i never write bad reveiws, but i feel an obligation to warn people with familys not to go here. if you are down on your luck and need a cheap place to stay and are trained in self defense then this is the place for you. if you are a family on vacation dont even slow down anywhere near this place. the whole place was nasty, the people coming and going in and out were sketchey to say the least. the room looked like the 3 stooges did the construction. people were yelling in the halls and beating on doors all night. the ouside doors to the street didnt even close properly. i figured there was a 50/50 chance of my truck even being in the parking lot when i woke up the next morning, but thats what insurance was for my focus was on the saftey of me and my wife. Do Not BRING YOUR KIDS HERE!

We were in the middle of moving and had packed the U-Haul. We were leaving the next morning and wanted to get a good night sleep. I got 2 rooms. My room was near the entrance of the hotel. I heard everyone come and go. It was extremely LOUD. The door was not properly fixed. We could see the hallway light all around it. There was a random pill on the nightstand. My husband and I left, went home and my husband took our box springs and mattress off the truck so we could sleep. My adult children were already asleep in their room. They were awakened at 4AM by loud guests, so they came home.

Shady location just off the interstate. Cleaning staff looked like they just came from the halfway house. The hallways has a very strong marijuana odor, the rooms smelled mildewy and there was very strong odor that I can only describe as sewer gas. It was clean enough although not meticulously clean. The AC wouldn't cool at the moved me to a different room without much fuss, so the staff were friendly accommodating. It was okay for one night but I wouldn't bring my family here.

This is NOT A WYNDHAM PROPERTY!!! This place is Regency. If you book this place under the Wyndham name you will not have a reservation. Took 2 hours to check in got a great room. Left for dinner when we came back to our room someone else was in there. They found us another room but it wasn't as good as the first one. Smelled bad,and wasn't clean. We'd had already paid, luckily we hadn't left any of stuff in there. The owner is great but the help is horrible.

The room itself was mostly alright. Looked like it had been painted recently. No cups or coffee maker in the room. The door had the hinges replaced with gate hinges and painted over. The hallway smelled like weed and musty carpet. On the first floor the outside lights were so bright that even with the curtains drawn it was so bright in the room I had a hard time sleeping. It was difficult to find as they had put a new sign up saying Regency, not Baymont. I passed it looking for a Baymont sign. The whole place had a feeling like the owners were trying to make it better, but not necessarily being successful at it. I wasn't expecting the Ritz-Carlton, but the smell in the hallway make the entire experience less than enjoyavle.

There was only 1 pillow for a king bed and the room was extremely sparse. There were no washcloths and no towels, just a couple of handtowels. We spent the night without complaining but got out early the next morning and will never go back!

Lobby door was locked upon my arrival around 5:15 pm. There was someone with a bicycle at the door and he told me "she would be back in 5 - 10 minutes. I waited a minute and decided to leave because there were no other cars in the parking lot and this is a big building. Another man can around the corner and said "she was coming to the back door and would be in there in a minute" and then he and the other male on the bike left. The woman opened the door. No explanation why the door was locked, greeting, single word or even a smile. I said I had a reservation, but something just didn't feel right about this place and I told her that. I asked if there were other guests and after a hesitation she said yes, but there was no evidence of people or cars. She told me I could cancel if I wanted and I left. I didn't feel safe or welcome there and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

The pictures they provide is extremely misleading. Upon arrival, the Motel looked like it was under construction, it was a safety hazard to even walk around the property. The pool was a quarter of the way full and it was all rain water, it was full of algae. The room was a shock, the blanket was full of yellow stains and cigarette burns, the refrigerator was frosted inside and was full of mold. There was butter and its wrapper infused into the ice. The ceiling had black mold, the room smelled musty. This is essentially a motel for dug addicts. I immediately checked out and requested a refund from Expedia, stay away at all cost.

