Tania was available to check us in and she was wonderful! Friendly, courteous and offered a upgrade option for our current room to spa at a reasonable price!

Hotel Managers Kind people. I always feel safe here. Well lit, clean and safe. Great value, great location. Good parking. Just a slight request, it would be great if you would spray just a bit less of the air freshener. That being said, glad you are even adding air freshener. A lot of other hotels of this category don't. Appreciate all that you do to make this a nice hotel.

Always a great get away place to relax and unwind. Never too noisy always clean and the retro rooms are great The refrigerator did not work too well. The Jacuzzi room I stayed in was nice but was sub par to the other one they have and both are the same price

This motel was spectacular. It looked like it had been newly renovated, and it was very stylish and clean. The beds were comfortable. The parking was free and the staff was spectacular as well would stay again.

It was clean, neat, and had a lot of drawer and closet space. We were there for our daughter's graduation, so I used every hanger! The owners are kind and accommodating, and property is small, so there's an uncrowded feel to it. I appreciated the roomy bathroom. We also had clean towels and a freshly made bed every day when we returned from our activities, which kept everything neat and made us feel well cared for. Price was good! It would be helpful if the bathroom had towel bars, and there is plenty of wall space for them. Friday morning traffic was noisy for me, but my husband slept through it.

We were genuinely impressed for what this property is. You can tell the owners take pride in maintaining it. The atmosphere was quiet, the room was clean and smelled fresh, and overall it was a comfortable stay. We were very happy staying here and would definitely return.

My husband and I were very happy with the property, the room (so cute!), and the staff!

The check in process was quick and easy, the room was reasonably clean, all hotel amenities were in good functioning order and the bathroom was clearly recently updated and remodeled!

Property isn’t what the photos depict. It’s not in a good area, with homeless loitering in the parking lot. I felt so unsafe! The rooms are motel quality at best. I will never stay there again.
- 5/5
Air conditioning worked well, small parking lot though.
- 5/5
Yes, air conditioning was good. Parking is ok, if you get there after 8pm, you'll have to park in the street.
- 5/5
Great location for getting to old town Pasadena. East access to freeways to get to LA and other parts of the southland. Only downside is the small parking lot that can fill up quickly.
- 5/5
Great little stay away from the downtown area. Great parking and service.
- 5/5
Excellent stay

Best budget hotel I’ve stayed in in years
- 3/5
it’s a nice “hotel”,, but staff has minimal customer service

Staff courteous. Room was fine.
- 5/5
Like always clean room and friendly stuff
- 5/5
Helpful staff clean and good location for Rose Bowl and parade
- 4/5
It was clean, convenient, and everything worked. The only thing is the shower had no water pressure.
- 5/5
Great place
- 3/5
Shower lacked shampoo, overall decor is dated with bad lighting.
- 2/5
The room was clean, too clean because I smelled like the chemicals used to clean it after leaving there. Not in the best area. A little scary at night with the people walking around staring at us and our car. Not trying to be mean, but this want the stay that I expected. We left early.
- 5/5
Room is not 100%, but it's still good
- 5/5
Room was really nice. Enjoyed my time. Staff was also very friendly.

