They didn't explicitly say that the breakfast is not included when I asked them. After I started eating, they handed in the check. Feeling scammed

bed was super comfortable. room was located in a quiet area in the building which was what I wanted. I am an early riser and the fitness facility was open 24/7 so I had access when convenient. I could walk to the nearby outside mall or downtown Palo Alto in minutes. one day, privacy tag was ignored.

I enjoyed the properties amenities and comfortable beds/room The price of food/drinks in the property. We were served a half cooked fried chicken sandwich. After getting through half the sandwich realizing the meat was still raw in the middle leading to my partner getting sick. They gave 30% off the meal but I feel they should have taken that meal off completely as he was not able to finish the rest of his food from being disgusted.

Hotel staff (check-in, cleaning staff) were very friendly. They made our visit enjoyable. The staff at the Poolside Grill were exceptionally accommodating. We arrived before closing, yet they greeting us and served us with kindness and patience. The food was delicious. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

I love the bathroom for its cleanliness and functionality. I usually use hand held shower head at home and most hotel don’t have that but here Sheraton hotel has it. So I felt like home. I stayed for BTS concert and at the lobby I saw the decorations for the event. That made me excited and welcomed.

We also had a disappointing experience at the pool area. It was quite chilly, and the heaters and fire pits were out of propane. Since our kids were excited to swim, we asked staff if the heaters could be turned on. We were told they would take care of it, so we ordered food and planned to enjoy the patio restaurant by the pool. However, after 20 minutes, nothing had been done. We asked again and were told maintenance was on the way, though the staff member seemed irritated. After waiting an additional 30 minutes with no update, we followed up once more and were met with further annoyance. By the time maintenance finally arrived, our kids had already gotten out of the pool, and we ended up taking our meals to-go because we were too cold to stay. It was disappointing, especially since we had planned a girls’ weekend and booked multiple rooms specifically to enjoy the pool, outdoor patio, and restaurant. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to fully use those amenities due to the lack of functioning heaters.
- 5/5
Great convenient location to Stanford U. For the price, I would expect more upgrades and renovations. Breakfast was excellent- staff excellent as well.

- 4/5
Great location for events at Stanford. Super helpful staff and great amenities. However, I gave an overall 4 rating because: Parking was sometimes difficult to find because we needed handicap access—and it’s $20 a night extra. Not enough charging stations for electric vehicles. There was only one elevator working our entire 4 night stay. With athletes from different teams staying here as well, getting an elevator was nearly impossible without a 10-15 minute wait. I would think it was important enough to get someone in to fix it in a more timely manner.
- 5/5
Great hotel close to everything love it I have stayed there whenever I need to go to Stanford hospital which is often ❤️
- 5/5
Spacious, great location
- 3/5
when I booked the hotel it was said that parking is free and breakfast is complimentary which was not true as well it says no additional charges and it was tax and hotel fees. It is so misleading
- 5/5
Great location

Public areas felt a bit dated in ways but room was very comfortable. A very well-managed property in a nice location.
- 1/5
Tried to cancel - was on hold for 55 minutes - front desk would not pick up - when it did pick up the call, said could not cancel as it had passed few minutes from deadline to cancel. Awful customer service. Not going to a Sheraton anymore.
- 5/5
The room and facilities were clean. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

- 3/5
The bathroom and bed was the best part of the stay. Staff was friendly bu when checking in the clerk seemed nervous and small things like asking will you need help with your luggage. Would you like a bottled water. etc. I am not sure if there were gym amenities because I was not informed.
- 5/5
Nice clean room with patio. Safe and secure parking lot. Refrigerator and coffee pot in room. Lovely place to stay.
- 5/5
Amazing front desk staff! So welcoming and helpful!
- 4/5
Property is attractive with ample parking shared with the Westin. The room was clean and modern, great mattress and sheets. The downside were the odd clunking noises from the building and a light in the entryway hall that flickered all night despite being off. The noise was probably due the most annoying since the structure just seems to transmit plumbing and other noises a bit more than I’m used to. Overall I’d stay again.
- 4/5
Place was very beautiful and well located
- 5/5
Great staff and a well maintained property.
- 5/5
This hotel property is extremely nice. Very clean, Rooms were perfect. Restaurant on site was very good. Food delicious, service excellent, staff very friendly.

