Reviews
The hotel reviews are mixed, with some guests expressing satisfaction with the cleanliness, comfort, and friendly staff, while others express disappointment with the state of disrepair, lack of amenities, and poor customer service. The pool, breakfast, and elevator are common points of contention.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Frequent maintenance issues, particularly with the elevator and pool
- Breakfast quality and variety is inconsistent
- 3/5
Staff very nice. Room clean. Breakfast adequate. Parking available. Hotel was every old and surrounded by cheap motels. Area looks run down. Would not stay there again.
- 4/5
Had a good stay only problem was we got locked out of our room due to the battery in the key card not working but staff was very friendly and helped get us back in our room quickly.

Amenities were nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was medicore. Nothing special but adequate. My only tiny complain is we gathered in the lobby with some friends and it was so hot. They wouldn't turn the AC on and it was 80 plus outside so quite warm and no where to sit outside so it made it quite uncomfortable to socialize.

The booking was very easy! I didn't like that once booked it didn't state that they wouldn't honor the booking due to the fact that they WILL NOT rent to "locals"! So they canceled the reservation and were COMPLETELY NASTY about EVERYTHING!

Very good

Super close to our event and to local conveniences like gas and food. The area of hotels there is extremely dirty, there's an old fridge in the yard. The room smelled of mold really bad, I almost thought I wouldn't be able to stay because i have mold allergies. The beds were NOT queens, they were super springy and there was a blood stain on a sheet. The pool is run down, there's a bullet hole in the window of the pool and we pulled out clumps of hair.

Staff is very competent and helpful in short time.
- 4/5
It was nice, my kid's enjoyed the pool.
- 5/5
It was all good when I got there the person at the desk very helpful. I mean there is probably one thing. I probably would have more movies on the TV. That’s only thing I would change about it and everything else was good.

There were a number of safety concerns that made this hotel unworkable for us. The side door (where we were told to park as it was closest to our room) had an electronic key lock for security, but it was propped open and didn't close properly when I tried to secure it. The parking lot had a broken off concrete stub where the streetlight used to be, so there was no light for coming and going from the car to the hotel. (This was of particular concern, since we were in town for a family member's surgery, and I would be returning to the hotel alone that night while she stayed at the hospital.) Also, although I can't definitively blame the hotel for this, the place seemed totally deserted. Two cars and a worker's truck were the only vehicles in the large parking lot. There were several problematic maintenance issues. The exterior entrance had cups and fast food containers littered around and the garbage bin was overflowing. There was dirt (or maybe dark chips) out of the toilet seat in the room they assigned us. There was a discarded washing machine on its side, cracks in the cement, and overgrown weeds throughout the parking lot, which contained only two cars aside from ours. Nope. We felt neither safe nor comfortable and left.
- 4/5
Breakfast was the same every day, couldn’t get Local stations on the TV, limited cable, room was clean, staff was very nice
- 3/5
Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Much of the property is a little run down, including the furniture in our room. We appreciated breakfast, which was neither special nor poor - pretty standard.
- 5/5
Very nice and friendly staff

Staff very courteous and polite. Room was nice and clean, the air conditioner may need service but it was cool enough by opening window in room.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, reasonably priced, good location

Very clean hotel. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was good.

