet wait time, the connectivity to the TV, and there was only one USB-C Lightning Port for charging and it was on the one lamp on the table.

This is NOT a family friendly hotel. Recommended only for adult couple or solo travelers. There is no pool. You can use a neighboring pool at night only and children are not allowed. Dining facilities are not intended for children either.

This hotel was gorgeous. I was a solo female traveler and I felt safe. Great location and the staff was amazingly helpful

We always stay here for our business trips to Phoenix and the rooms are always super clean and the staff is so nice! I think the only flaw with this hotel is that it doesnt have a pool. The rooftop shows a pool but when I went up there their are signs on the edge of the pool that youre not allowed in. Big sad as its so hot in Phoenix and laying in the pool , even though small, would have been so nice. We will most likely find another place to stay with a pool for our summer work trips to Phoenix. But if a pool doesnt matter then its a great place and the roof top var is so nice!

Also the sound proofing from the windows wasn’t great. Music was playing really loud from the restaurants outside and it could be heard clearly in my room and it was playing till around 1am. The decor and interior style of the hotel is great.

Loved the location, very easy to find free street parking. Felt very safe. Enjoyed the decor in the lobby. Staff was amazing!! Wanted to charge us $30 to check in 20 minutes early, (didn’t do it), not enough towels in the room, didn’t replenish the towels when we asked, our room included breakfast but we were only allowed to order one specific item (eggs and bacon), they rectified that once I complained.

I had never stayed here before. It seemed the norm that the streaming services, phone and hot water in my shower were not working. Staff was one extreme of helpful or the other, not. Would urge caution. Location is not enough.
- 3/5
The rooms while clean were very small. Besides the two queen beds, the only other area to sit was one chair by the window and a chair at the desk. There are no fans in the bathroom. There was no microwave. It had an iron, an ironing board, a hairdryer, a small fridge, and a small coffee maker. There is also no parking that is free that the hotel owns. You must park on the street which can be hard to find or even several blocks away. Valet parking cost $41 per day, which is insane. Last but not least there is a rooftop bar that acts like a club and Fridays and Saturdays. You can hear the base thumping until 2 AM.
- 2/5
The king room I booked was downgraded to 2 queens. The AC in the room is LOUD. There was no hot water in the shower. There’s no soap dish so it just sits on the counter. The rooftop bar isn’t associated with the hotel so you can’t get a glass of wine to take to your room. The restaurant downstairs is terrible. The valet- which just parks in an open lot across the street for $41 a night- is too busy chit chatting to pay attention to calls for your car.

There is no on-site parking. They had valet parking starting at $41 per day. The valets were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was not included, the breakfast restaurant at the hotel was not highly rated, so we didn't eat there. Maid service was suggested to request a day prior although you could pick things up at the front desk including more coffee pods which were good.

Awesome place in a great location! Cool chill vibes and the rooftop has great views. I saw a few complaints about the noise from the roof, but it wasn’t bad at all. The food up there was great too. This was my third time staying and I will definitely be back again!

However, my experience at the front desk was disappointing. The agent was not welcoming or friendly at all. Her attitude made me feel like I was bothering her, and she openly mentioned to a coworker that she was ready to go home, which felt unprofessional and inappropriate in front of a guest. Customer service is a key part of the guest experience, and this interaction did not reflect that. Because of this, I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. I hope management addresses this, as the rest of the stay was otherwise very good, and the hotel has great potential.

- 5/5
Loved the Cambria Phoenix downtown hotel. It was very clean, quiet, modern & very comfortable. Our room had a view of the city and we really enjoyed all the neighborhood restaurants, bars and shops nearby. We had a fantastic meal at Industry Standard and watched the women’s March Madness basketball tournament at the Pedal House Brewery rooftop bar, which also had good live music. The neighborhood is lively & thriving. We really enjoyed the fun art, shows & small hangout areas at The Pemberton, and we experienced the Diablo rooftop bar at the hotel which is great at night & has a 360 view of downtown Phoenix. The valet parking was expensive at $49.33 for the night with taxes & fees (& before tip…) but we didn’t purchase any meals at the hotel & the neighborhood is very walkable, so we justified it in that respect. We would definitely stay there again.
- 2/5
Only the location There is no AC in our room, the central AC was out of order and the portable one only worked at the beginning. The temperature is 100F on that day. The staff at the check in counter refused to switch the room to us and her attitude was bad.

