The parking fee, and they did not mention the 50 Deposit upon arrival.

Convenient location, quick check in. 400$ per night for a dated room is absurd, breakfast and parking on top.

Near to all the parks (accessible) Food. Usually I don’t care about the food but if there’s 5 or 4 people in a family that avail the buffet you kind of expect a “ok” food. The milk was nasty non of the kids wanted to eat the food so they were gonna eat some cereal but end up not eating at all because even the milk was nasty.
- 2.5/5
Honestly i only liked that tbe beds were comfortable The food was so basic for the price that i pay the milk wasnt good it tasted like it was expired prices were relly high the sodas were 7 dollars each i feel like everything was overpriced, also alot if kids were passing by knocking and running there was alot of noise after 10
- 2.5/5
Room clean look nice The pool has to much bleach and the service on the breakfast i don't like the kids get cereal and they want to charge for buffet and they don't have the buffet ready
- 5/5
Clean good food .. good service .. didn't like that I had to pay for parking !!!

Location of hotel is great for Stanford visits. Nightly rate was not too high. Pool open late gave us time to swim. Paying to park on an app. Just include parking in your night rate.

- 3.5/5
Lighting in the room was minimal. It was noisy above us at night.
- 5/5
Love this place! It's so clean, well-kept, and the staff responds to any requests or concerns immediately. The gym is great. The rooms are so comfortable, with the blackout curtains and little-to-no noise. Heaven!
- 4/5
I arrived around 7 receptions seemed annoyed I asked questions about parking and where room was located. I used to work in this industry and know it’s hard at times
- 4/5
Parking was seamless. Quiet night's sleep
- 3/5
Way over priced for a week day. Room was clean stayed two nights first morning only had 1 coffee cup and 1 coffee pouch. I will never stay there again
- 5/5
Friendly staff , everything very clean
- 5/5
clean room and very spacious and comfortable
- 5/5
Loved the convienient location with plenty of restaurants and grocery nearby. Pool and hot tub were such a hit!
- 3/5
No soap! Someone trying to swipe their card on out door and unlock at midnight very disturbing
- 3/5
Room was clean. Staff was mostly ok. It took forever to get hot water for a shower. Really wish coffee was available before the times listed. It doesn’t really take much effort or money to provide coffee longer than 4 hours. I’ve stayed at places where coffee was available 24/7 and they were more reasonable priced than this location. Parking was ok.
- 4/5
Man the rooms were so clean. The first thing I did was check the filter because it asthmatic and I couldn’t believe my eyes spotless. I gave it 4 stars because elevators were not working properly on this day
- 5/5
Great value
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
The place was beautiful and clean. Everyone was super helpful and the food was goo.
- 2/5
Room was out of shampoo and conditioner, room had some trash, toys, and open candy left from previous occupants. Considering the price, I was disappointed. Staff was super friendly at check in, we requested some extra towels and they were brought to us in a timely manner.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful. Shout out to Sierra & Elmi. Room was nice aand comfortable. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Very welcoming at the reception and really clean rooms.
- 5/5
Clean room, very nice staff, easy process. Good standard hotel overall.
- 4/5
Everything was on order
- 4/5
We stay there every year during Thanksgiving since it is close to my relative house. I thought I am a silver member at least so I drink one of the bottle of the water in the room. Then I found out that it cost $3. I called front desk and they are nice enough to waive the fee. Thank you for that.
- 1/5
There were no comparable rooms to switch us to. They offered us adjoining rooms for one night but said we would have to switch back after that night. We were told we were given Hilton Honors points to cover a couple days of our stay, but no such points have been added to our account after being told it was done 5 days ago. This place is nothing but lip service. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
- 5/5
Yes when we entered. But we stayed 3 nights and our beds were never made. No one came into room
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff was nice. Breakfast was not included. Also took me 3 go backs to the staff to get my door fixed. The batteries were low. So it would work once- then lock me out. They eventually fixed it. Just frustrating. Other than that what I expected …clean and quiet …
- 5/5
Clean Rooms, Easy Check in, friendly front staff, overall an excellent experience.
- 4/5
Good stay. Glad for the on site restaurant.
- 3/5
We decided yo stay at this hotel becauae of the indoor pool and it was out of service and there was no compensation for the inconvenience
- 2/5
We were here for a soccer tournament around the corner and booked this place because reviews were good BUT mainly because it had an indoor pool. Unfortunately, it was not noted on hotels.com NOR did anyone mention it at check-in that the pool was closed for renovations. It wasn't until my 9yr old and I went to go and the woman at the front desk tells us it's closed and waves us the paper they have printed at check-in with a smirk. I live 40 mins from Palo Alto and swimming was the only reason I wasted money to stay in the area. There's plenty of other hotels surrounding the area and could've easily chose one of those had it been noted that the pool was closed. On a side note, it would also be good to coordinate closures with community events to avoid doing this during a huge soccer tournament around the corner.
- 5/5
Clean and a good restaurant next door
- 3/5
Good location near hospitals. Restaurant and its personnel were exceptional. Overall, the hotel is tired and needs an update. The driveway entrance is obscured by overgrown trees/foliage and faded tile. It also serves as the garbage pickup and delivery area with a broad service gate left open all the time displaying abundant junk. There are some furnishing updates but significant remnants of dark older items. Wallpaper in room peeling. At the far end of the entrance near the meeting room there is beautiful new decor -- seriously considered expanding this to elevate the property.
- 4/5
Buffet breakfast should be included with stay
- 4/5
The room was noisy from the air conditioning mechanicals room across from our room. I complained to staff but no response.
- 5/5
Excellent service and accommodation
- 4/5
There was a large system down situation at my check-in, which delayed that a bit. It's the only reason is a 4-star experience, not a 5-star.
- 5/5
will stay again
- 5/5
very clean
- 3/5
Elevator were very slow, very crowded all the time, one was out of service for the whole stay
- 4/5
This was a good place to stay. Room was clean and tidy. Checked in online but still had to go to the desk. Parking is underground and there were plenty of spots on Level 2. The pool was disappointing. It’s indoor, cood and quite small. Don’t expect to swim laps. The breakfast buffet was underwhelming for the price. Be sure to bring your breakfast voucher and tell the server you paid in advance.
- 1/5
My daughter was walked in on when changing in our room. Spoke with front desk and another attendant came in to our room without knocking shortly after. Very unsafe for our family. Spoke to supervisor Gabriel. They were going to work with Expedia to refund half of our stay due to our experience
- 5/5
Great place close to everything
- 4/5
Hotel was great, room was great. Only giving 4 stars because when I was first checking in front desk lady seemed a bit moody but not a huge deal.
- 4/5
Nice hotel with underground parking with easy access.
- 1/5
I didn’t like that they can’t do anything about my key room so i had to go always to the front desk when i go out for they can open the room for me and be waiting until they can
- 3/5
The room was great, clean and spacious. I would have given the hotel 5 stars review -knowing that is a solid Hilton inn garden, nothing fancy but clean and nice. The staff and the facilities were disappointing. Hilton has signs that read “if something is wrong please bring it up to our staff and we’ll make it work. Guaranteed”. Turns out that’s not the case. I had two issues, that couldn’t have been solved but were not and staff was unwilling to make it right: 1. Gym closed at 8pm…. And staff was not able or unwilling to unlock, and 2. I was given credit for food that I couldn’t use because I booked through Expedia. This last one I was able to fight and get it waived as I “used” the credit for breakfast on site to use the credit but later was told it wouldn’t apply. They made it right, but took me much longer and complaint which could have been solved in seconds since it was their miscommunication (I had asked twice before using it that it would work and was told yes by two different staff people.

