Great value for money. A well-run establishment. Not a high end hotel, to be sure, but it did right by all the basic necessities. Friendly staff, esp. Kevin at reception. Room was spotless, bed comfortable, and came equipped with a microwave, fridge, TV, coffee maker, and a hairdryer. Easy parking. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was ok, no eggs, bacon or toast for the price I paid. Breakfast was kids size / a cup size juice and in a clear plastic packaged sweet chocolate didn't know what to called its flat and thin layer. The refrigerator was not closing and it was i across the bed I slept the oir that don't close was making me cold. The bathroom tub had dark foot marks.

Staff/Management of the hotel very experienced and very good. Amenities in the room were thoughtful and better than expected. The room was very clean. A great value for the money. Nothing.

The juice and breakfast bun were a nice touch. The water and coffee were also a nice bonus in the room. The soaps and lotion were appreciated and smelled great. Parking was tight. The room did feel a little dated but was clean overall. Still good for a couple of nights

The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful - she even came to my room to let me know I had left my car door open! The room was spacious enough and had all the features I like - refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. The room was clean and everything was in working order. The motel was quiet at night, so I slept really well. There was ample parking at night as well. The breakfast isn't that healthy, and I missed having a gym.

There were even little juices and pastries. Bathroom was super clean too. I would definitely recommend. Also, if you stay here, you HAVE to eat at Honbee’s, you won’t be disappointed!

Mattresses suck slept on the floor

I like everything so much except the name which I think is misleading because it sounds like it will be schlocky, but it was very sweet. It was not fancy it was homey and Kevin at the desk was lovely. I really enjoyed my stay. Although there was no breakfast, there were two pastries, which actually were not very good and a bottle of apple juice and a bottle of grape juice and the usual coffee. So that was a really nice unexpected touch. It was just a thoughtful place I would come and stay again The pastries that were left there were a lovely idea, but the reality didn’t quite catch up. They were pretty un tasty.

Convenient location. Always great parking. Super quiet. It’s quite cozy with a little chair outside your door. I just loved everything about it.

There was dust & the edge of the carpet was dirty but it looked like it was just missed in cleanup. Was reported to staff & they took it seriously..

It was very well maintained but the wash basin was separate from the bathtub—probably because it was meant for a person in a wheelchair.

I’ve stayed here several times and I’m certain I’ll visit again. The staff are wonderful and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The location is ideal for my needs whether I’m driving or using mass transit. It’s close to key shopping centers and neighboring communities. Nothing comes to mind.

I've been taking my son to the Children's Hospital, and I've been really impressed with the experience. They often have wonderful deals, and the staff truly goes above and beyond. What touched me the most was when we arrived; the first thing one of the staff members asked was how my day was. It really made me feel supported during a challenging time.

I was doing a craft show down there. And while looking for a hotel, I read the reviews and this hotel had really good reviews. Well if you’re reading this, I’m letting you know that it’s a great place to stay , great value, clean just what we needed.!! Definitely will be using this hotel again.

This property is in desperate need of updating. My mattress was at least 30 years old. My microwave was broken. Tiles were broken and carpet was dingy and smelled bad.

I had a surgery scheduled at Stanford in the early morning, so I wanted to be somewhat close. The room was cozy, quiet and the bed was comfortable. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming. The only thing that I noticed was that the desk in the room needed refinishing because it had a lots of scrapes and looked beat up. Everything else was great!

Our room was clean and neat. We didn't need housekeeping except to get more towels, and that was no problem. It was quiet. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This was a good choice for an overnight stay prior to an appointment at Stanford Medical Center. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. There were several restaurants within 1 mile for dinner, although the only place open at 6:30 am for breakfast was McDonalds. I would definitely return on future visits.

Felt safe since it's near other hotels and there are some 2nd floor rooms available too. Also very convenient because the Avis/Budget is two buildings down on the other side of the preschool. In comparison to the *hotel* I just came from near Carmel, here are several ways this motel was MUCH better. These may sound like basics but you'd be surprised how many independent hotels (not chains) even don't pay attention to the little details - WAY cleaner. Even had a paper to indicate cleaned toilet - no water stains or any other kinds of stains on sink or counter - photo-based instructions in tub to indicate how to turn on shower - not a speck of hair or dust or anything visible anywhere - no lingering scents - multiple lined trash bins - NO creepy crawlies - curved shower curtain bar with 2-layer liner so it doesn't stick to you AND the floor stays dry - good sized fridge included small mini freezer section - microwave and coffee maker available - free water, juice, coffee, and snacks provided - both individually-wrapped coffee cups and plastic cups provided - great water pressure The furnishings and walls and such may be outdated but I would much rather have that for such a clean, quiet, inexpensive place to safe with fantastic service than pay more and still be disappointed in the state of my room. Would absolutely stay here again in Palo Alto!

