There was no parking for us while traveling with a U-Haul trailer. We had to park blocks away and were worried about our belongings. Our room was not cleaned, the bathroom was dirty, there were no towels so we couldn’t shower.

Pleasantly surprised. A great price. Safe place to park. Room had all the normal amenities and the shower has soap with shampoo and conditioner on the wall that you squeeze from a bottle. Good WiFi. Breakfast in the morning had cooked individual eggs, sausage, and tater tots. Also waffles and cereal along with yogurt. Consider considering the price it was more than I expected, and it was a nice area to eat in the morning.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was sufficient. The area is a bit dated and parking spaces are narrow. Our carpet was needing attention in our room. The room was clean otherwise.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff was friendly and worked efficiently to give good customer service. The breakfast was great! The attendant who works the breakfast are is very nice and helpful. She keeps the food fully stocked and clean. The TV took a minute for me to figure out how to use when it came to picking what I what show I wanted to watch, but I seen the laminated channel guide, and then I figured out that I can just type in the number of the channel and see what is on. So the TV was fine, but I would've liked an easier way to scan the channels to see what shows are on. The pool was nice. I would suggest them to remodel the hot tub with a paint job.I'd definitely return there. The staff customer service, the cleanliness of the rooms by the housekeeping staff, the pool, the breakfast, and the location close to the mall are all reasons why I'd choose to return to this hotel.

The staff were very pleasant and easy to talk to. I got a suite that wasn’t truly a suite….its a 2 bed room just rearranged differently…the bathroom is in the middle which is so small the door comes exactly to the toilet seat when opened. The room smelled like musty plaster and there was a drink in the fridge from the guest before us. The chairs that were in the room were stained as well. Saturday night I called the front desk to borrow a vacuum because we got sand everywhere and the front desk said “we’re not a 24 hour facility” and told me housekeeping would take care of the next day. If you don’t care about any of this then this is the place for you

I am traveling and the night I checked in, there was a staff member by the name of Jose l, his kindness and customer empathy was top notch. He put the customer first! I will never forget this wonderful hotel. You do get the royal treatment. It’s quiet, safe, 24/7 surveillance… which is lovely. Breakfast. Great stay. And it’s quiet. ☀️

The room was clean, front desk staff welcoming. On Saturday night I called and asked for toilet paper and Kleenex. They said I needed to come to front desk to get items. I had just showered and was in pajamas. They never came with my items. I had to use my own Kleenex as toilet paper. I picked up items on Sunday morning myself after breakfast.

Breakfast area is a bit cramped. Walls to the room seemed to be thin as we could hear people talking middle of night and it sounded like someone above us was stomping when they were just walking around. Front door didn’t seal the greatest so you could hear air coming through the door Overall a decent spot to stay but a few things that stopped it from being 5*

The room was poor quality, noisy fridge and freeway noise, led lights from microwave directed at the bed. Not enough blankets for sleeping. This room was small for a suite. Poor location. Third floor, far away from elevator. I'm a senior, could have used an easier experience. Breakfast was poor quality. Not healthy options. Hot fresh oatmeal with fresh berries would be great, hot water kettle for tea would be good too.

I booked this stay through Hotels.com, and the entire process was incredibly easy and straightforward. The site made it simple to compare options, and the price I secured for the area was very reasonable. For Pasadena, especially near Lotus and Colorado, it felt like a solid deal for what was offered. I stayed at the Best Western Pasadena Royale Inn & Suites, and upon check-in, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was. The bed was extremely comfortable, which is a big deal for me. The room included all the basic amenities you’d expect—coffee, soaps, an ice bucket, refrigerator, microwave, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Everything was clean and well-organized. The elevator also made access to the room quick and convenient. There were just a couple minor issues. The TV remote was a bit frustrating to figure out, and navigating channels wasn’t very intuitive. The shower water pressure could have been stronger, and the bathtub floor felt slightly soft—almost like walking on a water bed—which seemed like it may need some repair over time. That said, the continental breakfast truly stood out. Belgian waffles, eggs, sausage, fruit, milk, orange juice, and coffee—it was impressive and exceeded expectations. The staff was also incredibly friendly and accommodating. I requested a late checkout, and the fee to extend until 1:30 PM was only $35, which is very reasonable compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at that charge $100 or more. Overall, a good stay.