- 5/5
Any Sheraton is always top notch and this one does not disappoint. Beautiful property, great staff and wonderful rooms.
- 5/5
Breakfast Lounge was set up in a conference room! Fountain area under construction too.
- 5/5
Love the location
- 5/5
Very nice room. Clean and well-appointed. We had a toilet issue at 11:00 at night, but they immediately sent up a maintenance person who repaired it in just a few minutes. The room service food was fantastic. Better than anticipated. I would go back to the cafe just for the food. Overall a wonderful experience.

- 5/5
My son was at Stanford Hospital and this was like an 5-10 min drive. I was grateful for how everyone here from check in to breakfast delivered to my room was so pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good and HOT! Room temperature was PERFECT and felt safe!
- 1/5
WiFi was non-existent. Front desk connected me to tech support who couldn’t fix the problem. This is the center of the tech world and they can’t even get the internet connection to work right. Tried to go to bed but the mattelress and pillows were SUPER lumpy and uncomfortable.
- 5/5
The only bad thing was the parking key card not working and I was stuck there for almost 10 minutes trying to get out. They should invest in a better automated system.
- 5/5
Check in was great and was here due to my son was at Stanford hospital solo and felt SAFE! Breakfast was exceptional and service with a smile. Ac/heater kept room comfortable. Shower was nice and hot with pressure ALWAYS a plus
- 4/5
Nice hotel and comfy bed. The only bummer is they decided to start doing construction in the morning so we couldn’t sleep. We come to hotels to sleep in and relax so that was pretty frustrating.
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional!!!
- 5/5
We drove all the way from Riverside to Menlo Park to attend a concert at the Guild Theater featuring Zepparella. We stayed at the Sheraton Palo Alto, which we had booked through Expedia. Our stay was generally positive, except for the $20 parking fee that wasn’t included in our booking.
- 5/5
Clean room, courtesy staff
- 5/5
The kind staff upgraded me when I checked in. Bed and shower were incredible. Tasty french fries. Beautiful view of the creek and the Japanese maples from the window.
- 5/5
The room was clean and my patio was the pool deck. This place is beautiful.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Updated rooms.
- 5/5
Welcome staff and making our long travel stay , thank you for the staff hospitality, room was nice ,
- 5/5
Great little hotel with super friendly staff!
- 3/5
Hotel is in nice condition and is within walking distance to downtown Palo Alto. Problem is that the walls are too thing. I could hear the neighboring guests talking through the walls, and even using the restroom. Which is a huge pet peeve for me!
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful.
- 2/5
I didn’t like trying to find my room got lost and front desk didn’t seem to care
- 5/5
Warm reception by front desk staff. Garrett ? was amazing: helping with wheelchair, suitcases & guidance to parking and room. Clean bathroom, comfortable beds. The poolside grill breakfast was yummy. Great coffee, nice staff. Beautiful garden! Safe environment. Would definitely return.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Breakfast food was ok. Front desk staff was VERY helpful
- 5/5
Rooms were nice, but was noisy, on first floor
- 5/5
Easy, clean
- 5/5
Beds were super comfy, the yard was landscaped with a generous amount of greens and trees, quiet though very busy
- 3/5
Room was near a noisy HVAC system that cycled on and off continuously. Also quite a bit of corridor noise. Not great value for money.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, good location, friendly staff, easy parking
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 3/5
When I asked if it was OK to stay in the parking lot a few minutes past checkout time, I was assured that it was no problem. It cost me fifty dollars to stay an extra 20 minutes while I finished a relaxing lunch there. The overall experience was OK but I will never again stay with penny ante pikers !
- 4/5
No à la carte menu in the restaurant. Either a full buffet or nothing for breakfast.
- 5/5
Nice stay.
- 5/5
Close to campus, downtown, and eating area
- 5/5
I’d like to express my appreciation for Ishan at the reception desk. He’s an incredibly friendly and thoughtful person who made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. His genuine enthusiasm and attentiveness stood out and truly elevated the experience.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Clean and quiet property.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent. Especially Darnal at the front desk and Tony at the poolside girl.
- 5/5
Also, Ignacio that works in the bar was great! Please extend my sincere thanks!
- 5/5
Staff were helpful and make sure we were comfortable.
- 5/5
It is an older hotel but the hotel was clean and nice and the staff was professional and accommodating. The pool area is very nice. The location is absolutely wonderful if you are visiting Stanford University.
- 5/5
Quiet AC!! Great buffet breakfast; friendly and helpful staff - will come again
- 4/5
Good stay