I booked 3 nights on the Regancy name and the price. I arrived about 11 pm, too late to change hotels. Conditions were so bad I canceled after the first night. When I arrived there were loud people partying in the parking lot. Just outside my window. The hotel was non smoking but people in the next room smoked all night. The door between our rooms had an open gap. The smoke detectors were covered in my room also. After midnight the hotel got real loud with loud people in the halls, loud music and doors slamming until around 3 am. I did not feel safe. The bedding and towels were worn and stained. The next morning when I went to the lobby and I canceled my last two nights, there were dangerous looking people hanging out in the lobby. I did not complain, I just said I had to leave.

This was the filthiest place to stay.As we had a very late arrival (1 AM), the parking lot was very busy with obvious drug sales and prostitution. Each parking space was filled with people inside the vehicles doing god knows what. The entire place reeked like marijuana, including the lobby. When entering the lobby,I was greeted by another guest who was clearly part of the prostitution part of this facility, hickeys all over her neck(really methed up)and asking for a phone charger. The receptionist was nice, but before greeting me,was under the desk getting high. She advised my room had been cancelled but there was still an open room, although I had called earlier in the day to let them know we would be a late arrival. Some of the windows of the rooms are covered in foil. The interior smells like weed, cigarettes, and mold. The people staying there are obviously regulars/there for one specific reason, which made it very sketchy to even walk down the hall way to check out the room. The door to our room was off the hinges and the only way it closed was to lift it back into place. Two of the four of us females entered the room with our guns drawn to be sure no one was in there. The beds/carpet/bathroom had blood stains and other questionable bodily fluids all over them.We returned the key to the receptionist after beating on the door to get her attention as she laid on the reception couch partially topless.Did not offer a refund, acted like she had no clue what kind of place she was working for.

The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and friendly. But it went downhill from there. There is a sign going into the building which says, "No Smoking within 20 feet of doorway " but, there is a receptacle for cigarette butts, as you walk in. The tile floor felt wet as we walked in and the carpeted hallway going to the rooms smelled damp. Entering room 126, there was graffiti on the wall. Walking into the bathroom, there were gnats everywhere. When we went to bed, the sheets felt damp, it was very unpleasant. The towels also felt damp. The view from our room was of a disgusting filthy unusable swimming pool. We left after a couple of hours and just headed home. They should really invest in dehumidifiers. I really wanted to ask for a refund, but didn't feel like arguing. I won't be staying there again.

This hotel should be taken off hotels.com. While waiting to check in to my room, a woman came up to the front desk. She complained that her “drugs, money, and wigs” had been stolen from her room. The receptionist did not even act phased by the fact that the woman stated she had drugs. The entire hotel smelled of marijuana, urine, and cigarette smoke. The bedding was stained and the room was not clean. Two men approached me in the hallway and asked me if I needed anything. I assume they meant drugs. I felt very unsafe, but I checked in to my room so late at night that I didn’t think I had any place else to go. This hotel should be shut down.

The hotel still (as of 6/10/21) has damage from a hurricane that hit Pensacola LAST YEAR. The roof leaks, there are exterior walls that are destroyed, broken rain gutters, etc. The hallways were littered with trash and there were shady characters constantly hanging around in the hallways. One of them asked me if I was a cop. My girlfriend and her daughter felt very nervous staying there and never left the room unless we were heading straight to the car to leave. Upon arriving, our room smelled of cigarettes and nothing had been wiped down. We wiped all the surfaces ourselves and it was absolutely disgusting. It was a eight hours or one night stayed. You got people who are wondering the hotel within the hallways. As we were leaving a person was coming towards the room, and he stretched his right arm. He did tried to prevent the door from closing and leave it open or not all the way close. His intention was clear to me, as he wanted to get in the room as we were leaving the room. I asked my family member to pull and close the door all the way to close it. My hands were obviously carrying luggage as I saw the happening.