Breakfast
- 5/5
The staff was very accommodating to keeping our group together by offering a joining rooms as well as a first floor option. Stated here overnight before a very early flight - only about 15 minutes from Peoria airport. Very comfortable beds and great size room for the price. Would stay again if in the area.
- 3/5
The hot breakfast was decent though there was no bacon or sausage. The immediate area is sad and depressing with numerous shuttered businesses.
- 2/5
Nothing was a deal breaker, but there were just too many things wrong. Ice machine on 2nd floor did not work, elevator had the smokey motor scent, TV service was constantly offline displaying "scramble channels or weak signal", hallway carpet smelled, room had the musky odor until I opened the window and turn on the fan for an hour, and mattress seemed old and way too soft. Like the room layout and clean washroom.
- 0.5/5
The hotel had an infestation of Ants ?. On the carpet and in the bed. Did not stay there had to find another hotel very disappointed and dissatisfied.
- 0.5/5
Nothing The hotel had an infestation of Ants
- 5/5
breakfast was good, rooms were clean, staff was great
- 5/5
Had to leave before breakfast.
- 3/5
The room we stayed in had stains on the rug and the drapes. The faux leather furniture was breaking. There were ants in the bathroom. The bed was shockingly comfortable but for the price, it was unacceptable upkeep.
- 1/5
I booked another room at a different hotel and never looked back. Didn't stay here, and wasn't offered a refund (in fairness it was a non-refundable booking, but under the circumstances I think a refund would have been fair).
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
I have not stayed in a hotel that only cleans the rooms every three days if you request it in advance. 4 night stay no housekeeping in my room.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 3/5
Room was clean the staff nice the property is dated and needs a lot of cleaning up their phone system didn't even work
- 4.5/5
Clean hotel. Room was very nice, larger than expected. Great value, great location. Breakfast was good. Highly recommend this hotel. We will be staying again when we come back to town. Water in lobby with lemons in it looked very old

- 5/5
No complaints
- 5/5
The hotel was conveniently located with a good Mexican restaurant, Mariachis, nearby.
- 2/5
Our stay was very disappointing. Hotel had a rating of an 8 but the whole 3 days we stayed there was no internet, no working elevator, on cleaning service,(had to take out our own trash), no linen exchange,(asked on day 2 for clean towels and were told multiply times the wash was not done and then several hours later told if we bring out towels to them they would wash. Also ants in the room and dresser taped shut so they would not fly open. Breakfast was good.
- 3/5
Overall the stay was ok. The hotel was older but in pretty good shape. Our only complaint about the hotel was that they didn’t have enough towels. They knew they were low and didn’t have enough towels do every person in our room. They had pool towels dirty, but didn’t seem interested in cleaning them. The staff we talked to didn’t seem real interested in helping. They jacked the price up for what was happening in town and failed to deliver on the basics.
- 4/5
Good location near I-74. Clean. Road and driveway to hotel is in disrepair and next door Perkins is closed.
- 5/5
Nice on inside but other buildings next to property very poor condition.
- 2/5
Stains all over the pull out couch mattress. Pool area was dirty. Drains in the bathroom sink were full of leftover veggies from the previous stay. The price was good for 3 nights but that’s about it. I was displeased with how little communication we had that was affective. I’m hoping others had a pleasant stay, but ours over all was not great.
- 4/5
It was a good stay, the only problem this time was no wifi or Internet.. we stay here quite often , this is the first time we have had this problem. Otherwise it's always a great stay.
- 2/5
The location and the outside area felt sketchy. Still thought we would give it a chance. The lobby looked nice. The room looked nice, however, there were ants in the bathroom and the blankets were stained. We decided right away that we just werent going to stay there. I went and checked out after only being there for 15 mins. When i told the guy at the front desk that we weren't going to stay and why, he didn't say anything, just checked us out on the computer and told me have a nice day.
- 3/5
Romm was fine, beds were hard
- 5/5
Staff is great Brittany was so helpful
- 5/5
Clean. Comfortable bed
- 5/5
It's very comfortable and quiet. The king room 202 is big and clean with a cozy mattress. I liked this hotel. The included breakfast was very convenient. Price was on point during my stay. I'd like to see a marking with the hotel name on the main road identifying where to turn to get to it easier, would be my only suggestion.
- 4/5
They have a policy that states they do not rent to locals. They made an exception for me, but I prefer Comfort Inns and Suites when I travel or have renovations done on my home. With that policy, I would not be able to use our local Comfort Inn when the next renovation on my home is done.
- 5/5
Very clean! Comfortable beds. Quiet room/floor. Breakfast was pretty standard. Great stay overall.
- 5/5
Clean friendly staff had a great time the room was amazing
- 4/5
Great remodel! Still had some punch out work to do. But when it is totally finished, it will definitely be a five.
- 5/5
my room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and efficent great customer service. Breakfast was fresh and hot. convenient safe well lighted parking area.
- 5/5

