The room was subpar and appeared poorly maintained. The bed cover had noticeable white stains as well as a burn mark, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness and overall upkeep. The property itself looked run-down and in need of significant updates and maintenance. The hotel attendant was pleasant and professional during check-in, so I have no complaints about their demeanor or customer service. However, one major issue was that no one informed me that the hotel's checkout time follows Georgia Eastern Time rather than Alabama Central Time. Given that the hotel is located in Alabama, this is important information that should be clearly communicated to guests at check-in. Failing to disclose this caused unnecessary confusion and inconvenience. While the staff was courteous, the condition of the property and the lack of communication regarding checkout expectations made for a frustrating stay. I would not choose to stay here again without significant improvements.

The person that checked us in for both rooms was nice, but could have been a little more professional. The website says “extra towels at request” and “housekeeping daily”. That tells me housekeeping would come in each morning. They didn’t. The back half of the hotel was rundown and there were broke down cars outside. The microwave in one of our rooms BARELY worked. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was stronger than the water pressure coming from the shower. I low-key felt like I needed to have my Glock close.

COCKROACHES! Big ones! Not only that: there was water leaking out of the base of the toilet, the tv didn't work, the mattress was saggy, they didn't clean my room during the day, etc. On a positive note, the ac worked pretty well.

Booked a King but 3 were under construction and the other 2 were already full. The were empathetic and tried to give us the best 2Q they had. Nice older motel. Nice folks. Would stay again.

The stairs were very dirty and the carpets needed cleaning no real supplies in the bathroom. If I had of looked at the room first, I wouldn't have stayed.

1st floor sliding windows wouldn’t lock in the bedroom so we had to move rooms and the second room had disgusting bed sheets with several stains. Required a cash deposit of $50 after signing a document saying a $100 deposit would already be held on the card. Not very comfortable front desk assistance. Sketchy parking lot/human interaction. Would not stay again. Pictures online do more than justice !!

Its good if you are just passing through, but if your staying for a couple days id recommend somewhere else. There is another hotel directly behind this one and looks like its being used for an apartment complex rather than a hotel. The A/C units barely worked. The wall plug behind the bed looked like it had caught fire at one point. The room was clean but house keeping only checks rooms that are already empty or recently vacated. Broken down vehicles in the parking lot. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The room was spacious.

There was a used soap in the tub but no unused soap for me to use. No trash can in the room. Even though I asked for late checkout, one of the staff was banging on the door to checkout. It was beyond rude and unprofessional. I’ll never stay at this establishment ever again

Bathroom needed a major renovation. Loose tile base, rusted door hinges, damaged ceiling. Tile in bathtub looked recently updated. Bedroom area was fine. Had a hard time sleeping due to all the noise I could hear from the lobby area, hallways and outdoors.

Room had housekeepers notepad left in it, no remote for TV in room, sink clogged with old toothpaste caps, sink leaked at faucet onto counter top, paint missing in multiple spots, blue ink stains on sheets I could go on and on but I won't. Took a chance on mixed reviews for this hotel, but won't be back. My advise, spend $20 more bucks and go ANYWHERE else.

The room could be cleaner. We had to go get towels and wash clothes. They had hair all over them. It was supposed to be a non smoking room but it smelled of smoke and there was a butt in the sink drain. I had to go buy air freshener. The staff was friendly but we're all on personal call at every visit to the desk.

The pool was alright. The staff, though overwhelmed, incapable, & untrained were at least kind. Check in took 30min and the inexperienced front desk worker 4 tries to check us in. We were the only people in line. Our room had 2 TVs yet only one broken remote with NO BATTERIES. Finding batteries took them about 45min! They had no tissues, napkins, or plates or food in the 'breakfast' area. The bedding had burns & stains.

The staff was kind and tried to make things smoother. We had to switch rooms due to bugs and broken outlets, only to find the new room hot, musty, and with a broken AC filter. My sister-in-law stepped on broken glass, and we found more sharp debris on the floor. The pool was unusable, falsely advertised amenities were missing, and overall cleanliness and safety were unacceptable.

The location was very close to family we were visiting. The staff did try to be helpful. First room had a non working toilet. The second room had cockroaches coming out of the room fridge. The third room had wads of toilet paper under the bed. I asked for a refund and was told by the reception desk that she would facilitate that happening and to expect a phone call. Even verified my phone number. No call came and neither did a refund.

I paid and reserved a room and they didn’t even have reserved. The coffee machine didn’t work the snacks from the vending machine were so old and tasted awful. We will not be reserving or stay at this hotel in the future.

I liked this property so much that I returned to stay again later while on business. I have never been to a hotel this good and especially at the good value price this hotel offers. I found the staff to be professional and attentive. I will always return to this hotel while in the Columbus area. I highly recommend.

This is a no frills place. There were hot showers and a place to sleep. No extra towels or blankets. The pool in the description was not open but that did phase us. It was a great value for a place to sleep which was reflective of the price.

I do not recommend staying here. We didn’t even stay it was so nasty. Sheets were stained. Mold in the shower. Nothing like the pictures. And after complaining and not staying they would not refund our money.

I went to check in on friday after i got checked in i immediately checked out. The hotel smelt of Marijuana horribly and had trash all on the floors. They had squatters all over the premises that were drunk and doing drugs. We went up there with pur 6 month old granddaughter. Again we left immediately from feeling unsafe and disgusted. We have been trying to get our money back but they have not reaponded yet. When we spoke to the clerk he saidhe would tell his manager but haventheard anything.