Front desk was the best with requests, halls and rooms spotless and free parking in the busy city was 10/10

The hotel is excellent, the location is great. I chose it or the price but had to pay extra $100 for parking. So the savings didn't really pan out but other than that, a comfortable stay, the location is close to lots of good place to eat, hang out. I was at a conference downtown which was walking distance.

I paid for a room in Phoenix and soon learned there was no Air Condition. Expedia did nothing to resolve the issue. Getting Expedia customer service is like finding a needle in a haystack. Additionally Cambria did nothing to address the issue and to date have not responded.
- 4/5
Location was good No parking, you will pay $42 per night for parking. Not good!
- 5/5
Convenience, concierge, cleanliness! Couldn’t bring our own drinks to rooftop.
- 5/5
Great location. Lots of places walkable. Parking not ideal but we got lucky and found on street parking a few blocks away for free otherwise it’s expensive. If you’re on 6th floor the Diablo rooftop can’t get loud at night. Last thing.. it was branded as inkwell rather than Cambria
- 4/5
In addition, there was alot of early morning loudness just after 6am inside the hotel with doors slamming and it sounded like the guests in the room above us were rolling something across the floors or continuously dropping something very early. These reasons caused us to check out before 9am.
- 4/5
It was nice, in the middle of a name change transition so we felt the transition
- 5/5
This property was simply beautiful, from the kind staff, to the beautiful comfortable room and even the surrounding area. Simply peaceful and I felt more than at home. Arizona is beautiful and the Cambria Hotel makes it even more enjoyable. Will most definitely be staying here again when I visit the Phoenix area.
- 4/5
The front desk was very rude and there is no parking. The towel smell so much like beach.
- 5/5
I wouldn't mind staying there again.
- 2/5
No one explained food options when I checked in, so I dined outside of the hotel.
- 5/5
The staff was great, the hotel was clean, and in such a convenient location. Everything is walking distance. Beautiful hotel, and very accommodating. 10/10! If I find myself in Phoenix again I will most likely stay here again.
- 3/5
The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The bed was also comfortable. The rooftop restaurant and bar was just okay; the colored lights attracted an army of bugs which was pretty unsanitary when you’re trying to eat. The nacho appetizer had stale chips and were overpriced. Our first night another guest attempted to “burn sage” in their room, which set off an alarm and filled the hallway with smoke.
- 5/5
We arrived quite late at night and the staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
Theres no pool as pictured
- 4/5
Convenient location with close access to arts district bars and restaurants. Great rooftop bar with nice views of the city. The decor had a fun, modern, unique vibe. The bar traffic and partying guests made for loud nights. The lobby furniture was a bit tired.
- 2/5
There’s no pool. The site says there is one. Was the only reason we chose the hotel
- 5/5

Our room didn’t have Air conditioning. They gave us a portable AC that would shoot cold air in the front and hot air through the back. It wasn’t that hot in phoenix this weekend but I can’t imagine this same set up in the middle of the summer in phoenix!! We paid $1200 plus for two nights and couldn’t even get a room with real air conditioning. Overall hotel is nice. Staff is nice. Last note. Hotel has no pool.
- 5/5
It was clean and the staff was very polite and friendly
- 5/5
Cambria Downtown Phoenix was nice and cozy. The only downside is the parking unfortunately. We rented a car while in the area all weekend so that was a bit of a hassle. There is street parking all around the hotel, so we lucked up several times snd did valet one day.The neighborhood was safe and walkable. We will stay here when we visit Phoenix in the future!
- 5/5
The room was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated the contemporary décor and quality furnishings. Amenities like the large TV, reliable Wi-Fi, and well-lit workspace made the stay both relaxing and productive. The bathroom was spotless and featured a great shower with good water pressure. One of the highlights was the on-site dining area, which offered a solid breakfast selection and convenient options for dinner. The fitness center was also well-maintained and had everything needed for a good workout.
- 5/5
Clean property with an awesome staff. Very conveniently located downtown. Lots of nearby food options. Great rooftop. I would definitely stay here again.

On-line the hotel looked so cute and had a cute rooftop. When we arrived there was a tacky sign over the hotel name so obviously the name had changed. The rooftop that used to be called "The Rooftop" was now named El Diablo and was not serene as shown online but a very party atmosphere. We were checked for weapons as we entered the area also. Our room was was ok but the pillows stunk. This was not at all the vibe that was depicted online and we were so disgusted by it that we left early and had to go and pay for another hotel. If you are looking for somewhere cute and relaxing, as we were this is NOT it.