Room was clean, easy check-in, nice breakfast.
- 5/5
Everything was good.
- 4/5
The room was clean. The staff was nice. The breakfast was good.
- 3/5
The hotel was dated. The room was not as clean as would be desired. Functionally, the room was fine and the breakfast was very good.
- 4/5
All the usual breads and carbs. Bed was too bouncy.. bathroom could have been cleaner...
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
The property was spacious and clean. The room was big with a large, comfy king size bed. Great bathroom facility with hot, powerful shower. Breakfast had good options with friendly service.
- 2/5
Unsafe area, not clean
- 5/5
Plenty of options
- 3/5
Not sure why this hotel is rated as good by Expedia. The area surrounding the hotel is rough. Went to check in and the lady operating the front desk said she could deny my reservation because of my drivers license. In my state, individuals under the age of 21 are issued a vertical card that clearly states what year I turn 21. The lady said she could deny my reservation, even though I am clearly over 21 because my license is vertical, not horizontal, and said this was hotel policy. I’ve reread the terms I agreed two when I booked the room and that was not mentioned at all. In addition, the hallways are dark and dingy.
- 4/5
The hotel is very nice and newly renovated. The bed is comfy and the floors are clean. The lobby is real nice. The area seems a bit sketchy. And there’s a dumped fridge in the parking lot. We dead bolted the door and parked under a light.
- 4/5
The shower water was very touchy. One second it was scalding, the next second it was freezing. The bed had a dip in it.
- 2/5
Refigator aprently turned [fb[r broken hvac also didn't seen to cool. Outlets by bed didnt work had t unplug clock to find working outlet .
- 5/5
Very comfortable
- 2/5
Both property and area is really tired - felt sketchy
- 4/5
The parking area was safe, did not have any issues
- 5/5
Coffee was good, as was the breakfast offered. I enjoyed the lemon water available in the lobby. Rooms were nice and clean.
- 5/5
My 5:30 am checkout was made much more pleasant because the staff member set out breakfast early. Big thanks!
- 4/5
Was flying out early, so stayed closer to the airport allowing for more sleep. Very comfortable bed!! Very friendly staff and everything was clean, as well as quiet.
- 1/5
Terrible experience, bullet holes, leaking air conditioners, and then them saying they would reimburse us, but then refusing later.
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 2/5
When using the elevator to get to our room, the elevator closed on my body and caused discomfort as there was no sensor preventing it which was very unsafe, upon entering our room there was no mattress protector or fitted sheet on our king bed and exposed bare yellowed mattress, i then tracked down house keeping and got a sheet and made my own bed, our fridge was leaking, bathroom faucet handle was broken and thats just to name a few on top of the strong odor of marijuana in the halls. The front desk lady was nice and friendly however our stay was not something i would want to experience again.
- 5/5
Check in was great. Shawn (sp?) was excellent and let us keep our bikes behind the counter overnight.
- 4/5
Good value. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. It’s showing a little wear and is not in a highly prosperous area. There is an abandoned building and restaurant that is permanently closed next door. Worked fine for our one night passing through. The Mexican restaurant nearby is great.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. The place was clean and the beds were very comfortable.
- 5/5
The Comfort Suites I-74 in Peoria, IL was conveniently located with most restaurants, shopping, churches, etc. within a ten-minute drive. Despite the room being near the indoor swimming pool, there was no noise or "odor" emanating. Though some of the room furnishings were worn and a bit "dated", the room and common areas were clean. Breakfast had a good variety and was well stocked. Staff were congenial. All in all, it was a comfortable stay.
- 2/5
The room smelled terrible. Like a mix of mold, cigarette smoke, and marijuana. There were chip crumbs on the sofa bed mattress, stains on the carpet and bed spreads, and overall just dingy furniture. The worst of all, was one of the blankets looked liked it had dried semen smeared on it.
- 5/5