- 5/5
This is my second time staying at Astro Pasadena. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom was huge and very comfortable and convenient. I absolutely love travelling to LA, and while downtown LA may be about 40 minutes drive (depending on traffic), Astro Pasadena is incredibly convenient as it’s a very safe area which is nice and quiet with a lot of places of convenience nearby. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating, and I really do tip my hat to them for their kindness and efficiency. I literally couldn’t say a bad word about this place.
- 3/5
The room has a strange smell and we have to open the window to ventilate for a while. In the addition, the bathroom drain is not smooth.
- 5/5
A pleasant place to stay with fun decor.
- 5/5
Comfortable beds; nice large shower and retro decor. Parking is a little suspect.
- 5/5
Staff is very friendly , room was very clean and there is all kinds of shop near by here
- 5/5
Staff/owners were very nice and accommodating. The rooms were decently sized and very comfortable!
- 3/5
The shampoo dispensers were empty. The location was very to close to where I need to be. For short stay, it’s ok
- 5/5
I love mid century modern hotels and this was perfect. It was even better being on the legendary Route 66.
- 5/5
In a good area, close to metro and bus stops, quality matches cost, I would stay here again.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Easy check in/check out, attentive to needs(coffee, new hair dryer, etc), very friendly, comfortable bed, clean nice room. Would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
The room was clean and tidy. The bed was really comfy and the pillows were the best we’ve had at any hotel. Downside was that the cover over the light switch in the bathroom fell off very easily and there was a weird smell from the air con. Overall though, the hotel was good.
- 1/5
Dirty sheets
- 5/5
The two hanging chairs in the lobby were fun to sit in . I will definitely be back, the owner was very nice and smooth transaction. Thank you Astro Hotel!
- 3/5
Love the chairs and lights in the office. This is my 2nd stay in the same room in the last 3 years. We were in the jacuzzi room and it's nicely decorated. The red accents throughout and led lights in spots is great. The room has a nice retro fridge that's always cold along with a microwave. The negatives to this stay is the front office clerk. She was friendly but seemed a little put out that she had to check us in. Also the handheld shower head is still broke in the same spot it was from my last stay. Other then that I probably would stay somewhere else the next trip only because the excitement of the room has worn off. Oh, 1 more thing.. if you're planning to take a bath you'll need at least 40 minutes for it to get full but it's worth it
- 5/5
Comfortable, updated, clean
- 1/5
There are no desk lights so you need to have ceiling lights on. The air conditioning is so loud I could not sleep.
- 3/5
I do not like condition of bathroom
- 5/5
Good experience
- 3/5
I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past. The decor has been very "cute" with the Astro name and equivalent internal decor. I've seen the customer service, and the cleanliness decline over the past years. There were, now only overhead lighting--with no lighting at the bedside. The bathroom also only had overhead lights--nothing for the woman to put make-up on, one-ply toilet paper of which I purchased a good toilet paper. I went throughout the room, using Clorox wipes, which included the bathroom door, which was definitely dirty. It's sad to see this cutesy hotel go downhill--in what seems like the managers are looking to cut costs as much as humanly possible; but unfortunately, it's become a wonderful/cute hotel that I will no longer use for my Los Angeles visits.
- 4/5
Was there for one night. Price was great, though it said hotel, but seemed like it was clearly a motel
- 3/5
Looks nicer in photos
- 4/5
Property has a good location - close drive to restaurants and shopping. Room was good size and clean. The bathroom door had some dirty fingerprints on it and a bit of mildew in the shower. Front desk was not the friendliest we have encountered.
- 5/5
Great value
- 5/5
It was chill but tight parking space
- 5/5
The lady at the front office is really nice and helpful, very welcoming.
- 5/5
Nice little hotel for a couples getaway
- 4/5
Change room with only an email noticed
- 3/5
The sheets and softness of the bed were unsatisfactory
- 5/5
Towelbars/hooks- this is something the hotel could add that would really help Kleenex Otherwise, it is solid.
- 5/5
The color coordination way very cool
- 2/5
See my other review. Would not recommend to anyone unless it's the last option.
- 2/5
I stayed two weekends in a row for conventions and I would not stay here again. The carpets in the rooms were dirty and the sheets were stained. The walls were paper thin so you could hear every conversation happening in other rooms. The second room I was in had a door with big gaps around the edges, letting in a lot of light, sound, and outside temperatures. Definitely not a place I'd recommend.
- 5/5
Clever. They take an old beat up motel and make you feel like you’re in a space ship. It’s almost like Vegas. Each hotel is just a casino, the rest is facade. This place, just an old motel from the 60s but they’ve pumped a lot of clever into it. It’s always clean and the showers are walk in!
- 3/5
Recent remodeling in a mid century modern style made the room itself very nice. It was clean, too. The only knock on the place is that it is very basic....no amenities, just your room....if you need anything more, or extra attention, then it may not be for you. But for two nights to be in town for a nearby wedding or event and just needing a decently priced and clean, basic motel, it was totally fine.
- 4/5
Retro style motel. Rooms are clean and seem recently renovated. Room has refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave. Staff was attentive and friendly.
- 4/5
I will definitely stay again. Jetted tub was fantastic!
- 4/5
Property was average for motel. I checked in after 5pm after a long day at work got to my room which had zero bath towels. The lady at desk had the audacity to ask me "are u sure?" When all I wanted was to shower, eat and sleep. She came to my room to deliver the towels which were hard as a rock and bare thin. The shower amenities were full but did not dispense more than one single drop with each pump. Other than that the ac unit was loud enough to drown out ppl shouting or fighting not sure which around 1am.