We were visiting a relative at Stanford Medical Center and the convenience of the hotel’s location made our trip so easy. The property and our room was beautiful.
- 5/5
Another great Saturday of Stanford Football and stay at the Sheraton…..nice dinner at the restaurant/bar in the evening. Outstanding food too!!!
- 5/5
Me and my little niece truly enjoyed our stay very much! Such a beautiful hotel woth lots of things around it to walk around (:
- 5/5
This property was a last minute choice due to availability, but so far the Sheraton is standing tall in this beautiful area. Great stay!
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Its near the Stanford Hospital
- 5/5
7 starts, 1 start for the extremely large water flow and fine water droplets shower head. Another one for the bar in 39 floor
- 3/5
Hotel is average. Ok for a one night stay. Needs some TLC. Rooms are small
- 1/5
It was not a pleasant or restful experience. Not happy !
- 2/5
Very disappointed that I booked a king bed and when I got to the hotel they only had two double beds available. I’m sure I wasn’t given priority because I booked on a third party site. Because people next to me who arrived in line after me were given king sized beds. Also I didn’t liked being given a room next to elevator. Noisy.
- 5/5
We loved water feature and garden
- 5/5
Nice room, good shower pressure and comfortable bed
- 4/5
Open spaces and nice garden. Breakfast could be better

The front desk staff was over the top kind & generous. I was having surgery while there & was given a beautiful upgrade !!! Thanks, Arianna !!!!
- 2/5
Stayed previously and seems like things are a bit run down.
- 5/5
Loved this property we go to San Jose monthly and I would consider making the drive to stay here, lovely room, clean updated. The pool is the focal point, everyone seemed to be having a great time, cocktail's offered off the pool area along with food, which was REALLY good we got sliders which were cooked med and juicy as well as the Caesar salad that even had a hint of anchovy! Fun upbeat atmosphere really enjoyed we were there for a soccer game at Stanford and were able to walk, parking was inexpensive as well.
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
Wish there was complimentary coffee in the morning.

- 5/5
The service was exceptional. Convenient to Stanford. Comfortable, clean rooms with excellent showers. Will stay here again.
- 5/5
The Sheraton Palo Alto is an excellent and very comfy hotel, Beautiful pool with poolside dining. Steps away from Palo Alto Medical Foundation, and only a few more steps to a boutique shopping centre with lots of dining options; also it's across the street from the main entrance to Stanford.
- 5/5
Best sleep in this hotel!