Everything was good except the elevator was out of service. So taking the stairs was not a good thing.
- 1/5
Crack neighborhood, no elevator the front door is not able to open after 10:00pm go down to the BACK door in the dark to get in. Pool murky green brown, breakfast what a joke. Had to change room right of the bat- mystery stains by the head of the bed on the carpet.
- 4/5
My only complaint is that the pillows were hard as rocks and the tv didn't work properly.
- 3/5
.
- 1/5
Is better than most of the others in walking distance. And there is ev charging next door at the dealer ship
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
It was great!
- 1/5
We booked two rooms and both had different types of bugs in them. The staff would not refund any money for this. It wasn’t just one big either. Both rooms had multiple.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Very disappointed in the stay unfortunately. Upon entering hotel the elevator was broke. We were placed on 1st floor for that reason. Thank you for that. When entering our room, I found a mint behind the door unopened but still visible to clean up. Later my daughter found a dirty cup between beds by nightstand. The pull out sofa was digusting and possible dead bugs on it but didnt have any extra linen for the bed anyway. The foot rest in front of sofa has definitely been around a very long time ! Very worn. The pool was nice and kids had fun. Breakfast was decent as well.
- 5/5
Motel was very close to the airport and provided free breakfast which worked out for us since we had an early flight.
- 5/5
Spacious and comfortable! Great staff!
- 4/5
.
- 3/5
The air conditioning had issues and staff switched the room with ease.
- 4/5
Came in for a concert
- 5/5
Liked the size of the room and cleanliness . Didn’t like television. It didn’t work correctly.
- 4/5
Good enough, but some of the furniture was ragged
- 4/5
Nice clean rooms.
- 2/5
Everything really needs to be updated. Mine and even other guests had their keys stop working several times. The tv channels kept going out and then stopped working altogether. Pretty dirty, hair everywhere, sticky floors, greasy fingerprints all over the bed headboard that were so visible. Would not stay again. Only positive thing was the staff were all lovely.
- 5/5
Fridge did not work
- 5/5
Very clean and staff was very nice
- 1/5
Rooms were dirty, mattresses stained, dinning area was dirty, tables, floors, countertops, trash cans over flowing place wasn’t kept up with. Limited space for parking with big bulky items taking up parking spots. We also need towels and staff wasn’t willing to get us any all they told me was that they were at full capacity and they couldn’t give me any… overall bad experience.
- 4/5
The property advertised EV charging, but all that is available is an outlet to plug in. The main resource that I needed in a hotel was EV charging. Other than that huge MISS, the hotel was great. Clean rooms and linens, comfortable bed and bedding, good breakfast, friendly staff. But they didn't actually have the one thing that we needed and why we chose their facility.
- 1/5
Booked a King suite and the. Ex was a Queen. They gave me a different room with 2 queens. It smelled and looked as if no one had stayed in the room for awhile. Very dusty. There was a mouse trap out in the open by a couch which I took a pic of. The swim pool was very outdated and need of repair and upkeep
- 5/5
The young lady at check in was very nice and welcoming. Felt relaxed the moment we camr into the hotel. The room was very clean and welcoming.
- 4/5
The breakfast made it better for me was surprised all the options for free breakfast and nice rooms a noisy neighbors but our kids was noisey too so cant say much but other guests seemed very kind
- 5/5
Helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast, clean, comfortable beds. Very conviently located! 9 min. to downtown, so many restaurants nearby!
- 4/5
Pleasant, clean, convenient to freeway
- 5/5
Need charging stations
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff friendly. Some items of furniture in the room were worn. Elevator being replaced and there was a ceiling collapse in the indoor pool
- 3/5
There was no ice, elevator or tv. The mattress was old and the air conditioner did not work except for 15 second increments. Good price but we normally pick comfort suites because of the mattresses are normally ver comfortable. A little disappointing…
- 5/5