Love this place!! My first stay here and it was so nice and clean. I could’ve stayed here all weekend and been very happy. I will definitely come back and stay again.

Great budget friendly hotel in East Pasadena. Clean, quiet, free breakfast, plenty of parking. I've stayed here a few times as a solo traveler and never had a bad experience.

Exceptionally nice front desk staff. Clean pool, hot tub and many channels on TV. For the price I highly recommend.

Emmanuel at front desk is an absolute SUPERSTAR. Here for medical emergency with loved one at City of Hope and had snafu with payment. He was kind and super helpful. EXCELLENT breakfast for a budget hotel. Very comfortable bed, clean room, fridge and microwave help keep expenses down, hotel has guest laundry. Pool and hot tub looked nice. I'd stay here again with no hesitation. Single woman and I felt safe.

We were in a second floor room way in the back. We requested a quiet room and this was very quiet. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The staff was nice.

Very enjoyable stopover on a long road trip from Scottsdale to San Francisco. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped and the continental buffet breakfast was one of the best I've had in a medium priced hotel. There was no noise and, while the location wasn't high end, I felt totally safe walking around. (There is a Sprouts across the street which was handy for buying food for the next day's journey.) My only gripe - and it's very minor - is that the courtyard parking spaces were a little narrow.

The room smelled stale with a hint of old smoke. Aside from that it was comfortable.

Room was affordable but very clean. No weird smells, bathroom was spotless. Beds were comfortable and area was quiet. Staff was friendly. Showerheads could be better but all in all great place to stay.

This “motel” was nothing like the pictures. The carpet was absolutely filthy along with the dirty chairs I had to put a towel in to be seated. Void of amenities, I had to beg for the extra cheap toilet paper and tiny piece of hand soap from the maid. There was not even any bottled water to use with the unsanitized coffee maker. Nor is there a swimming pool that is lavishly shown in some of the pictures. Any favorable ratings for this overpriced “roof over your head only” are obviously fake. 2 out of 10 stars or 1 out of 5

The room was well cleaned, equipped and orderly. It was spacious and felt like home away from home. Breakfast saved us so much time and saved us money. There was a nice variety of options for food and beverages. I can’t stress enough how kind staff was and how clean this location is. We will return.

The breakfast is very good. Scrambled egg, pan cakes, cereals, fruits, muffins and other misc. Juices are there, but they can be of better quality. Didnt check for meat options. Overall its hot breakfast with continental selection of options and they are filling it fast.

It was okay. The room overall looked pretty clean. I will say it doesn't look like the best neighborhood/location. The people around the neighborhood look questionable.

Break has really become bla no more hot oat meal,peanut butter,cheap little danish,hot tea varieties,sugar free syrup. Cheapest little plastic silverware ( hard to even cut a waffle). Worst of any Best Western or any hotel chain. Great staff,especially young man at front desk.

This hotel used to be my go to when I visit Pasadena. But, when I visited this time, their pool and Jacuzzi were down. And I was out in a very dated room. Given the same charge, it was a disappointing experience. I'm debating if I'll come back again.

Front desk staff are very welcoming and responsive to customer's needs. That's rare these days and much appreciated.

Good basic room. Just an overnight stay. Room is moderate size but adequate. bathroom was large but basic. Nothing luxurious but good standard room. One plus was a ceiling light fixture that lit up the room with one flick of a switch. Thought California had outlawed the little shampoo/conditioner amenities but they had them. Only one small bar of soap and two sets of towels in the room. Many rooms have the under window A/C units, this one was quiet.

Breakfast was nice. Reception staff were good but knowledge of the area depended who was on duty. I asked for my room to be cleaned every other day. They asked if I wanted it done the first morning and I said no, they came in the next day. I was there for 6 nights and it was only cleaned once. Overall friendly and nice staff and not a bad place to stay.

It was clean enough, but it was an older hotel and there was nothing to brag about. If you want strictly a bed and bath, you’re good. If you want a little bit of special stuff,you are not going to be happy here.

The AC was loud. The shower head was slow. The surrounding is loud.