A/C never worked, first night there was hot water. Day 2/3 nothing, let it run for the longest time and never got hot. Went upstairs just to see the views and was told couldn’t pass withOUT ID. I was in sweats, my mom and I. We’re not in the club scene anymore, haven’t been in years and they wouldn’t let us just take a look and a quick picture. Front desk was nice, accommodating…but I think the crowd of people that were always around at night was too young for my liking.

The rooftop bar was a bummer. Actually, not owned by the hotel but separate. Probably the worst cocktail I've ever had.... to the tune of $25 in a plastic cup.

Staff, maintenance, valet service were ALL wonderful to deal with!!! And yes, we had to deal, as there were a couple of issues with our room: bathroom mirror light was down to 1 bulb (VERY different from the photos), the bathroom door was off its track and wouldn't close properly, and then there was no hot water that night... none... and that was the final straw. They were quick to accommodate, apologetic and kind, and changed our room that very night (tho the noise from the live band til 2:00am is utterly unavoidable, no matter how low a floor you choose). As for the downstairs restaurant: FABULOUS food and service. (Note, however, there is NOT a free breakfast!) The valet service? Professional and friendly... but insanely expensive. The rooftop bar/restaurant? What a disappointment. They sat us down in an odd spot, gave us a couple waters, then we never saw them again. ZERO service. We upped and left... and discovered the downstairs restaurant with VERY friendly staff and yummy fare!! Kudos to this crew! All in all, we appreciated those who were truly friendly; but the hotel is way overpriced for its inconsistencies, the parking fees, no "common area coffee," not even a drink coupon to ease the price pains. I would not return or recommend staying here.

I would not return or recommend staying here.

Well kept. If there was a negative at all, I would say that at night there were quite a few valet staff talking and laughing. Which, wouldn’t be a problem if the windows were better insulated. You can hear everything and it honestly sounds like they were right there with us. Overall, it’s a great little place & we will stay again

Very nice hotel near downtown Phoenix. Staff were very friendly & the room was clean & comfortable. The only downside is the parking situation. There is paid valet but we opted for finding free parking about a block and a half away which was an inconvenience. We also tried going to the rooftop bar where it was advertised was open until midnight but when we got up there they wouldn’t let us in after last call even though we just wanted to see the view.

The room was cute and clean. The TV was only basic cable. Smart TVs would be a nice touch, for people who need to stay in the room for an extended period. The hotel is very convenient to food and to the interstate and to shopping. The staff was about 50/50. Some were snippy and some were courteous. No laundry facilities. There's a $55 charge if you want your laundry picked up and cleaned. The food in the restaurant downstairs was mediocre but not overly expensive.

Excellent service, Great food!
- 5/5
The view from our room was fun
- 4/5
Room phones werent working and the curtain chain broke when we tried to open it and enjoy the view.. the neighbors were arguing most of the late night/early morning hours. Couldnt report anything because the phones werent working. And the valet didnt get down the right information so no one called and updated me on my vehicle. The hotel was clean and nothing else was unpleasant.. just inconvenient.

Overall my stay at Cambria wasn't bad. The communication wasn't the greatest. I recieved a text that asked if my stay was going well and wehn I responded back that my stay was very noisy and couldn't sleep, I never recieved any communication after. Quite frankly the price of $41.00 a night to park a car valet is completely rediculous. With all that said , I would still stay again.

I spent over 400 for 2 nights! We had no TV after the first Day it was to be a surprise Birthday for my wife of 28 years , also walk out of the room to a Leaking Ceiling water leak on me have pictures! They offered me a 25$ credit that’s a insult 😡

Great hotel in downtown Phoenix. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, beds were pretty comfortable and the staff was very helpful right from the start! Would definitely stay here again if we ever visit again!

Overall, the weekend stay was perfect. The hotel itself was cute and comfortable. The room was clean. The staff was friendly, attentive and responsive. No complains. I did see the fee for parking, it seemed steep. I didn't have a car. It didn't matter to me.

We where thinking it was a pool from the pictures and to get the tv to play is crazy
- 4/5
Room was great, lots of food options within walking distance. They couldn’t find our reservation at first. We waited 20 minutes for them to find it and then checked in. It’s right near the freeway so getting around was fairly easy.
- 5/5
The only thing that was confusing was the valet I had to pay 41 for a night and he can’t come outside when he sees a car in the valet area I waited for over 20 mins. There is no signage. The girls in the reception made up for his unprofessionalism. He just didn’t seem to care.

