This is a hidden gem. I wanted the small town beach life experience and that is exactly what this hotel offers. The ocean view rooms are amazing. You wake up and fall asleep to the sea. Nice breakfast included. The egg white omelettes were my favorite. Excellent staff checked me in and even posted a happy birthday message for me on their sign outside. Great value and great experience. The AC units could definitely be updated, mine was rather loud. Other than that this was a 9/10 for me!

This hotel it is a good choice, it has a great location, all the rooms have ocean view, free parking and breakfast included, for the price it was a great choice, another great thing housekeeping comes every day to do your room, without you having to ask, rare for hotels these days. As soon as I walked my room it smelled clean and it looked clean, the breakfast ladies were really nice also a guy that look like a grounds keeper, sorry I didn't ask the names. Overall the hotel was a great experience. Just the beach wasn't I think they were tripping a little bit about the high surf and they had the double red flag for about 3 to 4 days people were not able to enjoy the ocean. I had been on other beaches with about the same high surf and this didn't happen, but well this is something different not hotels' fault but I wanted to shared this as well in case you are planning to visit Pensacola.

This was our second time to stay here. Staff was fantastic and our room was clean. Fantastic views & direct beach access! We will be back!

Balcony could use more cleaning. Air conditioner could be less rarely. Shower rinse off area outdoors could use an upgrade. They need two or three package makers. But the beach access made up for it all. Beachfront pretty!

The hotel maintained a high standard of cleanliness and upkeep. The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness and provided excellent assistance. Each room offers an unobstructed view of the beach. Direct beach access is conveniently located at the rear of the hotel. The pathway leading to the beach is in excellent condition. The only suggested improvement would be the addition of a ramp to accommodate elderly or disabled guests, as the existing stairs present a challenge when transporting items such as wagons or strollers. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on-site at a rate of $60. Despite consistent beach usage and lobby foot traffic, the premises remained free of sand and water. The breakfast service was commendable, offering a diverse selection of options that varied daily, ensuring a satisfying experience for all guests.

There is not a more perfect view than from each of the balconies! We've enjoyed every time we've stayed.

That I had to leave. It rained the first day but we went shopping. The restaurants were so busy. One hour and 20min Wait. So the rest of the trip we skipped lunch and ate dinner around 3pm. Got right in.

The beach view and beach access was excellent. The hot breakfast was very good. My room was clean and spacious. I appreciated the mini fridge and small microwave. My only complaint was the loud, noisy air conditioner.

Upon arrival, we learned that there was no beach access from the hotel property. The County or State was working on the beach and had the access completely blocked. I know this is not the hotel’s fault and it cannot control what happens on the beach. My issue is this had been going on for weeks and the hotel should have notified guests with reservations that this was occurring. What is the point of booking an oceanfront hotel if you don’t have beach access? On my previous stay here, you could walk straight down to the beach and rent chairs/umbrellas, etc. Not this time and with no notice, we were completely unprepared. So we had to locate a store, buy chairs, umbrella, etc., and then find public beach access. Again, my issue was no communication -in advance - from the hotel that this was going on. If there had been any prior notice, I could have changed plans, prepared better or decided to cancel the trip. Hotel is fine but be careful.

We stayed in room 802 and it was amazing. The view was amazing also. We will be back and this is the place to stay.

The breakfast is always wonderful. It has a good variety for everyone and the coffee was wonderful. The rooms are very comfortable as well as the beds. There is always plenty of towels, etc. The guest services employees are always extremely friendly and helpful. Well we had issues with our air conditioning while there. Someone came up to look at it and we did what he said but it still did not work that well. It never came on a night, so therefore you did not sleep the best.

Our room was very clean, the view was amazing, we love the beach access. We especially loved the breakfast buffet in the coffee was amazing. The beds were comfortable. You had a microwave in fridge in your room with a coffee maker, which was a bonus.

The only drawback was the roof was being repaired during our week stay and the construction company had some equipment parked near the front door. Which was a slight inconvenience walking around to get to our car.

The room was good, but it’s supposed to be a non-smoking hotel and all night the smell of marijuana filled up the room clearly coming from the next room(adjacent room) and hallway. Windows and balcony closed all night. Other than that everything else was Okay.