See stars
- 5/5
Was nice and relaxing place I love it
- 4/5
When we arrived at the hotel there was very limited space in the parking area and the check-in felt very sterile I wouldn’t say unpleasant but not very friendly or inviting. When we walked into the room there was an overpowering scent of Fabuloso cleaner of sorts which took a few hours to clear out of the room with the window and door open. But overall are stay was pleasant and comfortable.
- 5/5
GREAT place!
- 3/5
Inexpensive motor inn nothing else
- 5/5
Great room , clean and very comfortable bed !
- 1/5
Literally a dirty, scummy place to stay.
- 5/5
It was good, looked newly renovated
- 4/5
Place was fine for a business trip... room smelled strongly of cleaning agents but after a day the small was more musky...
- 4/5
Got what I paid for.
- 3/5
The Astro was an ok place for a "home base" while I was out for most of the day during my recent trip, but I would not personally stay here again. The bedsheets and chairs had numerous stains on them, there was not any shampoo or conditioner in the shower, and the room smelled very strongly of cleaning supplies on the first two days and marijuana smoke on the last day (I do not smoke, so that was particularly bothersome for me). Some of the other guests were also very disruptive, and there were several instances of strangers either knocking on my room door in the middle of the night or yelling/laughing very loudly through the thin walls and keeping me up. The price per night was low, but I do not think it was worth the issues that I had while staying there, unfortunately.
- 1/5
The hotel bans you from having a single visitor in your room. Ridiculous for normal guests but guessing its to keep prostitution and partying to a minimum. Won't stay there again
- 3/5
Room was okay for the night, the room was kind of an eyesore. It was a okay stay for 1 night but I wouldn’t stay longer. Room looks recently renovated but looks beat. Okay price
- 3/5
Walls seemed hollow or thinner than expected. We could her the next room television all night. Room was clean, remodeled and updated. No lights next to the beds.
- 5/5
Amazing stay! Amazing jacuzzi tub!
- 4/5
Decorated in mid century modern style, including the logo cast into the small parking lot. Somewhat noisy at times, but perfectly fine for a weekend stay in Pasadena.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The room was clean and a nice area surrounding the hotel. Places to eat and shopping all within walking distance. The area was safe. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Super quiet, perfect for a good night’s sleep.
- 5/5
This place is very nice! Hosts were great. Room was large, table and chairs, desk and chairs. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker. It was fantastic. Would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
The hotel was actually very nice and comfortable to and I loved the style of the room too I guess the only issue I had was once or twice we heard cars racing down the street but aside reform that good experience
- 5/5
Enjoyed it
- 1/5
The room smelled so bad. The sheets were dirty. I took a shower only to find out the conditioner was totally empty. With a towel only on I called front desk and complained and to their credit someone came to door and brought conditioner. This place just gave me the heebie jeebies so I left.
- 3/5
The room was clean. The sink was slow and they did take care of it when I asked. The sink faucet was loose. That was not tightened. Biggest complaint is that the parking lot was always full and every night we had to park on the street.
- 3/5
A bit rough looking on the outside but clean and sort of cool on the inside. Retro looking and clean all around inside. Nice staff that were responsive to any issues that we had.
- 4/5
The remodeling is nice.
- 1/5
Had to ask for toilet paper. Bed was comfortable. Made a mistake reserving because of autofill and booked the room for the wrong date. Cant get my money back. Will dispute with the cc company.

