Rodeway Inn & Suites Pasadena

It is not a safe environment for anyone. Owner, manager, and supporting staff allow anyone off of the street just to meet their numbers. I was forced to stay the whole weekend of Friday June 5-8. Expedia spoke with the owner and I was allowed to leave on Monday June 8, 2026. Then because I gave them a bad review, they charged me for 5 whole days and I checked out very early on Monday June 8, 2026. Only to find out that the owner had first agreed to reimburse me for a whole week, then turn around and deny me the 5 days. Don't stay here. Stay somewhere else. Corrupt ownershipe. No se queden aqui. El dueno es corupto.

No breakfast, phone at room didn’t work, soft mattress, no laundry for customers.

Room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was also excellent the mirror had excellent lighting. Parking. There isn’t enough and what they do have is a tight squeeze. If you don’t damage your door by hitting one of the pillars another guest will bang their door on your car. It is a small location so don’t expect to be able to check in early.

It was clean and most important the bed .the bed was confterble ,those 2 things is what makes a stay count.

A wonderful stay. The property has been upgraded, which makes a big difference. Showers and flooring has improved since the last time I stayed here a few years ago. The building was rundown a few years ago, so I went to the place across the street. That motel is going down hill, so I decided to return to Rodeway at almost the same price. Worth it. Will be back.

The room we got seemed old, but the bed was comfortable, had good tv channels and the jacuzzi bathtub was amazing!! The parking lot was pretty full, small and hard to maneuver, but there was one spot left when we arrived in the evening that we were able to fit into so it turned out ok. The price was high but not unnecessarily high under the circumstances (new years eve and location was walking distance from the rose parade route). I would stay here again as a treat.

The shower was nice..... that was about it. ? Staff was apathetic. Not customer friendly. Room was hot. AC was loud. Upon arrival there was no bar soap or body wash in the shower. After I told the front desk they said room service would take care of it the next day and they'd refill the body wash..... my room was never cleaned the next day even though I had the room service sign on my door. Body wash was not refilled. Beds sunk in, very uncomfortable. Same with the pillows. Coffee maker didn't work unless I held a button down the whole time it brewed. Some outlets didn't work. Tv remote didn't work properly. Ice machine didn't work. Maids wouldn't clean the room unless I went and complained and then they'd clean the NEXT DAY (this happened twice, I was there a whole miserable week). Our room keys stopped working in the middle of our stay, I had to have the front desk reactivate them. On the last day I needed creamer and I asked the front desk if he could give me some creamer.... he lied and said he didn't have the key where the supplies were (I know this because a previous day a different front desk associate opened the supply closet for me). This other individual told me only cleaning service had a key and that he'd "send them over in 10 min..." this was at 8am...I checked out at 11 am and no one ever took me creamer. I wasn't even surprised at this point. The entire stay was awful. Honestly I hated almost everything about this hotel other than the shower. That was the only nice thing there lol. I'll never ever stay here again and I RECOMMEND EVERYONE AVOID THIS HOTEL AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. ANYWHERE ELSE WOULD BE BETTER. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ?

the hotel was nice and the bathrooms were nice and updated looked super fancy but only issue was that the room wasn’t really cleaned there was hair everywhere in the bathroom and i mean EVERYWHERE all up in the blower dryer, a little in the shower, on the floor, and in the towels and they were definitely not from me because these were long hairs and i have short hair the water pressure wasn’t that good either just felt like it was raining on me. i also saw like 4 spiders in the lobby. The tv was a lil complicated. Bed is really comfy tho

It was a good experience specially in relation to price-value.

The size of the property was small and easy to access They kept complaining and we were just walking around upstairs, my kids had to basically tiptoe around , it was very frustrating , meanwhile our neighbors on each side were yelling and playing music all hours of the night and didn’t seem to get any calls, there was pink paint on the wall, stains on the table, and no cable shows for anyone to enjoy , mostly just news and old outdated shows.