The cost was NOT AS projected. One particular employee was NOT kind, but rude. There was construction in the work, all guests were inconvenienced by having to walk around construction area to get to the parking lot. NO discounts, compensation or otherwise offered. AND upon checking my bank account, more was charged than authorized!

We were there over Thanksgiving, when staffing was reduced, but even this did not affect service. The front desk was helpful and hospitable. The complimentary coffee station was always clean, organized, and well stocked. There was even hot chocolate available for the non-coffee drinkers. Beds were comfortable and we had zero complaints about anything. The weather was unseasonably cold with strong winds, so I cannot comment on the pool or the beach, but access to the beach was easy.

Room was at the very top of the building with an outside patio overlooking both the beach & bay! Absolutely stunning views, beautiful room, & within walking distance to everything! We will definitely be back :o)

We loved the beach view and being a little bit away from the boardwalk but still walkable. We saw the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets from our balcony. One morning we saw a bunch of dolphins playing right in front of the hotel, they were so fun to watch.

Breakfast menu is great & varies daily! The only room detraction is the old tech TV’s with 720 resolution and u can’t hook up ur fire stick to them. Cable tv is a thing of the past! We’ve stayed at the holiday Inn Express several times in the past and the staff, facilities, location, access to the beach, and all the rooms face the beach make it a wonderful place to vacation!

This was our second stay here. The room was so nice and clean. A really good sized room. The balcony and views ❤️ My husband thought the shower was fabulous, the best water pressure in a hotel ever. They had a new coffee set up in the lobby where you can get fresh ground coffee 24 hours which for this early riser was my favorite 😍 we were so surprised how good it was. The breakfast was good too. We liked the pancake machine, so much easier than the waffle makers. The hotel being right on the beach was awesome🤩

We decided to stay here for our Anniversary weekend and we couldn’t have been happier with this selection. The staff went above and beyond to surprise us with our room decorated for our special day. The free breakfast every morning was amazing and the staff kept the area fully stocked and clean at all times. Our room had a beautiful view of the beach and our room was perfect. We will definitely be back.

The breakfast was good. I had been before… i did not like the new configuration of the breakfast area as it felt crowded and not because of people…. Twice i took my coffee and toast back to my room…

They had a hot breakfast buffet! They also had muffins, if that's what you wanted. Overall, an awesome experience.

The Holiday Inn Express on Pensacola Beach is very private with sand dunes on either side of it. The beach is beautifully kept, the hotel is quite clean and the staff are there for you if you need anything. Also, great breakfasts.

Great location and awesome beach views. I love the cut out areas of the balcony for a better view. Breakfast was really good. Coffee was the best hotel coffee I’ve ever had. Machine ground the beans, and it was served super hot. Even after all the creamer I add, it was still almost too hot to drink, PERFECT! Staff was friendly and helpful. I love the “borrow bin” where you can give and take chairs, floats, etc for the beach. The only negative to the hotel is the low water pressure. It makes it hard to wash long hair. Otherwise, we would definitely stay again. This was our 3rd time here.

There was no mold or strange smells. The linens were clean but not perfumed. I’m very sensitive to smells and allergens so this was a delight!

The only thing that I didn’t like was the faucet in the bathroom sink was too short for the big sink and counter and water got on the counter very easily but everything was clean, spacious and beautiful.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect, with easy access to everything, and parking was a breeze. My room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent staff at the desk. Nice pool and beach access. One flaw was running out of breakfast items very early.

The best part about this place is the staff. Everyone here was welcoming and friendly. The bed was comfy and the room was pretty clean aside from some sand here and there (it’s impossible to get rid of the sand). The beach was fairly quiet and relaxing. Breakfast is complimentary and was pretty good. There are nearby restaurants but depending on the time of year, it’s not the most walkable place. It was scorching hot when we were here so we opted to drive 6 minutes versus walking 15. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was great! All rooms have a great view of the beach. Access to the beach was fantastic, and sitting on the balcony was so relaxing. Breakfast was good too! I’d definitely go back

Beautiful

My children and I stayed a week in Pensacola and loved every minute . Every staff member was very helpful. We loved how close the beach was and the pool was clean. Breakfast was good , but try to go early because it can be very busy. The view from the room was my favorite part. Enjoyed it so much I am planning to return this fall

I’ve been staying at this same hotel for years. It’s very clean, friendly staff, ocean view in all rooms, 1 of the best hotels in the area. You get what you pay for. Don’t be fooled with other hotels in the area.

