The unit was wonderful. It was very clean and spacious. The staff were very nice and very helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

From the moment we arrived we were impressed. Friendly staff. Spacious room with comfortable furniture. Bathroom was well appointed. We enjoyed sitting on our patio listening to birds while drinking our morning coffee. Dinner at Lons was spectacular--both food and setting. Live music was perfect. Pool area was cozy and uncrowded, with attentive beverage service. We loved everything about the property and surrounding area. Will be back!

Traditional adobe style architecture gives this quaint inn its charm. Beautiful, quiet grounds and cookie every day at 4 pm make this a five star stay.

Bed sheets could be softer but everything else was excellent especially the people and service. Lons restaurant was also very good.

The staff at Lon's were clueless on the Wine Dinner the evening of 4/16. Had to speak to several people to figure out where we were to go. There was a plastic spoon sitting outside our room for our entire stay.

Grounds are beautiful and relaxing. The food at Lon's was delicious and the vibe was exactly what we were looking for - cozy and intimate.

An extremely small nit, and perhaps it was an exhausted housekeeper, but I put the "do not replace" sign on my bed for keeping the same sheets and housekeeping honored that but did not make up the bed, but left it tousled. Not a biggie, but a made up bed would have been welcome. other than that they did a great job.

Gorgeous well established landscaping and grounds. We really enjoyed the feeling of privacy and the lower room count. The pool isn’t very big, so when there are small children it can feel like everyone is on top of each other. The only missing amenity would be an in room refreshments/mini bar.

From the moment you drive up to The Hermosa Inn it feels like a movie -- the entrance is utterly beautiful, charming and welcoming. Check in is seamless and personalized. The casita is gorgeous with so many detailed touches which makes the whole stay feel luxurious. Love the pool and we enjoyed the food, excellent wine and cocktail menu at Lon's. If contemplating staying, just do it. Hope to be back.

I loved the grounds - the gardens, fountains, and fire pits were lovely! Nice touches of cookies in the afternoon and muffins in the morning. The pool was calm and never crowded. The deluxe casita had a lovely bathtub and fireplace. The owner introduced himself to us and that was very cool! The bed was very firm. I requested a mattress topper but was told the only 2 they had were both in use. They should invest in better beds or more toppers as well as king sized pillows and pillow options. Keurigs should be replaced with nespresso for a more upscale feel. The shower at the pool area needs fixing. The shower in our room (108) didn’t get hot - I think the fixtures need to be replaced so it corresponds with the water temp. The food and service at the restaurant was just ok. Overall, this was a good property but there’s SO much potential for it to be great with a few changes.

Property grounds are magnificent and upkeep is obvious. Feels like a tropical paradise right in the desert while preserving the desert flora. Room was tucked away but did face other patios of units. Fortunately, no one was out on their patio when we were, so was very private. Original design elements in the unit such as cathedral hardwood ceilings with skylight (had filtered shade on it), saltillo tile floors, french doors to patio were so beautiful. The unit preserved the feel of the old Southwest, but was updated with modern and spacious shower and plush robes, so had a spa feel. Very large mini fridge in closet which was very nice, and a safe for valuables. Furniture in room was quality - leather chairs, wood poster bed. Everything showed attention to detail and was relaxing and welcoming. There is a step down (1 step) from entryway and bathroom leading to the main bedroom that has a nightlight but can be hard to miss if you come in carrying things. Perhaps put a handrail or something there.

Quaint experience, friendly staff, heated pool. Loved having Lon’s on site. Loved the little touches like muffins & cookies in the main building. Oh and complimentary water was so appreciated.

A first class experience all round!!

The areas lacking attention were cleanliness of the room (rug) and the bar. The cold water in 132 did not work and the furnishings were run down and dusty in the bar area.

We didn't have a chance to eat at the restaurant but would expect to next trip. If I were to be critical, it would be great to have a little more lighting to determine that casita we were in as we arrived late and it was a bit difficult the first time. We will definitely return!

Jennifer was amazing. She was at that time the restaurant manager. A couple of glitches happened during our first evening at the restaurant but Jennifer made everything right and went out of her way to make us feel special and cared for. Above and beyond really. Couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Adored the Hermosa. The facility, the staff, the food, the history, the grounds. Came to Scottsdale to visit family, but would have happily just stayed at the Hermosa all day!

The Inn in smaller with wonderful casitas and lovely fireplaces. The grounds are beautiful with access the everything! The pool and jacuzzi are open 24 hours a day! Our stay was wonderful!