Should have let people check in their bag prior to 3pm. I arrived their @2:30pm and they declined to offer.

The area is quiet later at night. Unfortunately there’s limited parking spaces. If you come in late in the evening it is possible you won’t find a space in the property’s parking. You will park on the streets. The bed is comfortable, no smell whatsoever. The only thing disappointing is there are no hangers & hooks for your clothes so you don’t need to iron to clear folds & wrinkles. Otherwise you have to lay them on the bed. Not a big deal if you’re alone. Staff are friendly.

The room was really clean and it was also spacious. It felt brand new and was really nice. The bed was comfortable and smelled nice. The place seems to have been updated since the last time I had stayed there about a decade ago. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. I appreciated that there was a garage to park with overhead. Unfortunately once I located the ice machine; to my dismay it was not working. They need to get it fixed or get a new one. It was quiet here for the most part. I would stay here again.

Easy check in, big room, served the purpose for a one night stay. Seemed like the hotel has recently been painted and modernised. It was a bit intimidating that the check in counter had a bullet proof window. Made us wonder if we were staying in a good place or part of town. This basically conditioned our whole stay. the sofa in the room was stained, but apart from that the room was big and comfortable.

The room was clean and very nice, I loved the lighting I paid cash for the $100.00 deposit when checking out they had no record of my deposit, they had to call the young man that checked me in, luckily he remembered, next time I will take video of me giving them my deposit. Needs more parking spaces, I had to park on the street and walk to the hotel with my bags late night, very unsafe

The location The front desk attendant tried to shake me down for $100 deposit cash with no receipt and would not take a credit card. Once he realized I was recording him, he returned the money. The room had very obvious signs of lack of proper maintenance (see photos). Finally, for the price we could’ve spent an extra $50 a night and had a much more pleasant experience. We only chose this based on the proximity to our event

Comfortable beds in good room size. Perfect location for my visit to the museum. Close to different stores and things for convenience. I paid extra to be able to use the hot tub and it was not operable. The gentleman on staff was trying to help me operate it but it would not work. I was told to contact booking.com to get a partial refund for the inoperable hot tub.

I’ve stayed here in the past and have always had a great experience. However, this was my first time staying during the holidays, and I noticed significantly more disturbances than usual especially other people fighting in the hallway. The last couple of days of my stay were particularly challenging, which may have been related to the Christmas holiday period.

I had a good experience at this old hotel. The manager and employees, especially the maids, were first-rate. The manager needs to replace the old sofa and coffee table with a table with two chairs so the guests can eat their food properly.

Smell of very strong disinfectants in room and hallways made our eye water.

Very, very noisy...I was there for 3 nights, same issue each night...I had to put on 'white noise' from the internet over my phone or computer to try to block out the noise that carries all through the floor from any other guests laughing or talking loudly in their nearby rooms, sometimes even from rooms way down the hall, and anyone walking above me came through the floor pretty loudly, so the insulation is very poor. Even the maid service never cared, and laughed and talked very loudly with the doors open of the rooms they were cleaning. I am a very late night person...I perform standup comedy and music, and usually on the road I don't get to sleep until 3AM or later, so I'm still trying to sleep often when the maid service is starting around 9 or 10AM. I had to tell management that they need to let their maid service know they have a sound insulation issue so they can be mindful of this and at least shut the door of the rooms they are cleaning if they are going to want to entertain each other with loud conversation, etc.

I really enjoyed my stay at this small, no-frills hotel. Though they don’t serve breakfast, it wasn’t an issue at all there are many nice cafés nearby, and the front desk had great local tips. An older property, but nicely refurbished, and quiet.

Staff was the opposite of hospitable, not as much of a smile. No effort to accommodate an early check in which is fine but said they’d call when the room would be ready and never did. Building is loud, there was a verbal fight in the hall that woke us up around 1am. Wouldn’t go back and won’t recommend.