Very nice property. Comfortable beds, nicely decorated rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast with hot options.
- 5/5
Quite and clean sleeping & bathing accommodations.Breakfast was adequate, not great.
- 5/5
Really great staff
- 5/5
The Hotel was nice, it was clean and updated. the staff was friendly and helpful, when needed. The bed was comfortable. I would stay again. The only draw back was the TV need more channel selections, CNN and Sports is great but not all the times.
- 5/5
This was an excellent room for the price. Good size, clean, very good breakfast, easy to park. The breakfast was better than most hotels. Staff was friendly.
- 4/5
The water pressure in the bathroom was weak. And there was a little mold in the caulk in the shower.
- 5/5
Great but no elevator
- 5/5
Our room was perfect for our family of 5. Breakfast was fresh and delicious.
- 3/5
Other than that room was ok the sheet on bed had a small tear on the top right corner also the stairs were not working
- 5/5
It was fine. Dark and rainy when I was trying to find the facility and it was hard to determine the best way here.
- 4/5
The gentleman at the front desk was extremely kind and went above and beyond to help. Hotel was clean and beds were soft. It doesn’t definitely need some updates but awesome value for money. Breakfast was great!
- 4/5
Staff went above and beyond ensuring all the guests were taken care of. They all deserve a raise
- 4/5
Good breakfast Decent place for the money
- 2/5
Elevator did not work. Hotel needs a remodel.
- 4/5
Our air did not work well at all in our room was set in 51 and it was hot in our room but seemed to be ok in another room we had Other than that not a bad place to stay.
- 4/5
Really good property looked like it had been either remodeled or recently painted. One thing is that we were never offered housekeeping ij the 4 nights that we stayed. Other then that it was a good experience
- 5/5
GreT
- 3/5
I always stay here when I come into town and the room was not the cleanest the carpet smelled so bad and the around the toilet was filthy we had to clean it.
- 5/5
Check in smooth and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Back hotel entrance closest our room needs a light. It was a little scary in the dark.
- 4/5
Wifi was good, breakfast was better than expected, bed was comfortable. Overall I would stay again
- 5/5
Very comfortable
- 4/5
We stayed 1 night. The room was clean and quiet. The only problem was the curtains, they had sheers and 1 foot decorative panels on each side. I didn't like that people could look in the window.
- 5/5
I typically stay at this property when I visit Peoria. The front desk is always incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the parking lot is well lit with ample security camera coverage. I will definitely continue to stay here when I visit.
- 4/5
The greeting staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good though same thing everyday. Biggest frustrations were 3 things. 1. They stated they only clean the room every 3 days. We were there 5 days 4 nights and our room was never cleaned or restocked. 2. When I asked for more towels, they would not give me any bless I brought up the old ones which they would have had plenty of if they actually cleaned the rooms during the stay. 3. Half the power outlets in the room didn’t work. And no, it was not because we had the light switch off. We tried that. Again, overall the stay and room were fine and nice and that is the reason for the 4 stars. The other seemed like it may have been a one employee issue around the towels.
- 4/5
Quiet and clean, however the room smelled musty and the room needed updating
- 5/5
It was along my route.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly, accommodating, room clean but showing age. Breakfast ok, really needed coffee machine to work! Would stay here again.
- 4/5
Good quite bed conferrable
- 5/5
The Front Desk person made the stay. She was absolutely terrific. She made sure we had everything we needed and was super welcoming.
- 2/5
On a positive note, the breakfast which is complementary was actually good… However, a lot of the food did run out, and we had to get staff to replenish it from behind the desk… multiple times I walked up to the front desk and no one was there. The only reason I stayed at this hotel was because my sons baseball team was required to through the stay and play. No way when I ever stay here if I had a choice.
- 3/5