This resort has perfected hospitality! Really enjoyed the morning muffins and apples offered in the lobby and the afternoon treat. By far the BEST experience! Arriving the valet guy (even tho I wasn't using it) offered help, as I entered the amazingly cozy, authentic looking lobby with my dog the desk person brought bottled waters for us pouring water in a bowl and offeringtwo doggy bones for her also. Check in was smooth! Everything explained (location of things etc) AND although a few hours early for check in I was given access to my room and given one right next to the doggy area to make access easy for us. This area being a grassy area w/bags provided, and wild bunnies, nice! The rooms have nice front private patios with table/chairs. There are plants, flower bushes and beautiful trees all around the property. A true paradise feeling!! Then we entered the room, WOW! This casita was beautiful! There was soft music playing, large swivel flat screen tv, fireplace, wood shutters on the wall of Windows that darkened the room nicely for sleep, dresser w/cabinet hiding a sm fridge, kureg coffee machine/coffee etc furnished, real coffee mugs/glasses. Under the front Windows are two comfy chairs w/small table. The 4 poster king bed was super comfortable! The bathroom has a super lg shower w/bench seat,a rainfall showerhead as well as regular. Full size shampoo etc, robes in closet, iron board/ safe. Toilet in its own room. The grounds have wood bridges, a pool, full restaurant, bus room/more. I can't say enough! I will definitly be back!! I'll recommend this to everyone. Treat yourself to a dream, refreshing!

We loved the large leather chairs in front of the fireplace - we could have sat there all night. We ate at Lons one night and it was fabulous. Very good hotel, comfortable, good accommodation, service good if sometimes slow. Great location set in lovely garden. Some staff rather pretentious but still helpful. Didn’t expect mosquitoes in desert but got badly bitten in garden despite sun cream containing insect repellent.

While the cab driver didn't know the hotel, it has apparently been a hidden gem in Paradise Valley. The woman at the front desk (Vanita?)was very welcoming and led me to my room. Thanks!

This is a beautiful "old Arizona" inn which is charming and gracious in every aspect. It is small and intimate, in a largely residential area that makes for some beautiful walks. I have wanted to stay here for years, since I moved away from Arizona, and finally did. It didn't disappoint one bit!

The Hermosa is exquisite. The grand casita was magnifita, though ours was far the from the nicest patio. It is lush, colorful foliage in the midst of, well, the desert. Our suite was expansive and high end. We did not take advantage of the dining. I had breakfast once before and loved it. It took two calls to get the coffee stocked, once with regular coffee, the second time with creamer. I had to ask for an extra bar of mini soap so my son and I didn't have to drag the one back and forth from the bath to the shower. Lovely as the array of gel-shampoo-conditioner was I would have liked a second too, one for each. Justin especially nice at the valet. Some were, some less so. Front desk check and during the stay (Jean) were lovely. Checkout less so. The man didn't seem to understand why we were rushing (flight) and wasn't as gracious as he could have been.

We only stayed 1 night as a layover before traveling to Vancouver. The hotel experience was wonderful and the restaurant was exceptional as well. It is only a short 15-20 minutes to the airport so it was perfect for our stay.

Amazing location. Service oriented. One of our party was sick so they managed an early checkin. Lon's the resort restaurant was incredible on all accounts - food ambiance and service. They did have a little trouble servicing our room. However they did make it right by removing the resort fee.

We were looking for a quiet hotel experience that offered a small number of rooms. This was perfect for us.

I have been staying at the Hermosa Inn for years and while many things have changed, expansions, new owners, etc. what doesn’t change is their commitment to excellence. The rooms are immaculate, well-appointed and reflect the beautiful history that is unique to Hermosa Inn and it’s original owner and cowboy artist Lon Megargee. If you are looking for a boutique hideaway in beautiful Paradise Valley I highly recommend staying at the Hermosa Inn.

We stayed here for my husbands birthday and it was perfect. The deluxe casita is luxurious and romantic. The grounds are gorgeous and the food and patio are perfect

Hotel is charming and very nice. Lovely and romantic. Want to come back with my wife to enjoy together. But the food at evening meal could not have been worse. Seafood special was supposed to be swordfish and it may have been but it want impossible to tell. the fish was cut up and congealed into a ball of steamed tastelessness. Yeck. and the veges with it were cooked so long they were mush. Lots of hype over Lon's but not worth it in my very humble opinion. Eat out if staying here

My wife and I vacationed for a 3-day weekend and this was an excellent location near Scottsdale. The staff was wonderful and made us feel right at home. We had our own little oasis in the desert and enjoyed every moment - including the delightful hummingbirds!

Another great experience at Hermosa Inn. Service is unmatched, the bed is so comfortable and the shower is one of the best I have experienced. The overall atmosphere is relaxing which is very welcome on a business trip. I highly recommend.

I love the Hermosa Inn. Thanks to the special price I received from Hotels.com, I could afford to stay in this luxurious place. A highlight was a hummingbird garden with hummingbirds feeding beside the pool. Also the oatmeal breakfast was unsurpassed! They forgot the bacon in my grilled chicken sandwich the night before and the orange juice tasted more like Tropicana than fresh squeezed as advertised, and was acidic, but a complimentary smoothie by the pool and homemade cookies more that made up for that, although I was surprised by the additional $28 resort fee. I so appreciated all the flowers in bloom - the bouganvillia, the purple blossoms and the yellow blossoms, and the 2 big fountains - truly a paradise! It was off season, and altho' they had 45 chairs and private pagodas all around the pool, I was the only one swimming that morning. I also enjoyed the hot tub. I also should mention the wonderful puff on the bed. so comfortable....slept like a baby. Felt like a princess!

Great hotel hidden away in Paradise Valley. The grounds are beautiful, Lon's Restaurant has great food and one added bonus was good mountain bikes available to guests.

Always so quiet and peaceful. Guaranteed best sleep u will ever have.