Great location and the beach was quiet and secluded, great for family’s with young kids. The breakfast buffet was always quality. Only negative I could think of was a laundry facility would have been convenient.

It was AWESOME. Every employee was so nice and friendly. Everyone was helpful and always did what they could to meet our request. We were always greeted. House keeping cleaned our room, and restocked towels, trash bags, ect, a whole refresh everyday while we we're gone. We loved being right on the beach. The balcony with the gulf view was great. The pool was great. The breakfast was great. And I loved that it was served all the way until 10 so we didnt have to wake up early! they served cookies throughout the day. It was a really great stay. My favorite trip to Florida so far! They put "happy birthday emmaleigh" on their billboard for me. This place really goes above and beyond.

It was ok nothing really stood out, good or bad. Next time I will stay closer to , at least better walking distance to crabs seafood restaurant.breakfast is not bad and not good. It’s a ok place for a couple of days not for a week!.

Wonderful place to stay in Pensacola Beach. Convenience of being right on the beach. Staff was great. The breakfast was great and the staff serving the breakfast were awesome! Would give 10 stars if it was an option. This is our go to spot for family beach vacation.

The hotel was nice. However, the room we stayed in had a loud AC fan that would make loud noises in the night. Also, one of the staff was rude to my girlfriend when she went to get something from the breakfast bar. They said it was closed but it looked like it was still open and employees were eating there.

Our stay was wonderful! The nice clean room with breathtaking gulf view! The staff was professional and courteous! The complimentary breakfast each morning was great! Spending time on the beach and visiting around the local area was fantastic and made memories for my family! Thank you all so much! 😊

The room and breakfast were good. Great views of the ocean, there is a dock leading down to the beach so you don’t have to fight with all the sand. Room was very clean but if you’re a smoker. There is one bench by the road that faces west. You get the SUN all day. It would be nice if it was covered. Otherwise, the hotel, staff, breakfast was great.

This property was beautiful, clean, its own beach, and with excellent ocean views from the room. The staff was very friendly, there was plenty of parking, and lots of things to do in the area. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that there was no bar on site. It would’ve been nice to enjoy a drink at the pool or beach. Never-the-less, we will be returning to stay here again.

The breakfast items, eggs, potatoes were cold, the bacon was very greasy. Staff was not friendly.

The pool was just OK. The beach towels were old and faded. The gym was very small and had no weighlifting machines. Only Dumbells and treadmills. So, for the price, I would not recommend this property. There are others for the same price with nicer amenities. When I pay up to $400 per night, I expect more.

All rooms were very clean comfortable with ocean views. Great shower, good coffee, quiet comfortable room.

This was a couple retreat for us just to get away and have some alone time. We live in Pensacola. It was a perfect 2 days of relaxing with each other. Staff was awesome, breakfast was good and we didn’t have to rush downstairs to enjoy it.

Everything was wonderful, but again just like the last hotel I booked through hotels.com, the pictures were a little misleading, I thought I selected a room with 2 queens and a couch but apparently not. Me and my children did not have enough sleeping room. Overall everything else was wonderful. Loved the heated pool, love the short distance to the beach and the views were amazing. It would have been nice to have an on site laundry room, but there was one about 4 minutes up the road, so it worked out.

We stayed mid April with our toddler so she could see the beach. Location wise it’s great, but the comfort of the room was lacking. Our A/C was fussy, the walls are thin, and the noise from the mini fridge and air when it kicked on was really loud and high pitched. And it may be because I’m pushing 40- the bed was not comfortable at all. Even my 3 year old moved and woke all through the night and she usually sleeps like a log. Price wise and proximity to the beach was good though. The heated pool was great and staff was friendly. I’m just glad it was only 2 nights.