The elevator was non functional and in our room the floor by the window and air conditioner was soaking wet our entire stay. We told the front desk and it was never looked at. We told them on checkou
- 2/5
Rooms were dirty. Pool appeared to have had vomit in it. Multiple Windows were cracked throughout the facility. Our first room had no overnight security latch. Small complaint, the cable in the rooms have nothing for kids to watch
- 4/5
Good location. Easy on and off interstate.
- 5/5
Very accommodating. Very friendly. Certainly made us feel welcome.
- 5/5
It has been a joy.
- 3/5
The room was nice and big. Disappointed that pool was closed on a weekend so they could paint.
- 2/5
I will not stay here again. Called before booking to make sure the pool was open. Yes. Well after checking in the sign on the pool said closed. We asked a guy if it was open and he said yes wait just a minute. After waiting 30 min and him never coming back the lady at the desk said it’s closed. When checking in there was a baby behind the counter screaming the entire time of check in. When I asked for a refund because the only reason we booked here was for the pool we were told there was nothing they could do. If we had known the pool was closed we would have stayed next door for half the price.
- 4/5
We came to Peoria to look at a local college. We have never been to Illinois before. We weren't looking for anything fancy. This hotel is clean and quiet. I thought or room was nice. It is a2 story faculty and the elevator is out awaiting replacement. This want a problem but I know it could be for some. The room was nice and quiet. The breakfast was good. There were scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, juice and coffee. It wasn't anything spectacular but it was free with our stay. I thought our stay was good and exactly what we were looking for.
- 4/5
The room was clean .A little dust on the window sill. Breakfast pretty good.Coffee was terrible out of the machine.Clean or replace it please. All in all a good stay.PS: Parking lot could use some TLC.
- 4/5
We liked the convenient location and easy parking. The breakfast was very good. The room condition could have been better because there were some tiles missing in the bathroom and you could see some repair patches on the walls. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's rest.
- 1/5
This hotel is very run down overall. Curtains offered no privacy and there were families going out to their cars all night to get stuff walking by and slamming doors. Very hard to get some rest. Complimentary breakfast was pretty crummy too.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Facility is showing its age; time to replace carpet, spring in door not functioning (Rm111). A refresh would be a nice touch.
- 3/5
Elevator been out of service my last 2 stays ( every 5 weeks).
- 5/5
Honey moon stay and breakfast was great
- 4/5
Area around the hotel was very sketchy. Room was comfortable but can see it’s getting run down. Elevator was broken.Love Comfort Suites but this was not the usual quality I expect from them. It served it’s purpose as a place to crash for the night.
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly and takes care of business when it comes to the very rude customers with children running around, being loud and obnoxious.
- 5/5
Very nice,clean. Staff very professional.
- 3/5
Room was very nice! Staff was very friendly and accommodating!
- 4/5
It should be noted this hotel does NOT have an EV Charger... it has an EV Charger capable PLUG (outlet). We went to this location specifically because it mentioned EV Charging and I even called to confirm and they said they "had EV Charging". This obviously means different things to different people. Make sure to bring your own or be ready to drive to Bloomingdale for a fast charger because Peoria doesn't have any Level 3s.

Beautiful room. Unfortunately the elevator was out of commission.

The bathroom door would not close all the way. The USB charging ports near bed did not work. It was clean but some work is needed.

This is a very nice hotel. The room is very comfortable, clean and pleasant. My only issue is the parking lot, which is a complete skating rink. The weather isn’t good, but most streets are clear and safe. There does not appear to have been any effort to salt the parking lot, making it extremely unsafe. But otherwise, I would definitely stay here again!

This is my go to when I stay in Peoria. Its a little dated and wear and tear is apparent but its clean has a pool and good wifi.