TV doesn’t need provide consistent volume. Some channels had no sound at all. Parking is the worst. All spaces are very compact. The hallways could use new paint and all the baseboards needs to be wiped down. Weird random stains on the walls inside of the room. Bedsheets have stains. Pillow case has a burn hole in it even though I was in a non-smoking room. There was no smoke detector on the ceiling. I checked all the end table drawers and inside closet area. Did not find one. That was disturbing to me.

Good location. The room was spacious, however there was no closet of any kind. Nothing could be hung up. There were a few small drawers. Pot smell was strong one night in the hallway. AC did not seem to work, but we opened the window to get a breeze.

Misrepresentation false advertisement preying on public. They advertise a king suite and a standard room with a king bed. I paid for the suite and they gave me a standard room when I spoke to owner. He tried to convince me by saying it’s the same thing I showed him the pictures on their website. And he had no response. I paid for a suite why advertise two rooms at two different prices if they’re the same thing? To rip people off that’s why!!

I had a wonderful stay at this motel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, with everything I needed for a relaxing night. Room was pretty clean with the exception of some possible staining on the couch in the room, and the bed was not very comfortable. But, overall not a bad stay at all. Front desk was very kind, seemed to be a safe area, and the bathroom was very nice and clean.

Hotel room smelled like cigarette smoke. Door would not lock when I left the room. They said I needed to slam it. That did not work very well. They need to shim the doors to fix the problem. Smoke detector was not installed.

Room was dirty with hand prints on the walls. They had something break during my stay and water was running down the hallway with no sign so I slipped. My room key would reset each day around 12:00 so I had to get a new one each day. Front desk would just laugh and get you a new one. Front desk would sit in a chair around the corner behind the desk so you would have to yell hey to get service. They literally just stare at you and complete what you need without a single word. Terrible customer service. Tweekers in the parking lot where no one monitors the parking lot so good luck getting parking after 5:00.

There was a lot of police activity. The door was closed but you were able to push it in. We did not feel safe and left 2-3 hours after check in.

Garage parking is very tight requiring a lot of skill not to bump another car or a column.

Please, I want to cancel this reservation because the room is is dirty towel it’s dirty the sheet on the bed it’s dirty. I want cancellation and I want my money back. I checked out from the hotel around it Siri or nine that’s because I can’t stay. I tried to push myself to stay, but I can’t.

It was just dirty. Kinda nasty 😕… also, beware, the guy at the front desk asked for $100 cash deposit. He wouldn’t take a card, only cash.

The only complaint I’ve ever had was during my most recent visit, they are apparently renovating the building and that would’ve been nice to know before booking my stay as it was a little noisy but didn’t happen outside of normal business hours (9am-5pm) so it wasn’t that bad! I’m glad they are making improvements to the somewhat outdated building. Not flashy but a great value for the money.

A mysterious odor greeted us from the moment we entered the property. It seemed to permeate every space. Our room was thick with this odor, and it was difficult to sleep. The AC didn't help, nor opening the window. It was almost headache inducing. Lots of details were overlooked by housekeeping and management. The mattresses on the beds were awkwardly squishy, to the point of it being difficult to get in and out of. Once we were settled, it was ok. The only good thing I can say, is it was very quiet and we were not disturbed during the night.

upon arrival you will notice that the surrounding area is not pleasant. nevertheless we were exhausted and decided to give this place a chance. we walked into the lobby and noticed a very unpleasant odor… First red flag. the check in process was fairly smooth. we head over to our room and notice a ring camera above our door on the outside. a bit weird but okay. we walk into the room and it smelled of mens cologne and was a bit humid as if someone had just used the shower. within five minutes we hear a woman outside screaming at the top of her lungs. our door did not contain the metal lock reinforcer that most hotels have which appeared to be removed. it made us feel unsafe given the circumstances and the location. we decided to check our beds before even considering getting into them and noticed there were blood stains on the sheets along with some other mystery stains. as exhausted as we were we could not stay as we felt unsafe and unsanitary in doing so. we decided to leave and requested. refund for the inconvenience and both the manager and Expedia refused to accommodate our request for refund.. terrible customer service from both parties. if you read the reviews it will confirm all that i am saying, i wish i would have done that prior to booking and losing my money,