Nice hotel.
- 4/5
We were without hot water on Saturday, was told the demand was too high. Not verry convenient when you have plans.
- 5/5
Lots of walkable coffee shops, restaurants, barbers and more.
- 5/5
Had everything I needed and a very comfortable stay.
- 1/5
The aesthetic & most of the service was fine but had to ask to move rooms twice. The first room I got smelled really bad & I was moved two doors down, which was okay. The issue I had after is that they don’t warn you about the rooftop being extremely loud. I was there on business & needed to be up early but could not sleep due to the live band on the rooftop. You can hear it throughout the building. I asked the next day if I could switch to any other room where you could maybe hear less of the noise but she said that it shouldn’t be as loud because there won’t be a live band, just music from their speakers. I could still hear the music & didn’t get the rest I needed again. Had I known I would have stayed elsewhere. This really affected my performance the next day as I was exhausted. Won’t be staying here again.
- 4/5
A bit odd having a club on the roof. Food was a bit expensive otherwise amazing place to stay.
- 5/5
everything good
- 5/5
Location next to RoRo (Roosevelt Row) in downtown Phoenix is great. The arts district has been upscaled over the past 25 years and is now a destination that includes 4 or 5 brew pubs within 5 blocks, plus some excellent food venues. Raucous area (in a good way) on First Friday Artwalk with vendors, musicians, food trucks, galleries, etc. Try it and you'll like it.
- 5/5
Great time during my stay. Everything was terrific! Definitely will come back here!
- 4/5
Everything was up to par minus the rooftop restaurant. Tables & chairs wobbly, wait time also horrible. I waited 20 minutes before I got my own straw & still the waitress never came back. I just left & on the way she apologized for the wait but they’re was only 1 other table getting service.

If you're staying here.....Waymo is your best friend!

Stayed here before no complaints 👌
- 5/5
Excellent location, central to everything. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were all lovely and friendly.
- 5/5
The air conditioning worked great. The light fixtures weren't all working. Other than that a great experience.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Great location, walking distance to the gallery areas and there is a very cool art walk and drinks directly west of the hotel with lots of cool art pieces.
- 5/5
Will definitely be back. Thank you

- 5/5
everything good
- 5/5
Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great property. Location is in transition. Great area but a lot of homeless
- 5/5
Nice and clean. Loved the view on the roof and in the work out facility
- 5/5
It was very convenient, and I loved that they provide transportation to and from the airport. That made the stay even nicer. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again

Nice rooftop
- 5/5
Overall it was good for single traveler. The rooftop hotel and prostitution around it is a matter of concern and due to that Cambria Hotel is not a place to stay along with family
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
The property was at convenient location in downtown Phoenix, it would be nice to get both temperature water (hot and cold) in the room.
- 5/5
No parkink
- 4/5
Also the a/c was hardly able to keep up on a Phx summer day
- 4/5
Overall good, the room was clean and comfortable. Lots of people hanging outside the property at all times of night. Also, only street parking available and expensive valet.
- 4/5
This hotel had very friendly staff and guests. The roof tops is wonderful if your into roof tops. I do. I brought my coffee up in the morning as the doors are not locked.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel
- 5/5
Wish they had a parking garage. Other than that enjoyed the stay
- 5/5
Not familiar with area.
- 5/5
Great time
- 5/5
Cleanliness.
- 4/5
Staff was amazing and their customer service superseded any small issue that may have arose. Parking wasn’t the best and was expensive at $41/day for valet. We luckily were able to find street parking every day. The restaurant was out of a few items on the menu offerings. Room was nice and bed was comfy. The room could’ve been cleaner upon arrival. The staff consistently checked in with us and went above and beyond to correct issues.
- 5/5
Costumer service was excellent. Easy walk to great places to eat. Our room on the 4th floor was very quiet. Great, comfortable room.
- 4/5
Amazing
- 4/5
The elevator is broken. It’s scary I felt like I was in final destination. Everyone that would walk in with you on the elevator would end up just leaving and take the stairs.
- 4/5
I had a great stay here and I don't have one complaint, the staff were incredible and everybody was so happy and welcoming. The only thing I was disappointed about was the rooftop. I intended going up there to tan but it wasn't accessible throughout the day for tanning and you could only go up at 7:00 p.m. The pool was basically a water feature. Apart from the upstairs area being limited and costing to get in the remainder of my stay was phenomenal. Thank you again Cambria :)
- 5/5
The staff was very kind and helpful.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly!
- 2/5
Biggest issue I had with my stay was the shower and water. The water only had 2 settings ice cold or burning hot. I talked to hotel staff about this and they said they would send maintance up to address it. Not sure if they ever came by but it never got fixed. Second issue was that there was not show head only a handheld shower head that was low to the ground. Made showering very hard. The place smelled like weed the whole time I was there and on every floor. I also did not like the street parking situation but I knew about that ahead of time so I don't hold that against them. Last issue is why $100 deposit? All hotels take card info for damages but they are the only ones that charged me a deposit. Not a fan of this hotel
- 4/5
Very good hotel, well located and amazing staff!
- 5/5
I was comfortable all 3 nights and really enjoyed the valet service🙏
- 5/5
The parking situation wasn't excellent but I could have looked into that before booking a room, and didn't. The proximity to JoBot, Phoenx Center for the Arts, the library, and so many clubs was great!
- 5/5
My sis and I were there for baseball. It was a perfect distance to walk to Chase Stadium. The staff was so nice and helpful. I think we've found our summer baseball hotel for ever!
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Prime location! Wish there aw a pool but that’s okay!
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
An affordable, fun place to stay downtown!
- 3/5
I came to this hotel because I read good reviews; however, I was disappointed by the lack of communication and parking. The valet is separate from the hotel and charges a heavy price to park for your stay.
- 5/5
Very good location, great food, comfortable room.
- 5/5
Unique style to conventional hotels

