    There needs to be more attention to detail. We had to switch rooms 3 times first room no AC, second room TV wasn’t functioning, third room finally fully functioning but still just like the other rooms…. Very dusty and there were ants…staff is great but hotel owners and higher up management really need to either hire more people or change the way they’re doing things.

    Unfortunately, this visit fell well below the standard I had come to expect. The king room I reserved was noticeably disappointing. Upon arrival, the bedding appeared less than clean, which immediately raised concerns about the room’s upkeep. Additionally, the television service was not functioning because the cables had been disconnected. While I was able to resolve the issue myself, guests should not have to troubleshoot basic room amenities during their stay. The most significant letdown was the bathroom. It felt outdated, worn, and in need of renovation, detracting from the overall comfort and quality of the room. Not The condition of the bathroom made the accommodations feel far below what I remembered from previous visits. What makes this especially disappointing is that I have genuinely enjoyed staying here in the past. Based on those experiences, I arrived expecting the same level of quality and attention to detail. Sadly, this stay did not deliver that experience and has left me considering other lodging options for future visits. I hope management takes this feedback constructively, as this property has the potential to provide a much better guest experience than what I encountered during this stay.

    The location is great and makes all things Pasadena very accessible. Staff consistently friendly (front desk, restaurant, valet) all around. Wow, so this once very nice hotel is TIRED. The public areas seemed up to par, but the room was tired and not well - equipped. Furniture all nicked and scratched. Shower/fixtures not great. Closet door that would not stay open on its own and would slide closed on your hand when retrieving or putting up clothes -- seems minor, but is very annoying. NO FULL LENGTH MIRROR -- really??

    Was there for a family event near by…changed from Marriott to Westin due to a family members insistence. Pool was not in order, rooms were tired, staff was fine..restaurant was average at best…parking cost ridiculously expensive, valet was slow, and totally regret changing from the Marriott. Location was the only benefit. For the extra expense…it was not worth it.

    I was frustrated because I think the phone in my room did not work, I needed help logging onto the Wi-Fi and then also calling down to get my car out of valet. And every time I dialed any number. All I got was a busy signal so there was no way to reach the staff of the property other than going downstairs and talking to them.

    I purchased a package at Westin with breakfast included for two. I like to start my day and not look for place to eat. We stayed at the hotel for 1 night and were eager to begin our day. When we came to the dining room we were informed that our breakast will cost us in the area of $60! We showed our reservation that we made through expedia and were informed that it is the hotel police and that we have to deal with the front desk, nothing we said made any difference. I thought that to pay for a plate ( it was not even continental breakfast) of eggs and half cooked potatoes and a plate of salmon and bagel combined total over $80 ( together with what we already paid to Expedia) was to say the least a bit much. My husband got a little upset and told me to pay whatever and start our day. We did not come here to argue and waist time instead of going to Huntington Botanical gardens. At the end of our breakfast we were told that the charge will be something around $13. Why $13 I dont know. We signed the receipt and left tips in cash not wanting to punish the server. I went to the front desk where I showed them my reservation that I made with Expedia and they did confirm that it stated that breakfast was included BUT it was the policy of the hotel that even to their high level clients they only gave #30. After a long "discussion" they agreed to remove the charge. I do not trust them to do since they did not honor the contract in the 1st place. It a SCAM reserve elsewhere.

    Stayed here for two nights. Staff are very friendly. Lemon water offered in the lobby, basic amenities, and they will hold your luggage if you arrive early or need to leave later in the day after check out. Room was a decent size. I was able to check in a little early, but had to switch rooms from king size to two double beds since that was what was available, at no extra charge, which I didn’t mind.

    The hotel really spoilt us and we’re so extremely grateful. Had been traveling through the States and this was towards the end of our trip. It was also my hubby’s significant birthday and they upgraded our room and gave a few birthday surprises. So kind! Great location. Beautiful hotel, comfy beds, excellent staff at reception. Hotel has an elegant vibe and great view over city hall. We loved Pasadena. Included breakfast a little odd, you simply get a credit towards the Al a carte menu. We mistakenly thought breakfast would be a buffet.

    We had a nice room and the bed was very comfortable, with four pillows and a nice down comforter. There were some issues with our room, though. The bathroom door was difficult to close and some of the paint had been scraped off because of poor alignment. The outlets between the beds did not work. The outlets inside the bathroom did not work either. When we went to checkout, I had been charged $5.42 for making coffee inside the room. The person at the front desk removed the charge. Then, after checking out and leaving, our credit card was charged $9.95. Apparently, housekeeping said that we used a bottle of Fiji water that we did not use. What is going on with housekeeping at this Westin? The beds were comfortable and nice, but the rest was not okay.