Small parking space

Due to circumstances beyond our control our late check in was delayed 2 times. We called both times to inform front desk but clerk was perturbed when we arrived

They have upgraded everything from the rooms to total over hall of the electric throughout the whole complex. I stayed for 2 nights and going back for 2 more next week. It takes a lot to impress me but I was impressed and had a great stay. The gentleman at the front desk went above and beyond to make my stay a great one. AA

they know we have three persons when we check in, however, they only provide two sets of towels. we asked one extra set one time when we were at the reception area, the guy gave us three floor towels instead. the next day we left a paper to let them know in our room, they gave us one extra bath towel. the last day, we only have 2 face towels, 1 hair towel and 2 bath towels even we left the paper again...

The staff are great but they aren't always sitting there. Because of construction, you have to call to talk to anyone. I was a bit frustrated to not find tokens/quarters readily available for guests to get ice. Maybe you can supply each guest with a token or 2 for the ice machine when they get their room key. But the room was spotless and comfortable. We were in 216....the outlet closest to the desk and coffee machine halfway up the wall doesn't work. The others worked fine.

Hotel was nice but repairs were being made, plastic over the windows so we were unable to lookout first floor was totally under construction and messy but it looks like hotel will be a nice place to stay once upgrades are complete.

How are they even licensed to operate as a hotel? Place is under active construction. You will hear the noise of the construction throughout the day and on Saturday morning at 7 am when you are trying to sleep. There is water coming from power window washing and you get wet coming in and out of the hotel. There is strong smell of fresh paint. The room assigned to us had not been cleaned and disinfected. The blankets were dirty with stains of urine and hair on the bed. The construction staff all men from third world countries stare at women, not familiar perhaps to seeing women renting hotels by themselves or traveling alone. The only positive thing is the location but there are many other hotels in the same area so don’t rent here.

The heater was set to where you couldn't raise the temperature, i was cold the whole stay, and the parking is made for compact to small cars. Large cars gets a little risky and can get hit by another car

Wouldn't hurt to wipe the surrounding areas in lobby for dust. Putting a sign on other door to use other door would be helpful. Staff not friendly at all, try smiling and saying hello.Sad, because location isn't bad for visit to Huntington and some fun restuarants

Went here for my 2nd anniversary with my girlfriend and it was a nice quiet and cozy. Recommend highly for anyone looking to get away for a night or more

Rooms were not even in a fair condition. Dressers were broken, carpets were filthy and to top everything off the bed sheets had food crumbs in between along with a big yellow stain. Even when we asked for new bed sheets they smelled old and dirty. The bathroom also had a moldy smell to it. We ended up rebooking with another hotel after a few hours of staying at Rodeway Inn & Suites because it just was not sanitary. Overall, we were really disappointed.

Hotel put us in a room next to the "construction zone" even though there were other empty rooms available. Morning noise was not acceptable. Room was dispointing to begin with.

Overall a nice place to stay, very comfortable beds and the shutters on the windows were a nice touch. Jacuzzi was clean and worked perfectly for relaxing with my girlfriend. Only complaints are the conditions of the carpet in the hallway and stairs, very dirty and stained. Also, the number of shady homeless and druggies lurking outside of the property, which isn’t necessarily the hotels fault but very off putting. Overall a solid 8/10

When I arrived I had to leave a cash $100 deposit, the 1st room they assigned me, the AC and TV would not work. Took 2 more hours until given a different room the had hair in the sink & shower. Had to pay for ice at the ice machine in the garage below.