Pleasant stay. Will book again.
- 5/5
Perfect property for our stay in Palo Alto before our meeting tomorrow great location friendly staff quiet and clean parking under hotel easy access to room highly recommend
- 4/5
It was a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, great price.
- 3/5
Good clean property and rooms. Although it’s pet friendly, there’s no dedicated place for dogs to use the bathroom. Had to walk blocks away to find grassy area. AC in room worked, but if you have a little one in the pullout it blasts them first and directly. Kind of a poor room design.
- 5/5
Very clean and in a great area.
- 4/5
Property was nice and staff were great. The indoor heated pool was nice but was way over capacity. People had the back door propped out and it felt like people not staying at the hotel were swimming. There was about 50 people all from one family there making it miserable for my family.
- 4/5
Typical American-style hotel! It's not bad in many ways, but it seems that the characteristics of the American hotel are inevitable that they are bothered by the noise between floors! It's up to luck
- 4/5
Nice, quiet hotel. Good location. Only wished the food in the restaurant was better.
- 5/5
We took an overnight trip to Stanford University. This hotel was great! Easy to get yo, plenty of parking, great breakfast included, nice clean comfortable room.

They didn't make the bed even though I asked for service. Overall poor, only redeeming feature is it is clean.
- 5/5
Having a restaurant on-site was very convenient and we enjoyed dining there. Staff were courteous and so glad reservations were made at this hotel - plan to stay again soon!!
- 5/5
Nice and clean, looks very fresh. We stayed as family only 1 night but underground parking with Ev charger and elevator made it very convenient
- 5/5
I like the way the rooms look
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
Pretty nice compared to last place we stayed at down the street. Here for business. It was surprisingly quiet (we don’t live in a city) and the people were friendly. Will come again next time we have to stay in Palo Alto
- 5/5
It was very nice stay.
- 5/5
The staff was very day
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
It’s nice to know what to except. I’m never disappointed. Like the horrible Nest Palo Alto.
- 3/5
Heard the people above us all night. Sounded like the roof was caving in!!! Night a quiet restful place.
- 5/5
Slept like a baby. Mattress was good compared to others hotels. Breakfast available where you don’t have to leave the hotel so early in the morning. I highly recommend it
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Convenient hotel restaurant. Safe underground parking, but they charge $20 for parking.
- 2/5
Also everything was very expensive, bag of Chez its (small snack size) was $7 - seems like a lot.
- 5/5
Friendly front counter person. Nice staff. Cable TV was disconnected/not working upon arrival.
- 2/5
They were very short staffed. I called from my room 3 separate times to request 2 towels, phone was never answered, when i wenr to ask i was told no staff. Also, at check in they asked igf i needed a service the next day. I said yes, but no one serviced the room.