Rooms have a foul, musty odor. Tubs all get clogged when you shower. Outdated rooms, Located in a high traffic area. No room service. Called front desk at 9pm about clogged bathtub and was told maintenance is off on weekends so nothing could be done until Monday. Pool area is dirty, pool area and furniture looked like it gets cleaned once a year. Much nicer cleaner hotels for just a few bucks more, save yourself the stress and book the nicer place. I only stayed here bc the room was a little bit bigger for 3 adults and a child.

Several parking places were taken up by a street cleaning machine park there as well as a trailer. Parking for guests was very inadequate and certainly not guaranteed.

Stay was really nice some hair was left in the bathroom from whomever stayed there before and the water on the night before didn't get warm. Otherwise people were really kind and respectful room was comfortable.

The staff had a great attitude and there was plenty of parking for large vehicles. My room had a refrigerator in a microwave. I know that cost more in the rate. Just a small sidenote : it would be nice to start breakfast earlier than 7 AM. Many of us early risers need to be at work at 7 AM. Thank you for the stay.!

I stayed at the suite king room. It is very spacious with a living room and the bedroom is on a different side of the whole room. Breakfast was hot and well sorted.

I have stayed at this property for years. It’s aging and needs fine tuned. It must have sold again . Young man at check in was very abrupt ( I believe a family member) never offered waters or anything. Refused allowing use of restroom. I’ve used it many times over the years after four hours on the highway. ETC. They have lost my business.

Over the last 20 years, I have averaged over 50 nights a year in hotel rooms. This was the first hotel room that was actually dark and quiet! That and cleanliness are what I look for. Great place to sleep.

It was okay.

There are two best westerns right next-door to each other and this is definitely the better of the two. That being said, the elevator was out of order and we had a room on the third floor. The walls are thin and you can definitely hear your neighbors. The coffee maker in our room didn’t work. The breakfast was edible, but I wouldn’t say delicious…. Overall, our room was moderately clean, but I definitely kept my socks on.

The room had a very unpleasant smell kinda like urine. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet seat wobbly ( the latches that’s supposed to hold the seat had been removed). We booked a room for 4 people knowing two would sleep on the pull out sofa. There was not enough bedding or pillows. Only two towels in the room ant check in and front desk did not have any others to send up until the next day. Bathroom amenities were empty or missing. Room could have been a lot cleaner and the pool was very dirty.

Although I have best Western membership, there was an argument or giving me points because I reserve the room via Expedia. I must have gotten the last room because it was a handicap person‘s room. The television didn’t work properly because he couldn’t figure out how to select the channels. The shower was one of those handheld things that didn’t give out much of a spray. And asked what restaurants nearby the attendant could only name one: a Mexican place. I come from San Diego. I’m inundated with Mexican restaurants in my neighborhood. I didn’t need one here. Other than that he had no suggestions.

I come to Pasadena at least once a year and have stayed at a different hotel each time. Now I have found the one hotel that meets all my needs! Thanking everyone who contributed to my comfort with excellence!

Breakfast was cereal, muffins, a waffle station with warm sausage. There were apples and banana, and yogurt in a small fridge. Lots of hot drink and juice options. It was ok to get us going in the morning. Our overall stay was nice. The neighborhood is quiet at night so we slept well. I’d stay here again.

Amazing stay. I loved the cleanliness of the room. My son and I slept so peacefully. We bit enjoyed the breakfast in the morning the waffle maker was our favorite part. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Quiet&clean. Pillows were not the best. We would stay again, but bring our own Pillows.

The sitting chair in our room was full of black stains, could not regulate the shower to take a warm shower.

Room was very clean, however was very impressed with the service. The female associate at the front desk Thursday evening on October 10 and the male associate overnight and the male associate morning of October 11 gave excellent customer service.

Great location for eateries & shops, only 20 mins drive to Universal studios.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Seamless check in and out. What I disliked was the paper thin walls. I could hear the neighbor snoring so loudly , I even thought about moving the bed to the opposite wall but didn’t. The noise from the surrounding streets and traffic was so loud with the walls. I could hear EVERYTHING that happened near my room. I could not fall asleep until 4 AM. This was an unfortunate situation for me since I had to take an exam the very next day.

The property itself is fine, nothing fancy but clean and convenient. The area around the hotel is not the best part of town. The breakfast was not sufficient with very few options to choose from.