- 5/5
The best part of my stay was the roof top party and the view from the top floor
- 5/5
Nice property. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Great location. Clean property
- 5/5
It was a beautiful experience. I will definitely be back.
- 5/5
The desk clerk was very friendly, and explained the parking situation (no parking at the hotel). She was also very accommodating and gave us a room on the 3rd floor, which was very quiet, as my wife had a medical procedure done the next morning at a nearby medical facility. Rooms are very nicely designed, clean and quiet. Great place!
- 4/5
Unique hotel with convenient access in downtown Phoenix
- 5/5
I liked the walking to multiple coffee shops and restaurants. The roof top bar was nice and i liked being offered what floor I wanted because of the roof to bar.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere.
- 5/5
Great location for what we needed, comfortable and clean, the blackout curtain was incredible as well!
- 1/5
As much as I don't wanna write bad reviews, I will have to. I requested maid service yesterday dnd asked personally the housekeeper to clean the room ,bring some towels and some coffee pods and creamers. When I came in the evening, the room was not clean no towels no coffee pods. I asked the receptionist and she said someone will bring up shortly.Nobody came. The next morning I requested at least to get a coffee pods, cups and creamers and and all I got was two coffee pods standing by the door. I called again and the receptionist started giving me attitude and hung up twice on me. So not professional and will never stay again.
- 4/5
We liked the welcoming vibes as you check-in. The staff were energetic and helpful. The hotel and rooms smell good and clean.
- 5/5
Great option very nice
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Beautiful and charming place with breathtaking views! Delicious breakfast too! Loved it 😍
- 1/5
I appreciate the check out time being at 12PM but I don’t like staying in a room that didn’t feel very clean (towels smelling really weird and bare minimum cleaning) also a lot of damage and lack of maintenance and care from the hotel. I have mixed feelings on this stay but bottom line is, I would have spent more money at another close hotel. Photos definitely do not match what you would get
- 4/5
Hotel is nice and has convenient things like onsight restaurant, gym and valet parking but it does not have a swimming pool or parking garage. Room was nice and price was one of the cheapest and location was close to chase field and bars and restaurants. Lyft to Chase field $3 to $6 dollars. Worth the stay if your not looking to go swimming.
- 5/5
It was amazing! Will definitely be coming back
- 5/5
Friendly staff, the room was clean . Very comfortable stay .

Best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. The hotel is very cute with a fun with an artsy vibe.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and the many restaurants, breweries, coffee places within blocks of the hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only reason we did not give it five stars was the bathroom plumbing was worn - the shower head had hard water deposits and limited flow. Otherwise, a great stay.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!
- 5/5
The rooftop bar was awesome
- 1/5
There’s not actual self parking here. It’s insane.
- 5/5
Even after the fridge was unplugged and my food went bad I was compensated $20. The front desk staff very nice housekeeping a little rude but all in all I love the hotel
- 2/5
Everything was wonderful except 10pm-2:30am when then rooftop bar was hopping. Cars and motorcycles reving
- 5/5
Great staff. Nice hotel room
- 5/5
Great staff, great breakfast downstairs, rooftop bar had a great view of downtown. Bed was comfortable and overall a great hotel.
- 5/5
Very smooth check in, convenient location. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
They were quick with checking in and making sure all my needs were met. Great friendly staff.

Great experience with the property and an amazing rooftop bar as a bonus!