I didnt like the fact that the hairdryer in my room didnt work nor did the remote to my tv

It's good for a night's sleep, but the varying rates are confusing.

Property is close to south commons sports complex. Its quiet. Beds are comfortable. We do not like the fact that everytime we are there the pool is being worked on

First of I couldn’t check cause employee was on break. Second was hardly anything worked in the room. Came back after shooting in the tournament and the bottom floor smelled like vomit. Went to check and the clerk was asleep

Overall our stay was amazing. We were very comfortable. The room was a nice size. It was clean. The staff was nice. The pool wasn’t working at the time of our stay and some of the fitness equipment was not working. Also when we requested extra towels we never got them. But it wasn’t a big deal because we still managed. If I had to I would stay again. Even my kids enjoyed it. Thank you to the staff for being welcoming and nice the whole time we stayed here.

My stay was almost descent . The service was pleasing and welcoming however the room was below average. I'm not going to go into detail but they need some immediate attention.

We stay at this hotel everytime we come to columbus for a softball tournament. ThIs time we were put i to a room that apparently had some construction done in the bathreoom. There was dry wall dust every where no soap, no shampoo or conditioner. A wad of hair that was apparently pulled out of the drain, left in the tub. I took pictures of everything. Other than that the room was nice.

That being said, the lady at the front desk was very nice and moved us to another room that was only half as bad but still disgusting. Loud, drug addict drama all night long outside.. One perk, lots of DoorDash options available.

We did not even end up staying because we found bedbugs in the beds, so we had to search at 3am for a new hotel.

The only issue i had was the last day before i checked out housekeeping didnt even touch my room i had no towels no toilet paper my trash was full but other rhan thay everything waw great

Once they get that squared away it will be cool. I'd stay there again. It's an old bldg so the plumbing is not always up-to-par. It was clean and there were no bad smells. I can live with that. I was comfortable.

Our room was disgusting! Roaches. No smoke alarm. Bathroom was horrible. No Kleenex. Worse place I have ever stayed. Should have refused to stay, but they charged my credit card when we checked in. Did not know if they would have given our money back. Never heard of that.

It was good for the price. I was happy they had HBO and a coffee maker in the room.

When we drove up to the hotel the website pictures only showed the hotel good side. Entering from other side it looked like a roach motel. A Window was boarded up with wood. Mattresses stacked up in the window. False advertisement about breakfast. No elevator, but the room where cute and clean as shown on the website. All of the staff were friendly and great.

We arrived at at 8 pm and the staff had to check two rooms before to find a “clean and ready” room. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. Room floor was sticky, curtains were stained, remote had grease on it, toilet paper on roll was dirty. The positive was the manager was polite and kindly refunded me.

We arrived 45 minutes early, I didn't except to be able to check in but it was worth a try. Joanie said rooms wouldn't be ready til 3 or a little after so we went to eat. We got back a few minutes after 3. Our room wasn't ready. They said it would be a few minutes but we didn't get in our room til 3:40. Joanie went above and beyond to help housekeeping get rooms ready. They must really be short staffed. Joanie was great. This is a dated hotel but clean. I was most disappointed because there was NO BREAKFAST. It was advertised as having breakfast included but was told because of covid it was not available. That's nonsense. We've stayed in several hotels since covid and breakfast was served! That's one of the reasons we booked there. But like i said earlier, you get what you pay for!

Very Outdated Bad Smell Not Clean No Trash Can Smoke Alarm had no battery in it However when checking in we heard the big spill about no smoking allowed in which we don’t smoke anyway so the talk didn’t matter But we did feel unsafe with no working smoke detector People running around all night Smell of drugs in the hallway

Dump! Especially for the price I paid. Room was musty, tv plugged into the nearby lamp, no blackout curtains, Seedy people. And pay $5 to use a pool towel. Bathroom toilet barely flushed, toiletries were substandard. Thin bars of soap cracked during 1st use. Not worth it.

We should have looked around a bit more. When’s we returned after a long day staffing a FAIRTAX table at the Georgia GOP convention and dinner, we brushed our teeth and went to bed. The next morning, I woke up early, planning to take a shower. Oops! No shower curtain. I decided to wash my face and skip the shower. No trashcan in the bathroom. No plastic bag for dirty clothes. No lightbulbs in one of the bedside lamps. When my husband woke up and wanted to take a shower, I called the front desk, and the desk clerk brought a shower curtain within a few minutes and hung it up. My husband showered and tried to use the hairdryer. The plug was cracked and we saw green corrosion inside it. The desk clerk brought a replacement, but she would have needed a screwdriver to remover the dead dryer and mount the replacement. There is no elevator, and the stairs leading to the second floor needed vacuuming. We won’t stay here again.

The woman at the front desk was great and super nice. The first room was not so great. No linens or toiletries and the tv didn’t work. She did put us in another room that was okay other than the tv still not working. It was fine for the amount of time we spent there but definitely wouldn’t recommend more than one night.

The room seemed clean. As did the sheets. For the price point, it was worth the money. I had no issues checking in and the staff seemed friendly. I have no complaints. But of course, I’m not the type to look for issues to complain about.

The service in and around the hotel just suck. Seems the employees care more about their own business than the guest. And they advertise a pool that has been under construction from what the clerk told me " a few times". Because of shotty jobs done to it.