HOWEVER... If you are someone who likes lobbies filled with people that looks like the green room of Jerry Springer, or if you like having many options for buying drugs, or renting a woman on your walk from your car. This is the place for you! Or if you like oddly wet and sticky and stained carpeting in your room, or a door that looks like it had been kicked in and re-hung by a blind person so that it's so poorly sealed that your room smells so badly of weed that it wakes you up because you think a bunch of Rastafarians set up camp at the foot of your bed... you'll LOVE this place. I'm guessing the pot smoke is why they had plastic bags over the smoke detector in the room I was in. Oh and if you can't sleep when it's too quiet... this is your place, the screaming matches throughout the night, doors opening and closing constantly (I'm guessing it's the offices of the women and dealers in the parking lot) people crashing into the wall... it's an ASMR paradise to some. A big plus is I would assume there's heavy police surveillance on the property, so that's PROBABLY why my car wasn't stolen overnight, oddly enough though, there were two cars in the parking lot when I left with flat tires.... so maybe it's not THAT over patrolled.

Everything was dirty, broken and clogged up, I took pictures of how bad the rooms are. Check in was ok but the property was littered and right of the bar we noticed lots of individuals hanging around the parking lot staring and making rude comments, I felt the safety of my family and belongings was imminently on the line. After seeing the room returned to the check in desk and refused the room provided for us and after seeing the second room we returned the key and demanded a refund. If you value your safety, your family’s safety do not stay here.

The staff was understanding and issued a refund. I did not notice the 2 star rating. It was full, but everything we saw from the lobby on was disorderly and not well kept. I don’t like panning any business in these times but this was a real low budget stop for those who don’t have much money. Not us.

Wig and I drove all the way from Texas, over 10 hours, just to find out that they canceled our reservation for no reason, no contact, and gave our room to someone else. Receptionist was very rude and disrespectful and didn’t try to help. We had to sleep in our car due to no available rooms within 3-4 hours away. Horrible experience for our 10 year Anniversary.

I didn't enjoy my stay , I changed rooms twice going from bad to worse . I entered the first room and was ranned out by the roaches , dead ones in refrigerator, nasty linens , carpet filthy, dried nastiness on walls and tables . I told clerk and she allowed me to move to another room only to be faced with more filth . Carpet filthy, fridge didn't work, tub stopped up, nasty linens, stains in covers and towels , no breakfast like they stated online , filth on walls , boogers smeared or plucked on TV . Health department or code enforcement should have been notified this . This place has been operating poorly for sometime and she be shutdown..

Will be very nice after work is complete. Room smelled of mildew. Bed was comfortable with new linens. A/C was cold but I had to clean loads of dust out of its filters. Went to store and bought Fabreeze liquid and poured into the a/c to rid room of ider. Bathroom was clean but towels were thin and smaller than I'd like to have had. Bathroom vent fan had loads of dust also. Ice machines didn't work. There is a lot of potential here when work is done. Nice pool , small but nice. Close to restaurants , shopping , movies , interstate. 35 minutes to the beach.

They try to trick you with nice pictures, but this hotel is a mess! Apparently it's under renovation, but it still doesn't excuse the lack of cleanliness. The first thing I found out when I checked in is that breakfast is no longer offered, which is one of the primary reasons I booked. However, I still chose to stay because I THOUGHT the price was still a good deal. Carpets were stained in the halls and don't look like they get vacuumed. I saw stains on the sheets and pillow cases. Couches and walls stained. Walls are paper thin. My boyfriend even saw a rat running in the hall!! I've worked in a hotel, and there are just certain standards that should be held. This was THE WORST place I've ever stayed. Do NOT come here!!

The linens were clean, the TVs worked (once we figured out how to operate them), the coffee makers and 1 of the refrigerators worked. The rooms were filthy, the carpet needs to be replaced, they need to be painted, the hinges on both doors are broken (you have to lift the door to close them), the bathroom faucet leaks when you turn it on, the toilet paper holders are skewed, the furniture is mildewed and the phones have never been cleaned. The place shows a gross lack of general maintenance. If this place is indicative to any hotels this company operates and I had a choice, I will never stay in them again. We were there because it was the closest hotel we could get due to evacuating and getting away from hurricane Mathew.