This is one of the best stays I've had recently. Front desk was very hospitable and seemed genuinely grateful for the patronage. Sky Ranch will be at the top of my list next time I am in need of any overnight stays in the area. Bonus: complementary bottled water, and snacks in the room!

Kevin at front desk is the best! He made our stay very pleasant and very helpful in many ways. The area and hotel very quiet and safe. I would definitely recommend but make sure to pay a lil extra and request for queen beds as the tv seems to have many more channels and very very comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable. The tv we never got to work. The bathroom is small but the shower was amazing! Had great water pressure in the shower…was awesome! There were no hangers in the closet, we had an ironing board but no iron and the bedding had quite the stain on the cover. The bathtub had dust on the rim. We didn’t complain because our room was cheap. We were in town for a medical appt and literally just needed the room to sleep in. But I will not go this budget ever again. Our room was right off the major portion of the parking lot and it was very loud out there. Finally got some sleep around 2 am. Just know you’re truly getting what you pay for. If you’re ok with that, then this is the place for you. Oh, the heater worked great.

We checked in with a very cheerful, helpful, and efficient young lady: a pleasant change from the grumpy, unhelpful, elderly fellow a couple of years ago: he was the reason we stopped coming for a while.

Property and room seemed very old with furniture very “used”. Check in was unusually slow and somewhat challenging as I had to call the attendant on my cell while looking at him through a glass window. Bed was comfortable and there was coffee and complimentary water bottles in the room which was nice.

For a motel that we only need for about 6 hours, I had low expectations. Surprisingly, this motel was cleaner than I expected & the tv/furniture were more updated than expected. My only issue was that I couldn’t figure out the shower.

The room was ant-infested. Although the reservation was made through Expedia, the employee was charged again at check out. We were able to resolve but it was a waste of time and energy.

The property was in a great location. close to restaurants. the room was big but i would hear the upstairs guest walking around and the next door neighbors talking loudly. the toilet seat was broken and a long ass hair was found in the sink.

I requested a first floor room but was provided a 2nd floor room and no elevator. Made multiple trips up/down at first because my digital key would not open the door. The Manager finally came and found that my door lock needed a new battery to work. The next issue was the TV remote control did not turn the TV on and I did not find out that the TV power button had to be used until I came back to the hotel after work the following day. Also there is no desk service until 7:00 AM so you need to check out the night before if you have any early flights out of any airport.

I stayed in room 114 where the bottom sheets of both queen beds were not long enough. I arrived late due to a family member being in the Hospital. I had to use a towel to cover the dirty mattress pad.

A good, basic room. Everything worked except one bedside lamp. Carpet a little frayed by front door. I really liked the looks of the place on the outside. Staff was friendly, courteous and accommodating.

We feel very comfortable and safe at the American Best Value Inn Sky Ranch and the staff is friendly.

There is a mini-fridge in the room (a larger one), as well as a microwave, small coffee maker, water, juices, wrapped pastries, sugar, coffee stirrers, shampoo, soap, lotion, and the tv is a nice size LG flat screen. There is also a laundry facility and an ice maker just off the small parking lot (comp parking). It is also nice that you can park in front of your room door. There is AC in the room, and although a little loud (older units), it completely drowns out the street noise, if any. Cons: the inside of the rooms are very outdated. The carpet is dingy dark green, and the tub had chips in it's plastic insert, as well as a long black curly hair on the floor. Our room keys deactivated each day as well, causing us to have to go into the office each day (including on our first day there), to get the room keys reactivated. It is true (based on other reviews) that the bed covers are plastic and make noise when you move in the bed. But it wasn't as annoying to me as others stated. I found the bed to be okay, and not uncomfortable but also not luxurious as if you were staying next door at the Hilton.

Great location, but overpriced for such a basic motel like setting. Need to mark down the price since there is no pool, workout room, and no breakfast. If you can't offer these, then bring the price down to those basic levels. Thanks

This hotel was great! Customer service upon check in and check out was awesome. The desk clerk was so nice! Definitely will stay there again in the future.