Great
- 5/5
I fell sefe there ..

Hotel located in a quiet and safe area . Bed comfortable. Rom and bathroom size more than standard . Basic and clean room. Parking ok.
- 5/5
I've always wanted to stay here and when going to the Rose Bowl i finally got my opportunity. Very cool place to stay looks like an old school 80's motel but rooms are updated in a modern style i really like. My flight arrived early so i asked if i coukd get an early check in. My room wasnt ready yet but the front desk said give them 30 minutes then they'd be happy to check me in. Rooms are comfortable with coffee maker and mjni fridge. Close to tge downtown area where all of the action is. I'll definitely stay again if I'm in the area.
- 3/5
Overall clean, with fine facilities. Bed and bedding were not terribly comfortable.
- 5/5
Great customer service! The location was less than a mile walk to the Rose Bowl Parade. The room we stayed in was very nice, clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay and like the decorations. I will spend time at this location again.
- 5/5
The staff is always hospitable and the rooms suit us for business and personal travel
- 5/5
I'm local but I stay here from time to time (romance suite) self care, and mental health break, because it has the jet tub, and rain shower. it is always clean. atmosphere is quiet, and I can soak for hours in the huge jet tub. while watching movies or listening to music. Its so sad when I have to leave..
- 3/5
Room was okay but a little run down compared to the other rooms. For example, sink was clogged and the front door was heavy and dragged across the carpeting. There was some obvious damage or wear on walls and bathroom. The staff were nice but it’s unfortunate that not all rooms are equal in quality.
- 4/5
I will stay again
- 2/5
Not clean for the bed
- 5/5
We went to visit family in Los Angeles and we found this hotel and loved it! We like the retro throwback to the 50s space era.
- 5/5
Nice place clean good definitely come back again
- 5/5
Great value! Wonderful renovation of an older hotel built along historic Route 66. Would definitely stay again!
- 4/5
I love the furniture!
- 1/5
There was hair in the bed. I went to front desk to let the hotel know what I found. The front desk lady just gave me some sheets and asked me to change the sheets myself. Her attitude was also extremely unprofessional.
- 5/5
good hotel
- 5/5
Love this place
- 4/5
It was a very clean and simple room. The walls are a little thin, but it was otherwise very nice for the price.
- 4/5
Not a bad place at all. A rejuvenated motel with a Jetson-esque vibe!!!
- 1/5
My wallet was stolen this summer, but I had a DMV temporary no picture document. Yet they wouldn't let me stay there!! My picture is on the back of my Costco credit card and still axed!! I'm cancelling my other nights there!!!!!!,

Nice and comfortable stay
- 5/5
It is a good bargain for a one night overnight, have stayed there before
- 4/5
Stay was okay. Basic amenities.
- 4/5
Good motel in Pasadena that is close to major landmarks (city hall, Paseo mall, shops, etc). Simple amenities. Wet bathroom without tub (just shower head).
- 4/5
The bathroom wasn't that clean and the shower wasn't safe
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 2/5
The walls are paper thin! Did not sleep 1 minute after the couple in the room next to us came in (around 3am) and had the best night of their lives. Good for them, I guess :)
- 2/5
There are alots of hair(or some kind of hair looks like)on pillow and each towels…I hope they washed them ..That’s gross
- 5/5
Comfortable
- 5/5
great
- 4/5
the hotel was nice location is so so the water that comes out of the tap is terrible
- 5/5
I have stayed several times. Each time the rooms are clean, quiet, centrally located in Pasadena (food, shopping, entertainment) is close by. Rooms are inexpensive but good.
- 5/5
Property was amazing! Great location.
- 5/5
A nicely decorated room with a great shower. The beds are comfy. The rooms have a fridge and microwave, with a coffee maker, iron and board. Very good indeed. Due to the size of the place, there is no pool or laundry. There is a laundromat a block away, and on the way there is somewhere to eat, a bar, a 7-11 and the bus stops to the metro or down town in 30 minutes.
- 5/5
Great value
- 4/5
Good but parking needs improvement
- 4/5
all is good but walls are thin.