    It appears that this property is struggling with very visible challenges - primarily in both services and personnel. Our stay was a single overnight, midweek, and we had pre-paid for a king room. When we arrived, we (and about 4 other guests parties) found that not only was there no one at the front desk to check us in, but also no one on the first floor - at all - to help us. It became so absurd that I picked up the phone behind the front desk, and when I reached a hotel operator and told her that we were all awaiting check-in and no one was there, she hung up. Once checked in, we went to our room and found it was a double queen room. I went back to the front desk, and now waited in line again, and reported that we had erroneously been given a double queen. Their response? I'm sorry but the hotel is sold out! I brought to their attention that I had in fact PREPAID for a king room and it was in fact our Anniversary Weekend. The fun was just beginning... They found us an "accessible" king room (which was fine, but hopefully the "fully booked" hotel didn't have guests with disabilities who truly needed the ammenities), but could find anyone to help us with our bags. So, we found an unattended cart in the carport and schlepped our bags ourselves. The same treatment the next day: no one answered our call for bell service -- or a call for the valet overnight parking. And single-ply TP in the bathroom? Don't get me started. Overall, a very unsatisfactory experience.

    The property was clean well maintained. The check in experience was Amazing the gentleman who checked us in was Exceptional with his customer service skills. Even though we didnt use housekeeping for our stay the ladies who were cleaning on our floor were getting it done and friendly and smiling. We called the front desk due to issues with our AC and they sent up a wonderful gentleman who actually took time to clean the screens amd explain how it worked we were impressed by his kindness and the extra work he did. The staff were great and ooh not to forget the bartender who suggested the chicken 🌮 she was great. All in all we were very 😊. The only issues that were frustrating were the scaffolding outside our window and the fact that the pool was unavailable which is why we choose your hotel. We plan on traveling back in a month so that Princess Geneva will be closer to her speaking with James Beard foundation.

    The room had a noticeable musty odor upon entering, which unfortunately lingered throughout our stay. It gave the impression that the space had not been properly ventilated or refreshed in quite some time. The room itself was also much smaller than expected, with very limited space to move around or store luggage comfortably. In addition, it felt quite dark and somewhat dreary. Natural light was minimal. Basic conveniences were also lacking. A microwave in the room would have been very helpful, especially for longer stays or for reheating leftovers, but none was provided. Small amenities like this can make a big difference in overall comfort. One bright spot during our stay was the shower. The water pressure was excellent and easily the highlight of the room. Unfortunately, that was not enough to outweigh the other shortcomings. Overall, while we anticipated some disruption from construction, we did not expect the property itself to feel so worn and outdated.

    Very nice reception upon arrival. Check in process is very easy. Staff are very willing to help. My bed was very comfy. There was no printed information in my room as to hotel information, room service options, local services, and attractions. There is nowhere to park, so you must pay extra to have parking for your car and valet retrieval.

    Location At 3pm our room was not ready. On day 2 our room was not cleaned. They had the cheapest coffee machine at the room. The water bottles were Fiji and prices $9. They gave you rhe cheapest plastic bottle as a courtesy. One per day. Hotel pictures are not as shown. It’s much older. They must be updated.

    If I could give this hotel more stars, I would. I lost my mother in the early morning of the day I checked in. I had not slept in over 28 hours and decided I would go to the hotel at 9:30 in the morning. I explained what was going on, and Reginald was so accommodating and helpful. They let me check in 6 hours early with no additional charge! The room was very nice and clean and all the staff were so nice. Thank you again for what you did for me that day.

    The hotel didn’t disclose they would have a water shut off during my stay at the Westin Pasadena. Very nice hotel. But they didn’t offer any type of accommodation or some type of reimbursement. The stay was pricy and for the water to be shut off during a select few hours and the water being brown. Felt very disappointed. I wouldn’t mind staying here again but it is unfortunate about the water situation and the water being brown.

    Excellent service and a quick (no lines) check in. Spotless room, and a great view of the San Gabriel mountains to the north. The hotel is easy to find, just off the 210 freeway. Very comfortable beds. All good! Highly recommend.