Location to Sanford a little far by foot
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and they have special rates for Stanford Hospital patients
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Very poor food in restaurant...so nobody comes. But the bar keeper is terrific. Very good location...walk to Hobees and other restaurants.
- 5/5
Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. Convenient parking
- 4/5
Its convenient they have ev charging in their underground parking. However their walls are a bit thin and we can hear the neighbors shower through the wall. The blankets are also a bit thin around the winter time.
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Staff were very nice and helpful. Stayed in an assessable room. Very helpful to me as I recently had knee replacement surgery. It would have been nice if the pool was heated.

We were visiting the Palo Alto area for the first time. Beyond visiting some local attractions, we were able to catch both a hockey game as well as a Stanford football game. Location was great; use of the easy access parking garage, as well as accessible public transportation helped make the most of our stay. For example, the rapid transit bus got me to the Stanford stadium in less than fifteen minutes.
- 5/5
The rooms were very spacious, clean, comfortable. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Traveling with my elderly ADA mother and this hotel was perfect.
- 3/5
I would say that service can be better with customer service
- 1/5
The sheets were not changed on our bed. Someone’s fingernails were in the bed. I told the front desk and they brought us ONE sheet for us to change, not even a new set when clearly the pillow cases and all were not changed. So gross. Also don’t love that they charge $20 a night for parking. Won’t be back.
- 5/5
I like everything about this hotel
- 5/5
All was great, no complaints.
- 5/5
“ Lisa was amazing at front desk. I arrived early after working a 12 hour nightshift . She was able to accommodate me by providing an early check in for me. The was great and quiet for me. I also included breakfast only suggestion“ more variety and keep it warm . Was cold
- 4/5
Was very peaceful
- 5/5
Close to the hospital
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay here. We stayed with small children. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, but was a little bummed that if you wanted an omelette that was an extra $$$ cost. Otherwise there was fruit, yogurt, cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, bagels, etc. They served breakfast potatoes also but both days we had them they were not good, dry and hard. The lobby and lounging area is beautiful and clean. Pool and gym were very clean also, and gym had great new equipment. Staff was very pleasant. Would stay again.

- 1/5
Prices of food were insane and while their hotels profile does not adequate depict amenities. No continental breakfast.
- 5/5
I appreciate the online check-in
- 5/5
Stayed for two night's. This hotel is close to Stanford University. Check-in was smooth. I asked and was given two bottles of water. My room was clean. The keurig machine and several pods were useful. There is a refrigerator, microwave, and a safe. Unfortunately, like most hotels, the shower water pressure wasn't very strong. The restaurant and bar were nice. There is also a HAPPY HOUR. If you are visiting the area this hotel is a nice option.
- 4/5
Overall, nice experience and property and room over average. Kinda sketchy around property after dark.
- 5/5
Solid place to stay in the area. Bringing dog was no issue.

This property has everything needed for an enjoyable stay. I always choose this hotel when I’m in town for work.

Nice well kept property in a great location. There was no room service and no continental breakfast. Breakfast was on the pricey side as was the restaurant.
- 5/5
Very convenient to Stanford Hospital. Good food, wonderful breakfast, great room
- 5/5
Great customer service at the front desk. Super friendly and accommodating.

The pillow smelled weird. Seemed it had been used. Others were fine.
- 5/5
Good stay. Area is just very expensive.
- 5/5
Great location, good service
- 5/5
Smooth check-in, and pleasant staff.
- 4/5
I did not like the idea that you charge for continental breakfast most hotels do not charge for continental breakfast that was a disappointment
- 5/5
I’m by no means a hotel snob, but I was still surprised at how well the experience at this Hilton Garden Inn in Palo Alto. Traffic was a nightmare and I was able to chat with the staff directly (as a passenger) and clarify details. The keyless mobile feature was nice, allowing me to use the phone to check in, check out and enter my room. If you’re visiting the peninsula, I’d actually drive a city or two to stay here now that I know what to expect.
- 5/5
Good

I was disappointed in the service. We ordered room service and it was late and wrong. The pool/spa out of service and did not mention prior to checking in.
