The room besides bed and tv bare no were to put luggage but on floor, Not joking. Not like the pictures leed you to believe. Stairs to second floor another suprise.(older folks)

Probably not the best for an extended stay probably. The room was small. Just a bed, night stand, tv, and bathroom. No dressers. None of that was an issue for me. I actually like how bare bones the room was. Staff was very nice. Got checked in ok. Price was decent. The room served it's purpose for what I needed. It has a very cozy lounge area. I will probably be staying here every time I visit Petersburg.

This was a fabulous hotel. The rooms were great the staff were amazing. The breakfast was good, cereal, muffins, coffee, juice etc…. We will stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay and loved that downtown Petersburg was just four blocks away. Loved our visit!

We were a day late because of a family emergency & they didn’t charge us. Really appreciated that. Also tv didn’t work & they immediately moved us to a different & larger room. Lodge is so cool!

Room was clean, had extra cot in room. This was extremely uncomfortable, think time to update cot mattresses. Room was on first floor and first time noise from other travelers were an issue. Still would recommend hotel maybe an off night

Breakfast was ok. Coffee was good. The place was decent; The only concern is the security from the basement accommodation perspective. There was no lock at night, and we were thinking anybody off the street could just enter the rooms in the basement.

We have room 101 which was a deluxe room that had a fireplace, big TV and 2 queen beds. It was fabulous. The pizza is really good at their restaurant, the staff was super friendly.

Convenient

I reserved a room with a river view. The only window looks into the hall. Of the under level.The room was stuffy it only has controllable heat. The air is controlled upstairs.I recommend bringing a fan. This was my second time at this lodge. First time was much better. Thats why i came back.Thst and the pizza is amazing.

Had a problem with the tv, and staff was quick to fix it. Room was comfortable and had a good view of the river.

Rooms were a little dated and smaller than expected, but were clean, everything worked and bed was comfortable.

Always enjoy my stay here. It is a great small getaway place and everyone is so nice. Stayed in a smaller room the first time and for the price it was worth it, but when I stayed in the bigger room with the hot tub I loved the room. But there was some stains on the floor & one of the chairs that were a little concerning. The jets in the tub also seemed to have not been cleaned properly so I did not use. All in all I’d go with the smaller room then to pay as much as I did for the bigger one. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very homey and welcoming. Definitely will be back.

We were in town for a Field Trial. Property was clean and friendly staff. Thought we might have noise issues with the nearby train tracks, but didn’t hear a thing. Would stay here again.

Everything about the Riverbank Lodge was exceptional. Check-in was great; we were able to change our room (from 1 king to 2 queens) without a hassle. The room was gorgeous and spacious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The light dinner in the lounge was delicious. Excellent experience.

We had a very small but comfortable room. It included a breakfast with some good choices. What stood out to us was the staff. They are exceptionally thoughtful and helpful. We stayed as part of a family event for Thanksgiving and the staff did all they could to make everyone's stay comfortable and meaningful. We also appreciated the group facilities in the basement for our family reunion at Thanksgiving.

Well informed staff, very polite and helpful. Friendly too. Always a pleasure staying here.

My room was small, with only a queen bed, nightstand and a chair. TV was mounted on wall. There was no in-room coffee maker, closet/wardrobe, microwave, mini-fridge, desk or table. Despite being small the room decor was cute, bed comfortable and everything was clean.

The room was small and chilly, but the front desk staff was super helpful and accommodating. It is nice for an overnight stay!

Nice place interesting building would stay there again

Though we live just about a hour from the wedding we attended, we wanted somewhere to stay for the night. It is a quaint little lodge that is quiet. We loved that they offered food til 1:00 a.m. after we'd gotten in from the reception late. Just FYI the pizzas are huge and delicious! Breakfast had a good selection of grab and go items as well as others. Suited us just fine. The staff was very kind. Our room was one of the economy smaller ones facing the river, in a distance, where we saw many turkies on the waters edge. It was beside the train tracks but when a train passed by you could hardly tell. No whistle blowing and it was quite cool to see so many coal train cars. Again, a small room with a TV, bathroom and chair, but suited our needs of a cozy place to crash for the night. Comfy beds and affordable. We would stay here again.

Nice property, good location. Wish it had an elevator for guests staying on the second floor.

Only feedback....holy the bed was not comfortable. That said, I have nerve damage, so I did not sleep. Hubby had no problem.

Perfect for anyone looking for a lodging experience, but still likes the little conveniences of traditional hotels. Will be coming back to the Lodge next time I’m in Springfield. Thank you!

Everything was perfect but the room was so tiny but it worked out well…

We stayed 2 nights in a double Queen. The room was very spacious and the price was really good. We got a rollaway bed as well. The beds were rather uncomfortable and I ended up sleeping on the rollaway the second night and let the kids have the beds. That was my only issue with our stay. Staff were very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast wasn’t bad at all either. I’d stay again but may ask for a rollaway again for myself.