    Friendly staff NO WiFi ! To register to some App., is most difficult for seniors ! TV went OFF at 8 pm, “no connection”, but several stations like Lifetime available, no regular channels. One phone not working, actually not a major problem. The rug not cleaned up to bottom of bed. Crumbs on floor when I pulled covers back at bottom of bed frame!

Some things to know are parking is an overnight fee of $19, breakfast is not included but the restaurant is great! There is a gym to use on the 4th floor. So I look forward to staying here again

We then complained to the day staff the next day, they were much nicer, but the hotel offered us nothing to compensate for the bad experience. Really quite a let down given the cost. While the lobby of the hotel is nice, the rooms are small and no different than a motel room.

    This is an old world business hotel, and could do for a remodel soon. Totally fine for the incredible price, but not anything you would want to go back to. I would especially recommend doing some thing about the relatively boring breakfast menu, although the surface in the restaurant is always amazing. What happened to the free coffee? Also special shout out to the front desk staff and the valet staff. Excellent as always.

    Expedia charged for a surge due high demand, but did not divolge the hotel did not have a hot tub or pool working. This was one of the main reasons we stayed at this location. Nothing was done by the hotel and Expedia made an incredibly weak attempt to make things better by a lackluster offer only beneficial if I spent MORE money with them instead of fixing the originally issue.

    It's a nice, comfortable and convenient place to stay, but we had 2 disappointments: 1. Prior to our stay, we received an email alerting us that the "outdoor pool" was closed for maintenance (has been for months, it turns out). We inferred, though, that the *indoor* pool would be open, and planned to use it. Alas, there is no indoor pool! They should have written "swimming pool," not qualified it by saying "outdoor" when that's the only pool, and they should have offered the use of a pool at one of the several nearby Marriott properties. 2. The fragrance of the cleaning material they use throughout the hotel is very strong and pervasive, and irritated my airways.

    We were first put into a very dirty smelly room. The mirror had some sort of lipstick or something smeared on the mirror. The pool was out of order, but after complaining they gave us a much better room and pool pass to the Hilton, a couple drink tix and breakfast to make up for the first night. Alisa and Jessica helped us out.

    It's a pretty classy hotel. Staff was top notch along with the rooms. 1 mile walk to old town, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops there. The one thing I didn't like was the parking. It's public parking and although there's dedicated spaces for the hotel, you still have to get a ticket and pay for everytime you exit. And about 80% of those spaces were for compact cars... so it's pretty tight.

    Check in was a breeze. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Parking was easy. However, the parking connected to the hotel is technically 'public parking' with no in and out privileges ($19 per day). If you valet a vehicle, you do receive in an out privileges. But the cost is $29 per day. The pool was closed due to renovations (they let us know during booking and upon checkin). The area is fairly quiet and safe. But the local parrot population is VERY loud! It did not impact our stay. Plenty of food options within walking distance. Or there is a restaurant attached to the hotel (we did not eat there). I would stay here again.

    Hotel was in a great location and had the comfortable Westin beds. Check in staff was lovely. Not one of the nicer Westin’s I’ve stayed at - definitely looking a bit tired. Bedspread had stains on it and bathroom was okay (could use a refresh). Also not great that the self-park did not have in/out privileges at $19/day (only valet at $28/day did).

    Attention: Mr Tim Lusher 191 Los Robles Avenue Pasadena CA 91101 Dear Mr Lusher, Recently I made a reservation at your lovely hotel. We had last stayed there when it was a Doubletree Hotel thirty-five years ago to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday and we thought to mark her 75th birthday it was time to do it again! When travelling to your premises we were shocked and dismayed to open an email informing us your swimming pool was not in service! While the pool was not first and foremost in our decision-making in choosing your location, it was a significant factor, a factor that should in someway be compensated for, given the degradation of your product and our desires. Consequently, I responded to this email and so inquired. I got no response. Givem the lack of response, prior to arrival, I phoned your hotel and asked for you. A lady by the name of Jessica answered the phone, she said you were in meetings. I asked for a return call. She said you were a very busy man. I again asked for a return call. She in essence suggested at least three times that I was a "dumb ass" for not seeing on Expedia's site that the pool was closed. What I did see, and I went back subsequently to confirm, was on the lead page a beautiful photo of your swimming pool (with no red letters with embossed overlay stating closed). On that page I then chose "select you room" where I was taken to another page with another beautiful picture of the swimming pool.

    Room was not an upgraded room as previous stay. AC really needs to be improved. Location is prime and that’s the selling point. But parking staff seemed a little annoyed at times and pool not being available truly was a let down. Bath tub was extremely slippery .