This hotel was overall decent. I probably wouldn't stay there again. The pictures looked nice. The hotel was under renovation when we arrived which included the breakfast room, so no free breakfast. We saw a couple roaches in the bathroom. Wasn't the cleanest place on earth. The staff was okay the nicest of the bunch was the room service lady. Maybe once they renovate the place it would be a nice place to stay.

Decided to take a spur of the moment family vacation to Pensacola Beach and this place looked nice for a 1 night stay.. Terrible idea! The hotel in under construction, which i guess I missed on the website. We tried to check in early since our room was ready, they charged us an extra $20! (We were covered in sand so we payed the fee). We asked the consierge for a decent restaraunt in the area, preferably seafood. She couldn't name anything except "frozen seafood". Couldn't recommend a single local place to eat at. The room was dirty, there was a stain on our sheets. Pillows and bed were so lumpy! Plus the bed had no blankets! Just 2 sheets. The "free breakfast" was a joke, only had cereal, coffee and bags of oatmeal. I would never take my family back here!! I was so upset that we wasted so much money on that hotel!

Shocked they are even in business. It smelled like mildew and mold as soon as we walked in. The carpet was damp and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. I didn't expect anything fancy for what we paid, but I did expect cleanliness. Neither of us would take a shower because of the lack of standards. I will never be back and was too scared to complain when I was there because I did not feel safe.

They said they were under renovation, and maybe they were just getting started on it. It wasn't just dusty from a renovation, it looked poorly kept. Like water stains on the windows and walls, mildew, cracked and boarded up windows. The electric outlets in the rooms didn't work. The towels had a plastic and sour smell to them, and they were very old and thin. The breakfast had 2 types of cereal and some bread to toast. The coffee wasn't made. But in our room, the sheets and bathroom were clean. The staff was nice, but overall, the building didn't look like it was being taken care of.

we only stayed long enough to get 2 hrs of sleep because of the fact that we had 13 hrs. of driving, and no other plan. upon arrival, the front desk worker was rude, and did not think that there was anything wrong with the place when in fact it was under construction, and smelled of all the mold that we could see just fine, and not so easily above the tiles falling from the ceiling. we stayed less than 2 hours and had to pay for the room because we were not informed of the fact that we had 15 minutes to get out without charge, then did not receive that information until after we had left, and saw the charge. STAY AWAY

I did not stay at this hotel. I had a reservation and drove two hours to get there. Once I arrived, they claimed that they did not have a reservation for me. I showed them my confirmation email with the confirmation number from Hotels Dot Com and they still said that they had no reservation for me and that they were sold out and couldn't provide me with a room. Eventually I found anther hotel room for about $33 more. I am still upset because I made a reservation and based my trip on being able to get a room at a cheaper rate than what I ended up paying. This was a business trip and I could have driven there the next morning but I went over the night before to avoid the 2-hour early morning drive since I found a room for that rate. Otherwise, I would have waited. Very disappointed.

This was the worst place to stay. First of all the price was ridiculous. I paid upwards of $200 per room. I booked two rooms. First upon arriving I was told that I was only given one room because the other room was already checked into by somebody else. I asked for a refund, and was told they couldn't do that because it had already been charged. I was further told that "these d*mn online websites book and overbook and don't tell us, and then these things happen". Well, the receptionist gave me another room. Upon entering I noticed the floor by then bed was saturated. I saw the air conditioner was leaking. I went to the receptionist and she laughed it off saying that she knew and that she was sorry but she couldn't do anything about it. The towels in the room were dingy. My husband banged his foot while walking noticing that there was a metal frame/stick sticking out from the center of the bed about a good 6-8 inches. The leaking consisted and ended up reaching the bed. By 2:30AM we couldn't sleep so we went to the car to wait for my sister and her family who stayed in the other room. In the morning I learned their room was just as bad. There was trash in the sofa. The bathroom door did not close. There were only two towels in the restroom, both dirty and one was torn (ragged). It was by far the worst stay of my life. I can't believe it was that much. I expect this from a cheap motel, but not from a $200/night hotel.