- 5/5
This is a very nice fancy hotel its hard to get to is set on a one way street and cost 7 dollars a night to park on the property. Wasnt expecting that. Overall the hotel is super nice and in a a decent area.
- 4/5
All good
- 3/5
not good looking. very congested room. not worth the price i paid for .
- 4/5
Close to work, so respite for overnights to alleviate the round trips from long commutes between Sonoma county and Stanford. Clean, great bed, helpful friendly staff. I never give five stars because everyone can always strive to be better!
- 4/5
Nice property. We enjoyed the bar/lounge. The only annoyance was ongoing construction.
- 2/5
Stayed because it was very close to Stanford hospital. I checked in late got settled in my bed to find the loudest noise ever that went off constantly. When I called the front desk they informed me it was the elevator and that was it. When checking out I informed the manager that the room should not be occupied and after letting her listen to several videos she gave me 50% off my room and was very apologetic. Other then the elevator the hotel was wonder, very clean, comfortable bed and close to the hospital.
- 5/5
Nice stay
- 5/5
The hostess who checked me in when I arrived was amazing!!!
- 3/5
Under construction at the time of our stay. Poor lighting in parking lot. Staff gives poor directions and not so friendly.
- 5/5
Nice location
- 1/5
very noisy at sunday night, young people talking in hallway, come by late, banging doors. hard to sleep before 1am
- 4/5
The price was a little high, but this is Palo Alto Ca.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Elevator not working and pool was being worked on. Price was the same as if everything was working and up to speed.
- 2/5
Renovation on site..??? Never mentioned while booking - very disappointing
- 2/5
Room was clean and as expected. Employee @ front desk took forever to check us in, very polite and chatty - but his colleague checked in 4 guests while he assisted us. Unsolicited he was repeatedly disparaging of Union members - not knowing anything about us. Not cool. Not a pleasant stay for a Bonvoy Elite member with hundreds of nights on Marriott properties - first critical review ever left - very disappointed.
- 5/5
We stayed for one night. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We would stay there again.
- 1/5
Had a microwave sent to the room while we were out to dinner on our first night and returned to find medication and clothing was stolen. An incident and police report were filed and the hotel did what they could to rectify the situation but since we were staying at the hospital that week we didn’t feel as if our belongings were secured. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful and accommodating after I had surgery but the security of our room is such an issue that we probably will not be returning which is a shame because it’s centrally located to the hospital and a clean property
- 5/5
Fantastic. Was under some refurbishment but priced accordingly.
- 4/5
My nap time.
- 5/5
Awesome property… they are doing some construction/updating otherwise a great place for the price
- 5/5
Stayed here for Christmas because it was close to everything we needed. Very comfortable and quiet. Happy with our stay.
- 5/5
Great staff and very nice rooms!
- 3/5
Booked as it had a pool but that was being renovated. The rooms were in a separate hotel to the reception which involved going past lots of flapping plastic sheeting that hit and soaked you with water as you passed. The lift was lined with cardboard to protect it from builders - I felt like I paid a premium price to visit a building site. The location is good, room was okay once inside it but the hotel guest areas were poor and the Wifi was dire and barely worked in the room and reception.
- 4/5
Lot of construction in pool area. Common areas a little shabby but room was nice with great bed and nice bathroom. Quiet!
- 5/5
At the time I stayed the room was quiet seemed a litlltle bit outdated but still nice close to the stanford hospital and downtown Palo Alto excellent service at the hotel and has a restaurant and a bar at the property will stay again there if needed
- 3/5
Staying at the Sheraton was like entering a pandemic time warp: the room was admirably clean but service was bad, and at times non-existent. I was mainly there to sleep so there was plenty of time to make up my room--yet one day housekeeping skipped it entirely. When I requested two washcloths, I got an entire bag full of towels of every kind. The room was comfortable except for the saggy mattress. Overall my experience alienating, and I was glad to leave.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Beautiful property and the pool was perfect for the kids. They gave me late checkout no charge and they had free parking as well. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great property with plenty of amenities. Conveniently located to campus with friendly, helpful staff.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our requests.

I saw other people getting rooms while.we.waited. they were Stanfoed fans.. we are TCU fans... when I asked after.5 pm for the room.. they said we checked in to early... we checked in after the time a room was suppose to be ready.....room was finallly given to us.
- 5/5
We had a great experience during our stay.