I had a great time. The room was amazing. The view was great. The people that worked there, it was the best part about it.All they make you feel like you're at home. They have a full bar and restaurant. They do have a gaming room if that is your thing. Close to a Dollar General, so if you forgot anything right there. If you would like to eat out, there are restaurants, close and a corner.Cafe that has an amazing breakfast

It’s a charming place to stay except that I assumed rooms would have a refrigerator which most hotels have standard these days. When I checked in the economy room didn’t have a fridge so I had to pay an additional $40 to have a room with a refrigerator because I had medication with me that required it be kept cold. I thought $40 was kind of a lot just you w a fridge

Friendly staff and easy check in. The room we chose was just a basic room but it was clean and comfortable. We ate at dinner in the lounge the night we arrived. Food was good and the wait staff was friendly. We were surprised they also served a basic breakfast the next morning. Our only small inconvenience was temperature in the room, it was a little warm even after adjusting the temperature to the lowest setting.

This was a great property with a comfortable bed and our room had a beautiful view of the river. Quiet, good TV, excellent water pressure in shower, everything clean. It could use a few extra amenities such as a set of drawers or a clothes closet with hangers to put clothes in, or a suitcase bench. The bar, which stays open until 1 am is great addition especially when everything else around the lodge is closed, and has delicious pizza and great and friendly bartenders.

The air conditioning was controlled by the staff downstairs and it was miserably hot in our room.

Just a note not a complaint, the walls are paper thin, so you can hear whats going on next door like you are in the room. So nice place to sleep, not a romantic get away. Lol.

Very close to Lincoln's New Salem. Situated along the banks of a lovely river in a quaint historic town. Very friendly and accommodating staff!

We just needed a quiet place to stay after an out of town funeral. We needed a wheelchair accessible room and we weren’t disappointed in the accommodations! Nice extras, great staff and a nice view of the river and woods.

We are repeat visitors and really enjoy the property and staff. Their handmade pizza is a must try!

Very cute “lodge” theme decor. Super friendly staff. Loved the small bar area with great pub food and local diners. Rm 106 was adequate in size but only we carried just one small bag. No closet or drawers for storage. Bathroom big enough for one person. No shelf space. Nice river view from room.

Annual bowhunt trip with son and spent a wèek here. Rooms were clean, service excellent, and had an enjoyable stay.We will be back.

Quaint lodge feeling. Clean and welcoming. We even saw an eagle from our room window. Not your typical motel room, but rustic with all you need.

I thought it was a very old time lodge feeling which is refreshing compared to other places,staff was very helpful as well. My only complaint was not being able to adjust the thermostat to cool the room a bit more. It was cool but I tend to sleep hot and prefer it colder than it was. It's a fairly large room so perhaps a table fan or two might be helpful if needed for circulation..otherwise all was very nice.

A little miss leading on the description. It is an old bank that has been converted into a hotel. Some of the rooms do not have windows to the outside and it sits right next to a railroad track. The owners are extremely nice and helpful.

Friendly staff and a unique layout. It made for a memorable experience. Being able to get my daughter a stuffed badger and beaver helped give her positive memories of our first solo trip together. The pizza was also very good, even though I over ordered and didn't have a fridge to store it in, so that was a bummer.

Love the river view that we had from our room. Wonderfully calming. And very relaxed atmosphere in the facility. Good place to get away and relax.

The lodge is a hidden gem!!! The lodge is old and the room and bathroom are small. However, the lodge itself is very clean and welcoming. The staff were very friendly.

My daughter and i just loved the atmosphere and the people. Very friendly and welcoming. We had a long drive and so we were very grateful about that.

Service and hospitality were very good, food was exceptional and surpassed expectations! Great pizza as well. Only issue we encountered, had nothing to do with the lodge, was everything is closed on Monday & Tuesdays pretty much town wide. Great experience over all.

Friendly and helpful

The lodge was clean and the staff was great. The hotel is very dated and tired. Carpet in the room was old as was the bedding. We could hear the people in the room next door talking. Our room was in the basement so no outside windows. Only a window into the inside hallway that was lit all night.

It was great! We’ve stayed there before and it’s always been wonderful.

We love staying at the cozy Riverbank Lodge! Such a great atmosphere. Staff is super friendly, rooms are comfy and clean, bar is friendly and well stocked, and it’s nice and quiet.

The room are on central air system and they keep it too hot.

I paid for a room with a river view. I did not get a room with a river view, the shower had dead flies in it and when you turn on the water it was brown. When I called the front desk I was told to just let the water run until it was clear. There was hair all over the bed as well. So I paid for 120 river view room with absolutely no view and a dirty room. I will never stay in this hotel again. I really wanted to give a good review but the pictures that are on the site are misleading. The main entrance is beautiful but that is about it.

Clean, safe place to rest. Comfy beds, hot shower. Staff went above and beyond for both of my stays. Highly recommend. Check out "The Vault" room

The property is so equity. It’s exactly what the pictures showed and it was such a good change in the every day hotel change.

My mother and I shared a King Suite as all of the Queen rooms were booked, the king sized bed had plenty of space for both of us and was super comfortable, not too soft, not too firm. Our room had an amazing river view, we enjoyed watching the wild life that visited the water, it felt like staying in a cabin in the woods. We were grateful to have a refrigerator to store our leftover pizza from the kitchen, it was super good and would highly recommend it. We were surprised how many people came to eat at the Lodge but were not actually staying there. Many local people came and went, greeting each other, saying hello and see ya later, love ya, etc. The staff of all ages were very hospitable and eager to help anyone in need. The place has an overall cozy feeling, and as if you are part of the family.
